00:00Hello and welcome to this South Australian Janesweather update for Monday.
00:04We've got a cold outbreak movie across the South East, so what we're seeing here,
00:08lots of showers streaming in on gusty southwesterly winds and it has reduced the temperature.
00:13So showers that aren't really adding up to very much.
00:16Let's have a look day by day.
00:17What this adds up to today is just a couple of millimetres at best.
00:20Nothing extends into the north, but here's our gusty southwesterly winds.
00:24So that's Monday.
00:25Have a look at Tuesday.
00:26We continue on the same sort of theme.
00:28We've got another cold outbreak brewing to our south.
00:31Moving through Wednesday, the middle of the week, the next high-pressure system starting to come in.
00:36So on Thursday, that's when it starts to pass through.
00:39So the cold outbreak moving across to the South East.
00:42Now we have a look over to the West, the next system that is brewing.
00:45So that starts to come in in the later hours of Thursday.
00:48On Friday, there it is mainly confined to the West, but we might see something in through here.
00:52Out ahead of this, there is a burst of heat.
00:55So not quite making it right down to the coast, but if you're inland, yes, you're going to have a couple of days of significantly above-average temperatures coming through there, which will be a bit of a change from what we've seen.
01:05So here's Friday, this next system coming in into Saturday.
01:08It may be moving past, so there's a trough by the end of the day on Saturday.
01:12May showers and thunderstorms hit and miss activity.
01:16There's Saturday into Sunday.
01:17That now moves out to the east, and we are on the cooler side of that one there.
01:21But there's no real cold air in behind this one.
01:24So the cold outbreaks we've been having every couple of days.
01:28We're no longer seeing that by the end of the week.
01:30Yes, another one could come back, but in the current weather pattern, it's all about the heat instead.
01:35So there's Sunday, and into next Monday, we might get our next system kickoff.
01:38A feed of moisture from the north, there could be something happening up in the top end that is quite interesting.
01:43And another instability coming in from the west, they combine over us, and it could produce some big things next week.
01:50Okay, so what might that add up to?
01:52Most of it is over in the west because that's where it stalls, and then we see a little bit of that come on through.
01:56Now, if you are under a shower or thunderstorm, then yes, it will produce a heavier fall, but generally nothing significant in the week ahead.
02:04Have a look at Adelaide.
02:05Let's have a look at our temperatures, first of all, 16, 18, but the wet weather doesn't add up to very much.
02:10Look at the wind direction.
02:11We're southwesterly.
02:12We're fairly gusty.
02:14Now the wind dies down here, and then it turns more to an east-to-north-eastly flavour.
02:19That corresponds with our warmer temperatures.
02:21So 16, 18, 18, 19, 23.
02:24There we are by Friday, so that's kind of our jump day.
02:26And then across the weekend, we're in the mid-to-high 20s.
02:29This will be considerably hotter if we are further north, and it is something to watch out for in terms of our next warm-air period.
02:37But there is some wet weather, mainly on Saturday as it comes through.
