02:58Good evening, Trinidad and Tobago.
03:00And, of course, our international audience.
03:02And our brothers and sisters in Grenada.
03:04Of course, we welcome you to be on the tape.
03:07I'm your host, Whitney Husbands.
03:08Now, it's the beginning of yet another work week.
03:12And I hope persons are able, for this brand new week,
03:14that we're able to be law-abiding citizens.
03:16That we're able to follow the laws of the land.
03:19And, of course, making sure that we get rid of the criminal activities that are happening.
03:24But we are responsible for doing those things.
03:27But this gentleman and his team is also there to make sure that they bring closure to all of our
03:33loved ones.
03:34Because they are doing their part.
03:36We'd like to welcome Captain Rambert, who is no stranger, with us each and every Monday.
03:40Good evening to you, sir.
03:41Good evening, Whitney.
03:42And a pleasant good evening to our viewership on Beyond the Tape and TV6 by extension.
03:47And I just want to add, Whitney, that, yes, we search for people.
03:51But at the end of the day, we try to advise people on public safety.
03:55And I hope persons recognize that there was an adverse weather bulletin posted yesterday evening.
04:01And it was discontinued at about midday today.
04:04But once that adverse weather bulletin goes up, pay attention.
04:10Because this morning we had some flooding in the South Key and Cocorita area this morning.
04:15But pay attention to it.
04:17And, you know, life will be easier.
04:19You will know what to expect.
04:21And, you know, we also advise on safety.
04:24And safety is of paramount importance.
04:26And I know that will come up in our discussion today.
04:28But before we go on, football.
04:31So, you know, we had a cherry-eyed with Whitney yesterday.
04:37But an exciting game.
04:38Brazil lost and a lot of Trinidadians, Trinidad and Tobago fans, hopes, would dash.
04:43But they came up against the mighty Norway and...
04:47Vikings.
04:47Yeah, the Vikings and, you know, and then today it was Spain versus...
04:52Portugal and they lost.
04:53Portugal.
04:54Portugal lost.
04:55A tremendous amount of Portugal fans in Trinidad and Tobago.
04:59Spain.
05:00I think there's something in football right now that has caused a lot of persons to be upset.
05:08Yes, of course.
05:08USA is playing Belgium tonight.
05:10And the intervention of the President of the United States.
05:13And the President of FIFA to withdraw a red card to one of the United States players.
05:20From to play.
05:21That isn't going down.
05:22Craziness.
05:22It isn't going down well with football fans, right?
05:26They see some bit of an outside interference into the conduct and fair play of the game.
05:31And that does not ogre well for football.
05:34But nevertheless, you know, the exciting football continues.
05:39And hopefully, you know, some of us who have still have teams in the game, you know, may the best
05:47team win.
05:48All right.
05:49With that being said, over the weekend, Captain, we saw some RTAs, three RTAs in particular, fatal ones at that.
05:56Again, condolences to the families out there.
05:58And we will start off with the residents of Caparo in central Trinidad are urgently calling for the Santa Philippa
06:07Bridge and the roadway to be repaired after a man died in a fatal accident on a Saturday morning.
06:13They now fear that if the infrastructure goes unfixed, it may pose danger to other drivers.
06:20Now, speaking to the Express yesterday, one resident who asked to go unnamed said while Saturday's accident was not the
06:27first cause by the deteriorated roadway at the Santa Felipe Bridge located along the Caparo Valley Brasso Road.
06:35It was the first fatal incident.
06:37Now, two weeks ago, she reported a resident's car was written off after the driver crashed while attempting to swerve
06:45from hitting a pothole.
06:47The pothole, she claimed, was caused by works and conducted by the WASA, which is Water and Serious Authority, two
06:55weeks ago.
06:56Since then, she said the authority did not repair the road.
07:00Now, opposite the pothole, she said, was an uncovered manhole which had been barricaded with wood and caution tape to
07:08prevent pedestrians from falling in.
07:11Now, the resident said that she believes that 42-year-old Jason Ramnanan, who was driving a panel van, collided
07:19into a truck on Saturday morning near the Santa Felipe Bridge as he swerved to avoid crashing into the manhole
07:28causing him to drive onto the path of an ongoing truck.
07:33Now, Ramnanan's death was of three road fatalities for the weekend on Friday.
07:39An unidentified man, believed to be homeless, was struck by a vehicle at around 7.40 p.m. as he
07:47attempted to cross Uriah Butler Highway near the Monroe Road flyover.
07:52Now, around 12 hours later, Ramnanan was killed in the Santa Felipe Bridge incident.
07:57Now, in the third incident, a Maruga teenager was killed when the vehicle in which he was a passenger crashed
08:04into a utility pole on Sunday morning.
08:07Once again, condolences to all the family members, Captain.
08:11Yes, condolences to the family.
08:12And I know the Santa Felipe Bridge well.
08:15It's in the Caparo Brasso, the Brasso Caparo Valley Road.
08:20Whitney, it is a one-way bridge.
08:22There are a series of one-way bridges on that road close to each other, and most of them are
08:28missing railings.
08:30And if, as the resident said, there's the additional problem with a pothole and a wasa hole there, you know,
08:39the road authorities have to improve their safety measures with respect to our roads.
08:45And even if the road condition worsens, safety signs are very important in this regard.
08:51And in some instances, the agencies have not been stepping up to warn residents in this regard.
08:59So, you know, those things could help reduce fatality on our roads.
09:03And with respect to the young man from Maruga, on the last Monday, we highlighted the case of a 17
09:10-year-old who drowned in Brasso Seco.
09:13And here we lost a 16-year-old boy who was in Form 3 in Maruga Secondary School.
09:20And, you know, these young men have to learn to say no.
09:23They have to learn to say no.
09:25If you say no, you protect your lives.
09:27And if you did not go into that vehicle, if you, you know, you have to learn to say no.
09:32I understand it was a stolen vehicle.
09:33A stolen vehicle, yes.
09:34So, you have to learn to say no young men in order to protect your lives.
09:39You see the consequences and pay attention and practice safety and be safe with your life at all times.
09:49Yes, condolences once again.
09:50Again to the families.
09:52Let's get into the mission for today.
09:53Yes, so we had a mission.
09:56It wasn't really a mission where we had to physically go on.
09:59But on Friday evening, we received a distress call around 7 p.m.
10:03Another young lady, 31 Shanaz Ali, she would normally reach home at around 7 p.m.
10:10And when they tried to contact her on phone, she did not.
10:14Her phone was switched off.
10:16Shanaz Ali, who was working for a company in one of those companies around the savannah.
10:22There, I'll be on court.
10:24So, it was a new job.
10:26She was there just for one week.
10:28She drove her SUV, her P.E.K., I think, SUV, a Yaris course.
10:33And so, you know, the family was worried.
10:35And they contacted us.
10:37And immediately, it took us all night, working all night on the phones.
10:43And then information came that the car was on Sackville Street Park intact.
10:47And just about 4, half past 4 in the morning, we were in contact with the Miaro Police.
10:55And they were able to go there and get her, based on information.
11:00And it is alleged she was found tied to a coconut tree.
11:05Because the investigations aren't going, and they're very sensitive at this stage,
11:10I won't be able to give much details.
11:13But just to say, thank God, she was found alive.
11:16And she was taken for medical attention.
11:19And she's back home with her relatives right now.
11:22So, you know, it took us all night.
11:24We did not sleep a bit to ensure that this young lady, Shana Azari, was found alive.
11:32And then we had another case.
11:33I thought I'd bring this case to the attention of the public.
11:37We had 64-year-old Stephen Joseph from Pinto Road in Arima.
11:43And he was missing for 88 days.
11:47Now, when he returned home, and he couldn't even speak about where he was during that time.
11:54And I said I'd highlight this case because you have to wonder where he was.
12:00He couldn't speak.
12:01And he couldn't speak about where he was.
12:04So we need to continue to pay attention to the elderly
12:07and to make sure that we monitor them.
12:11They are these little, what I call GPS location devices that are cheap.
12:17And you can just activate it.
12:19Somebody told me they have from $300 to $800 activated,
12:24put it in the shoes, in the shoe color, you know,
12:27somewhere on them so that when they go out,
12:29you could track them and find the exact location.
12:33So we need to step up the game.
12:35Coming up in Missing Persons for July,
12:37we do have one for July thus far.
12:40Now, I'm really happy to hear good news there.
12:42Good news on both fronts.
12:44Yes, bringing closure.
12:45Now, here is some sad news that you mentioned.
12:48Now, according to the Trinidad Express,
12:50a neighborhood joyride turned deadly
12:53when a Moruga teenager was killed after the vehicle.
12:56He and his friend were traveling and crashed in the early hours on Sunday.
13:02Now, investigating police officers received information
13:04that the Hyundai Matrix in which Adin Batiste 16 was a passenger
13:10and crashed into a utility pool was reported stolen.
13:15Now, Captain, this is a situation here that you just mentioned, you know.
13:21And, again, we have to do better, especially as the young ones.
13:26With Nifino, Edward, Tristan in Moruga,
13:28Basia in Moruga, you cannot speed on that route.
13:30So where were you going at that speed at that hour in the morning
13:33to crash into a utility pool that would have brought about a fatality,
13:39a fatality, which involves probably a friend, a 16-year-old boy.
13:45It's crazy.
13:46Yes, it's really sad.
13:47It's craziness, and you all got to look at what you do,
13:50and parents, please, talk to your children
13:52and let them know that in everything that they do now,
13:56they have to practice safety,
13:58they have to be serious about their lives,
14:00and lives could be easily lost.
14:03We have seen too many young men losing their lives.
14:08Now, according to a media release from the TTPS,
14:11fireman ammunition seized in Mova.
14:13The intelligence-led operation Resolute Shield
14:16conducted by officers of the Northeastern Division Task Force
14:20in the Mova district resulted in the seizure of a firearm and ammunition yesterday.
14:25Now, between 4 a.m. and 8.30 a.m. on Sunday, 5 July, 2026,
14:29officers proceeded to the Hillview Road, Monteripo,
14:34where they conducted a search of an abandoned wooden and concrete structure.
14:38During the search, officers discovered a mini Draco pistol,
14:43a chambered or chambered in 7.62x39 caliber
14:48and fitted with a magazine containing 28 rounds of 7.62 ammunition.
14:55And that type of ammunition tells you what the gun was or is going to be used for,
15:02and commendations to the police for getting that gun off the street.
15:07Yes, so you know we will see some results.
15:09Speaking of that, in the SOE report.
15:11All right, so now our SOE update, let's take a look.
15:14What is making the updates of July 6, 2026?
15:18Now, number of operations, 9,001.
15:21Number of targets, priority offenders, 2,489.
15:26Searches conducted, 3,598.
15:29Traffic operations, 5,525.
15:32Total persons arrested, 4,041.
15:36Total persons charged, 989.
15:40Firearms recovered, we're seeing an increase with pistols, revolvers,
15:43and the rifles, giving us a total of 221 ammunition recovered.
15:48We're seeing an increase with the 9mm, also the 5.56 and 0.38,
15:55along with the 7.62, giving us a total of 3,981.
16:01And dangerous drug seized, we're seeing once again the increase
16:04with the cannabis and the cocaine, Captain.
16:06And as I said, once you're seeing the seizure of the 7.62 mm,
16:12you know, those are from semi-automatic and automatic rifles,
16:16and we do not, they're legal.
16:19You have to have a permit, probably to have one,
16:21and they're used for killing in our country.
16:24All right, right now let's take a look at what's making today's headlines.
17:09And those are your stories making today's headlines.
17:11Now, we just received some information recently.
17:14It's alleged that a 65-year-old British national was shot and killed
17:18in a brazen daylight attack in the Trinity area.
17:21And, of course, we send condolences going out to the family there.
17:24Remember, you can also give us a call at 623-1711, extension 1996 and 1997.
17:31We take that break. We'll be right back.

20:27If you're now joining us,
20:28of course,
20:28we have Captain Rambert here with us.
20:30And we're getting ready to give us information
20:32on the update of missing persons
20:34in the month of June
20:35before we head into July.
20:36Yes.
20:37So let me give you the final figures for June.
20:40In June 2026,
20:42we received 28 reports of missing persons
20:44and thus far we still have six remaining,
20:48six that are still outstanding.
20:50I just want to highlight one case
20:52because what we do is that we red flag cases
20:54so that we know the other five things will resolve,
20:58most likely in July,
20:59if not like in Stephen Joseph's case 88 days after.
21:05But most of them will be able to get a resolution too.
21:10So Elizabeth Davis,
21:11she went missing on the 25th of July
21:14July 2026
21:16from Lakeysa Road there in Freeport.
21:19And, you know, today, I believe it was 11 days.
21:22Yes, 11 days she's been missing anything about it
21:25is that a video has surfaced with her
21:27as it was told to us
21:30that she was seen leaving her home with a roof.
21:32Now, we covered substantial territory with respect to Su-Chin Baham.
21:37We don't know if she walked off and went and jumped in a taxi
21:42and went somewhere else.
21:44It's difficult to resolve,
21:45but we're not giving up on Elizabeth Davis.
21:48I just wish to remind those of you who are living in the Freeport District
21:52that she's still outstanding and you may have seen her
21:55or you may still see her somewhere around.
21:58If so, call the Freeport Police Station or call 799-1453.
22:03Because, you know, this case, Betty,
22:10is generating a lot of interest down in Freeport, right?
22:13So if you have any information,
22:15I want to keep this on the front burner
22:17because she's the only one with a really red flag in June.
22:22And then for July thus far,
22:25remember I told you we're beginning to see an increase in the reports
22:29one per day.
22:30We have had six reports for July thus far
22:32and we still have three persons outstanding.
22:36You know, the teenage runaways,
22:38we expect that number to go up.
22:40And so, Nathaniel Nottingham is missing.
22:43My thing is, look at the age.
22:44She's 13 years old, Whitney.
22:46Yes.
22:46And she's new to us.
22:49So, person from the...
22:53She was in the Barataria area.
22:56So, we know that she was in the Barataria area.
22:59So, if you have information,
23:01please call 800-TIPS-999-555
23:05or our team at 799-1453.
23:10Again, we're concerned with the age there, Whitney, right?
23:13And then we have K. Meyer Bishop.
23:15Now, Whitney K. Meyer Bishop is not new to us.
23:21Previously, she may have run away about 10 times before.
23:25But she was placed in her home
23:27and she got pregnant.
23:30And she was released in care of her mother.
23:35The thing about this time is that
23:37she took the baby who was nine months old and left.
23:41She took the baby,
23:43the nine-month-old baby,
23:45this on Friday
23:48and she left home.
23:49Now, Captain...
23:50Nobody has seen her since.
23:52Before she made this child,
23:54there was no connection
23:55to find out who was the father
23:56because she's underage.
23:59Yeah, she's underage.
24:00But I'll tell you this, Whitney,
24:02and this has been told us by the police
24:05and the Unicard Protection Unit
24:07is that when they have this history
24:09of running away,
24:11they know exactly
24:13what to say to the police
24:15and what not to say to the police.
24:17Some of them just remain quiet
24:19in front of the police
24:20and they're not willing to divulge
24:22any information whatsoever.
24:25Right?
24:28And it poses a problem
24:30because we want...
24:32I have been seeing
24:33an increase in adults
24:35being charged for sexual offenses.
24:38Yes.
24:39Again, with respect to minors.
24:41And we want to see that increase
24:43because it is a practice.
24:44It is clear.
24:45We want to have stuff, right?
24:46Yes.
24:47Because you're damaging
24:48these youngers' lives.
24:49They have a whole full life ahead of us.
24:53They have great potential
24:54and they've been, you know,
24:56sexually groomed from young.
24:58So when you'll find them,
24:59if they are found by an adult's house,
25:02police get involved
25:03and charge them immediately.
25:05Yes.
25:05That's what we do now.
25:07When we started,
25:07we were like going to the homes
25:09and now we have stopped that.
25:11Once we have sure
25:12that we have the location,
25:14we call the police
25:15and they go and they get them.
25:17Very good.
25:18They normally tell us, you know,
25:20where they were found
25:21and who they were found with
25:22and, you know, charges.
25:24Because we want to see
25:25this practice stop
25:27and we want those perpetrators
25:29to be brought before the courts
25:31because it is a practice
25:33that has to be stopped
25:34and all of this
25:35taking place on Instagram.
25:37Yes, all social media platforms.
25:39All social media platforms.
25:40And then we have the case
25:41of Gregory Amcapriata
25:43who is age 73 from ARIMA
25:46and went missing yesterday
25:48and in most of these cases
25:50it involves, you know,
25:51the aging disorder, diseases,
25:54most likely Alzheimer's
25:56or some form of dementia.
25:57So, he is from the ARIMA district
25:59and he should be moving around
26:01in the ARIMA district.
26:03Our teammates from that area
26:04will probably do some patrols
26:07this evening
26:08to see if we could find
26:09Gregory Capriata.
26:10He came on our radar today.
26:12So, if you have information
26:14about Gregory,
26:15please call 800-TIPS-999-555
26:20or our team at 799-1453.
26:23And please do, you know,
26:25take the advice seriously
26:27with respect to the tracking devices.
26:29We've seen too many elderly folks
26:31who, you know, go missing
26:34and like Stephen Joseph,
26:36we can't find them
26:37for long periods of time.
26:39Yes.
26:39Now, in this case here,
26:41the search for that
26:41becomes mission to help others.
26:43You could give us
26:44a little more insight on that
26:46because he had to deal
26:48with some traumatic...
26:49Yes.
26:50This was, I believe,
26:51a few years ago.
26:52Yes.
26:52We worked on this case
26:52on El Maraj
26:53and his son Josh Maraj.
26:56He was always, you know,
26:59talking about the trauma
27:01of losing his father.
27:02Now, we had searched
27:03the entire southwest Trinidad,
27:07including those ponds.
27:09I remember our teammates
27:10going into the ponds
27:11to try to,
27:12based on information,
27:13and together with the police,
27:15you know,
27:16in an attempt to locate his father.
27:18But thus far, he has not.
27:20But the idea of helping others
27:22when you find yourself
27:23in this sort of situation
27:25is a good thing.
27:26Later on, hopefully,
27:27I could talk about
27:28Raquel Andrews.
27:30She was a mother
27:31with a missing daughter.
27:33And after she was recovered,
27:36the daughter,
27:36she joined our team
27:38and continues to serve
27:39our team well.
27:40So, you know,
27:41this is a noble thing
27:43that, you know,
27:44that if you happen
27:45to experience the situation,
27:48you know,
27:48and you want to continue
27:50to help families
27:52to locate their loved ones,
27:53it's a noble,
27:55thing to get into,
27:56and families out there
27:58always need help.
28:00Always.
28:01And remember,
28:02with the information,
28:02if anyone has information
28:04from what we mentioned
28:05with the missing persons,
28:06you could contact
28:07Captain,
28:08and of course,
28:09you could give the information
28:09to 999-555
28:11or 800-TIPS.
28:12So, remember,
28:13you could also give us a call
28:14at 623-1711,
28:17extension 1996
28:18and 1997.
28:20We take that break.
28:22All right, guys.
28:23Today,
28:23we're going to start
28:23a new topic,
28:24and that topic
28:25is entitled
28:38There is no way
28:39I could teach in all that noise,
28:41and there is definitely
28:43no way
28:44we children could learn
28:45in that noise
28:46of violence.
28:47They deserve more.
28:49That's fear.
28:50That anxiety.
28:52We have to have
28:53our classrooms
28:54filled with joy,
28:56laughter,
28:56and hope.
28:57Not fear.
28:59That is why
29:00I support
29:01the TCPS
29:02School-Orienting
29:03Policing Initiative.
29:04This is not just
29:06about law enforcement.
29:08It's about
29:09building trust.
29:10Parents,
29:11teachers,
29:12students,
29:13and officers
29:14all coming together
29:16to provide
29:17a safe space
29:18where young minds
29:20can flourish.
29:21If we all
29:22stand side by side,
29:25we can protect
29:26our children,
29:27keep them safe,
29:28and they could have
29:30a space to learn
29:31without anxiety
29:33and fear.
29:35I am ready
29:35to partner
29:37with the TCPS

29:45It's not a
29:46simple task.
29:47We need parents,
29:48students,
29:49teachers,
29:50and communities
29:51to get involved.
29:53It's time
29:54to get on board.

31:57what is stop plans?
31:59A $22,500 fine.
32:03You know what else
32:04could really stop your plans?
32:07Five years imprisonment
32:08and suspension on your license
32:10for three years.
32:12Don't drink and drive.
32:31And we are back.
32:32Now some information
32:33from the TTPSM media release today.
32:35A man arrested
32:36for Prince's Stone murder.
32:37A 39-year-old man
32:39has been arrested
32:40in connection
32:40with the murder
32:41of Stephen Jack,
32:4339,
32:43of Chinchin,
32:44Canoopia,
32:45which occurred
32:47in Charlotte Street,
32:48Prince's Town
32:48on Sunday,
32:495th July,
32:512026.
32:52Now around 3,
32:5320 p.m.
32:54on Sunday,
32:545th July,
32:552026,
32:56officers responded
32:57to a report
32:58of a stabbing
32:59at Charlotte Street,
33:00Prince's Town.
33:01Upon arrival,
33:02officers were informed
33:04that the victim
33:05had already been conveyed
33:06by a resident
33:07to the Prince's Town
33:08Health Facility
33:09where he was treated
33:10for multiple stab wounds.
33:12However,
33:13despite the efforts
33:13of medical personnel,
33:15he succumbed
33:16to his injuries
33:17and was pronounced dead
33:18at 4.05 p.m.
33:20Now preliminary inquiries
33:22revealed
33:22that the deceased
33:23had gone to Charlotte Street
33:24in search
33:25of a female resident.
33:27Upon arrival
33:28at the location,
33:29he got into an argument
33:30with a man
33:31that escalated
33:32into a physical altercation
33:34where he sustained
33:35multiple stab wounds.
33:37Crime scene investigators
33:38visited and processed
33:40the scene
33:40where several items
33:42of evidential value
33:43were recovered.
33:45Captain?
33:46Yes,
33:47so the issue
33:49of the commendations
33:51to the police again
33:52for excellent work.
33:54Some action.
33:55Some action.
33:56But, you know,
33:57I was,
33:58other than just reading this,
34:00it seems like
34:00a crime of passion
34:01is happening a lot
34:02among our men
34:04and women
34:04in the country.
34:06And crimes of passion,
34:08I mean,
34:09well,
34:10it cannot be tolerated,
34:13right?
34:14But we're seeing
34:15really different types
34:17of murders
34:17committed
34:18across the country
34:19as against
34:20that gang type
34:21virus,
34:23slaughters,
34:24we were seeing
34:24in our street.
34:26Right?
34:27And, you know,
34:28the thing is,
34:29you know,
34:30no matter how many laws
34:31we put in place
34:32with respect
34:33to domestic violence,
34:35we're seeing this
34:37still being played out.
34:38And I think
34:39it has,
34:40what could solve it
34:41really is
34:42to keep strengthening
34:43the laws,
34:43but not only that,
34:44but you have to strengthen
34:45the capabilities
34:47of the
34:47internal
34:47and technical police service
34:49so that they will deal
34:50with these reports,
34:53you know,
34:54according to law,
34:55but they have
34:56to be firm
34:57with it
34:58because these
34:59murders
35:01started somewhere
35:02and somewhere
35:03along the line
35:04reports would have
35:05had to be made
35:06to the police.
35:08And, you know,
35:08if reports were made,
35:10we hope that
35:10the police service
35:11could follow up on it
35:13and, you know,
35:13at the end of the day
35:14try to prevent
35:15some of these crimes
35:16of passion.
35:17Yeah, I think
35:17two persons
35:18need to find a way
35:19of accepting
35:20or hearing
35:21they would know.
35:22Yeah, yeah,
35:23but that's the other angle.
35:24Like, no,
35:25I am, I am,
35:25I am, I'm good.
35:27I'm, I'm moving on.
35:28We know.
35:29Please leave me alone.
35:30Right, but we've
35:31seen less of that
35:32and more of taking up
35:34a gun and a knife
35:35a cutlass
35:35and resolve the problem
35:36in an infinite way
35:38as against, you know,
35:39trying to resolve
35:40the problems
35:41and, you know,
35:42keeping your distance
35:43and accepting
35:43the reality
35:44that, you know,
35:45the time has come
35:46to move on
35:47and, and, and, and,
35:49but we're seeing
35:49more and more people
35:51just going,
35:52grabbing,
35:52I don't know
35:52if it's being
35:54emotional,
36:23lack of control
36:24individual,
36:25not leaving them alone.
36:26What could that person
36:27do with your expertise
36:29into being aware
36:31of their surroundings
36:32and, and other tactics
36:33that they could use?
36:34And, you know,
36:35in the first case
36:36I dealt with
36:37that we had to deal
36:38with last Friday,
36:39it involved some of that,
36:40right?
36:40Yes.
36:41And, you know,
36:42you have, you have,
36:44you have to be very
36:44protective of your
36:45surroundings
36:46and you have to
36:48have family around you
36:50that are,
36:51that are very supportive
36:52and you have to have
36:53divide, things in place
36:55like, you know,
36:56quick reach outs,
36:57messages,
36:58that type of thing.
36:59Apart from that,
37:01you know,
37:01report, report it
37:02to the police
37:03and let the police
37:04get involved
37:05and there are various
37:06units within the
37:07Trinidad and Tobago
37:08police service
37:09that could reach out
37:10to that person
37:11and have a word
37:12with them as well.
37:13Yeah, but if that,
37:14that doesn't work.
37:15Yeah, because sometimes
37:16they will have a word,
37:17you could have a
37:18protective order,
37:18you could do all
37:19those things.
37:20Yeah.
37:20But it seems like
37:21you now have to be
37:22on your piece and cues
37:23all, at all times.
37:24At all times.
37:25Because you just never
37:26can't let your guard down
37:27at no point in time.
37:28Because somebody could
37:28simply jump over a fence
37:30and confront you
37:31and that's the end
37:31of your life, right?
37:32Yes.
37:32And it's very difficult,
37:34very difficult
37:35to deal with
37:37in terms of
37:38safeguarding yourself.
37:39But, you know,
37:40there are some measures
37:40that you should put
37:42in place.
37:42But you see that
37:43family support,
37:44reaching out to a friend,
37:46reaching out to a relative,
37:47let them know
37:48when you're leaving home.
37:49You know,
37:49if you find a suspicious
37:51card, take the picture,
37:52send it to them.
37:53And a simple thing
37:55like sending persons
37:56to a live location.
37:57Yes.
37:57So you might have
37:58a good friend with me.
37:59You know you've been
38:00ultra-cautious
38:01and that's good,
38:02but send a friend
38:03to a live location
38:04that let me go in here
38:05and, you know,
38:06they could always
38:07keep, keep, keep, keep,
38:09know where you are.
38:10No, I don't know
38:10if you're paying attention
38:11or I've heard conversations
38:12even, you know,
38:14among your members
38:16where, especially
38:17females in particular,
38:19we're seeing more
38:19and more of females
38:21not wanting
38:21to go in relationships
38:22at all
38:23because of the fear
38:24of, you know,
38:25engaging in the wrong person.
38:27You just don't know
38:28who is good
38:28from who is bad
38:29until, you know,
38:30it happens.
38:31Well, you can't blame them.
38:33You can't blame them, right?
38:34And so,
38:36the thing about it
38:37is that,
38:39you know,
38:40Whitney,
38:41we have to face
38:42the reality.
38:43The majority
38:44of the problems
38:44facing the country
38:46has to deal with men.
38:47Yes.
38:47And that is
38:48coming from a man,
38:49right?
38:50and the way
38:52we socialize
38:53our boys
38:54from young,
38:55the way we
38:57engage them
38:58educationally.
38:59You know,
38:59they put more pressure
39:00on the girls
39:01to perform
39:01than the boys.
39:02You know,
39:03home chores,
39:04the girls are always
39:05under pressure.
39:06The boys,
39:06you know,
39:07get away with everything.
39:09And you have
39:11got to pay
39:13attention
39:13to emotional intelligence
39:15and I think
39:15that is the key thing.
39:17There's enough
39:18literature
39:18on social media.
39:19You go on TikTok
39:20and there's so many
39:22coaches
39:22that could guide you
39:23with respect
39:24to identifying
39:25or red flagging
39:26certain things
39:27about men.
39:28And you just have to
39:29be not love blind
39:31and pick up
39:32the red flags
39:33and make an assessment
39:35and not go dive
39:37into a relationship
39:38that will end up
39:39with problems
39:40at the end of the day.
39:41Because,
39:42you know,
39:43the whole thing
39:44is emotional
39:44and sensing
39:45that emotional
39:46intelligence
39:47and doing
39:48background checks
39:49on finding out
39:50where's your bank
39:51account.
39:52Ask your mother
39:53to ask him
39:54how much money
39:55he has in the bank.
39:58Yeah, yeah.
39:59You've got to face
40:00reality.
40:00Right?
40:01So,
40:01but it is a problem
40:04with young,
40:05with females
40:05and how they get
40:09partners.
40:10We have a problem
40:11amongst the main
40:12population.
40:13Really, really sad.
40:13Now, we had
40:14into south now
40:14and we saw
40:16what took place
40:17with the earthquake
40:18and how it
40:20shifted land
40:21and we spoke
40:22about it
40:23and there's a new
40:24development
40:24that is happening.
40:26Captain,
40:27what is this?
40:27Let me tell you
40:28what it is.
40:29So, the gentleman
40:30who brought
40:30Galpha,
40:31this is Galpha,
40:31the Galpha uplift
40:32in the carcass
40:34which was a
40:35direct correlation
40:36with the earthquake
40:37in Venezuela,
40:39the 7.5
40:40and the 7.2.
40:41This is a gentleman,
40:42a good friend of mine
40:43by the name of
40:44Neil Sucram.
40:45He's a YouTuber
40:46here on Southwest
40:47Adventures.
40:48Right?
40:49So, Neil called me
40:50this morning
40:50and said he heard
40:51that there was
40:52some bit of movement
40:53in another area
40:56of south Trinidad
40:57a mud volcano.
40:59That mud volcano
41:00is in a remote area
41:02and he wanted
41:02guidance to get there.
41:04So, you know,
41:05we guided him
41:06accordingly.
41:06Accordingly.
41:07So, this one
41:08is now breaking.
41:10Exclusive to
41:11Beyond the Teep
41:12and I shared it
41:13with our producer
41:14because, you know,
41:15he asked me
41:16to be on the teep.
41:18This is Neil
41:18an adventurer
41:20just like myself.
41:21Now, this is
41:21between Queen Anne
41:22Beach and Santa Flora
41:23for those of you
41:24who are familiar
41:25with the south.
41:26And this seems
41:27to be a mudslide
41:29that went
41:30into the sea.
41:31Now, in the background
41:32there, you will see
41:33two peaks
41:33and then on the right side
41:35if our producer
41:37could just
41:37scoop back a bit
41:39and pick up that small.
41:39Quick question.
41:40Why is he doing that?
41:40All right.
41:41That's to protect himself
41:42to make sure
41:42that he doesn't sink.
41:44So, if he does sink,
41:45he has that lateral
41:47branch
41:48to hold on to.
41:49That will be difficult
41:50to go through
41:51at one point in time.
41:52So, that's why
41:53he's doing it.
41:54But, I miss that producer.
41:57So, if, yes,
41:58there is a small island
41:59that I saw
42:00in this video
42:01sometime.
42:02I don't know
42:02if it's to the end.
42:04maybe
42:05a small outcrop
42:07of soil
42:08in the sea.
42:11But, this is also
42:12in the sea.
42:13So, there appears
42:13to have been
42:14a mud flow
42:15down to the sea.
42:16So, I know
42:16by tomorrow
42:17it will make the news
42:18and the geoscientists
42:19will have to head
42:20down there
42:21to look at it
42:22and see
42:22whether there was
42:23any correlation
42:24between this
42:25and the events
42:27that took place
42:28in Venezuela.
42:30So, Neil
42:31is a fun guy
42:32and I want to tell him
42:33thanks
42:33for allowing us
42:35to use it
42:36and be on the tape
42:37exclusive.
42:38We're really good friends.
42:38We like the same thing.
42:40He has taught me
42:41look at there
42:42there's an outcrop there
42:43and we have to
42:45pay attention
42:46to that outcrop
42:47as well.
42:48But, of course
42:49this one is a mud flow
42:50the geoscientists
42:51will have to
42:52determine whether
42:53it's new
42:54whether there was
42:55any movement
42:56that would have
42:57triggered a mud flow
42:58into the sea there.
43:00So, Neil
43:01I know you're watching
43:02thanks very much
43:03continue your work
43:06my dear friend
43:07you've been doing
43:07absolutely good work
43:09down there
43:09in Southwest
43:09Trinidad.
43:11He knows his
43:12safety techniques
43:13so that's why it is.
43:15right
43:16so it's difficult
43:17for that branch
43:18to go down there
43:19if it happens
43:19to go into a hole
43:20or anything like that
43:21the branch will save him.
43:24So, a geologist
43:24said you will be
43:25making a way
43:26they certainly
43:26have to go down there
43:28and I know
43:28Xavier Munan
43:29will have to head down there
43:31to see if there's
43:32a correlation
43:33between this
43:34and the earthquake.
43:36I said this will be
43:36exciting for those
43:37who are studying.
43:38Well, it's fresh
43:38off the press
43:39so, you know
43:40I was happy
43:41to get Neil
43:42involved in this one.
43:44Thanks for giving us
43:45the information.
43:46Yeah.
43:46Greatly appreciate it.
43:47We'll take that break.
43:48We'll be back.
43:58We'll be back.

46:45Captain, you showed us some photos
46:48Recently where there was a piece of land
46:51That was cleared
46:52And you were digging
46:54Right, we were preparing this sewer
46:56For one of our members
46:58And we were putting down some posts
47:00Yes, and you should have
47:01Everybody came together
47:02And we were working together
47:04To produce this
47:05And
47:07Yeah, let me explain it to you
47:09Look at this
47:09Amazing
47:10Viewers
47:11Right, so it started
47:12We started
47:13So the foundation was there
47:14The sewer system
47:15Look at the red
47:16I forget how they call that
47:18Red sewer sewer thingy there
47:20Right, the bubble
47:22Right, so what we did
47:23Is that on Sunday morning
47:25We came together with the donors
47:28Yes
47:29And their volunteers
47:30And we started at 6 o'clock
47:32And we were able to finish this house
47:36By 7.30 a.m
47:39By 7.30 a.m
47:42The house was completed
47:44It was furnished
47:45Curtains in the house
47:47Sewer system
47:48Pines, everything
47:49Electrical system
47:51Established
47:52Wow
47:52And you
47:53Because it's a work day for us
47:56Not all our members had jerseys
47:58Yes
47:58These are the members who turned up
48:00Together with the donors
48:01Volunteers
48:02Which they averaged about 100 persons
48:04This is inside the house
48:06To give you an idea
48:07They got wares
48:10Furniture
48:10Everything
48:11Bed
48:13Wardrobes
48:15Toilet
48:16Bath
48:16And everything was completed
48:19In one and a half hours
48:21And if producer
48:23You could go back to that picture
48:25To Marla Singh
48:27Who is standing
48:28In the middle there
48:30In black
48:31Holding a double in her hand
48:33Yeah
48:33Marla I want to say
48:34Thanks very much
48:35For all your support
48:36And ensuring
48:39That our teammate
48:40Who is standing next to me
48:42In the back there
48:43You all know him well
48:45Yes
48:46That both him
48:48And his wife
48:49And two children
48:50Crystal is the wife
48:51In the stripe
48:53Black and white stripe
48:54Standing next to Marla
48:56I want to say
48:57Thank you on their behalf
49:00They work hard for Hunter's
49:02Search and Rescue team
49:03And they were able to
49:04You know
49:06Get a three bedroom
49:07Completely furnished house
49:09At the end of the day
49:11So we say thanks
49:11To our donors
49:12And everybody
49:14Who assisted
49:15With this effort
49:16Now let me tell you this
49:18I had to give a speech
49:20I was teary eyed
49:21Because I mean
49:22I saw all this thing
49:23Unfolding before me
49:25And for a member
49:26Who worked hard
49:27You know
49:27I
49:28We
49:29I said this
49:31You know
49:32If you turn your worries
49:33Into worship
49:35And you turn your battles
49:37Into blessings
49:38You will get along fine in life
49:40Do not create negative energy
49:42Around you
49:43And do not
49:44Do not
49:45Because that will convert
49:46And nothing
49:47That will benefit you
49:48If you focus
49:49On you know
49:51What you want to do
49:52And you do positive things
49:55Rewards will come your way
49:57It happens
49:58It happens
49:59You know
50:00Things are done
50:02In unique ways
50:03And things happen
50:04But the other thing
50:05Is that
50:06As a team
50:07We committed
50:08To helping our members
50:09Right
50:10We committed
50:11To helping our members
50:12They give
50:13Freely
50:14Of their time
50:15And effort
50:16To help families
50:17Whose loved ones
50:18Go missing
50:19And as an organization
50:21We committed
50:22To helping those members
50:23You know
50:24People message us
50:25Well I know
50:26I'm going to get
50:26A host
50:27To have a message
50:27For houses
50:28Well I was not going to say
50:29I think it is time
50:30That you start a venture
50:31Into building homes
50:34Because
50:35What you all accomplished
50:37That is a huge
50:38That is a huge blessing
50:39It is
50:40It is
50:40It is
50:40The accomplishment
50:41It's America
50:42It's a blessing
50:42At the end of the day
50:43And you know
50:45If you could replicate
50:45This many times
50:46Over in our country
50:48You know
50:48You will have
50:49A lot of families
50:49You know
50:50What it is
50:51The cost to get
50:52Just a simple
50:53Two bedroom house
50:54You're looking at
50:54It's beyond the means
50:56Listen to me
50:57You're getting
50:57Over 900,000
50:59Yeah
50:59Last day
51:00And that is with
51:01Just building
51:02We're not even talking
51:03About furnishing
51:04In fact
51:04And everything
51:05That has to go with it
51:07Right
51:07So you know
51:08If it could be replicated
51:09Throughout the country
51:10To help our
51:11Or people
51:12I mean
51:13The thing is
51:14You have young people
51:14Growing up
51:15They want to start a family
51:16They want to have children
51:17And that opportunity
51:19Should be given to them
51:20Not many people
51:21Could say they own a home
51:23Yeah
51:24And it's getting worse
51:25Because
51:25Of course
51:25That's all you need to have
51:27I would tell you
51:27The average middle class person
51:30A teacher
51:30A policeman
51:31You can't get it on your own
51:33You can't get it
51:33No you can't
51:34It's difficult
51:34Because remember
51:35At the end of the day
51:35You had to purchase the land
51:37And then there's a
51:38There's a prohibitive cost
51:40And then you meet in
51:41The high cost of construction
51:43Of a home
51:44Captain
51:44At this point
51:45It seems like
51:46You need an all fours team
51:47To get a home
51:49I mean
51:49Just to say
51:50You own property
51:51Yes
51:52Persons will have
51:53Before it was
51:53Okay
51:54You need a partner
51:54Even if it's not
51:55An intimate partner
51:57It's two persons
51:57So you need more than two
51:58Now you need
51:59Oh
51:59You need more than two
52:00And now catch you
52:01An all fours team
52:02Yes
52:03You need an all fours team
52:04But that's where
52:05Family support comes in
52:06And the idea of
52:07You know
52:08And there's this other thing
52:10I look around
52:11I go around this country
52:13A lot
52:13And you see homes
52:14Not in good condition
52:15And maybe a granny there
52:18And you know
52:19Persons
52:20Persons who are within the family
52:21You know
52:22You have to sort out your business
52:23And get that home in order
52:24Because
52:25The cost of living
52:26The cost of a house
52:28Is very expensive
52:30And
52:31Commensurate with that
52:32Relief
52:32Is the cost of renting
52:34And that will increase
52:36You know
52:37Have the landlord tax
52:38Might increase it a bit
52:39But you know
52:41If this initiative
52:42Could be replicated
52:44You know
52:45We spent two days
52:46Putting down the foundation
52:47And the sources
52:48Yes
52:49I remember
52:49You showed us
52:50And because of the weather
52:52It stalled
52:53The activities of it
52:55Yes
52:55Because you saw us
52:57Pushing some backfill
52:58There that we had to put
53:00Around the property
53:00But when the house
53:01Was finished
53:02At 8.30 a.m
53:03We teamed around
53:04And move all the backfill
53:06And settle
53:07You know
53:08Around the property
53:09To make sure
53:09It was easy
53:10To walk around
53:11But you know
53:12These are things
53:13That I like to get into
53:15Because it's positive
53:16One
53:17It doesn't waste my time
53:18It makes people
53:20It sets people
53:21Yeah
53:22Happy
53:22And at the end of the day
53:24You get on with your life
53:25You will give them a gift
53:26Take care of it
53:28Give thanks to the Lord
53:29And just move on
53:30With your life
53:31And grow your family
53:32And you know
53:33Achieve what our goals
53:35You're all amazing
53:36Yeah
53:36I mean I tell you
53:37This all the time
53:38All the time
53:39You are the entire members
53:40And of course
53:41The persons who
53:41Support you as well
53:42And speaking of team members
53:44Some of your team members
53:45Are celebrating every day
53:46Yeah we have two buddies today
53:48Two up in north
53:49One Raquel
53:50And two
53:51Raquel
53:51Raquel came on board with me
53:54And this is important
53:54We were talking about this earlier
53:56She had a missing person
53:58In her family
53:59And we assisted her
54:01And she came on board
54:03Since then
54:03And has been part of our
54:05Northwest unit
54:07Port of Spain
54:07Digomartian area
54:08And she has been with the team since
54:11So happy birthday Raquel
54:13You continue to do your best
54:15And the other person
54:17Celebrating birthday today
54:19She is an interesting story
54:21He is in the middle
54:22His mom is on the left
