00:00Hello and welcome to this Victorian Jane's Weather update for Monday.
00:04We have yet another cold outbreak moving through, but it is here for just one day only.
00:08Showers are streaming through from the southwest, drying up as they head into the north and over into east Gippsland.
00:13So it's got the clouds and the colder winds associated with that.
00:17Today, this is what to expect from that.
00:19It's the southwest, western parts of Gippsland, Melbourne area and up into the ranges.
00:23It dries out as you head further north and east.
00:26Have you look at Tuesday, here we have mainly about the coastal parts there just up into the ranges, fairly dry in the north and east.
00:33Have you look at Wednesday, very similar, it's just about that coastal fringe that faces the southwest.
00:38However, we've got another cold outbreak that is here off the coast, so that is going to come through during the day on Thursday.
00:44It's a reduction in temperatures, particularly for the south, but not a huge increase in wet weather.
00:49So that does spread over to the east as the day goes on with that next punchy cold outbreak coming out.
00:54With that, we'll get reduction in temperatures and overnight as well, but it's fairly dry air as it comes through.
01:00Now, after that, there's a trough that kicks off in through here.
01:04This cold outbreak has energy with it.
01:06It will fuel the next thing for New South Wales.
01:09So watching that in through here and how it doesn't come down into Victoria as we move through the day on Friday.
01:15Instead, Friday's looking quite nice.
01:16Have you look at Saturday, things start to warm up.
01:19We're going to get a burst of heat coming through.
01:20We'll particularly feel that in the northern parts of the state and anywhere that doesn't have any wet weather.
01:25So here's this big system, and here's the next one that is coming over.
01:29That is likely to meet over us on Sunday as it comes through.
01:33So this one comes down into here, most of the wet weather in the east because it is an eastern New South Wales system.
01:39We've got that little bit that comes across from the west as well, plus the heat that is involved in this.
01:44You're going to mainly feel that in the north.
01:46There is Sunday, and into Monday there might be another one coming through on Tuesday.
01:51All right, so what might that add up to?
01:52There's nothing overly significant here unless you're underneath one of these storms that comes down from the east,
01:58and so you might get a heavier fall, particularly if you're near those eastern ranges there.
02:01But otherwise, it really doesn't add up to much during this week.
02:05So in Melbourne, day by day, showers are streaming through.
02:08We're about 16 as the peak during the day.
02:11So yes, this is a chilly one.
02:12Watch temperatures jump up as we move through Tuesday and Wednesday, so it's back into the low 20s.
02:17If you're in all of Victoria, it's a lot warmer than that.
02:20We're looking at dry conditions pretty much during the day on Tuesday.
02:24There may be some showers in the evening, and then back to generally dry conditions on Wednesday.
02:28Exposed parts are going to see more than that.
02:30Heading to Thursday, that's when our next cold outbreak comes through.
02:33So back down to 16, but hardly any wet weather with it as it comes in.
02:37On Friday, looking quite nice.
02:38Lots of sunshine, a cool start, and then about 18.
02:41temperatures jumping up as we move through the later part of the weekend into early next week.
02:46Now, with this, there may be a little bit of wet weather, showers, the potential for
02:50thunderstorms as it comes through, and then it's most likely going to be on Sunday or the
02:55later hours of Saturday night.
02:56So that's when our next wet weather is, but it doesn't impact the temperature.
03:00There's no cold air with that one, which is a bit of a change as to what we've had in
03:04the past.
03:05As always, head to Farmer Line Weather for the latest.
