02:27Good evening, Trinidad and Tobago.
02:29And to our international audience, and of course, our brothers and sisters in Grenada.
02:33This is Beyond the Tape.
02:34And I'm your host, Whitney Husbands.
02:36And today, it's Friday, y'all.
02:38Yes, it is.
02:39It's the end of yet another work week.
02:41And I could say this.
02:42The TTPS is fully charged up and ready to go because they are very vigilant today.
02:47We have seen that they are able to make sure no laws were broken and no lives were taken today.
02:52Knock on wood.
02:52We're hoping that we continue seeing that.
02:54And of course, as they continue to work hard to guide us and be a part of that discussion,
02:58we have no stranger with us each and every Friday.
03:02We have ASP Russell here with us this evening.
03:04Good evening to you, sir.
03:05It's Friday.
03:08Good evening, Ms. Husbands.
03:10Good evening, Trinidad and Tobago.
03:13Grenada and to our international viewers on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, Deputy
03:17Commissioners, Assistant Commissioners, and First and Second Division Officers of the
03:21Trinidad and Tobago Police Service.
03:23Ms. Husbands, I listen to you thanking the officers for doing what they have to do.
03:30But I want to thank you public for being a law-abiding public because it goes both ways.
03:34So, you know, we are able to do what we have to do.
03:38And once they comply and they abide within the laws of the country, we will live in harmony.
03:44Which we want, right?
03:45Of course.
03:45And continuous trust.
03:47Of course.
03:47That needs to be built between us.
03:50Well, it's continuous trust building.
03:51Yes, yes.
03:52Comradery and partnership.
03:54Those are the pillars.
03:54Those are the words that we want.
03:56Not just to say, but to exercise it.
03:59Yes, yes.
04:00We won't always get right before we can go out there.
04:02I love how he gives the disclaimer quickly.
04:04You won't always get it right.
04:05But where we have offended or wronged you, we are willing to fix it.
04:11And we stand by ready and willing for correction, corrective measures.
04:16Yes.
04:17Do you earn someone's trust?
04:18Or is it that you allow them, you give them 100% trust, and then you see where that goes?
04:24If they could hold that 100% trust.
04:26Well, Ms. Osborne, it will depend on the dynamics of the thing, you know.
04:30So, I believe where the TTPS is concerned, we were in a position where we were trusted.
04:37And, yes, things happen because we are all human beings.
04:41And police officers come from the fabric of society.
04:44Correct.
04:44You know, so six months of training, regardless of how good it is, may not be enough to transform somebody
04:52that come in and enlisted into the organization for the wrong reasons.
04:58And it could be a different thing.
04:59It doesn't necessarily have to be to do anything illegal.
05:01It could just be coming into the job just for salary.
05:05So, you're coming to work, but what are we getting out of you, you know.
05:10So, and then there are those who will do other things.
05:13But I believe we are in a stage where I believe trust building is at the forefront of the police
05:21service.
05:22Yes.
05:22Maybe with personal relationships, you can decide if you choose to give your significant other or your partner, start them
05:29with 100% trust and see what they do.
05:32That's hard, isn't it?
05:32To reduce the trust, I don't know, I wouldn't know.
05:36I'm just saying it is harder to, you know, you start off with a, to maintain 100% trust with
05:42someone because we will always disappoint in some way or fashion, meaning human beings.
05:48Yeah.
05:49You know, we're not perfect, you know.
05:50So, that's what I'm asking.
05:52Is it that we're able to do the trust?
05:53My grades are, my grades are very low as it pertains to relationships, so.
05:57Very low.
06:00So, I will take your advice.
06:02I'll tell you about my TTPS.
06:03Yeah, yeah, yeah.
06:04Which I was here since the age of 18.
06:08And I'm somewhere in my 40s today, Trinidad and Tobago, don't do the math.
06:11Yeah, but you continue to earn the trust, you know.
06:13Definitely.
06:14That is a plus.
06:14And speaking of earning the trust, we're going to dive straight into what the TTPS is definitely doing and trying
06:19their hardest.
06:20Those hardworking police officers out there, that they're relentless when it comes to the criminal elements that are out there
06:26to distress us, that they find a way to stop it.
06:29Now, we're going to start off with the multi-agency where a cannabis suppression exercise destroys 2.5 million worth
06:35of illegal cannabis.
06:37Now, the continuation of a multi-agency illegal cannabis suppression exercise in the mountains of Wharf Trace, Maracas Valley, St.
06:45Joseph, within the Northern Division, St. Joseph Policing District, resulted in the destruction of illegal cannabis on Thursday, the 2nd
06:54of July, 2026.
06:56Now, the total of 9 illegal cannabis fields spanning approximately 9 lots of land or 0.459 acres containing approximately
07:068,048 fully grown cannabis trees, 1 camp and 300 seedlings with a total estimated weight of 365.8 kilos
07:18and an estimated street value of $2.5 million together with other equipment used for cultivation.
07:26of the illegal cannabis.
07:28We're destroyed by burning.
07:30I always wondered what you'll do with the cannabis and different drugs and you're seeing here what happens.
07:36We burn it, Ms. Husband.
07:37Yes.
07:37I stand here from a point where I have witnessed, I spent quite a bit of time in the Organized
07:43Crime and Narcotics units.
07:45Then it was renamed to Organized Crime, Narcotics and Firearms Bureau when we merged the OCN with the firearms units.
07:54So, we do burn it right there.
07:56Yes.
07:57And I want to always commend the officers on those types of exercises and of course, thank God for carrying
08:02them and bringing them back safely because when you go into that terrain there, one is the terrain.
08:08Yes.
08:08Two, there are snakes, there are scorpions.
08:11Six, six, six animals.
08:11Six, six animals.
08:11In addition to it, there are trap guns.
08:14Oh, free.
08:15Yes.
08:16People are trying to protect their product, their crop.
08:20And I have seen officers injured by way of trap guns.
08:23The risk that the police officers take on a daily basis is really, really, really, really,
08:30really a great risk.
08:31And I want to also thank the public for what I witnessed just now.
08:36I came down the highway, there was a speed exercise, and for the most part, most of the vehicles that
08:45were going in the opposite direction, they remained normal.
08:48There were only a few, about two or three, who were giving lights.
08:52No Christmas lights.
08:53So, I believe that the members of the public, they are getting the idea.
08:57Yes.
08:57And just by doing that, it would have shown your commitment and your ability to partner with us.
09:03Yes.
09:03Of course, that's very important.
09:05And speaking of, the TTPS continues to be on the streets.
09:11Boots on the ground, as we say.
09:12Boots on the ground.
09:13Two arrested in separate operations in Sangha Grande and Aruka.
09:16This is from the TTPS media release.
09:18Now, one person was arrested for possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking during an intelligence-led operation, Resolute,
09:27which is a Resolute Shield conducted by officers of the Eastern Division Task Force in the Sangha Grande District yesterday,
09:34while another person was arrested during a separate intelligence-led operation targeting the Trinidad and Tobago rideshare robbery ring in
09:42the Aruka Police Station District.
09:43Now, on Thursday the 2nd, July 2026, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., officers conducted surveillance over a
09:51period of time at a location along the southern Monroe, that is,
09:56which resulted in the arrest of a 48-year-old man for the offense of possession of cocaine for the
10:03purpose of trafficking.
10:04Officers say it's approximately 18 grams of cocaine.
10:09Yes.
10:09But I was asked if you will have exercises.
10:11We have a lot of exercises.
10:13And you recognize that it was geared specifically at the whole TT ride share issue,
10:18because we are seeing persons already luring these drivers who are going out here to make an honest dollar.
10:24They did their registration process, signed up for it to be our service provider with the TTRS,
10:30and for some reason some persons are hell-bent on luring these persons in an attempt to rob them and
10:37take away their vehicles and their valuables.
10:40And I'm happy to see that there's just a particular focus on that so that they now could realize that,
10:47you know what, we hear their cry, we feel their pain,
10:49and we have started to put systems in place that we could hold the persons responsible for these acts and
10:57place them before the court.
10:58Were you all able at any point in time to, you know, have a conversation with maybe the owners of
11:05a ride share company that could assist in protecting some of their drivers, or if not all?
11:10Well, not to mind knowing, but I know we are not to mind knowing, I have to say meeting with
11:16the owner of the company,
11:18but with the media ambassadors, we had a lot of public service announcements, and this whole topic of the safety
11:29for TT rideshare drivers,
11:31it was ventilated at length, and we continue to advise them as we see new trends popping up that may
11:39see them find themselves as victims.
11:42So a few weeks ago, we extensively, and when the media ambassadors have a topic, it's the topic for the
11:49week on all the stations, all the media houses that we go to on a weekly basis.
11:56I'm just hoping that, you know, persons who want to venture into this field, that they are not deterred and
12:02see it as a means of, you know,
12:04I put my life at risk by doing this, when they're trying to give us service to persons who really
12:11need it.
12:11Yeah, and it's a great service because it reduces the opportunities for persons to drink and drive under the influence.
12:19Yes, correct.
12:19You know, persons no longer have to ask to sleep by a friend when they go because they're living somewhere,
12:25where the chances of them getting a taxi at the wee hours of the morning is something that's near impossible.
12:30Correct.
12:31And I mean, it's a real, it's an excellent service.
12:34And I'm disappointed to see how the criminal elements have targeted these TT rideshare drivers, I must say.
12:41And I'm hoping to the TT rideshare drivers at the day and they learn from what they saw here.
12:45If it is that a person or persons book you for X destination and they come and say,
12:50well, you know, I want to take a quick detour here because I need to drop this.
12:53Well, I want to pick up something.
12:54Say no.
12:55Yeah, definitely.
12:55If they cancel, it's like a drop you off at your location and then you could do as you may
13:00after that.
13:01But I think that is one step that they could take because you just never know.
13:04You just never know.
13:05Because even if going to the set destination, persons could be waiting, but be vigilant, which is the most important
13:11thing.
13:12Right now, let's take a look at what's making our SOE update as of today, July 3rd, 2026.
13:18Number of operations, 8,790.
13:23Number of targets, priority offenders, 2,449.
13:27Searches conducted, 3,544.
13:30Traffic operations, 5,372.
13:34Total persons arrested, 3,930.
13:38Total persons charged, 951.
13:42Firearms recovered, we're seeing an increase in the pistols, giving us a total of 217.
13:48Ammunition recovered, we're seeing an increase with the 9mm, giving us a total of 3,903.
13:54And dangerous drug seized, we're seeing an increase once again with the cannabis and cocaine ASP.
14:00So we're seeing now the trend of the continuous movement between firearms, ammunition, and dangerous drugs.
14:08It picked back up.
14:09You know, for a few days we didn't have any firearm recovery.
14:13The ammunition was a bit lower.
14:15So, you know, we want to commend the officers and we ask that they continue to be diligent and continue
14:22to do their jobs to the best of their ability.
14:25Yes, it's important.
14:26To protect, conserve with pride, looking at professionalism, respect, integrity, dignity, and excellence.
14:33SB, do you see the smile that's on your face?
14:36It's always nice when you speak of your officers when they do a great job.
14:40I love my officers.
14:40And I hope, and I hope that the officers who tune in regularly see how you stand here and you
14:48also not just defend, but you also appreciate the hard work that they're doing.
14:52So for those of you who are there not doing what you're supposed to do and you know that your
14:57colleague is not doing that, pull them up.
15:00Of course.
15:00Let them listen.
15:01Straighten out.
15:01This is not right.
15:02You're not supposed to operate like that because you're going to shame the entire service.
15:06Just one bad apple, you know, spoils the whole bunch.
15:09And we definitely don't want that.
15:10But right now let's take a look at what's making today's headlines.
15:12Right now let's get started.
15:20Thank you very much.
15:22Let's get started.
15:23Thanks.
15:24Bye.
15:26Bye.
15:27Bye.
15:28Bye.
15:30Bye.
15:37Bye.
15:55And those are your stories making today's headlines.
15:57Remember, you can give us a call at 623-1711, extension 1996 and 1997.
16:03We'll be back.
16:39We'll be back.
16:42Berberine Plus, your heart deserves better.
16:47For the investigations that matter most to TNT, turn to the team you trust.
16:51The TV6 News, we do the work to uncover the facts, ask the important questions, and report on the issues
16:57that impact your community and the nation at large.
17:00This is more than just news.
17:02It's accountability, the undisputed number one program in Trinidad and Tobago, delivering the hard-hitting investigations you rely on.
17:09The TV6 News, revealing facts, provoking opinions.
17:16On June 11, 2026, we saw the handing over of four ambulances to the Trinidad and Tobago Fire Service, another
17:24initiative of the Honourable Kamala Passat-Bissessa, SCMP.
17:35I am happy today as we are handing over these four ambulances to the Trinidad and Tobago Fire Service.
17:42This ambulance has been parked up for over three years, others for closer to a year.
17:50So I want to thank the VAMCOR team for the tireless efforts in making this happen.
17:55This is all about giving back service to members of the public.
18:01It's about providing that service, that missing link.
18:04We are able to fill that void.
18:06So now an additional four ambulances can go back onto the nation's streets and service the people.
18:15That is what we are about.
18:17I want to say this evening, the Trinidad and Tobago Fire Service is very happy to receive these four ambulances.
18:22We would like to say thank you to the Ministers, Sir Zacho, Sir Alexander.
18:28I want to say thank you to the VAMCOR team for working in our city to get these vehicles back
18:34on the run.
18:35I want to say thank you to my Brigade Engineer, Mr. Allen, for his dedication and stick to it to
18:41get the job done.
18:46We both want to thank the Honourable Prime Minister, Ms. Kamala Passat-Bissessa.
19:10This was a production of the Information Division, Office of the Prime Minister.
19:26And we are back.
19:27If you're not joining us, of course, we have ASP Russell here representing the TTPS,
19:31a gentleman who's always willing to guide us accordingly and help us throughout, you know,
19:36what we are witnessing and experiencing with the criminal activities that's happening in Trinidad and Tobago.
19:41Now, with the TTPS, our commendation ceremony took place today.
19:45Today, yes.
19:46Today.
19:47Yes.
19:48Tell us a little bit about what to do.
19:49Well, Ms. Husbands, the commissioner, you know, we have to find innovative ways to motivate our officers,
19:54especially because you know officers have been going relentlessly without stopping Carnival Christmas,
20:00SOE, SOE, SOE, SOE, Carnival, and going back into Christmas, the Carnival again.
20:05And it's a short Carnival season.
20:07So we need to recognize these officers for dedication to duty, exemplary service going beyond the call.
20:14There were officers who were given recognition today for their initiative in launching community-based programs
20:22to really, you know, reduce crime in neighborhoods and bring the youth together.
20:27So it was different officers, officers from the Anti-Kidnapping Unit, the Home Invasion Team,
20:34the Anti-Extortion Team, CID, Court and Process, various divisions, Northern, Northeastern,
20:42Southern, Southwestern, Western Division.
20:45The officers from all over, you know, were recognized today for their dedication to duty,
20:52the exemplary service, their dedication to attending.
20:56Just come, just being present.
20:58Yeah.
20:59And working hard.
21:00I want to say thank you again to the commissioner and his executive.
21:04Thank you to the president of the association,
21:07the Central Public Police Service, Social and Welfare Association, Mr. Ishmael Pitt,
21:11who made himself available and he did not run away.
21:14He was present.
21:15He was present.
21:16So with that being said, let's take a look.
21:27Our most valuable resource is that of our human resource.
21:33And recognition is key to improving morale and serving as a level of motivation.
21:44We know at this point in time, the demands on our organization is very heavy.
21:53And for that reason, as individual police officers, it could take a toll on us.
22:04In order to balance that and for us to remain committed, dedicated, and motivated, recognition must be present.
22:18Without you, without you, without your presence, adorning this uniform on a daily basis and coming out to serve the
22:26public that we serve,
22:30this place will be on chaos.
22:32This place will be on chaos.
22:34Lawlessness will reign supreme.
22:37And we are the vanguard of democracy in this country.
22:43And if we, as the executive of the Toronto Police Service, cannot recognize your hard work, then something wrong.
22:51We have lost the battle.
22:54Everyone plays an important role in the machinery of the TTPS.
23:01No matter what small part you feel you may be playing, it is recognized by the people who sit on
23:11this side of the table.
23:11So, on behalf of myself and the entire executive of the Toronto Police Service, our attitude of gratitude this morning
23:19is to recognize you for your hard work,
23:22for your professionalism, and for the manner in which you have delivered customer service to the citizens of Toronto and
23:32Tobago.
23:33Today has been a profound reminder of why we chose this path.
23:40I think I speak on behalf of everyone when I say that we do this job not for thanks or
23:46for recognition,
23:47but because we love the service that we provide and our day-to-day jobs.
23:53I see in the eyes of everyone here the same drive and motivation and fire that is inside me reflected.
24:01And I just want to say that I am grateful that we can get this recognition as a reminder and
24:08as a fuel to keep us going,
24:11even though I know that none of us here needs it.
24:27I have to do it.
24:29Round of applause.
24:30Wait for the camera to come back properly.
24:31Now, wait.
24:32Round of applause.
24:33Guys will be safe.
24:34Yes, man.
24:35Well done to the officers.
24:36And I want to say to the others, notwithstanding that they may have had one day or two days here,
24:43you know, they may not have been recognized today, but the organization recognizes you as well
24:48because according to the president, it's like football.
24:53One team.
24:55When one person do wrong, we all take the blame.
24:58Well, when we get the victory, the whole organization celebrates.
25:04So, we need each other.
25:06Every section, every division, every branch, every officer, you are needed, you are respected,
25:11you are loved, and we appreciate you.
25:13All right.
25:14We have a call on the line.
25:15Caller, good evening.
25:18Hello?
25:21Hello?
25:22Good evening.
25:25I'm not sure you are.
25:28Remember, you all could give us a call at 623-1711, extension 1996 or 1997.
25:35Caller, good evening.
25:37I'm glad to be a minister.
25:38Hi.
25:39Good evening.
25:40Good evening, sir.
25:43Good evening.
25:44Minister, officer.
25:46Yes, sir.
25:47Let me brief a short paragraph here.
25:52Your homeland security minister is not strictly bombed.
25:57I've been warned.
25:58I have been asking for five, and so on the authority to reject the recommendation.
26:03That is what?
26:05The other one.
26:06Under this important paragraph here, the review of the United States is not limited to making
26:12a recommendation based on the validity of the president can transfer. The minister can
26:21lawfully maintain the administration's order. The next section is the I-Code for you. So
26:31I was just trying to, because of you, you and my responsibility, this minister is
26:38to be a leader. And not to concentrate what it is, but our responsibility is to go into the actual
26:47document and to go to sex.
26:49I would just say all.
26:51Thank you, caller. Yes, sir.
26:54Nobody call a call with information. Yes. Yes. And I respect the caller and the caller's information.
26:59I too will also go back into the documentation and I will give it another read and I will tell
27:05you on Tuesday
27:07whether my interpretation is the same, I concur or I disagree. So we'll wait and see?
27:13So we'll wait and see. All right. Remember, you can give us a call at 623-1711, extension 1996 and
27:201997.
27:21We'll take that break. We'll be back.
27:29DCP, sir, how it went? 5K? I run 73 5K ready, sir. I born ready. Let's do this 5K thing.
27:37So guys, this is my first ever 5K. The TTPS Cancer Survive Patient Support Group having their 5th annual 5K
27:45slash 7K run.
27:50On the 5th of July, people.
27:52On the 5th of July, people.
27:53On the 5th of July, people.

30:07And we're back
30:08Remember you could give us a call
30:10At 623-1711 extension
30:121996 and 1997
30:14Now, we are seeing something
30:17And that is very interesting
30:19Where we see police vehicles
30:21Escorting a certain vehicle
30:23And the speed in which
30:24They're moving out here
30:25It's concerning
30:28Is this okay to do?
30:30You're seeing the police vehicle
30:31And then the vehicle
30:34That is behind the police vehicle
30:37Well, the officers are doing an escort
30:40I know they have a particular time
30:43To reach by the forensics
30:44I know their particular windows and gaps
30:47Because only a certain amount
30:48Of post-mortems are done per day
30:50I know there are also families
30:52Of the loved ones who are waiting
30:54Because they cannot really put
30:56Funeral arrangements in place
30:58Right
30:58To move on
31:00And to move on properly
31:01To have closure
31:03Until that forensic
31:06Scientific aspect of it
31:07Has been completed
31:09Okay
31:09Yeah
31:10So this is a customary thing
31:11It's a customary thing
31:12Okay
31:13Understood
31:13But with the sirens blaring
31:16Everything is fine
31:16Well, if we're doing an escort
31:18We're doing an escort
31:18Miss Husbands
31:19No, no
31:20I'm just asking
31:20Yeah
31:21You know
31:21Because the public will just
31:22Run with certain assumptions
31:24Of, you know
31:25Why we'll have to have this noise
31:26And move in
31:27Cutting through traffic
31:28Like that
31:29And is it that important
31:30There were times
31:31I used to think the same thing
31:32Because I was
31:33Posting already
31:34You know
31:34They were already deceased
31:35Yes
31:36What hurry could they be in
31:37And then you understand
31:38The operations
31:39Of how the forensic science
31:41And then you have
31:42More appreciation
31:44For it
31:45That's also for evidence
31:46Purposes as well
31:47As well
31:47You want to get it there
31:49As quickly as possible
31:50So that the pathologist
31:51Could do his or her thing
31:52Remember too
31:53There are some
31:54Murders
31:54Happened throughout the country
31:57Somebody's coming from
31:58As far as south
31:59Yeah
32:00South western
32:02Xandy Grandy
32:03Yeah
32:04You know
32:05So
32:06That's why you're here
32:06You need to ask
32:07I know
32:07I know that
32:08I mean
32:08And I tell you
32:10From where I stand
32:11Here today
32:12I too had a problem
32:14With it
32:14Until I understood
32:15Exactly
32:15What it is
32:15We have a caller
32:16On the line caller
32:17Good evening
32:18Good evening
32:19Good evening
32:21Mama
32:21How are you
32:22Good evening
32:22Good evening
32:27Good evening
32:27Good evening
32:50Mum
32:50I met you last week
32:51being treated and being different. I appreciate it a lot. And also, I always like to meet the
32:58commissioner. He is going through a lot. He said, okay, I'm not dying in this country,
33:04you're not going to have a tour. But see what? Go on the road move. So if you want to
33:10continue,
33:11we just need to complement one another every day. It is getting harder and harder worldwide.
33:17Otherwise, it is getting hard. But keep the faith with God and everything won't have to be safe,
33:24because you're talking about it. But if you want to boil your life about you, you don't want to boil
33:30your body.
33:31We have no heat here in this country, much less. So what do you want to do all the time?
33:39Thank you. Yes, ma'am.
33:41Thank you, Kuala. ASPA, I am hoping hopefully we can get the commissioner here one evening.
33:47It will be nice. Of course, I mean, and I know you know how to contact the commissioner as well,
33:53Ms. Husband. So you feel free. I can make way for the commissioner anytime.
33:58Yes. It will be at evening off. So you could start it.
34:02It will be an invitation. I would let him know that you will require his presence here.
34:08And I'm certain he will take time out of his busy schedule to grace TV6, Ms. Husband's,
34:15and the population of Trinidad and Tobago, and our international viewers with his presence on the set.
34:21I think they will like that. Our audience definitely will. We have another caller.
34:24Caller, good evening.
34:27Hello. Hello, good evening.
34:29Hi, good evening.
34:31Good evening, caller.
34:34Good evening, sir.
34:35Are you here?
34:36Yes, sir. Loud and clear.
34:39I want to congratulate the commissioner of police this evening. That commissioner of police,
34:48one year's job at that commissioner of police, is working,
34:54is putting a very hard in bringing crime, door, and criminality in Trinidad and Tobago.
35:00I felt in this afternoon on the 3rd day of July, 2026. He has come on a barricade commissioner for
35:11doing the right thing. As I said on the next program from the last week, he is working in a
35:19fair chance for political security. And I want to congratulate him for even taking action against
35:29the commissioner of police. So, I don't know what I was going to say. They attacked the commissioner,
35:36left, right at the center, saying, some patch on the shoulder. They are attacking for that
35:42service. And I am saying, go, bravo. You are one of the best commissioner. You just don't talk
35:52much. But get here. You're one of the best. I salute you. I salute you, sir. And I am
35:58very proud of you. You report the governor. And the safety governor. And all the men of the
36:03church of the very police, sir, support the commissioner. You can't be means good,
36:09but it's just and really good in the sector. But sure, that has to be good. Thank you for
36:13going to share a really funny afternoon. Thank you. Thank you so much, Kola. Thank you, Kola.
36:18I mean, and I mean, I want to just, you know, we have seen the launch of a home invasion
36:23team,
36:24anti-extortion team. We have seen new community initiative. We have seen the introduction of
36:29electric vehicles. We have seen the active directive patrol. We have seen the commissioner being out
36:35there together with his executive. We have seen officers being commended and the association.
36:42We also have a very good open communication with the commissioner as well. He listens,
36:48he takes advice, shares his views and his sentiments. And we do discuss a lot of things. Yeah. And
36:56of course, when it comes to commending the commissioner, I mean,
37:00being in this position, Ms. Housebonds, I have a new respect just for that office of that commissioner.
37:09It is a thankless job. It's a job where your sacrifice is, it's a lot. And it's a job where
37:18you need
37:20the presence of God or some spiritual being in your life. Because it has some days and this public,
37:25when you're done, they love to kick you. Yeah. You know, so I want to also commend the commissioner.
37:34And, you know, I hope that God continues to bless him and keep him as and the executive for
37:38Richard and Tobago police service. We appreciate his leadership. And to the men and women below,
37:45especially constable rank, the corporate rank, the sergeant rank, the frontline officers,
37:52we need and we depend on you. I hope they understand that. Yeah. They are very important.
37:58Of course. So, apart from making the commissioner and your batch, as you all say. Batches. Batches.
38:06Proud. Make sure that you make the citizens proud, including yourself, because the uniform that you wear is
38:12something that you need to understand that it is a lot that comes with uniform. And the responsibility
38:17that is attached to uniform, it's something that you should not take for granted. All right.
38:22We need to take that short break. And when we come back, we will continue with more.
38:25All right, guys. Today, we're going to start a new topic. And that topic is entitled...
38:30All right, guys.
38:41There is no way I could teach in all that noise. And there is definitely no way we children could
38:48learn
38:49in that noise of violence. They deserve more. That fear, that anxiety. We have to have our classrooms
38:58filled with joy, laughter, and hope, not fear. That is why I support the TCPS School Oriented Policing Initiative.
39:08This is not just about law enforcement. It's about building trust. Parents, teachers, students,
39:16and officers all coming together to provide a safe space where young minds can flourish. If we all stand side
39:27by side,
39:28we can protect our children, keep them safe, and they could have a space to learn without anxiety and fear.
39:38I am ready to partner with the TCPS in fostering safe, respectful, and empowered schools across Trinidad and Tobago.
39:49It's not a simple task. We need parents, students, teachers, and communities to get involved. It's time to get on
39:59board.
39:59Securing our schools. Securing our future.
