00:00Previously on Project Runway Junior.
00:03Your challenge is to create a date night look
00:07for the firefighter's wife or girlfriend.
00:12What do you like to wear?
00:13I'm such a, like, downer for you.
00:15Is there any way in the world we would know this is you?
00:18That's what I saw.
00:19I actually really like it.
00:21I have literally turned my look around.
00:23It kind of looks big.
00:24Yes.
00:25I decide to just scrap it.
00:27Cut this real quick.
00:28There's not enough time.
00:31Feeling hot and spicy.
00:33I mean, I look good, honey.
00:34Sorry, but this looks like someone from Carnival.
00:37It's just a robe on top of a dress.
00:39Cartier, you are the winner of this challenge.
00:41Thank you so much.
00:43Ally, I am sorry you're out.
00:47Bye, Ally.
01:00What the heck?
01:01Whoa.
01:02What is this?
01:03Oh, my favorite.
01:04Oh, real food.
01:05I wonder if we get to eat that.
01:06Is this an Italian-themed challenge?
01:07I love Italian food.
01:08Oh, my God.
01:09Oh.
01:10Oh.
01:11Hey.
01:12Look at him go.
01:13Buena sera.
01:14Ciao.
01:15Welcome to our Italian feast courtesy of Carrabba's Italian Grill.
01:16Yes.
01:17Yes.
01:18I love Italian food.
01:19I'm Italian.
01:20It just didn't click in my head that the food in front of me is Italian food.
01:21I wear glasses, but they don't work very well.
01:41Please give a warm welcome to Brittnee Deloge from Carrabba's Italian Grill.
01:48We at Carrabba's are so proud to be part of a show with such amazing talents.
01:55At Carrabba's Italian Grill, we prepare Italian dishes made from scratch every day in an open
02:01kitchen.
02:02And when I think of Italy, food is one of the first things that comes to mind.
02:05And designers, do you know what else Italy is known for?
02:08Fashion.
02:09That's right!
02:10Italy is and has always been one of the leading countries in high-end fashion.
02:15Our culture is firmly grounded in hundreds of years of tradition, but it has a flair
02:20toward contemporary and modern taste.
02:24For this challenge, you will use this inspiring country as the jumping-off point for your design.
02:30Woo!
02:31Your looks should be high-end, and they should be suitable to walk the runway at Milan Fashion
02:35Week.
02:36You have one day for this challenge.
02:38Yay!
02:39Would you like to know what the winner of this challenge will receive?
02:42Yes.
02:43Brittany?
02:44The winner of this challenge will win a trip to Italy.
02:47Oh!
02:48Shut up!
02:49Are you serious?
02:51Oh my god!
02:52Whoa!
02:53Heck yeah!
02:54Woo!
02:55My mom's gonna be so mad at me if I don't win.
02:57My mom is gonna punish me if I don't win this challenge.
02:59She's been wanting to go to Italy for like years and years and years.
03:02I'm sick of being at the bottom.
03:03I'm not gonna be low again.
03:04I will fight you guys.
03:06A trip to Italy would be so cool.
03:08I've only left Idaho like a handful of times.
03:10You're gonna have 30 minutes to sketch.
03:12Then we're going shopping at Mood with a budget of $300.
03:19Woo!
03:20All right.
03:21Brittany, thank you so much for being here today.
03:23And designers, please give Brittany and Carrabba's Italian Grill a big thank you.
03:29Thank you, designers.
03:30Bye, guys.
03:31Bye.
03:32Bye.
03:33Thank you, Brittany.
03:34Now, your sketching time begins.
03:37And eat, eat, eat.
03:39Heck yeah.
03:40So good.
03:42The things that inspire me the most are the colors and the architecture of all the buildings.
03:48They sort of have these like curved lines and they have these really strong angles.
03:52Is Eden having fun?
03:54No, it's coming to me.
03:55It's coming.
03:56This is my process.
03:57When I think of Italy, for some reason, I think of black Dior-styled suits.
04:03I also think of Swiss cheese.
04:05I think of like Swiss knives.
04:08And then so I'm like going into military mode.
04:11So I'm sketching this drapless military-inspired dress with like pocket details and like a kangaroo
04:18pouch and a train.
04:20I'm gonna do like this really deep, pretty ombre that looks like, um, I'll show you like
04:26the little picture like this.
04:27Oh, that's so pretty.
04:28I am sketching this look inspired by the sunrise over Italy.
04:33A long gown painted into this sunrise design.
04:37She won a challenge.
04:38You know, she's all confident.
04:39She's gonna paint this do a thing.
04:41I'm really excited that I won the last challenge, but I don't have immunity.
04:44I spent a lot of time either safe or on the top, so I'm feeling pretty good.
04:48All right, designers.
04:49Time's up.
04:50Let's head off to mood.
04:51Yay!
04:52Woo!
04:53Speak to me.
04:54I want to do something that reflects my personal design style because at this point in the competition,
05:09you want to stay true to who you are as a designer, but also create something innovative and cutting-edge.
05:14Okay, awesome.
05:16That's literally Italy.
05:17That's literally Italy.
05:18Yeah!
05:19I'm gonna get a lot of that.
05:20I'll be back though.
05:21I'm gonna find velvet.
05:22I'm so excited for this challenge.
05:23I want to do a jumpsuit.
05:24It's very flowy on the bottom and a really like cool top and back.
05:27Very like Milan Fashion Week.
05:29Very high-end.
05:30Ooh, yeah, that looks nice.
05:32I know it would definitely be one of these.
05:34My design is the tailored, sculpted jacket that's gonna like accentuate G's hips with like a black cigarette pan.
05:40I instantly run to the wool suiting that I know is gonna work so well with like the hip pads of the coat.
05:46Thank you, Mr. Tarek.
05:47Designers, you have one minute remaining.
05:50I'm really scared I'm gonna have to return my cup.
05:53What's 33?
05:56Oh!
05:57Well, you're way over budget.
06:00That's not even like a misstep of being like, oh no, like could someone give me like $10?
06:04Like no, girl.
06:05All right, Izzy, you have to make some decisions.
06:06Okay.
06:07I'm gonna get rid of this red.
06:08My math is good.
06:09Like I got an A- in math, but I got overwhelmed.
06:14This pink.
06:15I'm so sad.
06:16I really need to make sure I don't make any mistakes because I really don't have any fabric to waste.
06:21294.70.
06:23Ugh.
06:24All right, designers, time is up.
06:26Thank you, Mood.
06:28Honey, I'm home.
06:29Hi, Tim.
06:30Hi, Tim.
06:31Hi, everyone.
06:32You have one day for this challenge.
06:33I know you'll take advantage of the Brothers Sewing and Embroidery Studio.
06:47I will be back later to check in with each of you, and after that you will have model fitting.
06:52And I have a lovely surprise for you.
06:55Carrabba's Italian Grill has set up a buffet in your lounge.
06:59So, enjoy it, all right?
07:00I will see you later.
07:02Thank you very much, Tim.
07:03Work hard.
07:04Look how much you got done.
07:05This is not even in your clothes.
07:06Well, you have stuff done.
07:07I'm sewing a lining on the front top of my top.
07:20My design is a pair of shorts that have suspenders on them, and then this coat shirt thing that
07:27has big sleeves.
07:28I'm doing shorts because I don't think Fashion Week has to have things that are dressy and
07:32flowy and all that.
07:33I think they can have things that are more whimsical, so that's what I'm going for.
07:37My look is coming along really, really well.
07:41I'm doing this really intricate detailing, like I'm cutting out these different shapes,
07:45and I'm sewing them on, and I hope that it looks good and not crazy or anything.
07:49I'm getting concerned about my colors.
07:51I'm going to go steal some of Cartier's paint.
07:53I was planning on getting like eight colors, but I ended up with four, and two of them I
07:56don't like.
07:57Oh.
07:58I went over budget.
07:59I didn't get all the colors that I wanted, so I'm going to paint it out on the fabric,
08:02and then cut those pieces out, and pretend that it's the same fabric.
08:06Do you think I could use this as a paintbrush?
08:07Are you lint rolling that on?
08:09I don't have a paintbrush, so I have to use this.
08:13It might look kind of strange, but I'm totally going to win this challenge and go to Italy,
08:17so everyone needs to back off.
08:19Haters.
08:20Cartier is my hashtag best friend.
08:27Cartier, are you painting your whole dress?
08:29Yes.
08:30Oh.
08:31I'm excited to see it.
08:32Oh, thanks.
08:33My look is coming along pretty well.
08:35I have the bodice completely lined and constructed, and I'm just working on painting the skirt.
08:41If this turns out the way that I want it to, then it will have a really big impact coming
08:45down the runway.
08:46I hope that was water and not oil, or else I will be mad AF.
08:53What?
08:54There's like a stain on my dress right now.
08:57I don't know how that got there, but it better be water and not oil.
09:01I will cry.
09:02Why is this happening?
09:04I like start freaking out.
09:07I like steam it all with this iron and try and see if like water will get it out.
09:11Oh, no.
09:12It's oil.
09:13How the heck did I get oil on my dress?
09:16No.
09:17I cannot send a stained dress down the runway.
09:21This will be the actual death of my design.
09:24Coming up.
09:25I'm gonna die.
09:26Looks crafty no matter what.
09:29I'm seeing the dressmaker again.
09:31Like, what do you want?
09:32It's a very strange dress.
09:34I'm gonna disagree with you.
09:35I don't even know who I am as a designer anymore.
09:37I don't think I would wear it.
09:38I don't want this to be the end.
09:40That was really intense.
09:51For this challenge, we have to design a look that could walk the runway in Milan Fashion Week.
09:57Cartier, you have too much going on. This was too ambitious. Why are you like this?
10:03He has never once said, why are you like this?
10:05Tim has never said that, but Cartier says that, so she needed Tim to speak in her terms.
10:09Yeah.
10:11Do we have a stain removing pen?
10:14When I'm sewing my dress, I look and there's this oil stain on it and I'm like, are you kidding me?
10:19How the heck did I get oil on my dress?
10:21Oh, I'm gonna die.
10:25Are you using the dream machine?
10:27I am using the dream machine.
10:29Intriguing.
10:30Is it like a design?
10:31Just a patch.
10:32Just a patch.
10:33Yeah.
10:34I am doing something different.
10:36The stakes are pretty high.
10:37One, I don't want to get eliminated.
10:39And two, winning a trip to Italy would be awesome.
10:45Is it good?
10:46Yeah.
10:47I just, I literally just want the pasta.
10:49I'm like craving the pasta right now.
10:52Oh my gosh, Cartier, that seriously is so gorgeous.
10:56I love it.
10:57I have finished painting, but this cotton fabric that I've used on the bodice doesn't really hold the paint quite in the same way that the satin does on the skirt.
11:06So I decide that I'm going to scrap this cotton top and start again with the satin top.
11:13Is this gonna be connected?
11:14Yeah, it's a jumpsuit.
11:15It's gonna be like one or two?
11:16Yeah, it's a jumpsuit.
11:17My look's looking good.
11:18I have to place that print like impeccably.
11:20Like it doesn't even look like a seam on the side.
11:22I like the bottom parts because of the way it's cut.
11:24Because it comes out?
11:25Yeah.
11:26That was an accident.
11:27It's very Italian.
11:28You can see this at Milan Fashion Week.
11:29I'm loving what I'm doing.
11:30Yeah.
11:31Howa used the dream machine the best out of anyone.
11:37Those leafs look hashtag on point.
11:40Mr. Tim is coming in for critiques and I am very ready.
11:43My look is together.
11:45You can tell that it's a look, so I'm very happy.
11:47I have to do the hem.
11:49I know I have to do the bias tape and then press it.
11:52Press the living daylights out of it.
12:01The stain stick worked!
12:02Oh, I thought that was a bad gasp.
12:04I was like, oh, God.
12:06I was worried for you.
12:07I thought it wasn't going to work.
12:08It worked.
12:11Hi, Tim.
12:12Hi, Tim.
12:13Hi, everyone.
12:14I'm here to check in with you and I'm eager to see what you're doing, okay?
12:17Tyler, hi.
12:18Hey, Mr. Tim.
12:19How are you?
12:20This is certainly polished.
12:22You talk to me.
12:23The things that stood out to me are like the domes on top of like all the cathedrals.
12:27So I like sculpted the hips.
12:29How did you do this?
12:30It's all shoulder pads.
12:31Oh, smart.
12:32This is a coat and then I have a tailored pant underneath.
12:34So you're closing the coat, you're not doing a top.
12:36Yes, sir.
12:37No.
12:38Not too like vulgar, sexy, but like kind of like the chic, like sex appeal, like a deep
12:42V.
12:43Well, that's what this says it wants to be.
12:45I like Tyler's look.
12:46I mean, if it was in my size and it wasn't like raw, I would wear it.
12:51I think it looks beautiful.
12:53Thank you, Tyler.
12:54How are you?
12:55I'm good.
12:56I'm eager to hear what you're doing.
12:59So I'm making this gown and I'm sewing on this little like detailing of all these shapes
13:04that I'm cutting out.
13:05And then I find that if I put the smaller one, it just looks nicer.
13:08Whereas like when they're just big, they kind of look like weird, like crafty.
13:12Well, listen, it looks crafty no matter what.
13:16That's not going to go away.
13:18Okay.
13:19Crafty is definitely part of this and own it.
13:23Okay.
13:24I think that Izzy has kind of a risky look.
13:26Kind of looks like a weird DIY project.
13:29Work on this.
13:30You've got a lot of work to do.
13:31Thank you so much.
13:32Thank you, Izzy.
13:33Hi, Tim.
13:34Hawa, before you even say anything.
13:37Yes.
13:38I'm crazy about this.
13:39Thank you, Tim.
13:40You're not surprised, are you?
13:42I mean, I like it.
13:43I'm so happy that Tim immediately likes my look.
13:46I feel like sometimes I may be overdoing my designs with all the color and stuff, but
13:50I'm glad he doesn't think it's too much.
13:52It's an innovation.
13:53It steps up and out without being wacky, without being a joke.
13:58Yeah.
13:59I didn't want to be too serious because it is a runway and runways are fun.
14:03And this is a fun look.
14:04Yeah, exactly.
14:05Carry on.
14:06Thank you, Tim.
14:07Hi, Tim.
14:08Molly, hi.
14:09I have to tell you, one of the things that I respond to the most is how you've scalloped
14:14this, how you've followed the embroidery.
14:17This looks like a big time commitment.
14:19Yeah, I still have a lot of finishing to do.
14:21But it's worth it.
14:22Yeah.
14:23This is a really beautiful look.
14:24Thank you so much.
14:25I'm going to let you get back to work.
14:26Chris.
14:27Hi, Tim.
14:28It's stunning.
14:30You think so?
14:31Awesome.
14:32Yes.
14:33Oh, good.
14:34I've got a scarf out of this whole, like, middle building part.
14:37But why?
14:38Okay.
14:39I don't need to do it.
14:41You don't need to do it.
14:42Okay.
14:43So I won't do it.
14:44I'll just keep this clean.
14:45Keep it clean and just make certain everything is perfectly finished because this is really
14:51stunning.
14:52Awesome.
14:53Yay.
14:54Great.
14:55Good work.
14:56Coolio.
14:57Thanks, Tim.
14:58So how are you feeling about it?
14:59For some reason, my stream of consciousness led me to, like, Swiss cheese and then Swiss
15:05military uniform.
15:06It's all about Switzerland.
15:08Now, listen, that's merely your point of departure.
15:11Yeah.
15:12You do not have to remain in Italy.
15:13You can travel to Switzerland.
15:14Yeah.
15:15Okay.
15:16Well, it looks like we have a pocket potpourri.
15:18What's a pocket potpourri?
15:21They're all over the place, right?
15:23Yeah.
15:24I'm kind of just like, yeah, I see it.
15:27I'm thinking, I have no idea what you just said.
15:30Why is this pocket so baggy?
15:33I wanted, like, a kangaroo pouch to, like...
15:36Oh, pouch.
15:37Because, like, this side is so, I feel like it's so clean, but there's so many pockets.
15:41It is.
15:42I would prefer that it's crisper, but that's your decision.
15:44Right.
15:45See what I mean?
15:46Yeah, I understand.
15:47That's it.
15:48Okay.
15:49That's exactly it.
15:50All right.
15:51Thank you, Chelsea.
15:52Cartier.
15:53Hey, Tim.
15:54So my inspiration for this challenge was this picture of a sunrise for Italy.
15:56So I wanted to do a kind of simple feminine silhouette, but do a lot of work with painting.
16:02Okay.
16:05What's this?
16:06The original top that I did, but because I used this, like, thick cotton instead of the satin, it just doesn't look the same.
16:15But what's on the other side?
16:16That's just where the paint bleeds through.
16:18It's really pretty.
16:19I thought it looked like mold.
16:21I think it's stunning.
16:23I hate it.
16:24I think it's so gross.
16:25It's all in the eye of the beholder.
16:26I liked it, too.
16:27But I said she can't do two weeks in a row flipping an inside out.
16:30Why not?
16:31I just, uh...
16:33Poor Cartier.
16:34Two weeks in a row, her inside is better than the out.
16:37I have a responsibility to you to say this.
16:39Okay.
16:40I was so in awe of what you did last week, and I'm missing design.
16:47I'm seeing more of the dressmaker again.
16:50I really like this look.
16:52I don't really like that he says that I'm going back into a dressmaker-y place.
16:55I mean, it's really low back here, so it has a little bit more visual interest.
16:59It's a step.
17:01I just question whether it's enough.
17:03I totally understand where Tim is coming from, but at this point, I have painted an entire dress.
17:10Like, qu'est-ce que tu veux?
17:12Like, what do you want?
17:15Coming up.
17:16Oh, God, no.
17:17Everyone's super hectic.
17:19Oh, my God. Oh, my God.
17:20The judges are going to be like...
17:22What can you do?
17:23Tyler!
17:28You have so much more to offer conceptually, and that's what I miss.
17:33I really like the look I did last week, but I didn't feel like it's ever something I would do again.
17:38If that makes sense.
17:39All right.
17:40I'm going to leave you alone so you can put your lining in and paint.
17:43Paint, paint, paint.
17:45Thank you, Cartier.
17:46All right, designers.
17:47Your models will be in in an hour and a half.
17:50All right?
17:51Love you guys.
17:52Thank you, Tim.
17:53See you later.
17:54Ooh, he used the L word.
17:56He loves us.
17:58He hasn't even taken us out to dinner yet.
18:05Models are here.
18:06Yes.
18:07I have to try this elastic on you so it doesn't, like, fall off on the runway.
18:11So, like, Italian-inspired, like, Milan Fashion Week very that.
18:15Yeah, and the winner gets to go to Italy.
18:17We'll hold this close so no one sees your nip nips.
18:20The fit of this garment is very, very important.
18:22If it's too big, it's going to look like a cicada shell.
18:25And if it's too small, for tatas, you're going to be coming out.
18:28And that's, I don't want either of those.
18:29You tuck in just a little bit.
18:31There you go.
18:32Awesome.
18:33So, yeah, there's a train when you're walking, just so you know.
18:35There's going to be a lot more up here.
18:37Those look a little uneven.
18:38I'll fix it without you.
18:39It looks really good.
18:41Let's see.
18:42This is, like, my favorite look that I've made so far.
18:44This look speaks volumes about who I am.
18:47I've kind of put a lot of heart into it.
18:49I look so pretty.
18:51While I really appreciate Tim's critique,
18:53I think that at this point it's best for me to just stick with this design.
18:57Yay, I'm excited.
19:00You're going to look gorgeous.
19:01I have to.
19:08I'm so proud of what I've made.
19:09I think my color story is really interesting.
19:11You know how, like, something goes with the TV
19:13and they have, like, all those, like, colors and, like,
19:15they're, like, flashing?
19:16It looks like a broken TV.
19:18Oh, guys, it's time.
19:20We have to go.
19:21No.
19:22Just give me a second.
19:24Chris, you gotta go.
19:26Not how many things are on the floor.
19:27Yes.
19:36Red lip's going to have gorgeous pop on the runway.
19:39A little sparkle on the inside of your eye.
19:41A red-winged eye on the top.
19:43A blue-winged eye on the bottom.
19:45Punk.
19:46Pink cheeks and black hat eyeliner.
19:49Pop with glazing spark.
19:51And a carly lip.
19:53Gorgeous.
19:54See you on the runway.
19:56Hello.
20:04Everyone's super hectic.
20:05I have to iron my entire thing.
20:07I have to hem the bottom.
20:08I have to add on a lot more buttons,
20:10and I have to fix all of my snaps.
20:11Good morning, designers.
20:12How is everyone?
20:13Hi, Tim.
20:14Hi.
20:15You ready for a fabulous show?
20:16Yes.
20:17All right.
20:18Your models have been to the Butter London Beauty Studio
20:20for their makeup,
20:21and to our hair studio for final touches.
20:23In approximately an hour,
20:25we will all be going down to the runway.
20:28In the meantime, work, work, work, work.
20:30Thank you, Tim.
20:32Thank you, Tim.
20:33Oh my god, I thought that was the models.
20:48Oh god, no, the models.
20:50Okay.
20:51Okay, G, you ready to get dressed?
20:53I'm excited to get G in this.
20:54This look is definitely very me,
20:55and I think it also could be ready for this.
20:57This look is definitely very me,
20:58and I think it also could be ready for the runway
21:00of like Milan Fashion Week,
21:01so I'm very pumped.
21:03Oh my gosh.
21:06You could just like hold that right there.
21:08The model comes in,
21:09and the pant is a little small,
21:10and I'm like, oh my gosh.
21:12I added in a panel,
21:13and the last five minutes,
21:15I'm like still working,
21:16and kind of freaking out about that,
21:18and that's definitely frightening.
21:20Can I look to me?
21:21I'm so excited.
21:22The pants fit her like famously,
21:23and I'm into it.
21:24I put the coat on,
21:25I snap it,
21:26and like her ta-tas are coming out
21:28to say hey to each other.
21:30Oh my God.
21:31Oh my God.
21:32I'll be right back.
21:33Tyler's look is kind of inappropriate.
21:38That's just awkward to look at.
21:40The judges are going to be like...
21:42Just like make sure like your thing's secure.
21:48Yeah.
21:49He's a trouble.
21:51I get the black gaff tube.
21:52I kind of like line it,
21:53and it looks okay.
21:55Designers,
21:56in 10 minutes,
21:57you and your models and I
21:58are going down to the runway.
22:01I think we're good.
22:02Tyler.
22:03Yes.
22:04So,
22:05you've taped G into the coat?
22:07I've just taped it right here.
22:08You can't.
22:10And also,
22:11it's already come off.
22:14Okay.
22:15What can you do?
22:16That's a great question.
22:17Get to work really quickly.
22:19Okay, thank you.
22:20Cartier.
22:21Cartier.
22:22Are you done?
22:23Yeah.
22:24Do you want to help me?
22:25Yeah, of course.
22:26Ten minutes until I leave for the runway,
22:27and I am hand sewing up a storm.
22:29This down.
22:30Just down?
22:31Okay.
22:32I can't use the tape,
22:33so making it tighter is the only way this is going to work.
22:36All right, designers and models,
22:38we are going down to the runway.
22:40Follow me, everyone.
22:42Just tying out really quickly.
22:44Is that the rainbow?
22:46Yes.
22:47LOL.
22:48I'm still in here.
22:49The coat's not what I envisioned
22:51to be like walking down the runway.
22:53Wait a minute.
22:54Tyler G.
22:56Go, go, go, go, go.
22:58Are those Louboutins?
23:07Hello, everyone.
23:08Hi.
23:09Welcome back to the runway.
23:10In fashion, one day you're in,
23:12and the next day you're out.
23:14I can't believe we're so close to the finale.
23:17There's only one more challenge to go.
23:19For this challenge, you are to create a high-end look
23:23suitable to walk the runway at Milan Fashion Week.
23:26And there's a very exciting prize up for grabs.
23:29The winner of this challenge will receive
23:31an all-expense-paid trip to Italy
23:33courtesy of Carrabba's Italian Grill.
23:35Woo!
23:36How amazing is that?
23:38We all want to win.
23:39All right, let's say hello to our fabulous judges.
23:41First, we have CFDA designer Christian Siriano.
23:44Hey, guys.
23:45Fashion critic, author, and designer herself, Kelly Osborne.
23:49Hello, designers.
23:51And fashion director for Cosmopolitan
23:53and Seventeen magazines, Aya Kanai.
23:55Hi, guys.
23:56Also, we have Tim Gunn here for the runway show.
23:59Hi, Tim.
24:00Now, he is your mentor,
24:01and he will not be judging your looks.
24:03And as you know, there is no more immunity.
24:05All right, it's time for the show.
24:07Let's go.
24:16My look is totally high fashion.
24:18Oh, it looks like scraps.
24:19It's kind of amazing.
24:20No, no, it's great.
24:21I'm so proud of it.
24:22It looks so cool and so sophisticated
24:24and exactly how I pictured it.
24:26Come through colorful spaghetti.
24:28I totally think my design could win this trip to Italy.
24:38Pocket Wonderland.
24:40I love my look.
24:41I think I did so well.
24:42Wow.
24:43My design and construction is super good.
24:48I just think mine is so different from everybody else's
24:50and it's unique and I think it's new.
24:52You.
25:00Can I like wear those shorts afterwards?
25:02I'll watch.
25:03Seeing my look come down the runway,
25:04I'm feeling very, very good about it.
25:06I like the colors and I'm just proud of it.
25:09I honestly think that my look will win me this trip to Italy
25:12because it is so different.
25:18When I see my look come down the runway,
25:20I'm very nervous.
25:22I think the concept says this is who I am as a designer,
25:25but I think the execution and the like deep, deep V
25:28that I put in the front isn't really like me.
25:37Ooh.
25:39I am obsessed with it.
25:40I think the cape is so pretty.
25:42I love the way it moves.
25:45I think it really reflects what you would see
25:47at a Milan fashion week.
25:49I think that this look is definitely worthy of a trip to Italy.
26:01I think that it's really beautiful.
26:03It's really high end.
26:04It's definitely one of a kind.
26:07This look definitely belongs at Milan fashion week.
26:09I'm stunned at myself.
26:10I love what I've done.
26:11The print placement's impeccable.
26:12It looks fantastic.
26:13I have outdone myself.
26:14This is fantabulous.
26:15What a great show, guys.
26:16We're very proud of you.
26:17Molly, you are safe.
26:18Congratulations.
26:22She's like, bye.
26:23She's like, bye.
26:24She's like, bye.
26:25She was walking so quickly.
26:26She's like, bye.
26:27Got a blast.
26:28That was amazing.
26:29The six of you have the highest and the lowest scores.
26:32One of you will be the winner of this challenge and one of you will unfortunately be out.
26:39Coming up this is so weird.
26:40This is a slam dunk.
26:42I don't know how you do this.
26:44I will be so very proud of you.
26:45John, I'm really proud of you so proud of you.
26:46You're proud of you.
26:47Molly, you are safe.
26:48Congratulations.
26:50She was like, bye.
26:52She was walking so quickly.
26:53She was like, die.
26:54Got a blast.
26:55That was amazing.
26:56The six of you have the highest and the lowest scores.
26:58One of you will be the winner of this challenge and one of you will unfortunately be out.
27:05Coming up this is so weird.
27:07This is a slam dunk.
27:08I don't know how you did that.
27:10That's so distracting.
27:11I just hated it.
27:15The winner of Project Runway Junior
27:16will receive a full scholarship
27:18to the prestigious FIDM in California,
27:21a complete home sewing and crafting studio,
27:24plus the Dream Machine, all courtesy of Brother,
27:27a feature in Seventeen Magazine,
27:29and a $25,000 cash prize to help launch their line.
27:33Also, Butter London will supply a year's worth of products
27:37and the opportunity to consult with Butter London
27:40to create a limited edition nail color collection.
27:43And styles from their finale collection
27:45will be manufactured by Los Angeles Development House,
27:48Lefty Production Company.
27:51The six of you have the highest and the lowest scores.
27:55One of you will be the winner of this challenge,
27:58and one of you will, unfortunately, be out.
28:01Chelsea, tell us about your look and your inspiration.
28:04My inspiration kinda came from, like,
28:06Swiss cheese while I was, like, eating in the front.
28:09I went somehow from Swiss cheese to, like,
28:10Swiss army knives to, like, Swiss military army uniforms.
28:15Amazing job, Chelsea.
28:17This cargo gown has just the right mix
28:20of feminine and masculine elements.
28:23It has that toughness of the men's suiting fabric.
28:25It has just the right amount of skin.
28:27This is a slam dunk.
28:29I love this look.
28:30These pockets are amazing.
28:32I just love it.
28:33The neckline, I think, is so feminine.
28:35This just feels like real fashion.
28:37I would wanna go to this show during Milan Fashion Week,
28:40and it feels very new.
28:41I actually hate the lining.
28:43It's so shiny, and then you have such a dull matte fabric.
28:46Yeah.
28:47I'm gonna disagree with you, Christian,
28:49because what picks up the lining are the gold buttons
28:52that you've very cleverly chosen.
28:53How you can take a sack dress and turn it into something
28:56that I've never seen before that wows me,
28:58I don't know how you did that.
29:00Cartier, tell us about your look and your inspiration.
29:03One of my favorite things to do when I travel
29:05is to watch the sunrise and the sunset.
29:07So with this dress, I actually painted all of the color
29:11that is on here.
29:12And then at the top, I hand sewed these rhinestones
29:15to look like stars.
29:16I like the technique, but I really wish you would have
29:19pushed the innovation here.
29:21You know, this is a V-neck bodice with princess seams
29:23and a pleated skirt.
29:23It's already out there.
29:25Yeah.
29:25Color-wise, if you did like a darker gray,
29:28it could have been maybe more high-end.
29:31But I almost would rather the design take over
29:34than the fabric.
29:35I would put this in a story that was about prom,
29:40not something that has that X factor
29:43that will push fashion forward.
29:45Did you feel like you were designing like a high-end look?
29:48Yeah, I thought that the handwork
29:50would be fashion week-oriented and just, I don't know.
29:57After seeing last week and seeing you progress so much,
30:00it feels like you kind of took a few steps back.
30:02You were taken out of your comfort zone.
30:04Yeah.
30:05And now you kind of went right back to it.
30:08Chris, tell us about your look.
30:09I know like a lot of that Milan fashion week,
30:11it's a lot of like muted colors and a lot of prints.
30:14And so I wanted to play with like this stained glass,
30:16like building cathedral ceiling print,
30:19and then mimic that on top
30:20with almost like my own layering.
30:22So is it a jumpsuit?
30:23It is a jumpsuit.
30:24It puts your legs like this.
30:27Is that a top tucked in or is that part of?
30:29This is a belt.
30:30Let's take the belt off.
30:32Bam.
30:33Oh!
30:35I only wrote one thing on my card
30:36and it says it looks expensive.
30:38The print is perfect.
30:39Where you placed it is amazing.
30:41And I definitely get a kind of a Milan vibe from her.
30:45The hem of the pant is a little annoying
30:47because it's really not perfect,
30:48but that's okay.
30:50The back comes alive with every step that she takes.
30:53So it gives you a wow factor from the front
30:55and it also gives you like a thank you from the back.
30:58This look shows us that all of that print texture
31:04and mixing, what I like to call like Chris the mad scientist,
31:08can be brought together in a way that has that polish.
31:12It was just so well thought out and well done
31:14and you really understood the challenge.
31:16It's stunning.
31:19Tyler, tell us about your look and your inspiration.
31:22I did a pant with like a sculpted and structured coat
31:25with a deep V.
31:26And like the inspiration was the Islamic domes
31:29on like all the cathedrals and everything.
31:30So like that's shown like little here.
31:33I just wanted to show like stuff
31:34like you guys haven't seen from me.
31:37So.
31:38Yeah.
31:38What do we think about our situation here?
31:41Like it's bad, but it could like,
31:44I think it's in the middle.
31:45Listen, homegirl is about to fall out.
31:48There's so many great elements here.
31:50I love a lot of the cut of this jacket.
31:52I love over the pan.
31:53You know, she looks very chic.
31:54I just think it's so overly cut in that front.
31:58That's all you look at.
31:59I just hated it.
32:01I hated seeing so much cleavage.
32:03Thanks, sir.
32:04What happened here is really, truly
32:06just a question of appropriateness.
32:09That's so distracting.
32:10You know what I mean?
32:11Because we don't, you don't want our eyes going there
32:13and not looking at your design.
32:14I don't want to see her boobies,
32:16but I do love that shape.
32:18Oh, honey, I can't look at you.
32:19I'm sorry.
32:20Why are you crying?
32:22I know these aren't my standards
32:23that I have to like censor myself so high here.
32:25And like, I don't want this to be the end.
32:30Thank you, Tyler.
32:33Izzy.
32:34So for my design, I was really inspired
32:36by Italian architecture and these beautiful columns
32:38that they had.
32:39So this is my column in the front.
32:43And then I really wanted to make it like a sculpture almost.
32:46So these are like little shapes that I cut out
32:49out of different colors.
32:51This is a crafty look.
32:53The result is cool.
32:56It's different.
32:57It's innovative.
32:58I totally get the sculptural element.
33:00I like the three dimensionality where the dress is sort
33:03of coming at you.
33:04Thank you so much.
33:05It's a very strange dress.
33:07It really is.
33:09Like, I'm really sitting here and I'm like,
33:11it almost feels like if it was cut open and laid flat,
33:13it would be a very interesting piece of art.
33:16Yeah, I do mind turning around.
33:16I'm sorry.
33:17I really, really love your color choice.
33:20All the lining around the neck.
33:22It's very cleverly done.
33:23But when you turn to the front, if you would have made it
33:26one solid color but still cut it the way that you have,
33:29I think it wouldn't be so wacky.
33:32This is so weird, but I really, really like it.
33:37I don't think I would wear it, but I
33:39would want to see it on someone.
33:41Good job.
33:43Hot what?
33:43OK, so I was inspired by the stained glass and the paintings
33:46that are inside of the churches.
33:47So I wanted to do, like, a lot of different pieces
33:49on the shorts.
33:50And then I'm also inspired by the columns in Rome.
33:53The top of them have decorations of, like,
33:55flowers and all that.
33:56So that's why I put the patches on the sleeves.
33:59I think that the shorts are so cool.
34:01There's something really genius when you
34:03said stained glass windows.
34:05I got that instantly.
34:06So all the strips are sewn on top.
34:10Is that intentional that they create that kind of billowy
34:13effect?
34:14I actually think that's quite cool.
34:16This look is very cute.
34:19But I think for this challenge, we're looking for looks that
34:22could be seen on a Milan runway.
34:24And it's so playful that I don't necessarily see the
34:29sophistication.
34:31You know, I'm torn about this one because this look has a lot
34:34of fun and a lot of energy in it.
34:36But is it high end?
34:38I'm not sure if I think so.
34:42How are you?
34:43OK?
34:45I just don't understand, like, what I'm supposed to do
34:47anymore because I don't even know who I am as a designer
34:50anymore.
34:51Like.
34:54Can I tell you who you are as a designer?
34:56Unique.
34:57There are not many people like you.
34:58And that is why you probably feel so confused at times.
35:02But you are original and different.
35:04And that's what we love about you.
35:06Mm-hmm.
35:07Maybe it's not for everyone, but it's definitely for me,
35:11because any girl that's going to wear this is someone I
35:12want to hang out with.
35:15Thank you, Hala.
35:17We're going to take a closer look at your designs,
35:19and then we'll bring you back to the runway.
35:21You can meet the runway.
35:24That was really intense.
35:31What happened?
35:31I'm all the same.
35:33So me, Chelsea, and Chris are on the top.
35:35OK.
35:35And they're on the bottom.
35:36I feel like they liked all of ours equally.
35:38Do you feel that?
35:39Mine was expensive.
35:40Yours was innovative.
35:41Yours was innovative and artsy.
35:45Like, I actually really liked Tyler.
35:47No, they did.
35:48No, they really liked it.
35:49I'll give you the cheat.
35:50They said that it was vulgar.
35:51It wasn't good.
35:53Wait, what did they say about yours, Cartier?
35:54That it was just, like, really boring,
35:56and it's, like, something you would buy for prom.
35:57So.
35:58You hate me.
35:59You're so good.
36:00Hi, Tim.
36:03Hi.
36:04We have Christy wearing Chelsea.
36:06Oh, my God, I want a jacket like this with weird thingies.
36:09I want so many things.
36:10I think that the dress speaks for itself.
36:13And it's, like, sexy but still menswear,
36:15but not even that fitted.
36:16And these pockets are great.
36:17This is the best thing she's made.
36:19Good job.
36:22Juanita is wearing Chris.
36:24Ugh.
36:24I'm so proud of Chris.
36:25Look at this pant.
36:26That is an Italian woman.
36:28He stepped it up.
36:29He did.
36:30And I am so happy for him.
36:31Well, he listened to you.
36:32I love this overlay.
36:33It almost looks like glass.
36:34The pant wants to be just a little bit longer.
36:36Otherwise, it's amazing.
36:40And we have Yaw wearing Izzy.
36:42It is crazy.
36:44Why do I like this weird thing?
36:45It's so fun.
36:46I love this neckline, too.
36:48This is the kind of dress that really jumps off the page.
36:51Yeah.
36:53G wearing Tyler.
36:55And I'm the lawyer for the defense.
36:57Once Tyler started to taper it,
37:00we had the whole front open up.
37:01Of course.
37:02And this all happened when I called 10 minutes.
37:05Even with the mistakes, I would wear this.
37:06I love this.
37:07I agree.
37:10Felicia wearing Cartier.
37:12She's our prom queen.
37:13I was practically on my knees begging her to push it.
37:18This shape is so basic.
37:19And I feel like at this point in the competition,
37:22we need to see more from her.
37:23This doesn't make me think anything, but mm.
37:28Sharika wearing Hawa.
37:30And silly me, I love this.
37:32I know so many young girls that would love this kind of stuff.
37:35I wish that her technical skills were a little bit better.
37:39She didn't finish the shorts.
37:40She didn't finish the jacket.
37:42To me, it just falls flat.
37:46So who's going home today?
37:48Cartier did present a look that was more finished.
37:52Very finished.
37:53Than Hawa's.
37:53Was pretty.
37:54It was cute.
37:55That card's been around since the 1940s.
37:58Even though Hawa's was not executed perfectly,
38:01the ideas are there.
38:04OK, have we made our decision?
