00:00Hello and welcome to this Janesweather update national forecast for Monday.
00:05What we have is the remains of a cold outbreak moving away from the southeast,
00:09so it's a warming trend from here.
00:11There is one more front ready to cross the bias that isn't going to have too much of an impact in the southeast.
00:16Meanwhile, we have the remains of the big cloud band, the big rain band that moved through
00:20with the inverted showers and thunderstorms, so there's a bit more to come from that today.
00:25Then that retreats back into the north before it comes back down once again.
00:28OK, so let's have a look at day by day.
00:30So back here we've got what the day is.
00:32This is by the end of the day and what it adds up to.
00:35So this is Monday the 13th.
00:37Here's the remains of the showers over the southeast, not much.
00:40We do have this band of rain that was moving through southeast Queensland.
00:43The chance of showers and thunderstorms redeveloping during the afternoon,
00:47but it won't be as severe as what we had before.
00:49Maybe the odd isolated severe storm outbreak there.
00:53Otherwise, we've got this up in the north.
00:55Now, let's have a look at our colours here.
00:57So here we have the reds and the purple.
00:59That indicates our hot air.
01:01The blues here, that indicates our cold air.
01:03We had a huge cold outbreak in through here.
01:06No more of that for a little while.
01:07Instead, let's watch the red ones.
01:09So here we have on Tuesday, here is the wet weather across the north.
01:13We've got warm to hot air that is dipping down into the west there,
01:16but not quite making it to the southwest coast.
01:19High pressure is here by the end of Tuesday.
01:21There goes that cold front, really just affecting Tasmania as it goes past
01:25and the coastal fringe in through here.
01:26So there's Tuesday.
01:28Into Wednesday, high pressure now out over the Tasman Sea.
01:31So we've got northwesterly winds coming into the southeast and an increase in heat.
01:35You can see it in terms of these red lines coming down.
01:39Now, the cool change is here.
01:41And on that, we have showers and thunderstorms.
01:43We've also got this dipping down into the southern parts of Queensland during the day on Wednesday.
01:47Okay, into Thursday, the cool change is here by the end of the day.
01:52We've got our start of showers and thunderstorms moving through.
01:55We've got this that is running in through here.
01:57We've got the remains of this up the top.
01:59Lots of heat that is built in there.
02:01Next high pressure system is here by the end of Thursday.
02:04So let's watch this explode as we move through Friday.
02:06A cold change working its way up the coast to have a look at that.
02:09There's our next cold outbreak.
02:11That snowed down to 600 metres again, just clipping the southern parts of Tasmania.
02:15So, yes, another chilly surge coming through at the end of the week.
02:19So this pushes up.
02:20We end up with showers and storms on the trough line that is in through here.
02:24Next high pressure system over the Bight by the end of Friday.
02:27Might actually get something in the southwest.
02:29We've got our heat dipping down once again.
02:31Not quite making it over into that corner or it's there very quickly.
02:35So this comes through.
02:36Here's our heat out ahead of it trying to make it into the southeast.
02:39Next high pressure system by the end of Saturday is here.
02:42So that's the remains of the showers and thunderstorms.
02:44So you've got the high here, you've got the heat coming down and then a cool change in behind it that brings some wet weather.
02:49Let's watch that.
02:50So this Saturday into Sunday, we're starting to see a line that is coming down in through here.
02:55Heat out ahead.
02:56That'll move into New South Wales and into Queensland as well.
02:59And then this one here could be some decent rain, but it's a full week away.
03:03So I'd keep an eye on the models to see if that one is still there by the time we get there.
03:08What might that add up to, including that last burst of rain?
03:11Because this is to the end of next Monday.
03:13There's nothing here that is yellow apart from right up in the corner here.
03:16So there's nothing significant over the next week.
03:19If you're under a shower or thunderstorm, then yes.
03:21But in terms of widespread heavy rain, no, we don't have it.
03:25A bit in the southwest, so returning to some wet weather, but that's not until next weekend.
03:29We've got this in through here, but it's pretty light considering what we have had.
03:32We've got the remains of that band from this morning.
03:35Otherwise, it's light falls unless you're underneath a thunderstorm.
03:38As always, head to Farm and Lime Weather for the last.
