00:03:27Welcome to Beyond the Tape, I am your host Mark Bassan.
00:03:46Welcome to our viewers across Trinidad and Tobago, our global viewers and of course our brothers and sisters in the Isle of Grenada.
00:03:54Well certainly over the weekend, the long weekend that is, we had a number of road fatalities unfortunately as well as a couple of homicides in the Valencia, Belmont and San Juan area.
00:04:08And amidst all this, the talking point of the cartel concert on Saturday night in which of course cartel was a no-show and then other international artists who were part of that show also pulled out citing contractual obligations by the promoter in that particular event.
00:04:31And of course today, we have with us Captain Valence Rambarat of the hunters search and rescue team.
00:04:40Welcome sir, how are you?
00:04:41I am fine, thank you Mark.
00:04:43I had a restful weekend, the first weekend we had off for a long time.
00:04:48And Mark, with respect to the Vibes Cartel concert, I was doing some work at home and I got a call.
00:04:58The caller indicated to me that he is claiming this $1 million reward.
00:05:05So I said, for what sir, we don't have a $1 million reward out.
00:05:10And he said, no for Vibes Cartel, I found him, I found him.
00:05:13So I said, what are you speaking about?
00:05:15He says, your poster is out there.
00:05:17And it's only when I went on social media we were able to see our poster out there with his name, his age, his address as Jamaica and the date he went missing.
00:05:31And I know people would have done it out of fun and frustration that probably the artist wasn't here to perform.
00:05:40But I just want to caution persons about doing such because we've seen a couple of times people use our posters to do pranks and it's not a good thing.
00:05:53So I just want to caution persons about using it.
00:05:56But I did follow the issue and I think it was rather unfortunate but it seems to be someone sticking to a business arrangement.
00:06:08And if the arrangement wasn't concluded, well then the business arrangement is off.
00:06:14And that was, that's my take on what happened over the weekend.
00:06:18Much to the shagging of many of his fans here in Trinidad and Tobago.
00:06:23I actually was, I was alluded to somebody called me on Saturday morning.
00:06:28And after making a few calls I did find out long before the releases that he wasn't coming.
00:06:34Right.
00:06:35And because there were so many other things that were very strange because he did not arrive, there was, he was expected on Thursday and then they said Friday.
00:06:44Right.
00:06:45And my understanding that even a particular hotel, a room was not booked for him at that hotel as well.
00:06:51Okay.
00:06:52So all these factors led up to me asking a couple questions of persons close and around the event and they were saying the same thing.
00:07:00Yeah, because there would be people at the airport who would pull out their cameras once he walks out and people would post it on social media.
00:07:07So there was none of that on Thursday night or Friday night as it is maybe.
00:07:13But as I said, I suspect it was a strict business arrangement and if the agreement wasn't fulfilled, well then there's no council.
00:07:22Yes.
00:07:23Unfortunately, you know, a lot of, luckily a lot of persons who went to that council will now be getting a full refund after a release by the one Caribbean Music Festival sent out a couple of hours ago indicating that everybody will get a full refund.
00:07:36And we are hopeful in the future to see the artists here in Trinidad and Tobago providing all these hiccups and so on are resolved.
00:07:47And I know that the particular promoter has vowed to, you know, smooth over certain things and to obviously.
00:07:55Yeah, get it right for our next time.
00:07:57Yes.
00:07:58So we have to wait and see.
00:07:59And I'm also bringing a conversation. We really had this, you know, this sad event with our entire family losing their lives in a highway crash along with a friend.
00:08:12Yeah.
00:08:13And, you know, and then we had another accident on that same highway not far away from Claxton being gasped on a Friday night.
00:08:19Yeah.
00:08:20Which claimed the life on another gentleman.
00:08:22Well, Mark, I woke up Saturday morning to this news and it's disheartening when you get up first thing in the morning that you're seeing that four persons died in a vehicle accident on the highway.
00:08:34Now, Mark, on my way up, and I'm just making some assumptions because I saw the address of the mother's Lavantel, right?
00:08:43And, you know, there's this little saying that North people don't go too far south or they're not accustomed with San Fernando.
00:08:50And I was just thinking, just let us assume for one moment that it's a North person who really doesn't understand the highway, the southbound highway.
00:09:00Yeah.
00:09:01And they were heading south. When, on my way up to there, I just glanced and all I saw was a reduced speed sign as just before you take that bend under the Claxton Bay flyover.
00:09:13And I was thinking because I'm always proactive in my thoughts trying to see, you know, whether we could, you know, reduce this type of carnage on the roads.
00:09:21And I was saying, you know, what may be effective there is really, you know, the reduced speed followed by a slight curve ahead and some, you know, some good lighting on that area.
00:09:35And to prepare motorists who may be new to the area that, listen, we have a curve coming. On that north, southbound highway, Mark, you have two curves, Claxton Bay and Gasparlo, and they are known for accidents.
00:09:53Well, you said we're going to talk a little more about that during this program a little later, but I know that you have some good news to share with us.
00:10:02So, most of our viewers would know that when we leave here 10 to 7, 5 to 7 on a Monday, we go to the promenade, always utilizing our time wisely.
00:10:13We made several attempts to go look for Marlon Sambury, and then we posted a video of him on the promenade right here on Beyond the Tape.
00:10:23And on Wednesday, a caller called excitedly to say that the gentleman that you posted in that video on Beyond the Tape, I just saw him on Charlotte Street opposite the Portospine General Hospital.
00:10:37And I said, same clues? She said, same clues. And I was able to get on to our member and a relative. Now, thankfully, the relative was in Portospine.
00:10:46And guess where she found him? By the time she got to Portospine, she got him right here by Express House in front of Express Building here.
00:10:54And so I want to really thank the caller. I hope she's viewing again today to say thank you for being vigilant.
00:11:02You assisted her family to find a missing loved one. And this is what we ask of the population in general.
00:11:10Please help us, because we have a long list of missing persons in Trinidad and Tobago.
00:11:16So I spoke to his niece a while ago, and she said he's doing fine.
00:11:20A bit of Alzheimer's, mixing in there, and dementia, but he's doing fine. And he wanted to get home.
00:11:26Well, we are happy that he's back home with his family.
00:11:30And no doubt, we also want to thank that caller who was viewing this program and was able to contact Mr. Ramrat and his team.
00:11:39All right, we're going to take a quick look now at our headlines.
00:11:42,
00:11:52.
00:11:58.
00:12:00.
00:12:03.
00:12:08so those are some of the headlines over the last 24 hours sitting a very busy weekend and
00:12:24no doubt the sad news of a family a mother a father their daughter mother kiziketo father
00:12:36steve elder uh little janice elder and their friend kathleen wright five of the four of the five
00:12:44occupants of that high on the crater which as you see there crashed uh after losing control along
00:12:51the salomon huchoy highway in the vicinity of the yes before the claxton bay fire over on the south
00:12:57bound lane and mark there's a ramp to get on to the overpass in claxton bay so the vehicle
00:13:04ran off the road and was um it it came to a stop between the the edge of the highway and the the
00:13:13ramp taking you over into claxton bay but um a couple things well i spoke of signage earlier to indicate
00:13:21that that is is an area of concern for motorists traveling south because there's a curve there and
00:13:27the second thing is that it seems to be um that if he was traveling at a tremendous speed for for for
00:13:35for persons to have been um look let's just look at this as well taken by the express yeah um you know
00:13:42and it shows the magnitude of the of the damage the impact obviously it it flipped several times several
00:13:49times and speed and the impact of course uh causing the the vehicle to virtually crumple right
00:13:59and i'm wondering whether the the the the airbags would um detonate it there because i'm not seeing
00:14:05that in the in the video yeah i i'm not i'm not seeing that either and you know it's uh it's it's not
00:14:12a it's a failure it's a older model of the hyundai crater yeah uh from the from the series pdy but
00:14:19certainly i know that the stradden to make a police service would have uh issued a uh a long release
00:14:26study uh talking about several of these road fatalities i saw mr batsman also chiming in on
00:14:32the media about speed and and and when you're uh traversing these uh highways and you know there's
00:14:38also a sign that says crosswind yes before that corner as well because there's some serious crosswind
00:14:44and on that highway there in that area that you always tell you to be um vigilant about and to
00:14:51slow down and just you know take your time around that that bend because it's a very dangerous bend
00:14:56and if you lose control you could be the best driver in the world but when the wind picks up that vehicle
00:15:02and you lose control in some measure something is going to happen awful yeah and there's an old folk story
00:15:08that in trinidad and tobigo about the headless statue in claxton bay and i'm aware of it and that's just
00:15:15opposite to where this and the hill accident took place but you're quite right about the crosswinds and
00:15:20the solution to our crosswind is the villa wind belt create a wind belt to solve that and i think we
00:15:26we could do with some additional signage in gasperello and in claxton bay that doesn't in fact um that
00:15:34recommendation is made without prejudice to the actual cause of this accident yeah and we just
00:15:40quickly want to go to there was also a road traffic accident in the el sicoro area as well over the
00:15:45weekend um you see here that's the vehicle standing there literally standing leaning up against a a post
00:15:55and we would want to believe that the occupant or occupants of that vehicle um you know was not badly
00:16:02hurt all right but look at that to have land um perpendicular to the ground yes yeah
00:16:10i said there's something to to really look at and look look at those those persons in the picture they
00:16:15are like yeah what is this you know is that really a vehicle yeah yeah so the famous tick tock um video um
00:16:22how how how how did that happen all right then we have a house fire in the mayor area unfortunately a 54 year old
00:16:36man perished in this blaze um in the mayor after attacking his wife and son apparently chopping them both
00:16:44with a cutlass is believed that the fire was set by the man who later died in in this um this place
00:16:52here you're seeing on the screen um certainly it's a really sad situation uh but we are thankful that uh
00:17:00those other persons uh his wife understand that the son was discharged by the wife is still in hospital
00:17:07i didn't get a status update mark but right i just want to say that the gentleman who would have
00:17:13committed these acts he's known to me and his family is well known in the rio caro miaro district
00:17:19i don't know what would have caused him to do this but um i spoke to members of the family and they really
00:17:27shocked that this would have happened so our condolence goes out to the news family from the rio caro miaro
00:17:35district and we really wishing the his wife a speedy recovery yes certainly moving from uh that kind of
00:17:48mayhem fire me him to murder me and we had over the weekend um you know a very unfortunate murder in
00:17:54the belmont area sometime actually early this morning i should say rather um the person the victim
00:18:02anthony de la rosa uh he was found along hermitage road in belmont with a gunshot wound to the head
00:18:11he was taken to the port of spain general hospital where he apparently uh later died from those injuries
00:18:18and the irony of this and there it was a discussion in a number of police groups um where they shared a
00:18:25tick tock video where apparently mr de la rosa was doing uh a tick tock video with a popular bob the
00:18:34builder song about a week week and a half ago and he was actually lying in a casket right just the irony
00:18:42of it i don't know what's in particular i don't know why he was targeted uh but certainly you know another
00:18:48victim of of you know gun violence yeah and um well as i had seen the um tick tock video and i was
00:18:55wondering why he chose a casket but probably at the end of the days probably was predicting his own demise
00:19:02but again gun violence is around is still here and um young young men again he's a pretty young man
00:19:10yeah losing his life and um you know we ask people to just desist and and and try and and and you
00:19:19know do away with the gun violence yeah all right we're going to take a short break and we'll be back
00:19:25stay with us

00:21:30A message from the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service.
00:21:33Welcome back to Beyond the Tape. I'm your host, Mark Bassan, joined today by Captain Valence Rambarat of the Hunters Search and Rescue Team.
00:21:48And this is when we find out what's happening with the missing persons for this month and, of course, the end of May.
00:21:54Right. So, Mark, we finished the month of May with 34 persons, sorry, 37 reports of missing persons.
00:22:04We still have outstanding nine, and I will move on to June, which is shortly.
00:22:11Of the outstanding, we have Thomas Jagessa Vasquez, who is really a Trinidadian missing in Antigua.
00:22:20But just to give you an update on what's going on in Antigua, is that the person who last saw Thomas is in police custody on a drug-related charge.
00:22:31And he is assisting the police. So, hopefully, we can make a breakthrough on him.
00:22:39Mahindranath Sipasad, he is missing from the quarry in Valencia.
00:22:44And we're working on this case with the Trinidadian Tobago Police Service.
00:22:50And his vehicle is also yet to be found, yes?
00:22:52Yet to be found, and only today I was on the phone with the police officers, and I believe that they're waiting on a warrant to get us to go with them to conduct a search, right?
00:23:05In a particular area.
00:23:06And then you have, the problem with Ricardo Hartley is that he's missing since January 2024.
00:23:13Now, we keep looking, searching for him when we're outside.
00:23:17But we're not sure.
00:23:18What we're not sure of is, you know, what he looks like at this point in time.
00:23:25And it may be that we are passing him straight and cannot identify him, but we know for sure that he's on the streets.
00:23:33And I think we'll continue to search for him.
00:23:37Now, Richard Singh is becoming a cause for, oh, we have Destiny Critchlow.
00:23:43And Destiny is a repeat teenage runaway.
00:23:48And the last information I have from her friend is that she indicated to her friend that she's not coming back home.
00:23:55But the friend is in contact with her and working with her to try to resolve and try to bring this bitter agony and pain of the parents.
00:24:07So we're working with Destiny's friend to try and get her back home.
00:24:11Mark Richardson is starting to bother us now.
00:24:14He's from St. James.
00:24:16He went to his sister's home in Pulisity.
00:24:20He left on a particular day, the 16th, to return to St. James.
00:24:25Now, he has some bit of a gambling problem.
00:24:30So the sisters would have put up money and gave him to go back to St. James to pay the rent and whatnot.
00:24:37And he has not been found since.
00:24:39So I'm appealing to anybody who knows Richard Singh to just, if you see him, tell him that all his sisters are having sleepless nights and they want to know where their brother is.
00:24:54They went, even after they gave him the money to pay the landlady, they went and they paid the landlady.
00:25:02And so they want him to come out wherever he is and just come and meet his sisters, Richard.
00:25:11Because we feel that enough time has come.
00:25:16And if not, you know, we will have to begin to think that harm may have come his way, even though we feel strongly that this is not the case.
00:25:25You're not sure exactly where he, I mean, he left Pulisity, but in transit to St. James, somewhere along that line, he went missing.
00:25:32He went missing, yeah.
00:25:33So, and then Ashana, John, we're working on this case.
00:25:37So hopefully we should have a resolution to this case in a couple of days' time.
00:25:44And then we have Akiya Roberts, where we have no information on Akiya Roberts.
00:25:50What we find strange is that she has been outstanding since the 24th of May.
00:25:56Normally, you know, we give them a week, two weeks.
00:25:59So, you know, hopefully Akiya, who is only age 13, could return home.
00:26:04And also with Akiya Chaz, Akiya Chaz is 14 from Princess Town.
00:26:10She is known to us, and she should be home soon.
00:26:16We're working on this case quite diligently.
00:26:20And Samuel Rodriguez from Point 14.
00:26:24He's pretty new.
00:26:25He's pretty new, yeah.
00:26:27And from what we gather, he has been seen in the Point 14 district.
00:26:32He's a bit of a character.
00:26:35We don't feel harm has come to him, but he gets himself in some mischief from time to time.
00:26:41We feel that his mental health is compromised.
00:26:45And so we're asking the residents of Point 14 to please keep a lookout for Samuel Rodriguez.
00:26:51And we have a case here for June Mack.
00:26:55So this is our first case.
00:26:58Right.
00:26:58Jeremy, Jerome David, age 31 from Bob Street in Laramie.
00:27:04And what happened is that Jeremy left home on Indian Arrival Day, that's Friday, between the hours of 8.30 a.m. and 11 a.m.
00:27:17He didn't tell his mother where he was going.
00:27:20But she said to me that, you know, she felt he left abruptly.
00:27:25And so we have no other information on Jeremy.
00:27:29Now, Jeremy works at the Digomartin Regional Corporation.
00:27:35He works with the Disaster Management Unit there.
00:27:38So we're asking the people of Laramie to look out for us tomorrow as we try to canvass the area for some CCTV footage to try to help assist Jeremy to be located.
00:27:53He's missing with his vehicle as well.
00:27:55Okay.
00:27:55A silver, gray, field, Toyota's, field, station wagon, PDY, 3201.
00:28:03So we're looking for both the vehicle and Jeremy.
00:28:08Did Jeremy tell his mother where he was going when he left home?
00:28:13No, he left abruptly, which he found to be strange.
00:28:17And so we will be in the Laramie District tomorrow canvassing for CCTV footage.
00:28:24So this is just like in the area of Prisma, the St. Benedict.
00:28:29I know the area.
00:28:30St. Benedict's Roman Catholic Church.
00:28:33In that area.
00:28:33Alice Street area.
00:28:35So residents around expect us tomorrow morning and we will try to, you know, ask for your assistance to try to help locate Jeremy.
00:28:43So that's one case for June, Mark.
00:28:46All right.
00:28:46So if you don't have any information of these missing persons, of course, please contact the Hunter Search and Rescue Team or the nearest police station.
00:28:55We're going to take a short break and we'll be back with your calls.

00:31:19welcome back to beyond the tape i'm your host mark busan joined today by captain valence
00:31:44rambrack of the hunter search and rescue team and we know uh we have a one of your favorite segments
00:31:50voice of the people in arima let's go
00:32:14what is your biggest concern about crime our biggest concerns biggest concern is about
00:32:29crime but as far as i i look at it i'm going to be on the tape here i find the police
00:32:36seriously police not putting out the effort that they're supposed to put out to get rid of this
00:32:41blinding you to relax right look either be driving daily transferring between my home tarima and not
00:32:49once i will meet up a little police roadblock a little checkpoint to see what is going on and
00:32:55you know these criminals and i have to use the the roadway in order to go from point to point
00:33:01whether if i am succumbed describes right so if you have more like there's a checkpoint to check
00:33:09people to see what is going on i find that we can take down some of the crime because i'm not going
00:33:14to go planting on in a area and come back the next day to do the crime coming with it to do the crime
00:33:20right and too much guns on the street very real too much guns on the street compared to last year
00:33:26would you say crime is a lessening problem or growing problem time is a growing problem all the time
00:33:32all the time time it never goes down dollars going up i mean even with the time when alexander was
00:33:38with the unity did i see him going to a different place discovering thing taking guns off the street
00:33:44and up to the day he's still getting so much guns on the street so it means it ain't going up it just
00:33:49keep revolving coming up and the criminals and i'm getting more boldface now how much crime affected your
00:33:55daily life it affects me because i come out for crying every day that is what i do and i'm looking
00:34:01for crying right so it don't affect me really but people should be more observant and look at people
00:34:08you know observe them watch them because you will know somebody up to something i think what that
00:34:12happened yesterday yesterday i said it all a little fight down the oldest of the two years yeah and you
00:34:17can i see it going to happen the lady was saying how many blocks saw it she started to move because it was
00:34:22looking it was building up things that build up all right so people have to pay attention to the
00:34:27build up and thing around them and watch do you feel safe at your home all the time i'm a tree line
00:34:38all the time but where i live in you know nobody loving you know again people don't try nothing in the
00:34:44back there at that time i go to sleep i leave my car open i don't come in the morning
00:34:52the voice of the people yeah mark he doesn't seem to be you know confident about i mean he's speaking
00:35:03about you know a couple years ago when uh honorable minister was on this program yeah and now we're
00:35:10seeing then that the police has not really stepped up their game in terms of having like i guess regular
00:35:16checkpoints and and and you know checking in and these criminals who are trying to traverse the
00:35:21roadways and uh to transport their firearms or conduct illicit activity yeah and he made the point
00:35:27that he'd in his view he doesn't feel the police is working as they should my view on that is i feel the
00:35:34police really overwhelmed by the amount of persons involved in illegal activities and the second point is a great
00:35:41point the the checkpoints yes because the criminal enterprise use our roadways and you have to find
00:35:49a way to take control of the roadways and he made the point about not you know seeing enough roadblocks
00:35:57and when we do have roadblocks our citizens complain about the roadblocks but i think it's something that
00:36:04is needed and we should be able to live with it and and and you know understand why the police is
00:36:11conducting roadblocks but roadblocks are very effective and i know during the soe we were monitoring
00:36:18how many firearms were recovered but i understand well i'm not seeing that report anymore but just perusing
00:36:25the newspapers for the last few days they are seasoned firearms right now and what he's speaking about
00:36:33his community the area in which he lived is safe that happens in a lot of communities including mine
00:36:40where the residents get together and we look out for each other so anything that to use his words
00:36:45anything that is building in the area yeah we able to sense it and deal with it so ours is pretty much
00:36:52area is pretty much protected and so too is his area and you know you know you understand what he meant by
00:37:00three lines yes yes right so he has his his cutlass ready and waiting right so um uh a learned gentleman
00:37:10in terms of locking down the roads we need more of that yeah said yeah and you know oh during the soe
00:37:17we saw that those particular roadblocks you speak about all those frequent or infrequent like just pop-ups
00:37:25pop-ups yeah um we had a lot of um you know road traffic exercises where they would have seized um you
00:37:32know a lot of drugs and help people with firearms and so on so he makes he makes a good point point yeah
00:37:38is that you know and some people always feel that they're inconvenienced by these impromptu roadblocks
00:37:45but i think that is the time when you know you you might land something significant yeah and we see we saw the
00:37:52results during the soe so i think members of the public and what i want to say is that when you see
00:37:58these roadblocks just think about somebody else driving your vehicle and you are in the trunk of
00:38:04the vehicle and you if you're in the trunk of the vehicle you would be praying and hoping that a police
00:38:10officer stops your vehicle and conducts a proper thorough search of your vehicle so this is what is needed
00:38:18it's a sacrifice we all have to make to ensure that you know that the the law enforcement keeps
00:38:24the handle on crime yeah certainly and you know that's a very good point and it also works too when
00:38:31you talk about um you know various vehicles that are tinted without the requisite permission because if
00:38:37god forbid something happens with your vehicle and nobody's able to see inside if if somebody happens to
00:38:43take you or so on there's also that that other side state yeah so you know and on that note of course
00:38:50we have our first caller on the line caller good evening good evening um mr basant and the gentleman next
00:38:58to you good evening um mark um this morning um i have i'm calling from the double martin area i have called
00:39:07western police station this morning to complain about loud music but it's not really music it's noise
00:39:14now we have a lot of elderly people in the area including um my next of kin and we have a lot of
00:39:22young babies in the area i called to complain about the noise pollution i spoke with a corporal i explained
00:39:29the situation to the officer because this has been going on on an ongoing basis every day so i called and
00:39:37i explained he said he was on a squad car the squad did come but as soon as the young men and them saw
00:39:43because the house is on a hill they saw the squad car they turned on the music i called back the station
00:39:50and i spoke with the same corporal and i told him i said um that they turned on the music because they
00:39:58they saw the squad car i said could the officer go and speak to them because if i'm calling it's because
00:40:05i'm a constant citizen he said sure lo and behold when this corporate and came back down the road
00:40:13they passed straight they never went and speak to the young men and then the music as they left the
00:40:17music continued again that music noise continued the noise pollution continued but the thing about it
00:40:25the hierarchy is calling five for five percent confidence and trust in the public what they expect to
00:40:31do if they're calling in and reporting these things happening on a continuous basis what they expect us
00:40:37to do keep calling keep calling the station are we getting no response because they know they know
00:40:43the spotter because it's a hot spot they know the area because they're always in that area i really
00:40:49um disturbed about what the police expect the public to do to help them because i mean come on
00:40:56they're pulling a fast one on them because they know how these criminals operating and i know they're
00:41:01overwhelmed but oh gosh they could have at least try to see if they could have get them to lower the
00:41:07music because as soon as they these quarter left they put back on the music color is this western or
00:41:13forwards police station that you made the call to western police station you could never get any any
00:41:18favorable or positive response from western police station all my life i've been living in this area
00:41:24and i can never get any favorable or positive response from western police station
00:41:30and i i really wonder if they expect us to really give them trust them and have confidence in them
00:41:38because i'm wasting my money wasting my time to get them on the phone okay i just thought i'll i'll do it on air
00:41:47thanks for your concerns and your feedback call of course and uh we'll respond after this break stay with us

00:43:52it's not a thrill when your speed can't kill
00:44:04welcome back to be on the tape i'm your host marcus and joined today by captain valence rambert of
00:44:23the hunter search and rescue team and of course before the break uh we got a call from a call
00:44:28in the deggo martin area and um i don't know if you want to just yeah just with respect to the um
00:44:33noise pollution rules um scientifically if there's a breach of the law it has to be measured the noise
00:44:41level has to be measured and in this case you know each time the police officers approach they would
00:44:46have lowered the volume but nevertheless um mark this is where coming good community policing comes in
00:44:54yes so that you know your your officers sensing the problem and understanding that the guys would have
00:45:02been lowering lowering their their noise level as the vehicle approach they could have stepped out and
00:45:09you know speak to the the the gentlemen or the persons and you know ask for good sense to prevail because
00:45:16i know that elderly folks would be bothered and it would affect them and at the end of the day the young
00:45:22men they will maybe most likely understand the situation i have it at home if i have an event at home mark
00:45:30i go to all the residents and tell them we having an event yes you might have to tolerate a little bit of noise for
00:45:36a couple hours and they say no problem go ahead right now hopefully call i will also follow up with
00:45:42uh you know some senior officers at the western division just to get some feedback and hopefully
00:45:47in the future those officers who went and responded to the call will obviously stop and at least have a conversation with
00:45:54with with those young men who've been playing the music very loudly so we've been talking about road safety
00:46:00and of course you know we we have a couple more um you know videos to show you and this one
00:46:06actually takes us to the sister involving a police vehicle and um seem that um you know collided
00:46:15here um some video from from our journalist elizabeth williams uh it happened at an intersection
00:46:24so this guy's coming down and i am not seeing a stop sign anywhere from either side either side of
00:46:32the road so it's hard to determine which is the major road and the minor road in this accident so the
00:46:37police officer well at least he came out you know yeah and the suv there um ran into i guess uh
00:46:45a shed near a shop of some sort and we're hopeful that nobody was injured too badly right but i think
00:46:53you whether you're wrong or right you always have to be mindful at those kinds of intersections to slow
00:47:00down at least because you know both these vehicles seem to have been traveling at a relatively fast speed
00:47:09yeah and no no no slowing down no as as you approach the intersection and mark you know we have
00:47:15several spots on the parity bus route that are known for these types of um accidents yes so you know
00:47:22you know you know good um etiquette driving etiquette is to slow down at your intersections right of course
00:47:29then you have there's another road traffic accident here we have where we see that persons have to come to
00:47:38the aid of the driver of that vehicle so they're taking him out of the vehicle um we're not searching
00:47:46exactly where it might have occurred but um you know you know let's talk about speed and seeing that
00:47:54the vehicle might have ended up in a in a grassy area there
00:47:57and and they have to be careful um they also have to know that these modern day vehicles really can't
00:48:05take these smashes and crashes yeah that they will fold up and you see it being folded there so um
00:48:12the vehicle itself offers you not much protection in terms of it being you know of us made of a studium
00:48:19material and um a lot of smashes and crashes all over social media and there's another one
00:48:27in this on the southbound lane there indian trail right and you guys you could see there the road
00:48:35rain probably would have just stopped falling and this vehicle obviously veered off the 22 lanes
00:48:43into the the grassy area there and uh hopefully nobody will see it too badly because it doesn't look
00:48:50too bad but um you know again this is a solomon would try heavy going down in that area then just
00:48:58after indian trail you get to claxton b area yeah just and then right after is gasparillo yeah so people
00:49:04need to be mindful no we had to be thankful he didn't cross the median of course and this is where the
00:49:10crash barriers but i'm seeing on my uh uh we're seeing the installation of the crash of the new
00:49:16barriers it's more studio barriers the cables didn't seem to work at all no because it was very expensive
00:49:22because once this post collapse a whole length of arm cable will only go down so um the the we thankful
00:49:30that he didn't cross the median and create problems for the young the traffic going the other way yes
00:49:35certainly and something rather very different and unrelated to what you just saw or the there was
00:49:43this uh video or audio rather where someone a person is claiming they're coming back i believe to this
00:49:51country to claim their land yes i saw that one and um tick tock i believe yes and they holding at
00:49:59trying to learn to be go flat i mean back to claim our land and and and the gentleman has a firearm what
00:50:09appears to be a fire fire on the right side it looks like a rifle from just looking at the rather
00:50:15interesting of course but um uh i just want to tell him well certainly i don't think it was a very
00:50:22but he looks like one of those spanish conquistadores that he would have occupied trinidad at some point
00:50:29in time so he's probably planning to come back and think well the infrared awakening whether it's here
00:50:35or kayana exactly all right we're going to take a short break and we'll be back stay with us
00:50:52so
00:51:02so
00:51:06so

00:52:56Mary decides to call when she's five minutes away to let her daughter know that she is close by.
00:53:09But Mary forgot one thing.
00:53:16After two tickets, Mary just isn't paying attention to her speed.

00:53:42A message from the TTPS.
00:53:44Welcome back to Beyond the Tape.
00:53:57I'm your host, Mark Bassan, joined today by Captain Valance Rambarat of the Hunter's Search and Rescue Team.
00:54:02And I know you're going to tell us all about some of those wonderful rescues you took part in over the weekend.
00:54:09Well, it was during the week actually.
00:54:11I don't know if you remember, but while I was on last week, Monday's program, I said that there was a call to rescue a puppy in a storm drain, Price Mart, Laramie.
00:54:22I did recall.
00:54:23And two of our members went and Adrian wasn't wearing his team jersey, but he's holding the puppy there.
00:54:32A very feisty puppy.
00:54:34And just kudos to Adrian.
00:54:37Adrian had to go home and get that ladder for, you know, for other persons to go down.
00:54:44There's somebody in the storm drain right now, by the way.
00:54:46He's about to come out and not sure if he would.
00:54:49Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:54:50This is the guy, a Spanish, a Venezuelan guy, went into the storm drain.
00:54:56Adrian went home, he got the ladder, and the little puppy was rescued.
00:55:00But, Mark, so when the guys are not, we're not searching for missing persons, once we're available, we do rescue some time to time.
00:55:10And then we got a call from McCoya to rescue a manikoo.
00:55:13It was trapped by the dogs in someone's backyard.
00:55:16Right.
00:55:16And we went there.
00:55:17This is Desi Simon and Vina Narain Sinanan.
00:55:22They both looked, attended to this rescue.
00:55:26And you could see the train in there, where the, yeah, the train in the manikoo is scared.
00:55:33It's trapped there with, yeah, it's trapped.
00:55:37Yes.
00:55:37Dogs on both sides.
00:55:39He couldn't scale the brick wall at the back, so he's trapped.
00:55:42And this is Desi Simon, you know, skillfully, yeah, getting the manikoo there.
00:55:51And, of course, you have the, his container.
00:55:56I take it that you all released him into the wild.
00:55:58Yes, and we have the video to prove that he was released.
00:56:01Because there are other persons that would have done otherwise.
00:56:04Yeah.
00:56:04And then, Mark, when I left here on Monday, on my way home, I got a strange call from a farmer.
00:56:11Right.
00:56:12In an old phrygianist compound, there was a boa constrictor.
00:56:16Oh, wow.
00:56:17And you noticed babies with the mother.
00:56:19So this is the mother.
00:56:20Now, this is the first time anybody would have come across a boa constrictor, a female boa constrictor with its babies.
00:56:30All right.
00:56:32They give birth, live birth to about between 20 and 50 babies.
00:56:38Yes, several.
00:56:38And they move off quickly.
00:56:40And they leave the embryo on the babies for the babies to survive.
00:56:44And this is the first known sighting of a boa constrictor with its babies.
00:56:51And so we mobilized Forestry Division, the Reptile Conservation Center, Ryan Lighton.
00:56:58From there, I had gone there with about five or six members.
00:57:03And we really took good care.
00:57:06We ensured that the babies were clean.
00:57:08The mother was clean.
00:57:09Lots of ticks.
00:57:10And we were able to remove them.
00:57:13And this last one, we did this one again, a boa constrictor removal from the Laramie District.
00:57:20So, Mark, I know before I go, I know this is the start of your birthday week.
00:57:26I would not be able to meet you on Friday.
00:57:30So, I just want to wish you happy birthday in advance.

00:57:35And call us.
00:57:36Feel free to wish him happy birthday.
