00:00Hello and welcome to this New South Wales James weather update for Friday.
00:04We have fairly clear skies, there's a system to the west, but then if you are on that east coast you are stuck under cloud
00:10and there are showers moving in and it's on the cool side.
00:14There are heatwave conditions just to our north though.
00:16This system and this system, they are going to combine over the next couple of days, so let's watch this in action.
00:22We've got our clouds and our showers that are along the coast here, but in the northeast we have the risk of afternoon showers and thunderstorms.
00:29That is today, so that's Friday, having a look at Saturday.
00:33That area expands, so showers and thunderstorms plus cloud and showers along the coastline.
00:38This one's starting to come here into the southwest.
00:41Watch it quickly move through as we go into Sunday.
00:43So this wet weather activity increases.
00:45We've got a low that is off the coast, but it is well off the coast, but we're going to see a nice wraparound into that.
00:50So showers and thunderstorms as we move through the day on Sunday with dry breaks in between.
00:55Okay, so there's Sunday into Monday.
00:57We still have some activity in the east as that low moves away.
01:00There's more moisture coming down from here.
01:02There is cyclone fiender that is up in the north there.
01:04That is just going to have some leftover moisture that has to go somewhere and may just keep feeding our systems as we go through the next week or two or maybe even longer.
01:13So there's Monday into Tuesday.
01:15This is coming through into Wednesday.
01:18It increases in the east again into Thursday.
01:20That's when we're looking fairly dry.
01:22Next Friday, a fairly big break, and then what do you know, another system coming through as we go and move into next weekend.
01:29So what might all of that add up to?
01:31It's the east that sees it.
01:32Anything yellow, 25 to 50 millimetres.
01:34If you're under a storm, it can bring a heavy fall.
01:37If you're over in the west, there's just the chance of that coming through.
01:40Fed by the moisture, but it depends where that low pressure moves as to who actually gets that rain.
01:45At the moment, it's looking like it is on the low side of likely.
01:49So it's the east that has most of the wet weather.
01:51So let's unpack that for Sydney.
01:53Here we have clouds and lots of showers streaming through and cooler air, 19 and 20, as we move through Friday and Saturday.
01:59So cloudy skies, cool conditions, showers streaming through in from the southeast.
02:04Into Sunday, temperatures jump up during the afternoon as sunshine returns.
02:08So the showers in the morning, sunshine in the afternoon on Sunday.
02:12Back into Monday, we've got that cloud back over again.
02:15There are some light showers.
02:16It's not going to add up to very much.
02:18Temperatures are back down.
02:19We warm up again as we move through later next week.
02:22Tuesday is looking quite nice.
02:23Thursday is looking quite nice.
02:25We're likely to see an increase in showers during the day on Wednesday.
