02:44Good evening, Trinidad and Tobago.
02:46On to our global audience, this is Beyond the Tape.
02:48I'm your host, Whitney Husbands.
02:50Now, we approach the end of yet another work week.
02:53Yes, it is Friday.
02:54And we have something very special happening this weekend.
02:57Because we get ready and prepare to celebrate all our beautiful, phenomenal mothers out there for Mother's Day.
03:04Now, today, since it's being Friday, of course, we have one of our favorite officers back with us once again.
03:09Remember, we had a little switch up this week.
03:11But he's here to close up the week.
03:13We have ASP Russell, who is joining us.
03:15And welcome back, ASP.
03:16We missed you.
03:18Welcome back, Ms. Husbands.
03:19I am happy to know that you missed me.
03:21I'm not certain if the viewers missed me.
03:23I think they do.
03:24But I'm here, Trinidad and Tobago, good Friday evening.
03:30On behalf of the Commissioner of Police, Deputy Commissioners, Assistant Commissioners, First and Second Division Officers of the...
03:36Esteem.
03:37Trinidad and Tobago Police Service.
03:38Let me start off by saying happy Mother's Day to all the mothers in Trinidad and Tobago and throughout the
03:48entire Caribbean and the world.
03:50And when I say mothers, I'm not just speaking to those biological mothers, but to the aunts, the sisters, the
03:57cousins, the parent or co-parent or assisting, mentoring, guiding, leading, instilling morals, discipline and values in the children around
04:09them.
04:09So you all are mothers as well.
04:12Happy Mother's Day to everybody.
04:14I have to say happy Mother's Day to Jackie too because she's like a mother to many of us out
04:20there.
04:20Happy Mother's Day.
04:23Now, this week here we saw a lot of crazy things that happened, senseless acts at the police.
04:29Let's start off with Belmont.
04:31Belmont was a moment where basically stopped the country because a child, again, the life of a child was taken
04:39and at a very, very young age, infant age.
04:42Mr. Osborne, first of all, let me say, again, condolences to the families of those that had met their demise
04:52in this incident.
04:53I pray a speedy recovery for the remaining victim.
05:00Trinidad and Tobago, it also bothered me as well.
05:04Long time, we had codes.
05:07Children and women were exempted from certain things.
05:10We need to really take back the community.
05:14I've heard several persons in media asking what the police doing.
05:19The amount of resources that the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service has placed in Port of Spain.
05:26There are multiple patrols in the Port of Spain district because it's Belmont, it's Lavantel, it's Dongtong, Port of Spain,
05:32it's Upper Port of Spain, Park Street, etc.
05:34We have the ITF, we have the Garden Emergency, we have the District Police Stations, we have the Municipal Police.
05:41All of them have continuous patrols in Port of Spain, yet still we keep seeing incidents like these.
05:48We understand the cries of the public.
05:51We hear the cries of the public, but we too undergo some psychological trauma every time we have to visit
05:57the scene of a murder.
05:58So, it's no celebration, it's not something that we like to do, regardless of the person's reputation or whatnot.
06:06We're hoping, we're asking, we're praying, we're begging, we're pleading that persons change their lives.
06:15But parents, relatives, loved ones, siblings, mothers, as we go into Mother's Day, then your relatives involved in criminal activity.
06:24Let me just give some advice, please.
06:27It don't end well.
06:29This is not a video game.
06:30No, it's not.
06:31With gang violence, it's not, are you ready to come outside, done, and you press a button and it's done.
06:36Either your own gang members take you out, some of them say blood in, blood out, or a rival gang.
06:42So, the best thing to do is to hold on to your children, hold on to your loved ones, and
06:47let me really, let me keep fighting with them.
06:51Sometimes it's difficult.
06:52I know it's difficult.
06:54Sometimes you as a parent don't have the resources.
06:57Whatever it may be, but financially, sometimes you as a parent, because the Bible talks about children making children.
07:02I was told that I speak about God too much on the program.
07:06But we had to really, really sharpen our thoughts and ideas and think back and throw our minds back and
07:13see the kind of communal living that we need to really make China and Tobago a better place.
07:20The police cannot do it by themselves.
07:22We would not give up.
07:25But we cannot do it by ourselves.
07:28But the TTPS did say that they, with this incident, and also the one that took place, or the Lady
07:34Young, that they are going full speed ahead, full force.
07:37They are not stopping until the African individuals who committed these seniors acts.
07:42They're saying that they are on it, but again, information is needed.
07:46Miss Husbands, we would take night and make day.
07:49We will haunt them.
07:50And you know what even hurts me even more?
07:52We just had a vigil.
07:54Yes.
07:55Persons would just walk in Chupor, that's painful.
07:58Hundreds of people.
07:59For the young lady that passed away in the Lady Young incident.
08:02So haven't we learned nothing from that?
08:06This is craziness.
08:07And speaking of craziness, now we switch gears to a home invasion that happened in Gasparola.
08:13And again, you know, innocents and persons who may have their business, persons inquiring on certain items,
08:19you are believing this person is going to be there to purchase an item.
08:25And here we're seeing another home invasion.
08:27And the last home invasion we saw, it didn't end well.
08:30And this one also did not end well.
08:32ASP.
08:34This is the situation by the 10th place.
08:36Yes.
08:37And, and, hey, Mrs. Vons, Trinidad and Tobago, we need to stop walking wrong thinking it would not happen to
08:47me.
08:47Yes, correct.
08:48There was a home invasion incident in Central last weekend.
08:54Four persons met their demise.
08:56Two persons in custody.
08:58We are still looking for another two.
09:00All they got was what, a thousand dollars?
09:02A thousand dollars and a cell phone.
09:03A thousand dollars and a thousand dollars and a cell phone.
09:05This one here, with the lady in Williamsville, if it's the 10th rental place here.
09:11Based on information, now we thank the public for continuing to assist us as well.
09:16As a result, certain exercises were conducted.
09:19One person decided to engage the police officers and they, too, met their demise as the officers responded in accordance
09:31to the use of force policy.
09:33Two persons are in custody with respect to this.
09:37All they got, from what I understood, was a cellular phone.
09:40One of the gentlemen were actually held with the cellular phone taken from the lady.
09:4767, 67 years old.
09:49And a cell phone that you took.
09:53Make it make sense.
09:55As I said yesterday, I'm exhausted.
09:58I don't know when and how much.
09:59I know we will not stop speaking about it and letting persons know to try and instill the morals and
10:05values that are needed when it comes to making sure that we raise low-abiding citizens in this country.
10:11And crime really doesn't pay.
10:13You know what has bothered me the most?
10:15And I want to just speak freely for a bit.
10:18These guys are relatives.
10:19These young boys are relatives and they come down to Somalia.
10:27Their girlfriend, their virgin, their brothers, their sisters, their aunts, uncles, parents.
10:35Nobody is saying nothing.
10:38But everything is the police fault.
10:40Nobody is saying nothing.
10:41But everything is the police fault.
10:43They're coming back home to you all.
10:47Now, at this time, we shift gears once again where we have the UN Road Safety Tips.
10:54And with this here, this week is a week of where we want persons to understand the importance of understanding
11:02your role and function as a driver.
11:05Yes, so we have the United Nations Road Safety Week, which goes from the 8th of May, 2026 to the
11:1112th of May, 2026.
11:14And we have quite a few road safety tips.
11:16And some of them will continue to elaborate as the show goes on.
11:19But they will see, you know, drink or drive.
11:22Choose one.
11:24You know, we're trying to make a police service.
11:25It's reminding all of the road users, if you drink, do not get behind the wheel.
11:30Plan designated driver.
11:31Use a taxi or ride service.
11:33Be a designated driver for friends.
11:36And when I say a designated driver, not the person who will say, I could drink a little less.
11:42Because we do have the designated drivers that just only drink a little less than the others.
11:47We are asking that the designated driver do not partake in any form of drinking, of consuming alcohol.
11:54Yes.
11:55I hope that is, you can repeat it again for that.
11:57We are asking that the designated driver do not engage in any consumption of alcohol.
12:03All right.
12:05Now it's time to go back to basic once again.
12:07Here is episode two.
12:09Let's see if you could nail this one.
12:19We want to see if drivers still know their regulations.
12:25Right?
12:26How long are your license?
12:27What's this routine?
12:28I don't know.
12:2930 years now.
12:3030 years.
12:31So that means you have a wealth of knowledge of the regulations on the road.
12:36So I want to believe if I ask you a few questions, you may be able to take it.
12:41You ask me three questions.
12:42Very simple questions.
12:44Nothing too crazy.
12:45Nothing about aliens.
12:48Just about the road and the regulations.
12:49Yes.
12:50You think you might be able to take it all three?
12:52Correct?
12:52It depends on the questions.
12:53I got that right.
12:54So the first question is, what is the legal limit of drinking and driving in Trinidad and Tobago?
13:01A. 35 micrograms A. 35 milliliters per 100 micrograms of breath B. 35 micrograms per 100 milliliters of breath C.
13:1536 milliliters per 100 milliliters of breath D.
13:20Again, let's do a second, that one.
13:21And when you have it right there, come on.
13:23I already don't drink.
13:24Yes, sir.
13:25I already don't drink.
13:27I already don't drink, I already don't drink, I already don't drink, sir.
13:29You don't drink?
13:31But you know what?
13:32That is one.
13:32You might get the second one.
13:34The answer is C. 35 micrograms per 100 milliliters of breath.
13:39I count it on you.
13:42Right, so here is the second one, right?
13:43You are approaching a two-lane roundabout, which is the most appropriate lane when proceeding straight.
13:52Left.
13:52Left lane A, right lane B, left or right lane C, D, doesn't matter.
14:02Left.
14:04Alright, so the answer is C.
14:07ABC.
14:08But here we're going on now, boy.
14:10I'll give you one more.
14:10This has to be the savior.
14:12So this nice blue with the cross on it here, with the red cross, what does that sign need?
14:20No parking.
14:22No parking.
14:25Stopping prohibited.
14:26What I would like you to do, sir, is just take a little refresher, let me get back to your
14:30time, and also encourage other drivers, and especially younger drivers, to follow the rule and regulation.
14:36Right?
14:36We will get one.
14:39I guarantee we will get a three out of three.
14:41Let's go.
15:07Let's go.
15:10It goes to show that a lot of the times, persons, they acquire their driver's permit.
15:16Unless you're going for some new accreditation, probably a different class or something, or endorsement, as they say, you may
15:23not really look at your regulation book for a very long time.
15:26I am guilty of that.
15:27Same here.
15:27I am guilty of that.
15:29I am guilty of that.
15:43Yes.
15:43But the thing about wrongabout is try to get into the lane, which brings you closest to your exit, so
15:50you don't have traffic crossing.
15:53That is why you say oh.
15:54Right, that's why you say oh.
15:56It's based on where you're going to be exiting the wrongabout.
15:59We, when I was in the Western Division, the wrongabout at Westmoorings, Westmoor there.
16:04The new wrongabout.
16:05The new wrongabout.
16:05The new wrongabout.
16:05Well, the newish one.
16:06Yes.
16:08You would find a lot of persons, they come in on the left, but they're exiting on the right.
16:12Crazy.
16:12And some coming on the right and exiting on the left.
16:14So we experience an increase in accidents around that area because of that.
16:23We have done many things to address it.
16:25There was a diagram as well, and the Ministry Highway, yes, Transport and Highway Divisions, they had a nice little
16:35animated video that they did.
16:36People could even go on YouTube and search and see how to enter and exit a wrongabout.
16:41It's based on the lane that you're exiting on.
16:43Well, I hope persons understand how to use the wrongabout because it's one where a lot of people still get
16:48confused.
16:49Right now, it's time to take a look at our update when it comes to SOE for today, date May
16:548, 2026.
16:56Number of operations, 5,027.
17:00Number of targets, priority offenders, 1,628.
17:04Searches conducted, 2,614.
17:08Traffic operations, 2,924.
17:11Total persons arrested, 2,228.
17:15Total persons charged, 475.
17:19Firearms recovered, we are seeing a total of 141.
17:23Ammunition recovered with an increase of the 9mm, giving us a total of 3,060.
17:29Dangerous drugs seized and increased once again with the cannabis and cocaine.
17:33Clear speech.
17:34We have an increase in the 9mm wrongs and marijuana as well as cocaine.
17:39Yes.
17:41And we will continue to do our best to rid the streets of these dangerous drugs, illegal firearms, ammunition, etc.
17:48Of course, I would stand here and I would continue to plead.
17:52Despite how you feel about the police, that you partner with us and that you share the information and even
17:57say if you don't trust the police, we have 555-800 tips.
18:02We really want the information in public.
18:03And I think the days of sitting by and doing nothing based on the events of the last few weeks
18:11should be a no-no in everybody's mind.
18:17Just imagine, Miss Husbands, if Sister A, no brother B in crime and they get the police information.
18:26And I would also say this as well to the officers, which are the minority, that in the service and
18:33you're crooked and rotten, leave because it's making it worse.
18:38And if they choose not to leave, when we get the information and we do our investigation, they will have
18:45to find a lawyer.
18:46That's what we're saying.
18:47And we will still put them out at the end of it.
18:50And go behind bars.
18:51Time to take a look at what's making today's headlines.
19:36And those are your stories making today's headlines.
19:38Remember, you can give us a call at 623-1711 extension 1996 and 1997.
19:43We'll be back.
19:56Wipes and cleanser can irritate your sensitive skin.

20:50Don't miss it!
20:51Scandal in Cipriani College.
21:20Don't miss it!
21:50And welcome back.
21:51We have ASP Russell here with us, my course, on a Friday.
21:55Now, it seems to me that we have a lot of persons who don't have respect anymore for elderly people.
22:03Let me tell you why.
22:03This video was circulating by UWE Light and this elderly individual was being assaulted by two...
22:13I have to refrain from seeing what I wanted to see on TV.
22:16Yes.
22:20Miserable, disturbing, and clearly angry young persons.
22:29What could this man do to these two able-bodied men?
22:33He's not even fighting back now.
22:35No.
22:38No.
22:39Look, look, look.
22:40Because you know how he get big soon.
22:42Yeah.
22:44Jesus.
22:44And you're feeling good about yourself there now.
22:46Wow.
22:46Look at that.
22:47Look at that.
22:52What you're gaining from doing that?
22:56Jesus.
23:01We are such a violent society.
23:04Yes, I'm angry.
23:05But they're advantageous.
23:07They're very advantageous.
23:11And it seems from here, yeah, like the, I guess a person tried to stop them from continuing
23:20that terrible act they were displaying there on, and being physical.
23:25But the elderly man, it seems, I'm sorry.
23:27Clearly, there's a demon or demon spirits rooming at this point in time.
23:32Because the way in which people operate, everything that they need to do when it comes to interacting
23:38with individuals, ASP, must be violent.
23:41Yep.
23:42And this is what we are seeing in society today.
23:47And tough times calls for tough measures, Ms. Osborne.
23:50You all can't do anything here.
23:51But this video evidence we have here, obviously they are custom being there.
23:56And that is it, too.
23:57And I am hoping that the, I think that would fall in the St. Joseph Police Station District,
24:04I believe, if not St. Joseph, to Napuna.
24:06So I'm hoping that we could get some type of information so that we could launch an investigation
24:11and with respect it.
24:13What I want to know, though, is I understand that one person videotaped it.
24:18Yes.
24:18Okay, well, good for the recording.
24:20Did anybody choose to call the police and say, look, some men are sorted on the elderly person here?
24:25I'm not sure.
24:26Because my officers would have certainly responded.
24:29You know, sometimes we see things going on and the first, our first reaction really and truly
24:34is to record it rather than call the police.
24:39So we are asking, we cannot tell it, don't record, we are asking that you call the police first.
24:44Yeah.
24:44I hope we all could find a way to apprehend these individuals.
24:48Now, it seems like, again, persons are unable to wear pieces on them that is precious to them
24:53because it's theirs and they paid for it.
24:55And even if it's not precious, I just choose to wear it.
24:59But other individuals want it more than you.
25:02Broad daylight.
25:03Take a look at this.
25:05ASP, we're seeing here, this is a school where there's a school located.
25:10Actually, schools that are located there.
25:12And it seems like this young lady is going about a business, may pick up a child and look what
25:17happened.
25:20And the individual realized that it doesn't even make sense running.
25:27Traffic is there.
25:28Do business.
25:29You can see my face.
25:30I don't care.
25:31Because nothing is going to happen.
25:35Looks back.
25:36Do something.
25:38The cool.
25:39Calm.
25:41Like, you know.
25:44And persons are afraid ASP.
25:50If she decided to approach this man, scream, you don't know what he has, who else is working with him,
25:55we don't know.
25:57Let me take it one step further.
25:59For all those who are sitting and talking about how violent the country is, you don't know who her boyfriend
26:07is, who her husband is, who her father is.
26:13What if that is somebody who decides to engage in some sort of violence?
26:19And these are the things we have to keep thinking about.
26:22Okay, let's say she goes to the police station, she makes a report, but she has relatives too.
26:28She has loved ones.
26:30And I am saying there are plenty of persons who would not want to see, nobody would want to see
26:34their relatives, you know, go through something like that.
26:37What if it had some sentimental value?
26:40You know, we keep, we need to start to change ourselves individually.
26:45Let me draw a next example.
26:47Persons come in.
26:48You save up your hard-earned $40,000, $50,000 to buy a vehicle.
26:52And when you're going to purchase a vehicle, somebody trying to rob you.
26:56Or somebody come and they pretend to be in a particular housing institution, and you give them your money because
27:01they're trying to provide a roof for your family, a roof over their head.
27:04And then they're going with your $50,000 hard-earned money.
27:09Things like that is what contributes to the anger we face in society.
27:15People have to start to change.
27:18People have to want to change their ways.
27:21It starts with the individual.
27:24Yeah, but it seems like the criminal element, ASP, is too comfortable at this point in time.
27:30And it is, it shows they have, one, they have no respect for the TTPS.
27:34Let's start there.
27:35And they believe that they will be able to get away with whatever they do.
27:40You are emboldened in this way that you could, I could snatch something from you and walk.
27:45And walk.
27:46Walk, you know.
27:47Yes.
27:47Not even briskly, walk.
27:49Well, Miss Husbands, and I hear you, you know.
27:52Well, we didn't get here overnight.
27:56When we, there was a time where, when the motorway didn't balloon to this overnight.
28:01But as time evolved, everybody got temporary, temporary blindness.
28:08So persons felt comfortable in shooting someone on the brown lava promenade and nobody would see.
28:15So even though you're talking about the respect for the police, and I hear you, because that is an element
28:19of it as well.
28:20And I know that we, too, the police service, would have done things to have the public, really, wavering their
28:26trust for us.
28:27But it's not the entire organization.
28:29We have some issues.
28:30We have a minority.
28:31For those who think that I don't address it on the program here.
28:35All right.
28:36We have a caller.
28:36Let's take that call.
28:37Caller, good evening.
28:38I do apologize, caller, for the wait.
28:41Good evening.
28:43Good afternoon, my dear Miss Whitney.
28:44Good evening.
28:45Good afternoon, my dear friend, Miss Russell.
28:48Good evening, ma'am.
28:49I know we're going to be at the short future, but I've had some questions to put to me.
29:00But you see, this, Mr. Leck, for now, it just turned me off.
29:06Because, you see, these guys, they will need their feet.
29:12You don't even kick a dog.
29:15They will need their feet.
29:17They either on drugs or sit and stay over them.
29:21Apparently, they don't even know what is a Bible.
29:24I don't know where they come from.
29:26You know, to my opinion, they come from the black ragoon.
29:30Which is the hell they come from.
29:33They didn't come from our parents.
29:34They would like somebody to do their parents that.
29:38But, oh, Lord, I am praying that when they didn't come, they wouldn't be able to reach that old man
29:46in.
29:47Because, you see, what they do there?
29:48God not sleeping.
29:49God don't ever sleep.
29:52And I'm really upset about it, but God is good.
29:57He has the final thing.
29:59He has the final thing.
30:01You all, guys, we took faith and thanks for everything.
30:05Thank you so much for that.
30:07Well, no evil deed will go unpunished.
30:11Yeah.
30:12And then people wonder.
30:13I wonder what he do.
30:15I wonder why.
30:16And it's acts like these.
30:18Acts like these.
30:21Unprovoked.
30:24Unprovoked.
30:25And I was recently asked about the situation with the school children.
30:28Yeah.
30:29Imagine you trying to part a fight and that was the outcome.
30:35People don't want to intervene anymore.
30:37Let's take that break.
30:38We'll be back.
30:52Welcome to Holiday Inn Express.
30:55I'm Suiza.

32:33Revealing facts.
32:35Provoking opinions.
32:50Of course, we continue with regards to the road safety tips ASP,
32:54and we continue going back to basic because we're going back to episode three at this time.
32:58So let's take a look, and let's hopefully we can get somebody who could nail all three.
33:01Let's see.
33:17We want to see if these drivers have knowledge of the regulation.
33:22Because I know you went, you went and did your test, you passed, you don't know all these hands, you
33:26don't know all these signs.
33:28So you're not, but you're using the car every day.
33:32So, we're giving you two questions and a roadside.
33:36And let me see if you can get all three right.
33:38If the signal light comes from green to amber as you approach an intersection, what must you do?
33:45A. Stop.
33:46If a stop cannot be made, safely proceed with caution.
33:50B. Song the horn to warn the pedestrians and other drivers.
33:54C. Continue through the intersection without slowing or stopping.
33:58D. Speed up to clear the intersections as quickly as possible.
34:03So which answer would this be sent?
34:05Stop.
34:06One.
34:07Me.
34:08A.
34:08This man is in ripping form so that he's one out and one out.
34:11You're doing good.
34:12So question two.
34:14Which of the following actions, when performed while driving, is considered distracted driving?
34:21A. Texting.
34:22B. Talking on the phone.
34:25C. Adjusting the radio.
34:27D. Focusing on a family problem.
34:30E. All of the above.
34:32All of the above.
34:33C. Give me my take now, boy.
34:36D. Focusing on the back here.
34:37That's why it's going to be easy now, boy.
34:38D. Focusing on the back here.
35:04no stopping prohibited stopping prohibited right yeah yeah you're getting a like they
35:15get about two and a half and you know what because you get two and a half you get right
35:24man of course so on behalf of the princess town station council and the tdps for your knowledge
35:31of the regulations we award you with this right and we encourage you to go over the regulations
35:39and also encourage others especially younger drivers
35:43to go over the regulations right yes thank you sir enjoy your evening you too be safe
35:47well finally we got through at one i was beginning to get a little worried you know
35:51because we did some and everybody was getting one out of three two out of three so we are very
35:56thankful
35:57that the drivers of the nations road know the rules and regulations
36:11back to basic i am not going to lie you could have given him the full three new sauce once
36:15i hope the public could see the tdps in a different light not every time we have a roadblock is
36:21to give
36:21tickets you got gifts you see you're getting gifts as well i think you need to train let him train
36:27army officers with customer service but we are doing the trade and continuous training and retraining
36:32ms husbands you know and and we will get there we will get there those who will take the trading
36:37in the first instance we do the retraining so let me add two more tips right as he spoke about
36:43the cell phone so we start with wear your seatbelts seatbelts save lives
36:47ensure all passengers including those in the back seat are properly restrained for persons with
36:55children under five car seats are very important and it's something that you can get a ticket for
37:02if you don't have a car seat let me add one more avoid distracted driving using a cell phone while
37:09driving can be deadly keep your eyes on the road at all times all right now there was an incident
37:17that took place where a student was bounced down near crosswalk and we know many times and most of
37:24you if you don't know jesse crosswalk as zebra crossing we also call it that and we've mentioned
37:28your safety where we when it comes to an incident like this and
37:37persons being near crosswalk even if you're not watching motorists do when they're approaching
37:41that side crosswalk because the the the child was seriously injured wow
37:48well motorists really and truly once you see persons standing to cross in the vicinity of a zebra
37:55crossing you should stop and let them cross if there's a traffic light and it gives you the green
38:00light proceed with caution jackie do me a favor and go back to that same video and when you see
38:06the amber
38:06light pause it for me and there's a school crossing zone exactly i want when she goes closer to the
38:13the amber lights the blinking amber lights that is to alert you to slow down that's what i know in
38:18regulations before you even approach the zebra crossing or the crosswalk because it's before it
38:24yeah it's before it yeah so like i said so if it's in the position of that you're still on
38:30even if you're driving and you see person standing there light or no light stop and allow the persons
38:36to cross right and then there are some um zebra crossing or crosswalks like by city gate where
38:42there are lights also the traffic light will change and you allow persons to cross right now i would expect
38:49that even if you have the green light you have the right away and you're approaching the crosswalk that
38:53you still slow down you know still slow down and proceed with caution because sometimes
38:59persons do walk yes distracted as well and they may think i'm only crosswalk and before watching
39:04the light they may run across the road as well regulation yeah so regulation state
39:09crosswalk lights or no lights once you cross across zebra crossing it's there and a pedestrian
39:13approaches you must slow down and stop to allow them to cross yes that's one general regulation
39:19that does it up a little bit some part of it some part we have a caller caller good evening
39:23good afternoon good evening mom yeah just now you know we got a lovely song from the good lord
39:34home he said love one another as i have loved you we are corrupt with major negativity because in one
39:44from the youngest to the oldest do not understand the meaning of l
39:48who will be all they know is to rape to rub
39:55kidnap the nasties of nasties that they're doing to the goal of God's children we are all God's children
40:02and all police have been doing it always are negative they have to condemn and they are
40:07finding the greatest historic mission of this and that and the other what if he is not God but
40:13he is still trying his best every officer has to do it and who will decide not to do the
40:18duty
40:18the right way they have to answer to because every one of us has to answer at judgment day we
40:26are not
40:26going to be carried away against the wheel of that and what is that we good the sweethearts hold on
40:31to
40:31that faith we have to stand all together you know we have to stand and pray without anybody knowing
40:38that we're praying because it is going to want to take over us just like how they want to do
40:42in ap
40:43the city worse than ever we cannot reach that level but they're trying but nothing is powerful
40:49than the God and we have a lot he have a lot of loving people for him the sweethearts is

44:02a message from the ttps
44:17and welcome back now asp there was a video that was circulating on social media where we saw a
44:24gentleman taking whatever object it was and marking an x on the ground and what the discussion was
44:31seeing on social media was stating that it was a marking of where they're placing this for home
44:37invasion and persons are obviously now terrified seeing a video where the man is proceeding in front
44:44of a woman marking an x on the ground and that's the narrative that's being pushed right now on social
44:50media is a marking to let the persons know whoever this is the house okay miss husband so i i
44:57really
44:57commend the very public reacted in the sense that they took the initiative to you know hear their
45:06sentiments and stuff like that i too received a call about this morning but let me just how to put
45:15it
45:15relax some of the fears of the citizens um it's a committee that has a group that runs more or
45:24less
45:25in the night it's a kind of treasure hunt run um one of the persons one of the main persons
45:30on the
45:30committee is indeed a police officer and his mother was a police officer another person called me and
45:36they are also somebody that i went to school with so it's a night run where it's not just a
45:42run but
45:42there are activities that you run when you meet each one of those um x's markers one of those markers
45:48and that is what it is about um they even asked if we are open to having them come on
45:55the air to explain
45:57exactly what it is i mean i'd have a conversation with the producer mishaki afterwards and see but
46:03children and tobigo they messaged me they did send a video and they said that um it's nothing to be
46:09fearful
46:09about israel they are running group and they were just planning their route for their next um
46:13treasure run but you know they also have to be careful because the climate of the country right
46:17now is not one where persons will take that as a form of activities they need to have um
46:24readily identifiable t-shirts and ids on them so person could recognize oh okay this is what it is
46:31and and you know you just can go about this marketing nations would be like that also
46:35remember the criminal element yeah as well today advances to do the same thing because you will
46:41belong to the government yes it does we have another caller caller good evening
46:48hello hello hello good evening good evening sir good evening sir yes good evening sir
46:58and i pay close attention if you just think of the human being i am satisfied it's only one
47:07one thing we understand and that's consequences and from the moment we do not suffer consequences
47:16we do whatever we want it's a fact it's a fact it's a scientific fact if you do the wrong
47:25thing
47:25and you do not suffer the consequences for it you will continue to do it if you say those things
47:40people and put them in another jurisdiction and say to them exactly how you behave in trinidad exactly
47:47what you're doing trinidad do you see it what you feel about they will see them they will not do
47:53it
47:54and leave them because they do the stuff of the consequences yeah this and nobody nobody whether
48:02the cell phone snatches whether they go chase snatches or whether they've sold snatches nobody suffered
48:08the consequential reaction so that's why people be able to behave i reported that matter to the police
48:13on the 8th of march 20 22. so this is the 8th of what may 20 26 i gave them
48:21footage i gave them
48:22documents i gave them names not nothing i've been done four years ago because the other perpetrators
48:29the police officers could not know what i did we do not differ anything we understand human beings
48:34there's only suffer the consequences you know they didn't defend parliament and blame every single
48:39one of them because they played politics with people like other jurisdictions around the world
48:44they think that these people are doing here they would not do it i mean why they will suffer the
48:49consequences you ever saw this movie ballerina where they send johnny to kill the ballerina he could have
48:55out her lights four times and then she said give me a half or it's different you see after her
49:00or if you don't do what you have to do they're not going to ask what you say what you
49:03say consequences
49:06personally once you suffer consequences quickly and immediately they will stop waiting for you
49:12yeah thank you thank you yes p totally agree call i agree with you one and and i am sorry
49:21and i do
49:21apologize that you had to go through that i want to continue to advise you in that and tobago any
49:27time
49:28you go to the police and you give them the information and you provide footage and you have a matter
49:34being
49:34investigated um that it have if you're not getting anything any justices have the police complaints
49:42division it of the police complaints authority feel free to come in and make a report feel free
49:51the police complaints authority they are civilians if you're not comfortable going by police they are
49:57civilians a civilian body there's the police complaints division there's they have an officer
50:02the maloney police station there are office um in san fernando there's one in tobago and there is the
50:08main head office at matco building henry street which is on your right side heading north on henry street
50:15just before park street you can come in you can also call and you can make a complaint do not
50:21just sit
50:21down home there and time passing and you're not hearing anything and you did not make a complaint
50:27all right we have another caller caller good evening
50:31hello good evening good evening sir good evening sir yes good day yes i made a client call on wednesday
50:43when the attorney was there mr ali and i want to make it this evening with the senior officer there

51:03and i am asking you as a senior who is on the ground i know your passion for the job
51:09please do something
51:12about that area even today and all today as i speak here now there was a shooting somewhere up in
51:20water
51:20one or something so area again this is unbearable and they're killing our little children
51:28they're killing them we cannot as a society continue that way we have to send a clear message to the
51:37criminals that we are coming for you and you cannot have this amount of shooting when you need to
51:44reach about eight shooting i am saying sir all to respect the hard-working police officers i know you
51:53all will have some time tomorrow at the sports but i'm saying do not let your guard down these criminals
52:01do not do not kill anything and they are making the country look bad internationally when something
52:09happened at this time 24 6 in the evening it is 21 minutes past six it has been seen all
52:17about so i'm
52:18making that try and call esp please concentrate on those areas maybe we need to advise the government to
52:26declare curfew in those areas if these criminals don't want to be afraid i am very very upset what
52:34is happening in those areas please sir police work in hard but we need to take charge of those areas
52:41thank you very much thank you caller yes well i i mean i i call i totally understand and the
52:51ttps we are
52:53trying our resources are not infinite we don't have every tool that we need but with what we have we
53:01are
53:01trying is there room for improvement we always have room for improvement but there's a critical part of crime
53:12fighting and sir robert peel always say the police are the people and the people are the police because the
53:21criminals are living somewhere next to somebody buying by the parlor with the same money they're going
53:30out and getting from their robbers and their home invasions somebody with a jewelry store will buy that
53:38stolen chain that was snatched off the lady neck it is an amalgamation of stakeholders community leaders
53:48religious bodies schools etc you know all right i understand we have another call let me go to the

54:20long
54:21time i've been trying with that and since coming to this program i got significant relief and another
54:26important issue that was pending for a number of years you know speaking to the esp he intervened and i've
54:33seen significant results and i want to thank him tremendously and i want to wish him well i think we
54:39have you know
54:40only have the materials and all the requisites as a future commissioner in the making and i want to wish

55:37sir good evening caller yeah i want to make one comment to comment really um i look into this program
55:45option one of the things that one of the things that i am not hearing anybody talk about in order
55:51to cut the
55:52crime in texar and tobago nobody not even the media talking about the death penalty why don't we put it
56:02to
56:02our referendum ask the government to put our referendum why we cannot implement the death penalty this day we
56:10start to hang people in this country the crime will just drop off and nobody nobody nobody not putting
56:19it on the front burner every day there should be like how they say the murder race is so much
56:26the murder
