03:26Good evening, Trinidad and Tobago International audience.
03:29And of course, our brothers and sisters in Grenada.
03:32First of all, I would like to send some amazing greetings to a young man and a young lady who
03:38excelled in their CSEC.
03:40And let's just say we're seeing nine ones across the board.
03:43First, we start off with Malik Shabadi and he is the son of Derek Shabadi.
03:47And we'd like to congratulate Malik for a job well done.
03:50Also, with a lovely lady who represents in the industry of the camera crews.
03:56We have a camera woman whose daughter, which is Melina Patrick.
04:00She also received nine ones as well.
04:03So congratulations to these amazing young people who continue to excel.
04:08And of course, our family members who continue to pump the love and support that is needed there.
04:13Now, I'm hoping that persons had a better day today.
04:16After yesterday, we saw the major rainfalls that took place in the Port of Spain area, downtown Port of Spain
04:23and Goodwood as well.
04:25This is something that, I mean, yesterday was really disturbing for many persons, the inconvenience, the amount of rainfall.
04:33And it is clear that it only happened in the Port of Spain, which is downtown Port of Spain area
04:39and Goodwood Park area at that.
04:42All right.
04:43So, I mean, I'm hoping that other areas, you all are fine today.
04:46You all are dry.
04:47And today's Tuesday.
04:49So on the Tuesday, the Tuesday, the Friday, the gentleman that has been missing in action for a while is
04:55back.
04:57ASP Russell.
04:58Good evening to you, sir.
04:59And welcome back.
05:01Welcome back.
05:02Welcome back.
05:03Welcome back.
05:04Welcome back.
05:06Smiling.
05:06Good evening, Miss Husbands.
05:07Good evening, Trinidad and Tobago, Grenada.
05:10And our international viewers on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, Deputy Commissioners, Assistant Commissioners, and First and Second Division
05:17Officers of the.
05:18Esteem.
05:19Trinidad and Tobago Police Service.
05:20I have us to coach Marlon with respect to the esteem when you weren't here.
05:25Yes.
05:26But they're still cooking.
05:27You remember what to do?
05:28Well, well, I mean, you know.
05:31It seems like they didn't want to come back at all.
05:32Well, Miss Husbands, sometimes you have to take a little, you know, a little break from things from time to
05:39time.
05:41You know, your mental health is very, very important.
05:44Yes.
05:44Definitely.
05:45I, you know, found myself in a position where I was running quite a bit hard because I knew other
05:49things outside of the police service in addition to this.
05:53And, you know, I just felt like I needed so much of a break.
05:56Well deserved, though, but you were missing.
05:59I'm happy that I was missed.
06:00I feel special and I feel important.
06:02Yes.
06:02There were some callers who, those who were fortunate and have a contact number for me, they reached out to
06:07make sure I was okay.
06:08I blushed a little bit.
06:11A driver stopped me and he said to tell Miss Husbands, hello.
06:15He said he look at us online.
06:17Yes.
06:18Every day.
06:18I think his name is Marvin.
06:20Mm-hmm.
06:20Just stopped in the middle of that.
06:21He went, hey, look, man.
06:23I like that.
06:24Hey, look, man.
06:24Yes.
06:24So you ready for licks?
06:26Well, I am here, Trinidad and Tobago.
06:29You know when we are wrong, I claim our wrongs.
06:31I know that there are some issues that we are facing that we need to treat with.
06:38Mm-hmm.
06:41But as the TTPS, we will not let you down.
06:44We will treat with it.
06:45Well, let's dive straight into it.
06:47It's like you never left, right?
06:50Well, I wouldn't want to say so, you know, but I'm here.
06:54Yeah.
06:55Yeah, I'm here.
06:56Okay.
06:56Now, we're going back to last week.
06:58Now, last week we saw...
06:59Why are we going back?
06:59What's that?
07:00We have to go back a little bit.
07:01Okay.
07:02You weren't here.
07:03So we need to go back just to refresh your memory just a little bit.
07:06Is that okay?
07:07All right, Miss Husbands.
07:08I'm following instructions here now.
07:09Jackie.
07:10Hi, Jackie.
07:10Of course.
07:11That's the boss lady.
07:12Wow.
07:12Yeah.
07:13So we're going back just a little bit.
07:14There's a white extra here and this here was one where a person is still trying to
07:19figure out what really transpired here.
07:21So let's take a look at this here quickly.
07:22Exactly.
07:23Now, we saw this.
07:25This vehicle actually was trending a lot last week.
07:29I saw it with the one, especially what he did to the female, where the female has
07:33to make a call.
07:33Yes.
07:34Yes.
07:35And at that point in time, we asked DCP Benjamin in regards to what persons could
07:41have done.
07:41And of course, the first thing they would say is to call the TTPS as quickly as possible
07:46to try to intervene and not step in because you just don't know what the person's intentions
07:51may have been.
07:53But your thoughts.
07:54Well, when I saw it, I was totally puzzled, amazed, upset at all at the same time.
08:01I found it really, really wicked for want of a better word because I am certain that that
08:10particular driver does not want anybody to do his family that.
08:13No.
08:13And it goes to show that we are still in an environment where we choose to treat others
08:17how we don't want to be treated.
08:19I was very, very upset and I hope that we do the proper investigations.
08:24I was hoping by now he would have been in custody or at least been taken in for questioning
08:29whether he or male or female.
08:32But I don't have any update per se as to whether they were able to intercept.
08:38But I mean, the vehicle is there, provided that it's a correct number plate.
08:41I think it's just what will go in the database and do the necessary investigations.
08:45I hope that we have an update for you all, pretty soon with respect to that situation
08:49because it's quite disturbing this hospital.
08:51Well, I'm sure we will get a positive update because we have not seen the vehicle trending
08:56on social media thus far.
08:58Thus far.
08:58Yeah?
08:59Also, we have some information and this is from the Trinidad Express driver shot in Road
09:05Ridge incident in Toco.
09:07Now, a man was grazed in the head by a bullet after a dispute following a traffic collision
09:12escalated into gunfire along the parallel main road in Toco.
09:16Now, the incident occurred at about 10.30 p.m. on Sunday as a victim was driving west along the
09:23roadway
09:24on San Sousi with four passengers.
09:27Police said the vehicle was involved in a collision with another car traveling in the opposite direction.
09:34The collision damaged the victim's right side wing mirror and door panel.
09:39Both vehicles stopped and the driver and one of his passengers exited to speak with the other motorist.
09:46Police were told that the other driver said he would retrieve money to compensate them for the damage
09:52but instead drove away.
09:54The victims followed the vehicle and later found it parked along George Street near the bridge.
10:00As they stopped nearby, one of the passengers exited their vehicle.
10:04Police said the other driver then emerged from his car and deliberately fired a shot.
10:10The passenger reportedly ran back into the vehicle and instructed the driver to leave immediately.
10:16As the victims drove away, the suspect allegedly fired two more shots at the moving vehicle.
10:21One bullet shattered the rear windshield while another penetrated the cabin and grazed the driver's head, causing a bleeding injury.
10:31The passenger subsequently took control of the vehicle and drove to the Toco police station where a report was made.
10:37Police said the suspect described as a dark, excuse me, complexion, strongly built man about 5 feet 11 inches tall
10:46with a short beard and wearing a vest was detained during a joint operation involving officers from the Toco and
10:53Matlot police station.
10:54The two scenes were processed and two spent shells were recovered.
10:59Well, I'm happy that someone was taken into custody.
11:04You know, and that's why we tell persons, you know, as quickly as possible contact the police, especially in that
11:08case that you would have seen earlier because look at this.
11:11Yes.
11:11This was not a firearm.
11:13And not only had a firearm, he didn't intimidate, he used the firearm.
11:18Yes.
11:19Shot in their direction.
11:20And I tell people, you know, when accidents happen, I know you'd be disappointed, especially if you were the person
11:26that, you know, you are the party that were right.
11:31Let cooler heads prevail.
11:33Call the police immediately so that the police could come to the scene before it escalates because I always tell
11:37persons, you could die right.
11:40Yes.
11:41Now, more road rage, but this is not in Trinidad and Tobago.
11:44This is one of our brothers or sisters in the other islands.
11:47And this is how far road rage could take an individual.
11:50And this, again, was circulating on social media, ASP and the gentleman, like he just didn't want him to cut
11:58in.
12:00And he got upset.
12:02And this happened.
12:09You were so angry.
12:11You were so angry.
12:12You were so angry.
12:12Yeah.
12:13To purposefully cause an accident.
12:16Right.
12:17And then look.
12:17So if the person had a firearm now.
12:22Look how we're getting on.
12:29Isn't this a form of assault?
12:30Of course it is, Miss Husbands.
12:32It is indeed assault.
12:33And we have a charge.
12:35They call it reckless driving, dangerous and reckless driving as well.
12:38So he could face a multitude of charges with respect to his behavior.
12:44So what did the victim could have done in this situation here?
12:48Well, what I would advise the victim, clearly, is to go and make a report.
12:52You can hit the Marbellas.
12:55Take note of the registration number of the vehicle and go to the station.
13:00I would want to not have the victim hit the Marbellas.
13:03But in the personal space.
13:05Yes, Miss Husbands.
13:07Yes, hear me out here.
13:08Just hear me out a little bit.
13:09If I have my child in the car, you come up now in my...
13:13He should have not whined on the window.
13:15That is what he should have done.
13:17Not whined on the window.
13:18Okay.
13:18I mean, he couldn't drive off because the car clearly blocked him.
13:22Or now I have my window up and I am calling the police.
13:26I wonder how this person is feeling now.
13:29Because this is such a stupid act.
13:30It doesn't even make sense, yeah?
13:31Stupid act.
13:32You're so mad because you didn't get a blight.
13:34But you're still in the wrong lane.
13:36And he's even further delayed because you come out to quarrel having caused an accident.
13:41You're in the wrong lane.
13:43He really gets on like Pac, like Pac-Man.
13:47No?
13:48But he's not so sensible.
13:49That's how he...
13:50Clearly.
13:50But now you inconvenience the person with the vehicle.
13:55And then persons are so angry, people go into it, you know.
13:59Not saying in this situation...
14:00But it's just doing human beings right now.
14:03And what I want to...
14:04There's something we call the amygdala hijack.
14:07And as much as we are going through it, yeah?
14:10There are a lot of things taking place out there.
14:13There are persons who are investing in properties and then what they thought they would have purchased
14:18is not what they really got.
14:19There are persons who would have purchased vehicles and, you know, they get scammed six for nine.
14:25But we are asking persons to try and maintain and level head and come to the relevant authorities
14:30and report these things.
14:32Because let's say it happened to you.
14:34Somebody scams you.
14:35And you decide, I'm not taking that scam.
14:37And you go there.
14:38You might go to oppose the person.
14:40The person might get up a hand.
14:41Instead of you beating them, them beat you instead.
14:43Oh, God.
14:44So you're worse off.
14:46Or you go there and you attack them unprovoked.
14:51And then while the person owes you some money, you are now a defendant in the court facing an assault
14:57charge for that same person.
14:59So here is the person telling you, well, the money I have faith.
15:02You write it off.
15:03I'll drop the charges.
15:05Did you win?
15:06No.
15:07But back to that, could I use pepper spray?
15:11Yeah.
15:11I mean, if you feel threatened enough here and you could justify the use of it, why not?
15:14Because you came to the, you're cutting you off.
15:16I mean, of course, you would be able to assume enough fear and stuff like that.
15:20So that's equal force.
15:21Yeah.
15:21A pepper spray would work in a situation like that.
15:23No, you cannot take out a fireman and kill him.
15:25So let me just put that out there.
15:27A pepper spray would work in that situation.
15:29Yeah.
15:29Because the person didn't have.
15:31But if you have a permit.
15:32For the pepper spray?
15:33For the pepper spray.
15:34Well, once you have a pepper spray and hope that you have a permit, you have to have
15:38a permit for pepper spray.
15:40What is, why are you?
15:41It's $50.
15:43Follow the process.
15:43It's $50.
15:45You know the process of processing in Trinidad and Tobago takes some time.
15:49You have to expedite that.
15:51So how much to expedite the pepper spray?
15:53What are you asking about the people on MTV?
15:56How much to, listen.
15:57It's $50.
15:58And how long does it take to get the permit?
16:00Is it immediate after I pay the $50, I get the permit for Target 1 purchase?
16:04Or do I have to wait?
16:05I cannot say how long, but I know it's $50 and there's an application.
16:08You could go onto the TTPS website, www.ttps.gov.tt, and we would take you through.
16:14We are online now.
16:15Yes, we up the technology, so we are online now.
16:18Go.
16:18Go there and you go in.
16:19Online usually has a glitch because the FUL that your applicants, they say they're having
16:25problems, so far less the pepper spray.
16:27Well, of course, with everything, there are some teething problems that you would find
16:31from time to time as husbands, but follow the process.
16:34And do not.
16:35I wish I had a violin.
16:36Do not pay to expedite anything Trinidad and Tobago, please and thank you.
16:41We will appreciate that.
16:42Do not encourage that.
16:43Yeah.
16:44Yeah.
16:45You have jokes today.
16:46Yeah, yeah.
16:46Happy I'm back.
16:47You have jokes.
16:47Yeah.
16:48All right, guys.
16:49It's time for us to move into our SOE update for today.
16:52Let's take a look at what's making our SOE update as August 18th, 2026.
16:57Number of operations, 11,793.
17:00Number of target priority offenders, 3,007.
17:04Searches conducted, 4,212.
17:07Traffic operations, 7,256.
17:11Total persons arrested, 5,184.
17:15Total persons charged, 1,239.
17:19Firearms recovered.
17:20I know ASP will be pleased about this.
17:22We're seeing increase with the pistols, revolvers, and other types of firearms, giving us a total
17:27of 290.
17:29And ammunition recovered.
17:30We're seeing an increase with the 12 gauge, also the 0.38, and the 0.45, giving us a total
17:37of 5,857.
17:40And dangerous drug seized.
17:42We're seeing an increase.
17:43Again, this is not surprising.
17:45The cannabis, cocaine, and back in the conversation.
17:48We're seeing ecstasy and also the grams of methamphetamine.
17:54We are seeing ASP.
17:55We are seeing some high-end stuff, man.
17:57Wow.
17:57The pallet change for the drugs.
17:59The cocktails have changed.
18:00There are a lot of increases there.
18:03Firearms, ammunition.
18:03Isn't it because it's August?
18:06Vacation.
18:07It's pump time now.
18:08Well, I would want to say yes, but then that also points to a more disturbing issue.
18:15Because if you're saying that it's because it's August, who's on vacation?
18:19Your children and some parents.
18:21Okay.
18:22Yeah.
18:22And I saw also, as well, with regards to it in our newsroom, in I-95, they spoke about
18:29Lean being back in the mix here in Trinidad and Tobago.
18:33And the parents really need to pay attention to that because they're mixing these items
18:38and they're popping the molly.
18:40So they see the molly popped up.
18:41Yeah.
18:41So we realize that is now a finale.
18:44I think probably we need to have some public service announcement, especially where the
18:48vacation period is here.
18:50I'm going to say it properly for those who are watching.
18:53You know, it is really something that we need to really educate our children on so that
18:59they could understand the dangers of these so-called quote-unquote party drugs.
19:04You know, some persons talk about it's not something that can get you addicted.
19:08Yes, it can get you addicted.
19:09Some of them even open up to something looking for a greater high and stuff like that.
19:14Even as simple as marijuana.
19:16Marijuana is also considered a drug that sometimes you-
19:19A gateway?
19:19Yeah, gateway drug that you want.
19:21Don't say that.
19:21That's it.
19:22You know, the people who see that as the herb of the land are going to tell you otherwise.
19:27My husbands, and I respect everybody's opinion, you know.
19:30I respect everybody's opinion.
19:32But I am saying for me and for my loved ones, I would not want, and I too was young.
19:39I would have, you know, grew up in La Vente.
19:43And I too would have partake in the herb.
19:46But I'm telling you it's nothing healthy for you.
19:49Yeah.
19:50It is nothing healthy for you.
19:54And even if you look at the medicinal purposes, it's a prescription that determines how much
20:01is fit for consumption at any given time.
20:03And the strain that is also very important.
20:06That is also because I'll tell you something.
20:06It's grown.
20:07Yeah.
20:07And anything that you smoke into your lungs will be dangerous.
20:11Come on.
20:11So the consumption of the medicinal marijuana, it's also, you have to drink it, or it's
20:18an oil.
20:19It's placed in ways for you to consume, not to smoke.
20:22Not to smoke.
20:23Yeah.
20:24Because of the smoke.
20:25Another issue we had is that, and even way back when, a couple of years ago when I
20:28was working in the Organized Criminal Cortex and Fire and Pro, there were instances where
20:32persons would lace the marijuana with cocaine.
20:35Oh, yeah.
20:36What they call that?
20:37Black?
20:37Yeah.
20:37To give you that ultimate high.
20:41Stupid high.
20:41So we need to be careful.
20:43I've known persons who would have gotten some really terrible feeling after indulging in
20:51marijuana muffins, let's call them.
20:53Or edibles.
20:54The edibles and stuff like that.
20:55Yeah.
20:56I've known persons who have had nightmare with respect to those things.
20:58I think also to the parents, if you know your children, do, when I say children, adult
21:05children, yes, those young adults who are over 18, indulge in the edibles.
21:11Be careful because they come in the gummy, brownie, cornflakes, candies.
21:17Yeah.
21:18So you think education needs to get some sugar in my system.
21:22I'll take a gummy.
21:24More than likely it has some sort of marijuana in that as well.
21:28So this is something that parents also, we ask you, please pay attention to those things.
21:32If you see your children indulging a lot into those and they want more brownies than usual,

38:43nineteen ninety six or nineteen ninety seven we have a caller caller good evening
38:48yes good afternoon hi good evening good evening caller
38:50yes good afternoon what does frank expect to talk about seminar or do you call it his master
38:57every time i go on that show lecture lecture lecture lecture lecture lecture lecture lecture lecture
39:02gentlemen be apple so she's breaking in breaking it and what i don't want to respect to me is that
39:09i don't want to
39:09respect to the story of the company people be driving close behind almost every single day
39:16yeah
39:16there's some kind of madness on you that's telling you i did not listen to giving them advice but it's
39:22it's one of the best you understand this is madness and i'm very uncomfortable
39:33i could so miss husbands i can hear the stress what he's saying when i'm driving close that bump
39:40gets me very nervous and he touched on an important point that situation at piaco
39:46miss husbands i was going somewhere sunday i was going to an event
39:54the traffic light change and cars that heading east to turn to go yes to the airport itself five six
40:04cars after the red light you know well i always say our light to head west of order spain is
40:11green
40:12full green yeah you have to wait a few seconds becoming man no that's more than a second miss husband
40:16i said a few seconds more than a few seconds about a minute a minute five to six vehicles they
40:22just
40:22come in they're late for the flight to get them to stop somebody at the drive off as if they're
40:28going
40:28to bounce into them and that's when he puts on the other side stop so people just i i understand
40:34exactly what that's all i say because i've witnessed it on many occasions but what about the riding
40:39or the bumper i don't like that why are you too close maybe we need to have some more what
40:46you know with
40:46respect to the driving yeah yeah it's not carnival because you're supposed to stay with the three
40:52car lengths yeah away and even more so when it starts stirring no i don't like it it's really
40:59disturbing it's a way in which it seems like the the way we drive we need to be close and
41:04it's not
41:04just by the bumper but side to side when we're driving oh we pull up and up to our lights
41:10we're so close
41:11to each other i know the lanes are not that big but come on it what i do when i
41:16see persons driving
41:17like that behind me i go in the other lane they could only be late once yes yeah i go
41:23in the other
41:24lane and i let them pass yes please please pass you go ahead yeah you go ahead because you i
41:30mean the
41:31potter goal down the road is waiting for you and sometimes they made them by the same light yeah i
41:35know
41:35it's always the always you always do all right we just have some information for republic for persons

42:17mrs monton i like how you touched on that part you know see how some of the officers have been
42:21behaving
42:22because we know police officers come from new society and at times we do and at times we do behave
42:28like
42:29we have no customer service at all so i like how you emphasize that part um so there are a
42:34lot of
42:34benefits to attending these talk meetings and when you go there let your voices be heard and if you
42:39want to pass information you know you and you don't want to say they're allowed in front of everyone
42:44you can you know pick out an officer you trust or go to one of the senior officers um at
42:50the head
42:50table and exchange numbers with them and give them the information so that they could disseminate
42:55the information to have it acted upon yes so it's our it's your opportunity to say how you want to
43:00be policed all right we have another call caller good evening
43:05uh mr oi oi oi oi oi okay i just want to say two comments you want to have here
43:15this is unnecessary
43:21i have been at the gym and that's it but one thing i feel like that's like i feel like
43:29it's not
43:38okay thank you yeah that that that light there's and you know maybe we need to place but then you
43:45know maybe we need to place the police on the shoulder by trying cut this just usually a police
43:51vehicle on the left as you cross the the lights where the ice factory is the fact that that factory
43:56had a fire recently and there's usually a police vehicle there on the side of the roadway i mean we
44:02want to place the vehicle out of the harm of motorists who may want to who may look down on
44:07the phone
44:07and run into the police vehicle but it means that we may now have to uh redeploy that vehicle and
44:12have
44:12them in a spot where they are more visible to curb the behaviors of these errant drivers i i i
44:19don't
44:19understand well i know you're moving forward with technology so hopefully we will see where we
44:23can get those street cameras up and somebody to say no tickets no tickets we need to take that break

47:00and we are on board with the ttps in its fight against crime i'm a farmer this is my country
47:06and i'm
47:07on board i'm charles jason gordon the roman catholic archbishop of port of spain i am on board in the
47:14ttps fight against crime we are all on board
47:35and we are back now asp you mentioned earlier the european incident and this is what i was speaking
47:42of for persons who may also not be sure this is what took place and this is in the area
47:47of the youth
47:48club and you see in the person on the bicycle it's alleged that that was the shooter and you will
47:54hear
47:54the gunfire and this is the time children on vacation we always say why the children always indoors on the
48:06devices
48:13and you know what i noticed the adults didn't seek to make sure the children were running in their direction
48:20were safe they ran inside and left them outside
48:30some of them had no hurry to even get it not even yeah and we we literally had uh corporal
48:39grenin
48:39she was on the show with us and he's one that represents that area in a major way and he
48:45contributes
48:45so much yeah he does a stolen job he really does he really really really really and he spoke about
48:50all the programs that he had going on and then to see this now it's crazy well i'm hoping that
48:58by
48:59now the ttps is aware of the identity of the shooter um or the alleged let me say it correctly
49:06and you know it sometimes it's still and like i'm saying to the public and it's something that really
49:13hurts um i know the ttps have issues some time to time i know sometimes our officers really doesn't
49:22they don't behave in a manner that you may even want to speak to some of us yes but there
49:27are so many
49:28things like 800-555-999 give us the information it will it will end up in your right place all
49:36right
49:36we have a caller come on caller good evening hi good evening good evening ma'am oh yes uh we
49:43have you with me
49:44yes um i will publicly commend one of your officers from the tower to the station uh
49:52i believe his name is cc maloney and his number is 8414 um a couple of weeks ago i had
49:59an incident
50:00where i thought someone was stealing something from my property and i called the town to the station
50:05and asked if they could check someone and within minutes five minutes cc maloney came on the
50:11roadway and asked him what happened um and then he said he's going to drive around to see he saw
50:17the
50:17individuals i just have not sure because of previous experience with our police stations but he actually
50:24came out and probably didn't send him and he thought about it he was a person um i would say
50:31that he was
50:33going to remove his family that he was from help and the family and very humble that i believe
50:40you need to command the combination when it is true all right so i hope that that d and service
50:47service
50:48also commandant. And I don't want to sound a woman for this officer who took, she sounds
50:52like a young lady who took the call and gave the pass, because usually one has a threat
50:57against us with that opportunity, so let's be honest. So I also think there's like some
51:03system where to come, because if a police officer gives that kind of service, then you
51:09could put it in the accommodation for them so that they would be recognized. So I think
51:16it will be so many times to stay with police police more now, but as you know, the police
51:22officer said, I really would like to comment, and I hope you all can answer them for this
51:27issue.
51:27Ma'am, what I would want from you, if you could leave your number so I can get some more
51:30information,
51:31so I can really have the names forwarded so that we could really recognize their diligent
51:38duties and their dedication to duties at a later awards function. So you can leave your
51:42number there, there with Ms. Jackie, and I would contact you before the week is out to get
51:47some more information. And you know, I am happy and I thank you for calling to really give
51:53your testimony of your experiences, because so many times we hear about when officers do
51:56wrong, when persons which are on the receiving end of poor service, that I thank you for, you
52:03know, just coming and sharing and showing the police service in a different light. And like
52:07I said, the ship is a big ship, so it would be turning slowly, but we are doing our best
52:12to turn it around. Fortunately, we have some leaders coming up, some young leaders that really
52:17want to show that, you know, that tenacity and really exhibit that, that really care and
52:25compassion that we need to meet the members of the public. So Ma'am, I thank you for that,
52:29just leave a number and I would, I would contact you to get some information.
52:31Alright, we have another caller. Caller, good evening. Hello.
52:35Good evening, sir.
52:40Good evening, sir.
52:42Good evening, sir.
52:43Good evening, sir.
52:44Good evening, sir.
52:44Good evening, sir.
52:45Good evening, sir.
52:55Good evening, sir.
52:56Good evening, sir.
52:57Good evening, sir.
52:57It was very loud and the local service, and and, and, except certainly, we
53:04have two officers, so, I suggest we have to meet kind of before that.
53:11Um, sure, we need to see.
53:15Secondly, concerning some children's police station, when I departed, when I went on my
53:21way on the road, it was a, and I saw, sorry to say that, the amount of dead vehicles packed
53:29up in the yard, and I think it could be a hazard, a high hazard, because most people
53:33could be treated, and people could get infected.
53:37So just those two times were the problem to our region.
53:42All right, thank you so much, sir.
53:44Yes, please.
53:45I like what the caller said.
53:48We are currently on a recruitment drive to really increase the strength of the police service,
53:56and I think in the near future there will be legislation to parliament to increase the
54:02entire sanction strength of the Toronto Police Service.
54:06These are things that we are treating with behind the scenes.
54:10With respect to the relic vehicles, caller, caller, we have so many
54:16I told you what to do already, you know.
54:18There are patients that experience this, and I am seeing some officers having to park in
54:25a way that they themselves are committing an offence, because there's no way to park on
54:28the compound, because it's filled with derelict vehicles.
54:31We are asking persons, when your vehicle is in an accident and it has been written off, we ask you
54:36to come back and
54:37retrieve your vehicle to the relatives.
54:40Your relative may have passed away in the accident, and we know you may not want that trauma, but we
54:46need to have
54:46some way to hand the vehicle over to somebody, because they have a vehicle that has been on compound for
54:51over ten years.
54:52And whose fault is that?
54:56Ms. Osborne, there was a lot to go through.
54:59But do it start?
55:00I remember in the Western Division, we put together some officers, we formed a task force to really try to
55:06locate some of the
55:07persons.
55:07But it's not even just locating.
55:08When an accident happens, I told you already, I suggested, have a document that they have to sign.
55:15I don't know how y'all will pass that legally, but get that document done legally, black and white, where
55:21after a certain
55:21period of an accident happening, and the vehicle being on the compound may be a month.
55:26I'm just saying, if no one comes to retrieve the vehicle, y'all have all right to do what is
55:31needed with the vehicle.
55:32I remember, Ms. Osborne, there are a lot of these occasions where you find these vehicles are taken and placed
55:37on the compound.
55:37It's a really serious accident.
55:39Yeah.
55:39So, we need to exercise some humanity as well.
55:42We need not come in to tell you, you know, sign this with respect to your vehicle and that time
55:46you're getting ready to be
55:47placed on a stretcher to go into an ambulance.
55:49So, it's a give and take.
55:50And we have to know when and how to do it.
55:52It may mean a few days later.
55:54At least I get it.
55:54I'm not going to say, you're supposed to go in an ICU and give me a thumbprint and put it
55:58here for me to make sure.
55:59I would speak to you.
56:00It's not like that.
56:00But what I'm saying is, is that at least have it there.
56:04So, when you have these...
56:05You're free to dispose of it.
56:06Of course.
56:08Time is going on and on and y'all are still stuck with all these vehicles.
56:12To me.
56:13Having rodents, mosquitoes.
56:15All kinds of madness.
56:17Yeah.
56:17Yeah.
56:17When are y'all going to take action?
56:19Until what?
56:19It pile up?
56:20You know, like a building?
56:23Well, what happened?
56:23I would speak to the...
56:24Maybe have a combination with the legal team of giant political police officers and see what we can do to
56:29rid these police stations of these vehicles.
56:31Because some of them even spill out onto the roadway.
56:33Of course.
56:34Yeah.
56:35Yeah.
56:35And this is something where y'all could also...
56:38I don't know how y'all would deal with it with regards to, you know, the materials.
56:42But it could help in funding in a way so they could get body cams.
56:45Yeah.
56:45Hmm.
56:47Of course.
56:47Yeah?
56:48Yes.
56:48All right.
56:49We have a few seconds.
56:50The floor is yours.
56:51All right.
56:51So, Sharon and Tobago, you know, it's nice to be back.
56:55You know, we had a wonderful show today.
56:57Yes.
56:57I ask that you really, really and truly, you know, just do that introspection within yourself.
57:02And you be the change that you want to be.
57:05Parents, look out for your children.
57:07Look out for your children.
57:08Speak to them.
57:09Have continuous conversation.
57:11Do not give up on your children.
57:14Mm-hmm.
57:14Yeah?
57:15Thank you so much, ASP.
57:16And it's a pleasure having you back.
57:18Of course, your battle is looks like that, right?
57:21It's a pleasure to be back.
57:22Just to remind you, we are back again with the deep dive.
57:25Look out for our attorney at law and director, Mr. Ali.
57:29That is after the news at 8 o'clock.
57:31Look out for deep dive and continue that conversation there.
57:34But up next, we get ready for news at 7 TNT.
57:37Continue being hard targets out there.
57:38Be safe.
57:39God bless.
57:40And we'll be back tomorrow.
57:41Same time, same place.
57:43We're out.
