00:00Hello and welcome to this Western Australian Janesweather Outlook for Friday.

00:04We've got a low pressure system that is over here.

00:07Most of that wet weather is staying to the north and will move eastwards.

00:10In the southwest corner we've got some very light showers coming through.

00:14High pressure is back over to our west.

00:15So as long as that high is back over to our west, we are on its milder side.

00:19Here's all of that wet weather activity that is moving to our north,

00:22not coming down into the southwest corner.

00:24Let's have it day by day.

00:25Here we have Friday into Saturday.

00:27High is still back to our west, still on its milder side.

00:30Here is the wet weather.

00:31Have you a look at Sunday.

00:32High pressure system sitting in through here, starting to ridge out.

00:36And instead, low is here.

00:37We've got a heat trough that is running down the coast.

00:40So with our high coming in, our winds turning northeasterly, then we can warm up again.

00:45So as we go through Monday, there is our heat coming in in northeasterly winds.

00:49Here is our next low pressure system.

00:51So showers and thunderstorms with this one.

00:53Let's watch that as it goes through the week.

00:55There's Monday, Tuesday starting to dip down a little bit.

00:59Wednesday, there it is right into that southwest corner.

01:02Thursday starting to move inland.

01:04And Friday starting to move away, but still getting it in that southwest corner.

01:07So it gets really, really stretched out by the end of the week.

01:10So that kicks off early next week, deepens in the middle of the week,

01:14and keeps going through to the end.

01:16What might that add up to?

01:17Some decent falls if you're underneath a shower or thunderstorm.

01:20So this isn't widespread steady rain.

01:22Instead, it's hit and miss showers and thunderstorms.

01:26If you're directly underneath one, then yes, it is going to bring a heavy fall.

01:29But in terms of the area that they are possible, this is it here.

01:32So it is the vast majority of Western Australia.

01:35It starts off here over the weekend and moves down into the southwest as the week goes on.

01:40So let's have a look at what that might mean for Perth.

01:42Here's our milder conditions, about 23, 24 as we go through Friday, Saturday.

01:46Temperatures starting to rise as we move into the later part of the weekend.

01:49And then they jump as we move into Monday.

01:52So lots of sunshine all through this part here.

01:54Clouds starting to build on Tuesday.

01:56That's about 30, 29 by Wednesday.

01:59Here's our chance of wet weather.

02:00Again, hit and miss showers and thunderstorms directly underneath one.

02:04Yes, you're going to see it.

02:05Otherwise, there's a fair bit of sunshine and the heat continues.

02:08That starts to taper off as we move through the later part of the week,

02:11as that system starts to edge eastwards.
