02:46A message from the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service.
03:04Good evening, Trinidad and Tobago, and to our international audience.
03:08This is Beyond the Tape. I'm your host, Whitney Husbands.
03:11Now, today is Tuesday, so that means we welcome back my very special and favorite TTPS officer.
03:19For many of us, we have ASP, Owe Russell, back with us this evening, each and every Tuesday, Thursday, and
03:28Friday.
03:28Good evening to you, Sue. You were missed. I hope your weekend was fine.
03:33Ms. Husbands, thanks for making me blush so early in the program.
03:41Good evening, Trinidad and Tobago, on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, Deputy Commissioners, Assistant Commissioners,
03:48and First and Second Division Officers of the Trinidad and Tobago STU Police Service.
03:53Right. I am sorry for the days that I missed last week, but of course, Thursday was a holiday.
03:58I trust that Trinidad and Tobago had a safe holiday.
04:03Friday, I accompanied the commissioner and the executive to the Tobago Division where we launched the active, the Tobago's leg
04:12of the active directive patrol.
04:14Yes.
04:15You know, with the new vehicles and the facial recognition on the cameras and stuff like that.
04:20So, you know, I was not playing and I didn't forsake the viewership for no good reason.
04:27It was really, really something that I had to attend to and, you know, give that support and I actually
04:34chaired the ceremony.
04:37So, that's, you know, just trying to make Trinidad and Tobago a safer place.
04:40Yes, I don't think that when we don't see you here that you are just doing other things other than
04:45what you do best.
04:45So, we know that you hold other positions and you're always able to be here with us, but sometimes when
04:51you're not, we know that you're doing other good things.
04:54To make Trinidad and Tobago a safer place.
04:56I just stressed about it.
04:57You're stressing on it.
04:58Now, let's dive into what took place over the weekend going where we lost another life ASP and a life
05:05that is very young, precious.
05:07Young persons, once again, being exposed to these evil elements.
05:12And where are we now with this matter that you could give us an update?
05:16Well, I know we are indeed conducting an investigation.
05:22From what I understand, there was someone in custody.
05:25Yes.
05:25I believe that person is still in custody with respect to this matter.
05:30It is saddening.
05:32It is really saddening.
05:33It is hurtful as well.
05:35And I think we have lost too, I think, we have lost too many young children.
05:41Yes.
05:42From the incident in the Mova district to the Angelo incident.
05:46Now, Mercedes.
05:48Mercedes, correct.
05:48You know, and we want to make a call to parents and guardians to, I don't want to say you're
05:58not doing your part, but to increase your efforts, you know.
06:02Improvements.
06:02We could all make room for improvements.
06:05And it may mean, maybe just now we have to give our, put an air tag on our children's back.
06:12Which persons continue to do.
06:14So we could see where they are.
06:15Because we do it for our suitcases.
06:16He says, yes, yeah.
06:17People do it.
06:17You know, so we probably need a different way to start tracking our children, especially at such a tender age,
06:25maybe.
06:26And this is a negative part of it as well.
06:28Maybe we're really living around some monsters.
06:30We are living among monsters, yes, but apart from that, I think I even mentioned it with Captain yesterday.
06:36We have a culture of, from a very young age, that we place our children in a position of traveling
06:42from a very early stage in their lives.
06:44And everyone's circumstances will be different.
06:48So I'm not here to judge.
06:49I'm not able to judge anyone.
06:50I'm not in Cluson's homes.
06:52But we have to find a way that when it comes to transporting our children, we don't put them in
06:59harm's way.
07:00And then add insult to injury here as well.
07:03It's where we're seeing the eldest of the siblings who may not be that old enough to make sure and
07:11protect their younger siblings.
07:13Because we see at 10 years old, the eldest could be 10.
07:16The eldest could be 10, yeah.
07:16And the youngest goes down to four.
07:19Yeah.
07:19My nephew traveled home for the first time recently from school.
07:25And it was, I could not have waited to call his grandmother that.
07:28Is he home?
07:29Yeah, he made it home.
07:30She was actually sitting waiting on him in the gallery.
07:34But I'm saying Trinidad and Tobago, let us hold on to our children a little longer.
07:40Yeah.
07:41You know, let us make sure that when they are out there that they do understand.
07:44You would have trained them.
07:46You would have taught them well.
07:47You would have shared experiences.
07:49So when they go out there, notwithstanding, because I mean there are children who travel them at 15 and 16.
07:54Yes, of course.
07:55Which is not really an adult age.
07:56But they would know how to comport, how to handle themselves, how to be observant, what to look for.
08:01Who to travel with.
08:02Red flags, et cetera.
08:04So, let us do a little more.
08:07But the crazy thing is that part of life is traveling.
08:10Yeah.
08:11Meaning not going on an aircraft and going to another country, you know.
08:13These are life skills that we should all have.
08:17Yeah.
08:17Because many persons now, I mean, the times that we're living in, the majority of persons own a car.
08:23Or you must know someone who is close to you that may own a car.
08:26And then you're hearing where persons never traveled in their life in Trinidad and Tobago, never took a taxi,
08:32don't know where certain stands are located to take you, where in case of an emergency.
08:36Yeah.
08:36But that's life skills.
08:37And I hear you with the life skills, Ms. Husbands, but we all come from different backgrounds.
08:42Of course.
08:43I remember I had schoolmates who used to drive to school.
08:47Yes.
08:47Like they had their own cars, you know.
08:50From the time they hit, what, 17 and they were able to drive, they were blessed with a car.
08:54So I started, I owned my first car pretty young as well in my very early 20s, like about 21.
09:00So I understand what you're saying.
09:03But when we look at how things are going now, that extra care, that extra level of due diligence could
09:10only serve us in a good way.
09:13So not that I'm saying hold on to them forever, but, you know, accompany them and partner them until you
09:20are satisfied that they, your children, your loved ones,
09:24they are comfortable and you are satisfied that they can now be left.
09:29You know, because if you're learning to swim, the tutor does not allow you to swim on your own unless
09:35that tutor is sure that you have attained the skills of swimming.
09:39You know, and as we, on this topic, we just want to start echoing some sentiments with respect to the
09:47young teens.
09:48There was an event coming up soon in the Sister Isle.
09:52Communicate with your children.
09:53Let them know what is expected of them.
09:55You know, let us start making the calls from today.
09:59Just communicate with your children.
10:01And speak to them about the dangers of drugs, sex, unprotected sex, drugs, marijuana, the mollies, the synthetic drugs, etc.
10:10Let them know.
10:11Alcohol intake.
10:12And I'm saying the alcohol intake.
10:14It's okay for you to accompany them as well.
10:16And wait on them outside the venue because I understand the peer pressure.
10:19Mommy, daddy, my friends, go in.
10:21It's okay for you to accompany them as well.
10:23They go under your conditions or they don't go at all.
10:25You in charge of home.
10:26Correct.
10:27You know, so.
10:29Now, I just want to give a quick update when it comes to what took place with Mackenzie, 12-year
10:35-old young Mackenzie and the autopsy.
10:37And this is coming from the Trinidad Express.
10:39Now, the father of murdered 12-year-old Mackenzie Lane broke down in tears yesterday after learning the result of
10:45an autopsy which confirmed that his daughter died from blunt force trauma to the head.
10:49Now, Ronald Cabrero speaking to reporters at his home in Arian said no punishment could ever undo the pain his
10:58family was experiencing.
11:00He called on the authorities to resume hangings, especially for criminals who kill innocent children.
11:06The autopsy was conducted on the body of the Arian Primary School student at the Forensic Science Center at Federation
11:15Park.
11:17You know, I don't know if anybody said it, but condolences to the family on behalf of the Trinidad and
11:23Tobago Police Service.
11:25It just goes to show, I mean, what could a 12-year-old do to you that you would hit
11:32them like that in their heads?
11:35I mean, sometimes I stand here at Trinidad and Tobago and I am lost for words.
11:41I know more could always be done, but we have to look at the we responsibility.
11:48Not the TTP as the responsibility alone, but our, us, we, the our responsibility in it.
11:55Because somebody must have seen something, something weird, something strange.
12:01And yes, people might say we call the police and they didn't respond immediately.
12:06In a timely fashion.
12:07But our resources are nothing finite as well.
12:10We have limited resources and for the past few years we have been asked to do this familiar phrase,
12:16do more with less.
12:17You know the phrase?
12:18Yes.
12:18Right.
12:19So we are trying to do more with less as well.
12:22So it's a challenge for us, but we still want the partnership.
12:26We know that we come to make excuses, but we know we are not omnipresent
12:30and we cannot be everywhere at the same time.
12:33And this is why we continuously call on the public to help and to assist and stuff like that.
12:39By us working together, we could eliminate a lot of those things.
12:44Now speaking of eliminating a lot of those things, I see the TTPS continues to work hard
12:49and sometimes I believe some persons think that women don't commit crime, right?
12:52Okay.
12:53Just like they say women don't lie.
12:56Women don't.
12:56But I ain't.
12:57Okay.
12:57All right.
12:58So on the 22 September 2022, officers of the Tobago Divisional Task Force conducted an operation
13:05during which Nicole Jordan and Marissa finally were arrested.
13:09Both women were jointly charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking
13:14and they were also separately charged with the same offense.
13:18So they are now going to be before the court and you know what happens next.
13:23We have to wait to see what happens if they will be convicted or not.
13:28Yeah.
13:29Well, of course, before the court, case files have to be prepared.
13:33There's a process before the masters and you do your file, you submit, you do your submissions.
13:39Then you have, you know, there's a different, under your GPI, there's a different process now
13:43that we're using to make sure you have a case management that you have to do.
13:47You have to do your disclosure.
13:48So there's a process.
13:50Yes.
13:51But, you know, once the officers did what they were supposed to do, we should,
13:55there's a chance, a great chance that we would have a successful persecution or conviction in these matters.
14:02All right.
14:02So as we move around, this is the opportunity where we're going to see the increases
14:07or if not with the SOE update for this evening as of June 9th, 2026.
14:14Number of operations, 7,174.
14:18Number of targets prior to offenders, 2,065.
14:22Searches conducted, 3,125.
14:26Traffic operations, 4,277.
14:29Total prisons arrested, 3,211.
14:32Total prisons charged, 698.
14:38Firearms recovered, we're seeing an increase with the pistols and giving us a total of 184.
14:43Ammunition recovered, we're seeing an increase with the 9mm, also the 5.56 at a total of 3,525.
14:51And dangerous drugs seized, we are seeing an increase with cannabis and cocaine.
14:56Yes, babe.
14:58Firearms, ammunition and drugs, eh?
15:00Firearms, ammunition and drugs.
15:02I mean, we will continue to do what we have to do as a child in Tobago police service.
15:06We will not give up on the public.
15:08Because we understand.
15:09Because do not think for a moment that we don't have children who are exposed to these things as well,
15:14eh?
15:15So, you know, it's not a matter of, it ain't happening to me.
15:18So, mm-mm.
15:19Everybody know a relative, a friend.
15:21Yes, of course.
15:21Or somebody who was affected by these, by dangerous drugs, by illegal firemen and ammunition.
15:28And I mean, there is no way you can go and turn a blind eye.
15:32But you know everybody and the way things have been for the past few years.
15:35And we didn't get here overnight.
15:36There's, I believe most of the public know somebody who would have died by circumstances due to violence or something
15:44like that.
15:45Or drug abuse.
15:45Or drug abuse.
15:46So, as I said, it's a community problem.
15:48It's a national problem that we must come together as one nation to fix.
15:53Can I ask you this quickly?
15:54Sure.
15:55If it wasn't for the SOE, would we see the type of drugs and ammunition, firearms that you all are
16:01recovering here?
16:02Or is it because we are highlighting it and so it seems like you all are getting the opportunity to
16:07get these things at such a rapid time?
16:11So, what the SOE has given us a certain advantage with respect to the ability to act quickly on particular
16:23information.
16:25So, like for instance, somebody give us information, X have an illegal firearm at their homes.
16:32We would have to obtain a warrant to search X home.
16:35But no wonder the SOE, once we have the information, we could come and search without a warrant.
16:40That's one of the very critical and vital tool because it really eliminates the time for the perpetrator to hide
16:48or dispose of or move their illegal items.
16:51So, that's one of the major benefits of the SOE as a crime-fighting tool.
16:57Do we have other crime plans?
16:58Of course, we will always have crime plans when the SOE is completed because we don't expect that we will
17:05continuously live in an SOE for the next three to four years or whatnot, right?
17:10So, but, and that's why you tend to find we have the launch of the active directive patrol.
17:14You know, we have things coming on stream.
17:17You'll see that there's a call to boost the police service by 2,000 officers across varying ranks.
17:23You would see the intake of special reserves as well as the absorption of special reserves,
17:32which there are many special reserves who are going through the process so that we could boost the strength of
17:37each other and Tobago police service as well.
17:39So, you know, but however, of course, the whole economy of the country would also impact on how fast we
17:44get the resources,
17:45how fast we get the tools, the type of tools we get, and stuff like that.
17:49And then we have to abide and operate within the confines of the legislation as it terms the procurement.
17:54So, we can't just go out and buy any and everything just so we must go through.
17:59So, we need to get 15 vehicles.
18:01You have to do your tendering.
18:02You have to do your advertisement.
18:03You have to do the interest, you know, request for interest of persons who are willing to supply 10 vehicles.
18:09Then we go through the price and everything.
18:11Then I think you must have three different suppliers and, you know, so there is the data process.
18:16All right, I just wanted to know.
18:17Right now, let's take a look at what's making today's headlines.
18:47And those are your stories making today's headlines.
18:49You want me to give us a call at 623-1711 extension 1996 and 1997.

20:16As your commissioner of police, I am prepared to do my part.
20:20Are you prepared to do your part?
20:22Get on board.
20:23Are you on board?
20:24I am Bishop Ezekiel Clark, President of the Coover Police Station Community Council.
20:30And I am proud to say that I am on board with the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service
20:36in their fight against crime in Trinidad and Tobago.
20:39I am Panis Dean Galston.
20:41And I am Panis Johan Jockery.
20:43And crime prevention is everybody's business.
20:48Hi, I am Sajuna Kadir, Attorney at Law and Team Lead for the Attorneys for the TTPS Community Justice Clinic.
20:55We support the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service in the fight against crime.
20:59Crime prevention is everybody's business.
21:02I am Shirazkan.
21:03I am a farmer.
21:05I support the TTPS in the fight against crime.
21:08My name is Maldif Maraj, President of Bishop Warner's Chamber of Industry and Commerce.
21:13Crime fighting is everybody's business.
21:15We are all on board.
21:33And we are back, ASP Russell.
21:35I understand we have a birthday greeting.
21:38Yes, Miss Archie's mother, Miss Rita Archie Boorin.
21:42Mm-hmm.
21:44She celebrated 92 years yesterday.
21:48I wish you a happy belated birthday.
21:52I trust that you had a wonderful time in the presence of family, friends, and loved ones.
21:58And that God bless you to see many, many, many, many more.
22:02Well, I want to lift 120 Moses' age here.
22:06I don't know if Miss Boorin wants to go that long.
22:11But I am hoping she gives me hope and, you know, faith that I can lift 120 Moses' age.
22:20Wow.
22:21Before I'm gathered to my people.
22:23I will receive that.
22:24So that means how much are you giving me service?
22:27Well, you service is this.
22:30Yeah, it is.
22:31120.
22:31I have some time on here.
22:32Mr. Osborne.
22:34I don't know if you understand what it takes to be a police officer at any rank in China to
22:38do the police service.
22:39Let me tell you, and ever since I've started doing this program, I don't know who is out there giving
22:45out my numbers.
22:47Personal explanation.
22:48But a lot of persons call me on a lot of different things.
22:53And so many persons out there want help, and I'm happy that I can assist.
22:58Sometimes I, too, am overwhelmed.
22:59But when I hear the cries of others, you know, I don't ever, like, for instance, the people who continue
23:08to complain about the situation in San Fernando with the Open Bible Church.
23:12I, when I saw the program on Friday and I heard the continuous complaint, I again called the SDYC in
23:18charge.
23:19And I had a three-way conversation.
23:21The inspector, the sergeant, and myself of the San Fernando police station, they, too, had visited the church on the
23:26previous occasion.
23:27I had a conversation with them.
23:28But I understand that there was some construction taking place, some modifications taking place at the church that should bring
23:35these matters to an end soon.
23:38And, you know, a lot of persons keep speaking about the noise pollution.
23:43And I know the powers that we have under Section 70, but it requires, again, community.
23:48Three persons must come together.
23:51Three?
23:52Okay.
23:52As I said, the DTPS has authority to address public nuisance under Section 70 of the Summer References Act.
24:00However, to lay the charge, the law requires a complaint to some at least three separate persons.
24:06At least two?
24:07Other than that, an individual may have to go privately.
24:10I have seen in situations where, when I used to work in St. James, of course there's a lot of
24:14bars in St. James as well.
24:16And to tell you how sometimes everything is just not in our power.
24:20Residents complain about the bars.
24:22They give reports.
24:23They give statements.
24:24And the matter was taken to court.
24:27And an objection was made to the renewal of the bar and dance or license for that particular bar.
24:34And the sitting committee gave the police and the residents instruction to go back and raise me the bar.
24:41We have a caller on the line.
24:43Let's take that call.
24:44Caller, good evening.
24:45Hello.
24:46Good evening, Miss.
24:47What about?
24:47Good evening to your caller.
24:49Good evening.
24:49Good evening.
24:50I'm Mr. Aoi.
24:51Good evening, caller.
24:52Hi.
24:52I already heard we call last week about a secret on theft street.
24:58What's up talking to you?
24:59Mr. Aoi.
25:00You get a thing, you get a thing out Superman.
25:04I see like the one day in the Twitter manager.
25:07We sit in outer space, Mr. Aoi.
25:08You know, I could not be only next more than a car.
25:12You know it.
25:12Disappear?
25:15I hear.
25:16You find a place?
25:17You go far inside place.
25:19and then put that class somewhere.
25:21I don't know if it's bad, sorry,
25:22I said, I can't believe it.
25:25I can't believe it.
25:25If somebody is doing something,
25:27take it out of the paper.
25:29Thank you so very much, sir.
25:30I don't know what was that,
25:32but it was the show.
25:34You're welcome, sir.
25:35It was the show.
25:35How effective.
25:36Yes, sir.
25:37Yes.
25:39Oh, he's gone?
25:40All right.
25:41I don't know what happened there,
25:43but he sounded so happy.
25:46This is why I do it.
25:47The results.
25:47This is why I do it, Ms. Osborne.
25:50This is why.
25:52You know, persons, they would call
25:53and they would leave their numbers,
25:55and they're surprised that I call them.
25:56Yeah.
25:57Yeah, they're surprised.
25:58So I guess you need to have a training session
26:02for certain sectors in different divisions
26:04when it comes to that.
26:05Because, I mean, this is a firm
26:07where we give information
26:09with regards to the TTPS,
26:12but people are now using this platform
26:15to seek what is causing some issues
26:19in their communities,
26:21and you are suspended.
26:22I'll have to get an office
26:22and put it somewhere.
26:24Yeah.
26:24We have another caller.
26:25Caller, good evening.
26:28Hello?
26:30Hello, good evening.
26:31Good evening.
26:32Good evening, caller.
26:32Good evening, caller.
27:02What are they going to order
27:04and other to say
27:05if I do like to officer
27:06to give the liberator's driver
27:09to the web creation duty?
27:12Caller, could you hear us?
27:15Yeah?
27:16Could you leave your information
27:17with the producer, please?
27:21Yeah?
27:22I'll be looking.
27:23I'll look into it for him.
27:25Are we still having that problem?
27:26No, not to my knowing.
27:28not to my knowing what happens right with CFCs and sometimes you need it
27:37urgently you need to see that as well at a station they wouldn't carry down one
27:44CFC so let's see Monday morning 8 o'clock they had like a hundred so they
27:50carried on that hundred okay but they carried in batches and I guess this may
27:54contribute daily as well and it may take three weeks to accumulate 50 it means
28:03your thing may be sitting there for three weeks to accumulate 50 because as I said
28:08going batches probably 50 to 100 because we wait till it pile up we wouldn't carry
28:12it is not efficient for us to carry one one but if you stay that you need it
28:18expedited yeah quickly we would do our best to assist so call out I would call
28:24you once you leave your number and I would look into it for you tomorrow
28:27what's better if I'll call you sometime during the morning all right we have
28:31another call a call a good evening but that should really no hello good evening
28:40good evening sir sir sir yes sir always start with that yeah that means you're coming to attack me but
28:53that is ok bring it
29:00no
29:01i don't you talk to me
29:03i have said
29:06i don't know
29:09One has done like another representative who explained what is called to constitute the charge of my children.
29:25I think if you have explained that to the public, you will have had less protection in the past.
29:33I have told you, for the image that might explain, as if you are holding somebody at a hostage,
29:43and the police try to shoot the hostage holder and kill the hostage,
29:52the hostage holder can also share from one's blotter.
29:57I am not sure if your left key set has a ticket to court.
30:05I think you all have done that without having less protection for past two weeks.
30:11I want to see you all.
30:12Thank you, Kola. ASP?
30:14Kola, I did touch on it on air at some point in time, because I remember we did some research
30:20on it,
30:21and I actually called the case. I still have it on my phone here as well.
30:25And you are quite right, because of the actions of that person,
30:28it placed that other person in a dangerous position that resulted in them getting their death.
30:33Yes.
30:34However, notwithstanding, had we explained that to the public, and maybe it may or may not have,
30:40but this is a situation that a person's emotions were high and are still high.
30:48Because it's not just, a lot of persons only focus on what was deduced into their mind by the viewing
30:58of the video.
31:00And I think, even though we had explained it ad nauseam, persons would have still had their own opinion.
31:08But I hear you, and I do understand exactly what you are saying.
31:12And I think a situation like that, maybe it needed to come from probably, not in TTPS,
31:18because it would look like, you know, we are trying to justify what happened as we say, let it play
31:23out in the courts of law.
31:25But maybe some, you know, somebody who is learned and qualified to do so, and, you know, would appear as
31:35having not picked a side.
31:37Yeah? So, I better understand what you're saying.
31:40All right. Let's take that break. We'll be back.

33:04Take a time out at Cruise In Hotel and Yachting Center.
33:14See you later.
33:52A message from the Trinidad and Tobago police service
34:09And welcome back now ASP Russell. Scammers are out. They are scamming many persons still. Persons are getting caught in
34:18the web. Scammers have been out a very long time.
34:24You know, it's just that, you know, now we are seeing more of it due to a lot of different
34:30social media platforms that we are using now to highlight and advertise things for sale, the Instagram, the Facebook marketplace,
34:37etc.
34:38So Trinidad and Tobago, you know, the police service always trying to give you the information so that you can
34:42protect yourself as well.
34:44So scam alert. Scammers are once again targeting the public with fraudulent video messages circulating on social media.
34:52These videos falsely use the image and likeness of high-profile individuals to promote fake investment opportunities.
35:03Don't be fooled. These endorsements are not real.
35:08Before investing your hard-earned money, take a moment to protect yourself by doing the following.
35:16Listen carefully.
35:18Verify if the company is registered with the Trinidad and Tobago Companies Registry for its stated business activities.
35:28Two, check with the Trinidad and Tobago Securities and Exchange Commission to confirm the legitimacy of that company.
35:37Visit the official pages of the individuals featured to see if they have shared any genuine information about the offer.
35:49Contact the TTPS via direct message or email at customer.service at ttps.gov.tt.
36:01I'll say again, customer.service at ttps.gov.tt for verification.
36:11Think carefully before you do the following.
36:15One, share personal information.
36:18Enter your banking or credit details.
36:22Agree to any investment opportunity online.
36:25Remember, if it feels suspicious, it probably is.
36:30If you have been scammed by, if you have been scammed, please make a report to your nearest police station.
36:40ASP, we are back here once again where we are seeing where individuals are still being caught.
36:45I mean, a sweet deal is a sweet deal, you know, but it can't be too sweet.
36:50You ever eat something that is too sweet?
36:51Is it your throat?
36:53What's my children?
36:54No, Mrs. Wands.
36:54That is too sweet?
36:55No.
36:56Okay, we have another call.
36:57Caller, good evening.
36:59Yes, good evening, Mr. King.
37:01Thank you for sending my calls.
37:03Good evening, sir.
37:04You are so on, Mr. Spence.
37:06Good evening, too.
37:07I am coaching this program with a very heavy heart.
37:11I want to firstly congratulate the police on the good work they do.
37:15In a very, how do I say, a very, very complicated attack.
37:21And I want to congratulate yours for your good work.
37:24Thank you, sir.
37:25But I am very, very, very distilled with the amount of killing of little children in this country.
37:33I am living as a father, a grandfather, a uncle.
37:36And every time I listen to the news at the end about these issues of, you know, criminal activity.
37:45I was in Tobago just last week.
37:46And I drove to the area called Goodwood, just to see the area where that's a horrendous act of prisoner,
37:55two-year-old.
37:57So, you know how emotional I was.
37:59I was in Tobago with a pastor celebrating 47 years of service and things with the group.
38:05And we went to the area where that's a serious thing that it's very difficult when a country, right,
38:15it means the young, it means the elderly, I mean the children, it's not safe.
38:21And I have a serious problem with that.
38:23I know that organizations like UNESCO and UNICEF and those things who punch children in all over the world,
38:31they will be having some concerns, and I think the authorities must look in and do more to protect us
38:39in this country.
38:40Thank you very much.
38:41Thank you so much.
38:42Thank you so much, caller.
38:44Now, SP, and I hear the caller, and I totally agree, and we have reached a stage where it's selective
38:51outcry.
38:52Where's the outcry that we, you know, persons will see happening, persons taking the streets in a SOE?
38:59A 12-year-old's life has been taken.
39:02Now, I don't know if you also recalled in 2025, this was I think in September, another young lady's life
39:08was taken as well with a heinous act.
39:13Yeah, I remember that.
39:14Right?
39:15Andrea Barrett is another one.
39:17This is disturbing, and it's getting younger almost everywhere.
39:22Where's the outcry from the public that we have been seeing?
39:25We saw attempted peace work.
39:27We saw persons who were standing up for what they believe is right, yes, but our children, we can't stand
39:32up for.
39:34Ms. Husbands, and I like how you say that, you know.
39:40But Trinidad and Tobago need to start reporting the son, the brother, the sister, the niece, and the nephew,
39:50who we all know involved, and not doing nothing about it.
39:54I will say again, Trinidad and Tobago need to start reporting their sons, their daughters, their brothers, their sisters, their
40:04nieces, their nephews,
40:05their cousins, their friends, and their neighbors who are involved in these things, and you're doing nothing about it.
40:13Because they live in the community, but they go outside to commit the crime, Ms. Husbands, a lot of them
40:17don't care.
40:19But they know.
40:21Everybody wants change.
40:22But it's the TTPS job.
40:24But change starts with us.
40:28Everybody wants the change, you know.
40:29TTPS, what are we doing?
40:33Everybody wants to know what TTPS is doing.
40:35We out here, we're trying.
40:36And we're trying harder and harder and harder every day.
40:39And when we try and we fail, they condemn me, they cuss me, they cuss the commissioner, they cuss the
40:44executive, they cuss me and all, Ms. Husbands.
40:47And you remember they spoke about your family, they came for your family too.
40:50But they're cussing the son.
40:53Who go in order and rob and bring him money home, and you know he ain't working no way.
40:56They're not cussing the nephew, or the niece, or the brother.
41:01She a cussing she man, who paying for the hairdo, and he ain't working no way.
41:05Or he runnin' the block.
41:08But everybody want change when it affects them.
41:12So when we'll get the change?
41:14When will we come together as a collective, Trinidad and Tobago?
41:19Because I just hear it.
41:22Or place it on the TTPS.
41:24We can continue to try.
41:25We'll take that break.
41:26We'll be back.
41:41New Maybelline Serum Lipstick.
41:43Maybe it's not just lipstick.
41:45It's serum-infused, lush color with a hyaluronic acid and oil blend.
41:49For eight-hour plumping moisture, New Maybelline Serum Lipstick.
41:53Maybe it's Maybelline.
41:55Nature's Way's Alive Kids Gummies are multivitamin gummies meant to support the development of children's bodies like their bones, muscles,

42:32The TV6 News.
42:34Revealing facts.
42:35Provoking opinions.
43:09The TV6 News.
43:16A message from the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service.
43:33And we are back now.
43:34We have an update with the missing persons that we had with Captain Rambarat.
43:37And we are happy to say that he was found, Javon George.
43:40He has been found, officially sent from Captain Rambarat.
43:44And we are happy to hear that.
43:45And, of course, he will be able to reunite with his family.
43:49All right, so we head back to the phone lines.
43:51Remember, you can give us a call at 623-1711, extension 1996 and 1997.
43:58Caller, good evening.
44:00Hi, good evening.
44:01Good evening to you, Sue.
44:02Good evening, Caller.
44:04I was listening to another program this morning.
44:10And the court encouraged someone to be called.
44:16Encouraged someone who was calling.
44:19And when we called it for the commissioners to be to resign,
44:24the commissioners who should resign,
44:25and especially the commissioners who leave.
44:28And the court just legal on demand to continue to stay
44:36and break back a formal, a formal, formal.
44:40And I don't know how disappointed in the court
44:43that how we let go on this guy and continue to court it.
44:46The commissioners are going to resign to fight.
44:49But I want people to know that the commissioners
44:52have a lot of people backing it.
44:53The commissioners are doing an excellent job.
44:56And I give them a hundred of things.
44:59Commissioners, you continue doing your job.
45:01And don't let these destructors, destructing for what we do.
45:04I know there are strong ones.
45:06I know where you came from.
45:07So, God be with you, Mr. Commissioner.
45:10We support you.
45:12Thank you so much, Caller.
45:14I also support my commission as well.
45:16I could say I support the commission of Trinidad and Tobago.
45:19The reason being is that it's a hard space to be in.
45:23A rock and a hard place.
45:25It's more than a hard place to be in.
45:31Because it is always that it's easy to point fingers.
45:35And regardless of how much you try,
45:37you could actually show blood and tears.
45:39It may not be enough.
45:41But from me outside looking in and observing
45:44and seeing that he is trying his best to connect with persons also.
45:49He's visible.
45:50He's really, really visible.
45:51Yeah, yeah, he's visible.
45:52And also hearing the concerns, he's not disconnected.
45:54And as you said, using the resources that are available
45:57to make sure that the citizens are also safe
46:01and the members of the TTPS are safe.
46:03Because if we all are not safe, we are unable to,
46:06in case of an emergency or anything may happen to us,
46:08who will we call in Ghostbusters?
46:13That seat that the commissioner,
46:16especially me being in this position,
46:18because I am closer to him now and the executive.
46:22It's not easy.
46:23I really don't think I, I mean, I applaud, I applaud them.
46:28It's like they have no holidays, no day-offs,
46:31they have everything, they have protests,
46:33they have no march, they have no celebration.
46:34They have no celebration.
46:36I don't know how they do it.
46:37I do not envy them, neither do I jealous them.
46:40But I continue to lift them up in prayer.
46:43Yeah.
46:44And dealing with the emotions of a country
46:46that is very hostile right now.
46:48We have another caller.
46:49Caller, good evening.
46:52Good evening.
46:54Hello.
46:55Good evening, Caller.
46:56Good evening.
46:57Good evening.
46:58Good evening, Mom.
46:59Good evening, Mom.
46:59Good evening, Mom.
47:03Yes, please.
47:04Yes, please.
47:05Yes.
47:07I just want to give you another story.
47:09One, I see that's the grocery.
47:13And you're watching.
47:14And you reach us to my presidential post.
47:18I'm going to go down the car.
47:20You guys had us up.
47:22Yes, my brother.
47:24Something pointed in about two years
47:26for you when it was a kid that was old.
47:28So, they all started out with all about God's numbers, etc.
47:34And I just dropped a little,
47:36what was the stock numbers?
47:38Because I was in a hurry for them to get rid of them, right?
47:43And when he gets up to his brother's house, everybody said, no, I didn't need to give it any number.
47:48But he didn't get a cent from it.
47:51So, I was going to think that was a bad idea to do that.
47:55So, if he has any good steps that he didn't, you will do it in a hurry.
48:05You got everything that you said?
48:08I got the gist of it.
48:09They were held up.
48:10I hope, Mom, I hope that you made a report and that my officers were nice and courteous
48:16and did all that they could have done, you know, to calm the situation
48:20and to really, you know, commence the investigation in a quick, quick, quick way.
48:28Anyway, I understand what she did.
48:32And it was quick thinking on her part because if you are taking my bank card,
48:38how do you verify that I gave you the right numbers?
48:42So, that's what the caller did.
48:45Okay.
48:45Yeah, that's what she said.
48:46She said, you know what, they took my cards and they asked me for the pin and I give them
48:50anything.
48:51Yeah.
48:52You have another caller, smart, quick on the draw.
48:54Quick on the draw.
48:55Yeah.
48:55Caller, good evening.
48:57Good evening.
48:59Good evening.
49:00Good evening, caller.
49:00Good evening.
49:01Thank you for the commission of police witness.
49:08This evening I am a very familiar at the fact that the union member and David Abdullah were
49:18here to explain Alicia and Aron.
49:23I don't know, I mean considering what it is,
49:28I think you have to remember how it is.
49:33And at the same time, I don't know I'm going to wait
49:37to interview Mr. Dehara Sula in the morning,
49:41because I don't know whether he is a client
49:44can't say anything about it.
49:45He just drives to Dehara Sula.
49:48What we want you to know about the city is
49:54disappointing.
49:55So I'm giving you Mr. Dehara Sula, Dehara Sula,
49:58Dehara Sula, Dehara Sula,
50:02so that it can be present.
50:05Thank you so much, Kola.
50:10Kola, thank you and I appreciate your observation.
50:15All right, we will leave that right there.
50:18We will leave it right there.
50:20All right, we have back to the phone lines.
50:22We have another caller on the line.
50:24All right, and remember you all could give us a call
50:26at 623-1711 extension 1996 and 1997.
50:32We ask you when you call as well, please mute your television set
50:36or if you are using your mobile device, please don't use your
50:40speaker feature.
50:42Just use it normal.
50:44All right, we are back to the phone line.
50:48Kola, good evening.
50:51Good evening, Kola.
50:53Yes, good afternoon.
50:54Good evening.
50:55Good evening.
50:56I want to make a comment, you know,
50:58with all these children adopting and killing and so on.
51:04Why is the children's authority so silent?
51:09Nobody is making, nobody from the children's authority coming forward and making a statement.
51:17They are the people who are, you know, champions, you know.
51:21Nobody, nobody, we're not getting no comment from them.
51:25And this is definitely and very sorrowful.
51:32Thank you so much, ma'am ASP.
51:35Mrs. Husbands, that is a question that the children's authority will have to answer.
51:42But she's holding him accountable.
51:44I cannot answer for that, but I know that, you know, this is a social media age
51:52and nothing happens without other persons seeing.
51:55I know when things go live and they are trending, they do trend.
51:59Especially in our little country here, they trend quickly.
52:02Yeah.
52:03So I believe that they're behind the scenes and they may be doing things that we haven't heard of as
52:11yet.
52:11But I somewhat agree with the caller.
52:14We have another caller.
52:15Caller, good evening.
52:17Hello.
52:17Hi, good evening.
52:18Hi, good evening, sir.
52:19Hi, good evening, caller.
52:23Hello?
52:24Yes, your last, sir.
52:25Go ahead.
52:27Yes, sir.
52:29Good evening.
52:30Good evening.
52:30I have a serious, serious problem.
52:33Thank you, sir.
52:34Some DOC is doing so good, a great job, trying to stop this problem with driving.
52:43But there's a show on the other station.
52:46They are punishing you today.
52:48I just saw on my television.
52:50That, you know, Poisha is investigating an actor and he is taking photos of, you know,
52:56like he is the character of the young, in the other station.
53:00And if you are doing too much, I'll leave away.
53:03He is not with Poisha, he wants to be learning for himself.
53:07Hmm.
53:09Is that it, caller?
53:10Yeah.
53:11You know, something that's been done about this guy.
53:13He is told us, you know, he's taking advantage of everything.
53:16Thank you very much.
53:17Thank you so much, sir.
53:18Have a blessed day.
53:20Or evening.
53:21Um, caller, it is indeed a topic of discussion.
53:26Um, a long rope for Maga goat, as the old people say.
53:30But isn't that it is contributing to murky waters for you all when it comes to putting information out?
53:37You know, it contributes, yes, indeed.
53:41Um, but it's something that is being discussed.
53:46Okay.
53:47But when you look at the environment and the climate of the country right now, there's a way to treat
53:52with things.
53:53Um, because again, we are always villainized.
53:56So there, to, to, to that particular, I don't know the gender, but I, I don't know the gender.
54:01I don't know what, who, if, what the caller referring to.
54:05But when you're dealing with persons, there's always some people backing them who may think that, you know,
54:10the TTPS fighting them or the TTPS and want the truth to come out or the government fighting them.
54:16So we have to deal with these things skillfully and within the powers that we have to deal with situations
54:22like this.
54:23All right.
54:23We have another caller.
54:24Caller, good evening.
54:27Good evening, caller.
54:28Your final caller this evening.
54:29You can have a caller for the child who got kicked in the head stage of the noise.
54:42I remember, Mr. Alexander has asked to bring people, some young people, and ask for it.
54:47They'll know why they do what they do.
54:48So you will remind something like that, where the young people can't give a reason for their action or something.
54:55But we don't need a call from that child who, the person who can give child a message and the
55:03family to go back to this time.
55:05Thank you so much for that caller.
55:07We will get that information and that update ASP.
55:10Yeah, I will try my best to see if I can get it and give you all our feedback by
55:16Thursday when I'm here next God's Willing again.
55:20And of course, give us an update with if any of those children were also detained and what action was
55:27taken moving forward after that act and almost seriously injuring or almost taking the life of this young man.
55:36So at least if we can get some sort of update with that, that would be great moving forward.
55:40And if in this case, with that, it will deter a lot of the children out there to see that
55:48the TTPS is stepping in in a way where it is not just a slap on the wrist if they're
55:53caught doing these acts.
55:55But I don't know how much persons are looking at what is taking place in the House of the Parliament
55:59as well.
55:59And I'm hearing conversations of legislation being placed to make parents, guardians, and loved ones accountable for the actions of
56:10their children.
56:10So we are heading in a particular direction.
56:13So I'm asking that persons really take in front now and start having these difficult conversations.
56:19Start doing your part to report your brothers, your sisters, your sons, your boyfriend, your girlfriend, who we know involve
56:28in criminal activity.
56:29We're not having this problem alone.
56:31I saw today in Jamaica that the government told the teachers, do what you have to do.
56:37We will be backing you.
56:39So it is reaching a point where they're saying enough is enough.
56:44ASP, thank you so much for being here with us.
56:46We have less than 10 seconds.
56:48Bless them now.
56:49All right, Mr. Osmond, as usual, it was a pleasure being here at Trinidad and Tobago.
56:53I will be here with you on Thursday, God's willing.
56:55I have no plans for this time here.
56:59Let's continue to love each other.
57:01I hope I know some of the things I said today, they came across passionately.
57:05But really, let them marinate in their mind and make an informed decision.
57:09If we really want to see change in Trinidad and Tobago, change starts with you.
57:13You have the power.
57:14All right, news is up next.
57:15TNT, God bless.
57:16Make yourself our target.
57:17See you tomorrow.
57:18We're out.
57:19We're out.
57:22We're out.
57:24We're out.
57:28We're out.
57:29We're out.
57:30We're out.
57:31We're out.
57:32We're out.
57:33We're out.
