00:00Hello and welcome to this New South Wales Janesweather update for Monday.
00:04We have a cold outbreak that has crossed the southeast.
00:07You can see it here, you can see exactly where the top of that is as we move through Monday morning.
00:12Remembering that's in AEST.
00:13So there's the cold air that is moving up the coast, otherwise we are now looking fairly clear.
00:18The remaining cloud from the weekend's rain has moved away and all we have is just this activity up in the northeast there.
00:24So we're fairly clear but we've got some cooler air that is coming through.
00:27So the cold outbreak out over the Tasman Sea by the end of the day.
00:31There's hardly any wet weather that is left over, just this in the southeast which is pretty much gone.
00:35That in southeast Queensland which most of that was earlier on.
00:38Then some showers and thunderstorms this afternoon.
00:40So today it's fairly quiet, we've got high pressure that's here by the end of it.
00:44As we move through to Tuesday, very quiet again.
00:46We've got mild conditions, mild to warm.
00:48Heading into Wednesday, things are looking very quiet.
00:51We've got this here, a trough that is in Queensland.
00:53It's not really crossing the border.
00:54We have a look at Thursday, that's when it does cross the border as this one comes through.
00:59Now I want to point out these red lines here, that is heat.
01:02A surge of heat coming down from the northwest.
01:04So that's building on Wednesday and Thursday.
01:07And then when you get this trough that is in through here, that is the cool change that is working its way northward.
01:12So ahead of that we have showers and thunderstorms.
01:15Moving into Friday, they explode, particularly over the northeastern quarter of the state.
01:20We'll get a little bit of activity in the south but not much.
01:23Now by the end of Friday, here is the cool change up to here.
01:27So hot, then cool by the end of it but not quite in that northeast corner.
01:31Showers and thunderstorms, let's watch them.
01:33As we move into Saturday, they are still sitting up in through here and we are milder thanks to the next cold outbreak that is moving through.
01:40But by the end of Saturday, we've got high pressure that is sitting here.
01:43Quickly into Sunday, not much happening.
01:45The next burst of heat is coming down.
01:47So that's really there next Monday.
01:49And of the next cool change coming in, they could have a little bit of rain.
01:52And let's see how that is looking as we move through next Tuesday.
01:55Not quite making it there but certainly something to watch if you're after rain in the southern parts of New South Wales.
02:01All right, let's have a look at what that adds up to.
02:03Fairly quiet.
02:04We don't have any more huge widespread areas of rain.
02:08We've just got hit and miss thunderstorms which are pretty much over the northeast and that is it.
02:12Under these, if you're directly under a storm, it could be a heavy fall.
02:16But generally, widespread, nothing heavy.
02:18Let's have a look at Sydney.
02:19Today, just 23.
02:21So we've definitely got a decrease in temperature.
02:23In terms of our dew point, that's gone right down to 10.
02:26So we're feeling mild.
02:27We're looking at 26, 25.
02:29These are lovely days.
02:30There should be lots of sunshine during the day.
02:32Even our winds are light.
02:33So beautiful.
02:34As we move through the later part of the week, the dew point increases.
02:37So the amount of moisture in the air increases.
02:38So it'll start to feel a little bit different.
02:41Temperatures rise as well up to the low 30s as we go through Friday.
02:44Then we've got that change coming through.
02:46The risk of thunderstorms.
02:47We've got showers likely.
02:49So there is a change coming through later on Friday, 31 and then 20 as we move through Saturday.
02:54But it clears out during the early morning.
02:57As always, head to Farm Online Weather for the latest.
