00:00Coming up on this episode of Orange County Chopper's Original.
00:04Leo's got some family members who have autism,
00:06and autism really affects so many of us.
00:08The chopper tells the story, really.
00:10I was thinking about a sensory bike.
00:12This is the first time that we're using an M8 Harley motor in it.
00:15Bend the round ball all the way around the back of the fender
00:18and then attach the metal.
00:20And that's a bullseye right there!
00:24I ran into some difficulties because I've never really been in this spot.
00:28You know, we didn't start the bike.
00:40We'll be right back.
01:02So we just finished the Greybull Chopper,
01:05and now, true to OCC fashion, we are on to the next chopper.
01:08And we're going to go pick up Christian and Jim,
01:11and we're going to head down to our buddy Leo's.
01:13We're going to talk to him about what does autism acceptance look like
01:17and how can we create an incredible chopper that actually brings awareness and acceptance.
01:36Welcome to Farm I Call of Abilities, where we don't recognize disabilities.
01:42The only disability that we really have is not understanding the abilities that these children have.
01:47We're trying to set up a program where we can bring children in that are autistic
01:50and teach them different levels of responsibilities and ways to move about through their lives,
01:56through equestrian therapy and also riding four-wheelers.
02:01Every child that is autistic has a level.
02:06I've seen children that come in with a level three that are nonverbal.
02:10They've walked out with showing excitement that the horses,
02:15they actually can participate and talk about what their experience was.
02:20When they came, couldn't say a word.
02:23Had no interest in people.
02:25And they leave, they just show this brightness, this happiness that they have.
02:29And it's just, it's the most rewarding thing to understand that I'm the one with the disability and not them.
02:38How we doing?
02:40Beautiful day for riding.
02:41How are you?
02:42Nice to meet you.
02:42How are you?
02:43Good.
02:43Hi, I'm Joanie.
02:45How are you?
02:45To move forward and to continue this program,
02:49I want to expand it more than just autism awareness.
02:52I want to make it autism awareness and acceptance.
02:55And I think taking a look at all this,
02:56it gives you a lot of insight into what the chopper would mean.
03:00You know what I mean?
03:00And I think that...
03:01Yeah, I think that's the most important part.
03:03The chopper tells the story, really, is what we always say.
03:06Yeah, we want to work with sensory.
03:07So we're kind of thinking about a sensory bite.
03:09How did you start?
03:10I grew up doing a lot of summer programs and working with kids.
03:17And I really loved it.
03:19I had my oldest kiddo, really young, and she's autistic.
03:24And then she's nine now.
03:28When your kids diagnose autistic,
03:30you just get handed this world of pamphlets that don't make sense.
03:36And you're just basically sent to deal with it on your own.
03:39And that's where it all gets confused.
03:42Just because you're autistic, your brain works differently.
03:44You don't...
03:45You get angry.
03:46You get overwhelmed.
03:47And people don't...
03:48I never get angry.
03:49People don't understand that, like, just because you get angry or frustrated,
03:52it's just how their brain works.
03:54They don't know how to...
03:55Everything's black and white for them.
03:57And the biggest thing for me, I was to say, you're part of that bike.
04:01The confidence, the levels, and they're friends.
04:04The kids around will be, like, amazed.
04:07Now they're the coolest kids on the block.
04:09I don't care, you know?
04:10I mean, that's what my goal is with this bike.
04:12And I like to take it around with my granddaughter
04:15and show the people how amazing these children are
04:19and how amazing this bike is going to help represent it.
04:22I want to make sure that I bring, you know, acceptance to autism.
04:27That's a great statement, and it's a great mission.
04:29And I believe that Leo and his family are certainly going to do that
04:35because they are pretty tenacious.
04:40How much are these wheels, seriously?
04:42Right?
04:43Look at how the, like, the contrast cut almost looks like diamonds.
04:48It almost reminds me of them.
04:50The old Trans Amp.
04:52Yes, yes.
04:53Yeah, yeah, the wheels, right?
04:55Yeah.
04:56Yeah, S&T does a really nice job other than Trans Amp.
04:59Anthony should be here any minute.
05:01Yeah, I think he said he's on his way over.
05:03I think if we all think really hard,
05:05he may just knock on the door.
05:07Oh!
05:09Hey, who's there?
05:10Yes.
05:12There it is.
05:13Hey, Anthony.
05:15Hey, Anthony.
05:16Thanks, man.
05:17There you go.
05:18Perfect.
05:18That's nice.
05:20You said this part's stretched back here?
05:23Yeah, we stretched it back here about three and a half inches
05:25because the touring transmission is so long
05:27with the oil tank built in
05:29that if you would have kept it in the stock location,
05:31the back of the tire would have hit the back of the oil pan.
05:34So we stretched it.
05:35You can't really tell.
05:36No, you really can tell.
05:37Yeah.
05:38Good job, man.
05:38There you go, man.
05:39Very clean.
05:39Have at it.
05:40Thanks, bro.
05:40You got it.
05:41Appreciate you.
05:43Get my next frame done.
05:44All right.
05:45Working on it.
05:45I got another one coming after that.
05:47Okay.
05:47Yeah.
05:52Good rotation.
05:53Is that what you want going on?
05:54You want to put the front end?
05:55Me and Mikey can put the front end together or something?
05:57I don't do front ends.
05:58Get over here, Mom.
05:59I only do rear.
06:16Are you using the Harley-Davidson primary?
06:21I'm doing a close primary, but it's a Harley-Davidson.
06:23So it's a stock M8, like, one of them.
06:26If you put the transmission in there the way it is you want.
06:28Let's just try it.
06:29We should just make it.
06:29Yeah, let's put it in.
06:30Take a look at it.
06:30I got the hardware.
06:32Get that fender under there.
06:36I'm assuming it's a Harley.
06:37The smaller one on this side.
06:38See, if it says right side, it's probably this side.
06:41I'm just guessing.
06:41I don't know.
06:42That's the line.
06:43Okay.
06:47I have a 1974 Harley that I bought new,
06:50in 1974 that's in the restaurant.
06:53And I kind of like the way the fender was done.
06:55And our Smith brothers did that.
06:57I wanted to try and duplicate that somewhat.
06:59But the bike that I was doing with him, the orthism bike.
07:03Okay.
07:03Show of hands for A.
07:04This is his version of democracy.
07:06For A.
07:07This is his version of democracy.
07:10Obviously, building this bike, it's for a good cause.
07:13Most of the bikes that we do, learn more about autistic people.
07:17It affects millions of Americans and just learn a little bit about them.
07:23What I did for Paul today was actually, we had a 117 motor that we got from Burt's that Burt's
07:28letting Paul use.
07:29And I actually tore it down for him, for the guys to get it powder coated, to match some of
07:34the colors on the frame and the covers and all that.
07:36Then this is an M8.
07:38So we're basically, what we're going to do is we're coming up with, going to use one of the other
07:41platforms to get rid of all the wiring harnesses and run a carburetor on it.
07:45So it's going to be kind of cool for Paul.
07:55Feedback, you idiot.
08:30I think that we got more done than I thought that we wouldn't get done.
08:33You know, we decided to do something a little bit different on the fender.
08:36Christian did the complete front end.
08:38The gas tank's on.
08:39We still got to build a sissy bar.
08:41We're going to run a king-queen seat.
08:42And then we got an exhaust, which is going to be, that's going to take a little time, too.
08:47But, I mean, for our first day, I think we did good.
08:53Drew bought two sets of handlebars in there.
08:56It was kind of difficult for me to figure out, really, which one I like better because they were both
08:59so cool.
09:00A lot of times I like to have other people's opinions.
09:03I still felt that there was a pretty close matchup to either or.
09:07Get the other set just for ha-ha.
09:09Yeah, yeah.
09:10Christian, these are nice.
09:11You say, bro?
09:11Yeah, they're heavy, too, man.
09:13Yeah, they're heavy.
09:14Cool, right?
09:14Yeah, it's got rods in there.
09:18Okay, we're going to have to take a vote here.
09:21I like the first one.
09:22We got these, which they're very cool.
09:25I like that it has the rods already in it.
09:27But these in chrome are really going to be a showstopper.
09:31Hey, you're an A guy?
09:33I think A's going to match the sissy bar more with a twist.
09:38Yeah.
09:39I like them both, but I think...
09:41Oh, they're both great, but I think that's going to match.
09:43That is one or the other.
09:44A.
09:44You're an A.
09:46You're an A.
09:47A.
09:48You're an A.
09:49I'm going to say A because I want B's for myself.
09:53Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
09:54There you go.
09:55Mike?
09:56I like B.
09:57You like B?
09:58You like these ones?
09:58I like B.
09:59But you're outboating.
10:00I know.
10:00You're going to go back outside.
10:01Okay.
10:03Come back in.
10:05Come back in when you're ready to say A.
10:07Okay.
10:08I guess a twisted one, probably more, that's like a half twist, isn't it?
10:13Or just, you know?
10:14Yeah, this is like a half twist.
10:15Yeah, I kind of do that.
10:16I'm going to do more like this.
10:18Okay.
10:19More like this.
10:20I mean, I like those a lot.
10:21I just made those the other day.
10:22A or B?
10:23I mean, I would go with B.
10:25I like those.
10:26I mean, don't go wrong.
10:27I like the full twisted ones.
10:28You like that better?
10:30It's a tough call.
10:31We might have to flip the coin.
10:32You know what I mean?
10:33But, okay, show of hands for A.
10:36I like the risers, though.
10:38Cleanse it up.
10:42This is his version of democracy.
10:43He's got to put out what he wants.
10:45It doesn't matter what we want.
10:45Yeah, you guys can do what you can vote.
10:47All right.
10:48I got s***.
10:49You're going to go back to work.
10:50It's up to you, Mike.
10:51Yeah, I'm a delegator.
10:52I'm a delegator.
10:53Okay.
10:54We got a lot to do today.
10:55Drew's going to be working on the sissy bar.
10:57We're bringing in Eric to do the Magneto.
11:06It fits right on the fender perfect.
11:09I'm going to go straight.
11:10It's perfectly straight all the way up.
11:12Don't work with him.
11:15Anthony knew a gentleman who makes Magnetos
11:17to convert all of the Harley stuff over to chopper style,
11:20get rid of a lot of pieces and stuff we don't need.
11:22So Eric's coming over in a little while
11:23to help us put it together and teach us all about it.
11:28With this setup, you have the Magneto
11:30and you have the two wires,
11:31or you can run all four plug wires,
11:33run into the plugs,
11:35and you can literally run the bike just off of that.
11:37Right.
11:37Put the Magneto on.
11:38All right.
11:40Look all right?
11:41Yeah.
11:42We're going to have a badass bite.
11:43Oh, yeah.
11:45It's like a cutaway of how the impulse coupler works.
11:49Let's see.
11:49It stops a paw.
11:50And this is the same technology as airplanes still use today.
11:54So this is the first time that we're using an M8 Harley motor in it.
11:58The wiring's a little different.
12:00Generally, you know, from the factory,
12:02there's all types of sensors.
12:03There's like 5,000 wires.
12:05There's computers, everything else, fuel pump.
12:07So what we did was we eliminated a lot of the wiring
12:11by using a Magneto setup and going to carburetor.
12:14Having such a prestigious title as delegator,
12:17I feel it's my duty when my father's away
12:20to really lean on these guys and give them a hard time.
12:23What's going on over here, huh?
12:24You know, I got a job to do like anyone.
12:29I think it worked.
12:30You know, I kind of kept them moving, you know?
12:32And I don't think we'd be as far as we got today without me.
12:37You're scared.
12:38Yeah, Del ran away.
12:40Del's scared of you.
12:41The sissy bar is coming along.
12:44Definitely taking longer than I think everybody's expecting,
12:46but it looks amazing, so it's worth the time.
12:48Christian's been knocking out a bunch of stuff with the tank.
12:51We had a gentleman come over today
12:52that's working on a conversion for the M8.
12:55Really smart guy, really interesting,
12:56so I'm curious to see how that all comes together.
12:59But it looks amazing on the bike.
13:00I think it's going to be a cool build, for sure.
13:07I brought Del here, who's a super, super guy,
13:10and how I know him is we do a bike week here,
13:13and he's brought a few of his bikes here,
13:16and he just does amazing work.
13:19My name's Del Battle.
13:20I'm from Crown Point, Indiana.
13:22Working with Drew, he showed me certain things to do,
13:26tips and whatnot, and really it ain't that bad.
13:29And I'm going to incorporate it in some of the builds
13:32I'm doing back home now.
13:33Yeah, Drew, he's a good guy.
13:40Pay me that tour.
13:41This doesn't have any different answer.
13:43That's a good tour than it is.
13:44It's got to be a better way.
13:46And I'll tell you what's a better way.
13:48A better way is if you have something
13:50with a lot more leverage.
13:52Yeah, you know what I mean?
13:53It's the same, too.
13:54Yeah.
13:55You want to try it, Paul?
13:56Give me that.
13:57Hey.
14:06Give me my job.
14:08So it was cool because I got to show Paul
14:10how to do it the old school way,
14:11which is, you know, the torch,
14:13you know, and then twisting it,
14:15the certain styles that you wanted it,
14:16so it was a lot of fun.
14:17I like it.
14:19Good job.
14:20That's the process, man.
14:21It takes a while.
14:22You got to finesse it a little bit,
14:23you know what I'm saying?
14:24So maybe you did 30
14:26and then the four-inch emblem
14:27over the top of it.
14:2934 overall.
14:30Yeah.
14:31Does that make sense?
14:32Yeah.
14:34Oh, we're doing pretty good, I think,
14:35you know, for two days.
14:36We've got the front end on.
14:37We've got the calipers on.
14:39The wheels lined up,
14:41handlebars we've got,
14:42so we're doing pretty good.
14:43Tomorrow, I'd like to see
14:45at least a sissy bar.
14:48and the seat pan made
14:50for the king-queen seat,
14:51and then we'll go right to the exhaust,
14:54which probably would be
14:54the most time-consuming.
14:56So we got the tank.
14:58I mounted it up,
14:59welded it down.
15:00I was thinking you can even do it
15:02when you can run the hose
15:03like this even,
15:05instead of,
15:06or you can just do a straight hit.
15:07It don't matter, you know?
15:08Same.
15:09Yeah, so put it there.
15:10Something like that.
15:18Well, of course,
15:19it's going to be a clear hose
15:20so you can see the fuel level in there.
15:22We decided we wanted,
15:23you know,
15:24just like a fuel gauge on the side,
15:25like a basic old chopper fuel gauge
15:27where it's just a fuel line
15:28so you can just, you know,
15:29visibly just look
15:30and see your fuel level.
15:31This type of fabrication,
15:33I've never done.
15:34So I'm picking up,
15:36and it's a blast, like I say.
15:39It's a good time.
15:40Everybody is great,
15:41and can't wait till tomorrow.
15:43I look forward to coming back tomorrow.
15:52Hey, I got a lot of threads in there.
15:54I beefed it up.
15:56Yeah, Christian's lathing some parts
15:58to put into the battery box area
16:00in order to shim them up
16:02so that we can fully assemble the part.
16:05I don't know what he's doing,
16:07to be honest with you.
16:08I'm kind of watching him,
16:09keeping him company, you know.
16:12Some days I'm just sitting here
16:13and I'm just waiting for that second hand
16:16to keep racing around the clock, you know.
16:30That's pretty, that's pretty close.
16:33Yeah.
16:34I'd take that.
16:35The other one's not good, right?
16:37Yeah, we got to pull that one in just a tad.
16:39Yeah.
16:43Yeah, and everything else,
16:44this side's out.
16:45The fender's got to be,
16:47the fender's not really square here.
16:50You know what I'm saying?
16:51And we got it right and it was worth it
16:53because it's really a nice sissy bar.
16:56A lot of time in that sissy bar.
16:58And then Drew's going to be working on the exhaust,
17:02which I'm really excited about.
17:05Let me see, brother.
17:07Yeah, that's cool.
17:09That's cool, man.
17:10That's cool.
17:12That's cool, man.
17:14I think it's turning out better
17:16than we had expected.
17:18Do you want to pass the axle?
17:20I'd like to do it.
17:22I'd like to do it like this.
17:23You want it really close to the...
17:25You want them dual like that?
17:27If you've got a pain in the ass, I want them.
17:29We can do it.
17:30I think that'll look cool.
17:32Okay.
17:33Just have them parallel like that?
17:35Yeah, one side.
17:35Yeah, it could be, you know,
17:36you could leave a little space in between.
17:38Yeah, yeah.
17:39You know what I mean?
17:39Whatever.
17:40Blow your ears out.
17:41Right?
17:42So I'm going to jump on the exhaust.
17:43We're going to do like a two-inch exhaust,
17:45and we're going to do like a really cool up-sweep,
17:47old-school chopper style,
17:49then probably just go real tall.
17:52This is keeping it up over here, you know?
17:54Right.
17:56Let's mark it and shear it.
17:59We could do that, right?
18:00That's about where that's going to be,
18:01no matter what, right?
18:04So...
18:07Yeah, that's good.
18:09Let's get it all shifted.
18:10All right, I say cheese is eaten.
18:13Let's just press it down a little bit again.
18:22Back in the 70s.
18:25You want to take it over here,
18:27or you want to...
18:27We're going to have to add a piece of base.
18:30Go up.
18:33There's a little bit.
18:34There you go, right there.
18:35That'll work.
18:40It's the top of your finger.
18:42Oh, no, like this top.
18:48That's good.
18:55I don't know, man.
18:56It's looking pretty baller.
18:57I mean, it's a perfect fit.
19:01I don't know.
19:02Wait a second.
19:03Tell me when it's straight.
19:04Got to get it right first.
19:06You guys, man.
19:08You and your buddy Drew over here.
19:11Shooting the darts in the dark.
19:14Get going on making the pipes.
19:16I think I'm going to do like an upsweep setup on this one.
19:19And that's what Paul was wanting.
19:21We're going to do something real tall.
19:24And, yeah, it'll be kind of old school chopper stuff.
19:26It'll look good.
19:27All right, so now I've got something to work with.
19:29I want three quarter to two inch.
19:31So we're going to bolt these into the motor.
19:33I mean, what do you think, Derek?
19:36I like your idea from yesterday's side by side.
19:40That'll give it a more of a one-of-a-kind look.
19:43Let me see you, brother.
19:45Yeah, that's cool.
19:47That's cool, man.
19:50Right, bro?
19:52That's nice.
19:53Hold up there for a second.
19:55Don't move.
19:57Smile.
19:59Never mind.
20:00Don't smile.
20:01All right, good.
20:02Back to work.
20:12Come look at it and see if I like it.
20:15I'm the one that's got to like it.
20:19Let me know, because I only got, I got, well, I guess we got a little bit more straight piece.
20:23I like it.
20:25We're going to go a little bit higher on the sissy bar.
20:28So I'm just trying to tie in this last little 45 that I need to do, so.
20:33Today went good.
20:35It's our fourth day.
20:36I think that for, you know, we're not working with our huge crew like with the OCC we had in
20:43New York,
20:43but I think that, I think that we're getting a lot done.
20:47Nice, smooth boost.
20:48Very good.
20:57So building these bikes back-to-back like we are doing, it builds the tension and the stress level a
21:02little bit.
21:02So Paul had a great idea.
21:04Let's do something to blow off some steam, some team building.
21:07So there's a place down the street, Peepaw's.
21:09They have some axe throwing in the back.
21:10We figured this is a great way to get off some steam, have some fun, and just get out of
21:14the shop for a few hours.
21:15So, welcome on in.
21:16Name is Nigel.
21:18This is Peepaw's Garage here.
21:19We are an official waddle venue, World Accenture League.
21:21So you guys are going to be throwing on the same style boards that pros compete on.
21:25I am a certified coach for that organization.
21:27More importantly, at least for me, is I am a certified judge for that organization.
21:31So I will definitely be judging you guys here today.
21:33Nice, smooth boost.
21:34Very good.
21:36Not bad.
21:37Competition.
21:39Juan, that is actually one of my...
21:41Yeah.
21:42Very good.
21:44Damn.
21:44I got it.
21:45Who would have known that Mikey is like an axe throwing god?
21:52And that's a bullseye right there.
21:54You know, the guy picked up an axe.
21:55I think this second throw, he was nailing it.
21:58There it was.
21:59That's a solid stick right there.
22:01Christian and Paul did really well, as did Joni and myself.
22:04But, yeah, those three were really on target.
22:07I was pretty happy with my performance.
22:09The guy that took it away was Christian.
22:12But I still think the best...
22:14The best thrower here was Michael.
22:18Hey-oh!
22:19There we go.
22:20It's pretty cool.
22:20I don't think any of us has ever done it before.
22:23A lot of fun, a lot of stress reliefs.
22:25And I think it was a good time.
22:26But it's time to hit back to the shop and get that bike built.
22:32My name is Billy Rude.
22:34I actually work at Burt's Barracuda Harley-Davidson,
22:36which is right next door here to Paul's shop.
22:38Me and Paul kind of, you know, met in passing in the shop there.
22:41And anything I can help out with, I try.
22:43The spacers and then your pivot shaft.
22:49Yeah.
22:50Grab that.
22:52Hey.
22:53What's his name?
22:55Help!
22:57Réalisez-vous ?
23:00Tout le monde ?
23:01Tout le monde est là, je suis allé ?
23:02Oui, on est là ?
23:03Nous allons faire une photo de la primeur.
23:05Nous avons une photo de la primeur.
23:07Si vous avez une photo,
23:08vous pouvez me refaire.
23:27So we gotta get back to work
23:34Yo, buddy
23:40Man, that looks nice
23:44What are you doing here?
23:45Last minute decision
23:46What did you do, come all the way down?
23:48Yeah
23:48When?
23:50My man Ken flew down
23:53Surprise, surprise
23:54The colors are great
23:55The beige color is really nice
23:59I really like that color
24:01To me, it's nostalgic
24:02Almost looks like psychedelic, man
24:04Wow, that's really nice
24:06As usual, they always give me that real tight timeline
24:10Supposed to ship it out
24:12Didn't quite make it
24:13So I had to jump on a plane
24:15Put it in my suitcase
24:16And get it here
24:17Tried to replicate some of the toys
24:20That they use for autism
24:21The poppets
24:22And the rear fender
24:24We did the fidget spinners
24:25Mounted those on
24:26It was a little cool add-on
24:28Every bike we do
24:29I find that there's a message in it
24:32The more the message gets out
24:34To more and more people
24:36The better it is
24:37And so that's kind of my philosophy
24:40Is, you know, like
24:41Let people that don't
24:44They're not informed
24:45Get informed
25:11We're off the bottom
25:14Yes
25:17Good design
25:18That's it, man
25:18This bike
25:21The car and everything
25:22It would look great, you know
25:24What do you want to do?
25:25Matt, we're over there
25:29Obviously
25:30I love the bars
25:31I do too
25:32They're really different, you know
25:33They're cool
25:35Everything's pretty cool
25:36The old man's got eyes
25:37In the back of his head
25:38He's got his head
25:40Fidget spinner
25:41It's a spinner
25:44That's wild, ain't it?
25:45That is wild
25:46The tank for the autism bike
25:49Is my all-time favorite
25:50I always said I never had a favorite
25:52But there's just something magical about it
25:55It's the colors
25:56It's the feel
25:58I could not have been happier
25:59Than I was with that tank
26:01The bike looks amazing, doesn't it?
26:03The bike does look amazing, honestly
26:05How nice is that bike?
26:06I don't think I've ever seen a white engine
26:08It's not a white
26:09It's white and black
26:10You want to argue over what color that is?
26:12Oh
26:12You're colorblind, so stay out of it
26:14I picked the colors, so
26:16Of course you did
26:17If it's done right, you picked it
26:18Right, Jim?
26:20Pretty much
26:20Yeah
26:21So
26:22Actually, tomorrow, if everything goes good
26:24We should be able to get pretty close
26:27Bill's coming in tomorrow morning
26:28He's going to do the primary
26:29Hopefully, we'll get the exhaust tomorrow
26:32Uh, so if we get the owls coming in tomorrow
26:35So that'll be a big help
26:37Again, like I always say
26:39As long as something else don't come up
26:41I think that, uh, I think we should
26:44We should be on time
26:50Yeah
26:52That makes a difference
26:53Yeah
26:54Boom, right through the whole billboard
26:56Yeah, you can't ask for a better plan
26:58It might be right, uh-huh
27:01Oh, that goes right out there
27:02Well, there was two here
27:05And there was two there
27:06Just like that
27:09Yeah
27:09Good, man
27:10Uh, LED Forever
27:11They do all the bike events around here
27:13Uh-huh
27:14So when you said you wanted to put LEDs on here
27:15They were the first ones I thought of
27:17They're local, which is good
27:18So we had, uh, Manny come in, uh, to do the LED lights
27:22And I think that, uh, I think that it was kind of appropriate, uh, for the autism bike
27:29Because, you know, the colors and stuff like that we tried to blend in
27:34I think if we do a multi-color kit, it would be amazing
27:37Because you can go with all the nice colors you got on the bike
27:40Right
27:40And I think your key fob control will work good on this one
27:43Yeah, we can turn 18 colors
27:45Light it up, man
27:46Make a Christmas tree out of it
27:47Christmas tree?
27:51Sit down
27:53I want to tell you how proud of the man you've become
27:58Thanks, Mike, that means a lot coming to me
28:00Yep
28:01Proud of what you've accomplished here
28:03Yeah
28:03Yeah
28:05I'm so impressed I was overwhelmed
28:07And coming out here in his fair
28:11And, uh, he didn't
28:13He didn't return the words at all
28:17I just like spending time with my dad
28:20He's old
28:21He's really old
28:24He's older than he looks
28:45Yeah
28:45Oh, yeah
28:47Dude, that frame's cool
28:49Look good?
28:50Blue, blue, blue, blue, blue
28:52It looks amazing, man
28:53The colors are going to be nice
28:55The kids are going to like it, you know
28:56Yeah
28:56Which is important
28:57Manny from LED Forever
28:58Put lights underneath the bike
29:00Underneath the gas tank
29:02And they'll change color
29:03So that should be, you know
29:04When we unveil a bike for the kids
29:06They should get a kick out of that, too
29:08Pretty sharp
29:13How you guys doing?
29:14Good, how are you?
29:15How are you?
29:16Good
29:16Coming in here to work on a bike
29:17Or what?
29:19Huh?
29:20You got your mechanic's license?
29:22Um, sure
29:24It's somewhere, right?
29:25You just can't find it
29:26We had an attorney here today
29:28And, uh, my wife knows his mom
29:30Evidently he's interested in bikes
29:32And stuff like that
29:33So, uh, we invited him over
29:35To get a little bit involved
29:36In the bike that we're working on now
29:38This guy's going to take your job, Mike
29:40Oh, man, that's not hard
29:42That was easy
29:43There you go, man
29:45This kid's a born rider
29:48Mom needs to get pictures, Mom
29:49Look mean
29:50Real mean
29:52There you go
29:53Yeah
29:54Something doesn't look right here
29:55You need the helmet or something?
29:57No, no
29:57You gotta have sunglasses
29:58Or that would be cool
29:59You see how cool I am?
30:01That's because of the sunglasses
30:03What do you mean?
30:04Uh, jeez
30:07You're good, bro
30:09Boom, there's one on the other side, too
30:11Yeah, there's one on the other side
30:18An Orange County Chopper shirt
30:21With my signature on it
30:23Don't put it on eBay, okay?
30:25All right
30:26I won't
30:27I'm just gonna show it off
30:29You're gonna show it off?
30:30Good, man
30:31It was a great experience for me
30:33But I'm sure it was more of an experience for him, you know
30:38Good to see that he got involved
30:41And I know that when he left here
30:43He had a big smile on his face
30:45All right, good job
30:46Thank you
30:47All right
30:50Okay
30:51We got all the spark plugs in there, right?
30:53Yeah
30:57There's four?
30:58How do you know which one go where, though?
31:00Almond flour
31:01It doesn't matter
31:02The front is the front
31:02And the rear is the rear
31:03And that's why we had to switch these around
31:05Because we had it wrong at first
31:06We didn't switch them back by accident, did we?
31:08No
31:24It's not coming back
31:25There's
31:26I mean, it sounds good
31:28Try that
31:39It's been a pretty long day
31:40And the bike started for a little while
31:43And the throttle
31:44Actually, the spring was bad on the carburetor
31:48But we've been
31:49You know, we put the Magneto on there
31:51Which nobody's really that familiar with the Magneto
31:54Especially the newer bikes like this
31:57Or even this motor period
31:58But, you know, right now we can't get it going
32:01You know, we've worn the battery down
32:03The guy that put the Magneto in
32:07That runs that company
32:09He's going to come in the morning
32:10And everybody seems to think
32:13It's something with the Magneto
32:16I'm not worried about getting the bike started
32:18We're going to get it started
32:20It's not like it's uncommon
32:23It happens to the best of us
32:25And, you know, the main thing is to persevere
32:28And get it done
32:32Then I spin at 180
32:34So my dot is there
32:35And the other dot is atop
32:36I just wonder if that cam timing's not off
32:38With going the way you're going to top dead center on this
32:41And it's not letting it pick it up or something
32:44I'm not sure
32:44I don't know how this won't work
32:45Why don't you put it on your top dead center
32:47Let's see what a cam timing's at
32:48Okay
32:49Can you get it to that?
32:50Let's just take a look at that
32:51And see if those dots are off
32:52Then the cam timing's definitely off
32:54So these MA conversions with the Magneto
32:56Are something we've never done before
32:57Because usually Christian's pretty good at figuring it out
33:01Diagnosing it and fixing it
33:02But this was a little more than we've all done before
33:04And a little more than we're used to
33:06Anything with the Harleys even
33:08Like even when I'm doing not adjustables
33:09I have to set my cam timing there
33:12Drop the pushrods in
33:13And then everything will start
33:15Once you're there
33:16So like I'm putting my sprockets on
33:17So once I put those sprockets on
33:19I'll line my cam up
33:21I'll line my crank up
33:22With those two dice
33:23So my crank's lined up now to my cam
33:25So that's how you get the timing on that
33:27We keep trying the process of elimination
33:30And thus far we haven't been successful with it
33:33We have the right people here
33:36I guess the thing is that we just have to keep going
33:38Never really been in this spot per se before
33:43It's a different motor
33:45Things are a little bit different than the usual
33:48So it does make it a little bit more difficult
33:51I do believe that eventually we'll get it
33:54We got to sit down with Leo and his daughter
33:58And his son-in-law
33:59And again great people
34:01I think that they struggle daily
34:04With people's inability to just accept
34:09That many of these children
34:12Are just a little bit different
34:13So how's Olivia?
34:16She's wonderful
34:17She's been very excited about this whole
34:20Thing we got going on
34:22Today she's a little apprehensive
34:25You know as we know
34:26Some days she comes in
34:27She likes to be part of the film
34:28And then other days
34:29It just gets overwhelming
34:31Exactly the same way
34:32For real
34:33That's a lot
34:35You know people talk about awareness
34:36And awareness is great
34:37A lot of people are aware
34:39But to truly just accept
34:42And embrace the love
34:43And everything these kids have
34:46Is way more important I think
34:47The biggest thing about it
34:48Is just to show her the support
34:51That out there in the real world
34:52She doesn't get overwhelmed
34:54Right
34:54And you know
34:56She's really come a long ways
34:57I mean throughout this whole
34:59Experience, the process
35:01Meeting all these new people
35:03Being part of something
35:04That's bigger than her
35:07It's been amazing for me
35:08And I know
35:09You know
35:10I got tears in my eyes already
35:11I mean
35:13I'm too big to cry
35:14But you know
35:14Here it is
35:15So
35:16That's why I wear sunglasses
35:18I got mine on my head
35:21So as parents
35:22What would be your summation
35:24Of it
35:24What
35:24If you have an autistic child
35:27What does that mean?
35:28She's living in a world
35:29That's not accommodating to her
35:31Some days
35:32Like yesterday
35:33Was a very good day for her
35:35She could have done anything
35:36Today
35:36A little bit of a rough day
35:37So she's not here
35:38Because she's a low functioning day
35:40More like
35:41What we're doing
35:43Is we're sending out a message
35:44And I don't think that message
35:47Gets out there
35:48Enough
35:48So what you're talking about here
35:50People don't know
35:51What you're talking about
35:52For the most part
35:53I agree
35:54You know what I mean?
35:55Absolutely
35:55So really the whole
35:57As far as I'm concerned
35:59The bike's always a tool
36:01But I think that
36:02We have to create the message
36:04Yes
36:04You know what I mean?
36:05And then from there
36:07The bike kind of takes it over
36:09Because you're going to use that
36:10As a tool
36:11For people
36:12When they come around
36:13Whatever events
36:14Or whatever it is
36:16There's something to talk about there
36:18Whether it's kids or parents
36:22It's all about that
36:23How are we looking on a bike for tomorrow?
36:26Huh?
36:29Yeah, yeah
36:31I think we're okay
36:33Does it have gas?
36:35It needs a little more
36:36Because we need to have to start it
36:39Never really been in this spot
36:41You know, we didn't start the bike
36:43Start it!
36:44Start it!
36:45Start it!
36:51Good!
36:53Good!
36:54Right!
37:11All right!
