00:00Hello and welcome to this Western Australian Jane's Weather Outlook for Friday.

00:05What we have at the moment is Cyclopheda up in the north.

00:08That is going to do a bit of a drive-by past Darwin over the weekend

00:11to like it to pass through there on Saturday night.

00:13Now the moisture remains from that aren't likely to come down to us here.

00:17They're likely to be picked up by the winds and whisked across over into the east.

00:21However, we've got our own interesting weather system to deal with tomorrow

00:25and for the next couple of days.

00:27Now, there is a big cricket match on in town.

00:29I'm going to detail what that means for Perth

00:31and there is some pretty good news in that.

00:33So today, there's a little bit of wet weather activity.

00:35There's across the far south in through here.

00:37We've got heatwave conditions in here.

00:39Let's have a look day by day what to expect.

00:40So here's Friday, lots of sunshine if we're in the Perth area

00:43which has got this little bit that is moving in through here

00:46thanks to a low pressure system that is over at South Australia.

00:49So there's Friday.

00:50Having a look at Saturday, here is our next low that is going to affect us.

00:55Have a look at where this is here.

00:57Perth is right on the top border of that area of rain.

01:00So the southwest is going to get it.

01:02The Perth is right on the border.

01:03I'll go into the details in terms of timing in a second.

01:06But this one here is a low pressure system

01:08and watch it kind of just move around over the next couple of days.

01:11So there's Saturday into Sunday but started to do a bit of a return

01:15and then come back up here again.

01:17Into Monday still moving through and then Tuesday and then Wednesday it is gone.

01:22So it's kind of doing a little loop-de-loop through there getting a new surge of energy

01:26and coming up.

01:27But it is going to stay over in that southwestern corner.

01:31Then through Wednesday, Thursday, next Friday and then into Saturday

01:34there's nothing much happening thanks to high pressure that is just back over to our west

01:38forming a ridge that moves underneath us.

01:40Meanwhile the remains, the leftovers of that cyclone, the moisture from that

01:44is likely to move away into the east and just keep on coming over the next week or two.

01:49What might all of this add up to?

01:50If you're in that southwest corner there are some good falls over the next couple of days there.

01:54So it starts tomorrow and goes for about four days.

01:5715 to 25, 25 to 50 in three here.

02:00Less, less, less as you move further inland.

02:03All right, let's unpack this for Perth.

02:05Lots of sunshine today, top of about 28.

02:08So today is the great day.

02:1026, then 21, 21, 21.

02:13So this is where we're going in terms of temperature.

02:15As soon as the cricket finishes, hey, we're back to sunshine.

02:17But let's unpack the timing of what's likely to happen here.

02:21So today we've got all of our sunshine and our temperatures in the high 20s.

02:25Possible showers early and late.

02:27Let's have a look at this.

02:28Here it is, gone by 10 a.m.

02:30So early in terms of the slight potential for wet weather.

02:34During the day it is looking like sunshine.

02:37So here we are in the mid-20s.

02:38So the day on Saturday is looking very good.

02:41Then the showers come back in, hey, after dark.

02:43So it's early and late.

02:45The day itself on Sunday is good.

02:47So keep that in mind.

02:48Have you a look at Sunday and through here we've got early wet weather.

02:52And then it clears and then we're all fine.

02:55So that's gone by about 9 or 10 o'clock on Sunday.

02:58So good news there as well.

03:00Now let's have a look at Monday.

03:01We've got early.

03:02We've got the potential for something.

03:04But it's hardly anything at all by the time we get to Monday.

03:07So Monday is also looking quite good.

03:09Here we have Tuesday early pre-dawn.

03:11And then it is all fine.

03:13So we've got good news for the cricket.

03:14Yes, there is potential for wet weather as we move through days two through to five.

03:19But it's all early or late.

03:21And the days in between are looking quite good.
