00:00Hello and welcome to this New South Wales Janesweather update for Friday.
00:04The remains of our cloud and rain band is pretty much disappearing.
00:08We've got lots of sunshine out there.
00:10Today we're going to see showers and thunderstorms develop in that northeast corner,
00:13otherwise it's fairly dry.
00:15In the southeast we do have severe weather warnings for damaging winds
00:19as cold fronts move across the Bight.
00:21Have a look at that speckled cloud and just how cold the air is there.
00:25We're going to feel just a hint of that as we move into next week.
00:28Taz Mahir is going to cop the absolute brunt of that one.
00:32So let's have a look day by day what to expect.
00:34Here we have Friday the 10th of the 10th.
00:36It's just that northeast corner that has showers and thunderstorms mainly during the afternoon,
00:40otherwise we are clear.
00:42Having a look as we move into Saturday, the cold air is starting to cross the southeast.
00:46We still have activity in that northeast corner.
00:48Moving into Sunday, here we have our next weather system.
00:51It brewed over the interior.
00:53It's coming down.
00:53A lot of cloud with this and it is areas of widespread rain.
00:57You'll notice it's for the central and northern parts of New South Wales
01:01and north from there, not further south.
01:03There is a gap in between here which is over southern parts of New South Wales
01:07as our cold air which delivers the energy to make this happen.
01:11So this is helping with this but we're in a gap in the middle here
01:14so we don't get the actual wet weather from both of these two interacting together.
01:18This band of rain comes through.
01:20It'll reach the coast later.
01:21It's coming in from the west.
01:22So that's where the heavier falls are and it just spills over into the east.
01:26So there's Sunday.
01:27Now let's have a look at Monday.
01:29Still moving through that northeast corner.
01:31Next high pressure system is on its way in and here is that cold air that is coming up.
01:36So the horseshoe that goes like this, there's our surge of cooler air.
01:39We'll feel it.
01:40It won't be what you get in the southeast but we'll suddenly feel the change in the air.
01:45That's Monday.
01:46Let's now have a look at Tuesday.
01:47High pressure is over the top.
01:48Things are looking very stable, very quiet.
01:51And that's how we go through pretty much the rest of the week until you get to the end of it.
01:55Here we have at the end of Thursday, there's our next change.
01:58As warmth seeps into the western parts in through here, we're going to get a real warm up in the west,
02:04west and central parts.
02:06And this change coming through, they're coming in for next Friday,
02:09which may kick off our next round of showers and thunderstorms.
02:12So what might that add up to?
02:14We've got our band of rain coming in.
02:16There's nothing overly significant.
02:17So nothing huge out of this one here.
02:20We're more around the 10 to 25 sort of mark there.
02:23In terms of the east coast missing out in through here, it's on the dry side of the ranges.
02:27But we have our showers and thunderstorms that is in that northeast corner.
02:31So what can we expect in Sydney?
02:32Sunshine, 29.
02:33So we're in the high 20s, sunshine for the next couple of days.
02:36Cloud builds as we move through the day on Sunday.
02:39But we're still warm and then we get our burst of, a little burst of wet weather.
02:42Remember, most of that is west of the ranges and we just get the drinks, the leftovers as it moves across and moves through the east there.
02:49So that's late on Sunday and it clears out by Monday morning.
02:53But temperatures are definitely down.
02:55So we're up in the high 20s and then we're in that low 20s to start the week.
02:59That will very slowly recover.
03:00We've got that high pressure system just sitting in there.
03:03It's very stable.
03:04We'll get an easterly airflow so it won't go overly warm, not like it will over in the western parts of the state.
03:10And then the next change may arrive next Friday.
03:13As always, head to Farm Online Weather for the latest.
