00:00Hello and welcome to the South Australian Jane's weather update for Friday. We are in a cold outbreak. We can tell by just how widespread these damaging wind gusts are anywhere in yellow that is there. Also, this cold speckled cloud that is over the bite that is starting to move through. We are certainly feeling it. That shows us the air has come straight up from Antarctica and we're feeling it in the bitter cold air that's coming through.
00:24So all of this here is moving eastwards. Friday is the biggest impact we're going to see here. So we're looking at 15 to 25 millimetres, 10 to 15 in through here. You'll notice it moves in and then it decreases as it goes to the other side of the ranges, comes in and decreases as it heads into the north.
00:40But this is our major last burst of this system that is coming through and the very cold air in behind that. That is snow to 900 metres, if not lower, as we move through the course of Friday.
00:52Then that's going to move away as we go into Saturday. Why? High pressure now by the end of Saturday over the bite here. So that means that the wet weather is easing.
01:00Now, we'll keep an eye on where the centre of that high is because it will have an impact on our weather.
01:06There's the end of Saturday. Here we are Sunday, still back here. So we're still slightly on the cool side.
01:11There's another weaker disturbance coming through here. Nothing like it looks nothing like the one that's coming through on Friday.
01:17Very, very weak in comparison. So we just get a little bit of wet weather with that.
01:22So that is Sunday into Monday as that crosses through. No low, no low level snow. High pressure is now in through here.
01:29By Tuesday, the high has jumped back up to the north there. There's another weak disturbance to come through, mainly affecting Tasmania.
01:36We'll just get the top of that as it comes in. So that's Tuesday into Wednesday. Now, finally, the high has moved into here.
01:43So let's go into Thursday. We're in a northerly wind. The next weather system is approaching.
01:48This one has a feed of tropical moisture. Here's the cold front by the end of the day.
01:51And so we might see that on Friday. Now, it doesn't look at this stage to be a huge weather system, but it is a full week away.
01:58So we'll see how that one actually develops. In terms of totals, most of this is today.
02:02We've got the leftovers as we're going to Saturday, and then there are lighter falls as we move through next week.
02:08For Adelaide, what does that mean? That means some very chilly conditions as they are coming through.
02:12The wind chill is the main factor here, just how cold this air feels if you're right in those wind gusts.
02:19So today, the risk of thunderstorms continue. We've got lots and lots of showers passing through.
02:24As we're going into Saturday, temperatures start to rise a little bit, but we don't get the real warm-up until the end of next week.
02:30We need those winds to go nausally, and there they are, on Thursday and into Friday.
02:34So that's our next chance of warmer weather there before the next wet weather comes in.
02:38Today is the main big falls, but then 3 and 2, 0.2 and 3 millimetres, so not huge falls from the next ones as they come in.
