00:00Previously on Project Runway Junior.
00:02You will incorporate LED and fiber optic into your designs.
00:09Look at how much is going on.
00:11I love what's happening.
00:13These pastels can go very golden girls.
00:15Oh.
00:16I was spending a lot of time trying to hide the battery pack.
00:22Wow.
00:26I'm obsessed.
00:27Chris, you are the winner of this challenge.
00:31Akai, your garment look undone.
00:33Awa, your dress was too safe.
00:36Akai, you're out.
00:51Another day, another slay.
00:53Oh, Akai's selfie is gone.
00:56There's only a few of us left.
00:58What?
01:00I know.
01:01I'm like, I need my tiny orange scissors.
01:03What?
01:05Is that supposed to happen?
01:07Oh my god, we put some fire.
01:08There is a fire going on, guys.
01:10Designers, calm down, everyone.
01:15We are exiting the building calmly and quietly and in single file.
01:19I'm kind of freaking out a little bit.
01:21I'm just kind of confused.
01:22Like, what's going on?
01:23This is like crazy.
01:24Okay!
01:25Right down the stairs.
01:26Out the door.
01:27Oh, what are we doing?
01:28I hate fire trucks.
01:30Oh, God.
01:31Oh, like, what is this?
01:37Oh, what's happening?
01:39Oh my gosh, stop.
01:40I'm scared.
01:41Oh my gosh, stop.
01:42I'm scared.
01:46Oh my gosh.
01:47Oh!
01:48Oh!
01:49Hannah looks smoking hot and her outfit is gorgeous and a whole bunch of other dudes jump out
01:57of the fire truck.
01:58I'm like, oh my God, this is not my day.
02:00I do not want to do a men's wear challenge.
02:02Like, please don't let it be a men's wear challenge.
02:04Hi, designers.
02:05Hi!
02:06This is Milton Mattis, and he has brought to us today a fiery challenge.
02:11We at Barcel USA, the makers of Takis, are thrilled to be part of Project Runway Union.
02:16Who has tried our most popular flavor, Takis Fuego?
02:19Good!
02:20Excellent.
02:21I hear it's an intense competition, which is why we thought that it would be perfect for
02:25you all to work together in your next intense challenge.
02:30Crap, crap, crap!
02:31Men's wear challenge basically equals elimination in my eyes because I, for one, have never done
02:36men's wear before.
02:37Your challenge is to create a date night look.
02:41For men?
02:42For men!
02:44For the firefighter's wife or girlfriend.
02:46Oh my God!
02:50And you're relieved it's not men's wear?
02:52Yes!
02:53I'm so happy.
02:54Designing for women is a lot easier.
02:56This is your chance to give the amazing ladies who support these brave firefighters a fun,
03:01lively experience that makes them feel beautiful in your looks.
03:05Their girlfriend or wife will walk the runway as your model.
03:08Awesome!
03:09Now we have randomly assigned each of you with a fireman client.
03:13They and their significant others are going to meet you in the workroom for consultations.
03:17Okay.
03:18Yay!
03:19Let's head up to the workroom.
03:20All right.
03:21Back in the workroom, everyone.
03:24You'll spend 20 minutes with your client couples talking and sketching.
03:29Remember, these are clients.
03:31You need to listen.
03:32At the same time, you need to show the judges your design aesthetic and your work.
03:38Okay?
03:39When working with a client, you can't just choose something that you like.
03:42You have to choose something that both you like and they like.
03:45So it's definitely going to be hard.
03:47I think the competition just increased.
03:49All right.
03:50I'm sending in your couple clients.
03:53Hi.
03:54Hi, y'all.
03:55High five.
03:56I'm Kristen.
03:58So what do you like to wear basically?
04:01Anything that doesn't make this fair blonde skin look washed out to light me up.
04:05Do you have anything that you like?
04:08More skin is good.
04:09I don't know.
04:10You like showing skin?
04:11No.
04:12I don't like showing skin.
04:13Okay.
04:14No.
04:15You look great, so it doesn't matter.
04:16Yeah, that's fine.
04:17More classy or classy.
04:18I see a story.
04:19Yeah, yeah.
04:20What would you imagine yourself wearing on a date night?
04:21Something that's form-fitting, flattering, comfortable.
04:23Okay.
04:24I like green.
04:25Okay.
04:26I like a V-neck.
04:27A V-neck?
04:28Okay, awesome.
04:29I think that looks good.
04:30Yeah.
04:31She wants it to be classic, sophisticated, and simple.
04:33I am sketching below-the-knee bodycon dress with paneling on the side so it really reflects
04:41my style.
04:42Is there any ideas you have?
04:43Something to wear out to the show?
04:46Okay.
04:47I've never had a date night really before, but I'd babysit, so I do know what a date night,
04:53like what you're supposed to wear and that kind of thing.
04:55So, like, what's your style?
04:57So I'm bohemian because I like the flow and the ease, but I also like structure.
05:02I'm 14, so I'm still, like, working for what my real style is.
05:07But I just love leisure wear.
05:10Okay, so three quarters would be about 12 inches.
05:13Yeah.
05:14That's good.
05:15Bust?
05:16Um, yeah.
05:17Bust?
05:18I usually wear a 32 double D.
05:19I have no clue what that means, so I'll just measure inches.
05:21I have never been on a date, let alone with a woman, so I was, like, a little concerned
05:25of, like, what am I going to make her wear?
05:27Do you like circle skirts?
05:28Because I just learned how to make those and it's really easy.
05:30Definitely not a circle skirt.
05:31Not a circle skirt.
05:32How do you feel about Prince?
05:34Uh, I'm more of a solid girl.
05:35More of a solid.
05:36Um.
05:37And I'm like, ugh.
05:38She's not big on Prince, which gives me, like, a mini heart attack.
05:42Because I'm known for my Prince here.
05:44How do we feel about just trying one?
05:46Could I show it?
05:47So you're going to be here when we're fabric shopping.
05:48Can I, like, ask you what you think?
05:49Absolutely, yeah.
05:50I like, for dresses, I like fitted.
05:52Fitted?
05:53Bless up.
05:54So me and Miss Megan come up with, like, this idea of, like, this round bodice, like, a
05:58rounded bustier and a pencil skirt connected, like, just to make a dress and it's fitted
06:02and she's going to look great in it and she's going to look very sleek and sexy.
06:05Tell me about yourself.
06:06I have lots of animals.
06:07Oh.
06:08Two dogs, two cats, a hedgehog, five chickens.
06:11A hedgehog?
06:12Yes.
06:13That is amazing.
06:14She's adventurous.
06:15She wants to push it and I'm like, great, let's do it.
06:17I like doing weird stuff that people haven't seen, so I'm thinking of doing these, like,
06:21pleats on one side that go to the floor and then, like, a shorter skirt on the other,
06:24so it's kind of, like, edgy, I guess.
06:26I like bohemian style.
06:28Okay, cool.
06:29I like maxi dresses.
06:30Super cool.
06:31My client usually dresses really comfortable, so I sketched this bohemian dress and there's
06:37lots of draping and gathering on it.
06:39There is a slip underneath, but it's going to be really well put together and look really
06:42good.
06:43So you like more subdued, like, easy to wear colors?
06:45Yeah.
06:46Or red.
06:47Red?
06:48All right.
06:49Do you want her to wear red?
06:50Do what you want.
06:51He wants you to wear red.
06:53Okay.
06:54Do you like something that shows a little bit of cleavage or do you like something that's
06:58a little more covered?
07:00She shows cleavage.
07:01Don't be shy.
07:02Okay.
07:03Rosemary has this sexy, sassy style.
07:06My background is kind of simply designed, more reserved kind of dresses.
07:12I think to push myself more, it's definitely really tough.
07:15Designers, your sketching time with your clients is now up and Mini Mood is now open and will
07:22remain open for 30 minutes.
07:24Okay, have fun everyone.
07:25Velvet glitter.
07:26Is there a shakran?
07:27I'm feeling like this would be on top.
07:28What do you think of that?
07:29Yes, we put the floral over top of the stripes and it gives it a really cool graphic look.
07:44So you do the stripes horizontal.
07:46Or...
07:47Ooh, that's nice.
07:49So we decide on a dress where you can see the floral on top so you can see inside.
07:55I think it's extremely creative.
07:57Huh.
07:58I'm going to try to find a way to sell my client on prints.
08:01Not doing patterns is definitely putting me outside my comfort zone more than anything
08:05else in this competition has done.
08:07So I want to use this really cool plaid to put some of me in this.
08:11Don't be scared.
08:12I think this would look really cute with the leather and then the dress.
08:15I don't know.
08:16I'm not feeling it.
08:17I feel like I'm such a downer for you.
08:19No, it's fine.
08:20This is about you.
08:22This one's a little more plain.
08:25No.
08:26Okay.
08:27She's like not feeling it.
08:28So I'm just definitely going for something prettier and simpler than I usually do.
08:31How do you feel about lace?
08:32It would be lined, maybe lined under the black.
08:35Yeah, like that's kind of a nice idea.
08:37She likes classy silhouettes.
08:40So I'm going to make a cute little bolero jacket and then a dress underneath.
08:45I can do this.
08:46I got red.
08:47Cool.
08:48I can wear black with it?
08:49Yeah.
08:50Right?
08:51Also just to let you guys know to have confidence in me, I already won a challenge.
08:55It was the first one.
08:56I haven't done that well since so I'm ready to win again.
08:59Here is the solid red stretch fabric.
09:02Definitely.
09:03Yeah.
09:04I chose neoprene because it was the only red solid stretch fabric there.
09:08In general, I don't really care for the way it looks and it's not something I would
09:12usually work with.
09:13I don't know if you wanted to do.
09:14Do you think those go together though?
09:15I don't really think.
09:16Do you like this side better or this side?
09:17I was thinking this side.
09:18I like this side.
09:19This side?
09:20Okay, good.
09:21We have a fabric.
09:22Go ahead.
09:23Designers, your 30 mini mood minutes are now up.
09:27Alright?
09:28Please take advantage of the Brothers Sewing and Embroidery Studio.
09:31Clients will head out.
09:34In your hands now.
09:43Is anyone nervous like they're like not going to like it?
09:46Yeah, I'm a little bit nervous but I think that they are.
09:49That's just like me thinking worst case scenario.
09:51My strategy is definitely to get the under slip dress done first.
09:55But I am going to leave the like outer layer because that's more loose fitting and I don't
10:00really need that done until after the black dress is fitted.
10:03Red is the color of desire and dominance.
10:05She'll probably look really good.
10:06Fire trucks.
10:08Designers.
10:10How are we all doing?
10:11It's a very quiet work room.
10:12I like to see that.
10:13What is this?
10:15It is a pink bustier dress.
10:18Is this an advertisement for Pepto-Bismol?
10:20What are you doing?
10:21You're going straight to hell.
10:22I wish you luck, Tyler.
10:24Thanks, Tim.
10:25I'm definitely a bad influence.
10:27I'm steering them away from their work and making them fool around with me.
10:30So when there's eight unfinished looks on the runway, I think we all know who to blame.
10:33Is this your first time working with a stretch fabric Cartier?
10:37It's not.
10:38You could have fooled me.
10:40I will see you all on the runway.
10:42Goodbye.
10:43Bye, Tim.
10:54For your client, you have to fit their needs.
10:56You have to give them what they want.
10:57You have to try to keep yourself alive in the outfit.
11:00It's just, it's a struggle.
11:05All right, designers.
11:07I am about to send in your client couples.
11:12You will have 19 minutes with them.
11:14And I'm going to be checking in with each of you and seeing how you're doing.
11:20Hello.
11:21Hi.
11:22How are you?
11:23I wanted to add in your second favorite color on the side.
11:25I can pull in the skirt.
11:26I just made it a little more flared just in case you wanted it that way.
11:29I'm getting chills.
11:30I really love the way the lace looks over the blueish gray, yes.
11:35So I just heard Kristen say I love it.
11:37Talk to me.
11:38All right.
11:39Kristen is more classical and not crazy into prints.
11:43So I was like, well, we can do lace.
11:45Is there any way in the world we would know this is you?
11:48Is there something you can do to inject more of yourself into this?
11:57I think it's a definite problem.
12:00I have all these knots in my stomach.
12:02I feel pain like I've never felt before.
12:03I feel so stressed, like my heart's in my throat.
12:05I'm struggling with what to do.
12:07Coming up.
12:09So it has a lot of movement.
12:10Ditch the black all together.
12:12It's a little too basic.
12:14Yes.
12:15As long as she's happy, you know, happy wife, happy life.
12:17I would not say it's flattering.
12:18Yeah, I'm loving this.
12:20She looks gorgeous.
12:21I think you were on fire, honey.
12:24Can't if it without a bad, just have a light bulb.
12:25I can.
12:26What are you thinking?
12:27You look like a light bulb just went off.
12:28I could do, like, a graphic belt out of the leather.
12:29Something that says, it's you.
12:30This is mine.
12:31All right.
12:32Carry on.
12:33Thank you, Sam.
12:35So talk to me about your working together.
12:37Ginny is toned down in her style.
12:42So I wanted to use these polka dots.
12:46That's all I want to know right so now.
12:51Have you ever heard of me?
12:52to use these polka dots.
12:54At first, we weren't really agreeing,
12:56but I don't know, I think she likes them now, yeah?
12:59They're growing on me.
13:00What pleases me is that it's, I can tell it's you.
13:05Carry on, thank you.
13:07Tell me what's happening in design-wise.
13:08So Melinda has a really cool sort of like boho vibe,
13:11and Chris wanted to see her in red,
13:13so I'm making her a really cool red boho dress.
13:17It's gonna have panels,
13:18so it has a lot of movement when she walks.
13:21I think that Izzy has kind of a risky look.
13:24The use of this fabric is just not really all that great.
13:28I'm not sure what she's trying to achieve
13:30with these chiffon panels kind of coming off of it.
13:33I would ditch the black altogether.
13:36I would use this organza underneath the skirt,
13:39and then you'll have one color story, basically.
13:43Carry on. Thank you so much, Tim.
13:45How are you feeling?
13:46I love the fit, and I love the color.
13:48Is there enough design in this?
13:50I think yes. I think the fit and tailoring of it
13:52is definitely gonna be like, oh, this is Tyler,
13:54but bringing in this color is definitely gonna be like,
13:56this is also Megan's.
13:57I feel like I'm showing myself as a designer,
13:59but also showing that, hey, I could do other things too.
14:01I would not have used this color
14:03before Megan came into the workroom.
14:05And Joe, what do you think?
14:06I think she looks fantastic.
14:08As long as she's happy, you know,
14:09happy wife, happy life, you know?
14:12Carry on.
14:13Hi, everyone.
14:14Hi, Tim.
14:15RTA, Rosemary, Felix.
14:16Eager to hear what you all are doing together.
14:19Well, Rosemary wanted something that was really fun
14:22and really colorful, and yeah, yeah.
14:25We're working on this red stretch dress.
14:29It's kind of like a bodycon shape.
14:31Rosemary, what do you think?
14:33I love the dress.
14:34It's just a red dress.
14:36It's nice.
14:37It's gonna look nice on me, but it's missing something.
14:41I have a feeling it's a little too basic.
14:43Yes.
14:44Might want to add a little pizzazz to it.
14:46This is so beautifully executed,
14:48but we could buy it at Saks.
14:52The needle's tilting much more to dressmaking
14:54and much less to design.
14:57OK.
14:57Earlier, I looked over here and saw something
15:01that looked like it had scales.
15:04That's what I saw.
15:05Yeah.
15:06On the inside of this dress,
15:08I have actually clipped little triangles in the seams
15:12to make the seam open up,
15:14and Tim really likes the way that it looks.
15:17I thought about it, though.
15:18You and me.
15:20Look at your face.
15:21You really hate it.
15:22Well, I don't hate it, but to me,
15:24it's like looking at the inside of a dress.
15:26I know, but we didn't know that.
15:27Yeah.
15:28So mind meld and experiment and talk.
15:31Thank you, Tim.
15:32I feel like it's hard for me to kind of get out of my box,
15:36and my client is helping me push myself
15:38out of my comfort zone.
15:40I mean, he does.
15:41I actually really like it.
15:43I have literally turned my look around.
15:46Yes, I'm such a good pun.
15:48So?
15:49So Leigh has a lot of animals,
15:50and she has, I think, two cats, right?
15:51I do.
15:52And when you place the fabric down,
15:54it looks like a cat.
15:55These do look like eyes.
15:56Yeah, yeah.
15:56Carry on and do it.
15:57OK.
15:58All right.
15:59Thank you, Tim.
16:00How are you all doing?
16:02Me and Tiffany are pretty much the exact same person,
16:04almost.
16:05I'd wear my hair like that if I could make it work.
16:07So there's this underneath dress with this striped print.
16:11It goes to right above the knee.
16:13OK.
16:14And then this is like an overlay.
16:16I gathered it a lot, but it kind of looks like a curtain.
16:19I feel like I should just scrap the skirt.
16:21It kind of looks big.
16:24Yes.
16:24Yes.
16:25I would not say it's flattering.
16:26Yeah.
16:26I was starting to realize that it kind of did look
16:30a little bit grandma-y, like old.
16:32Why isn't this textile almost like a cascade
16:36from Tiffany's shoulders with a sash?
16:38All right.
16:38Yeah.
16:39I think Ally's a little nervous because when Tim came in,
16:41it seemed like she had to change a whole lot of things
16:43about her look.
16:44So I'm a little worried about that.
16:46OK.
16:46Thank you so much.
16:48Hi there.
16:49How are things?
16:49She heard me when I said I wanted something stretchy
16:52and the colors, fabric that was breathable,
16:55and I could still move around in.
16:56I mean, I can easily see you, Natalia, rocking this.
17:00But it's a design competition.
17:03You are in a dressmaker.
17:05We can talk more about it.
17:06Talk about it.
17:07Adding some elements.
17:08And in the back v-neck, we're going
17:09to do like a crisscross detailing.
17:12And then we're also thinking of doing a longer ankle-length
17:15skirt that's going to be like an overlay, almost,
17:18that she can take on and off.
17:19I would put all my energy into the finishing of this
17:23and the design and execution of the overskirt.
17:27Overskirt, overskirt, overskirt.
17:31Thank you, Tim.
17:32Designers, your time with your clients is now up.
17:37You have an hour and 20 minutes remaining in the day.
17:42Say goodbye to your clients.
17:44I will see you in the morning, everyone.
17:48Have a good night.
17:49I'm excited.
17:51You're not nervous.
17:52We're excited.
17:53I am too.
17:54Because I think he liked it.
18:03After Tim's critique, I got rid of the black bodice on the top.
18:07I'm not changing the skirt because my client, she wants a really,
18:11like, flowy, bohemian look and I'm really excited to give her one.
18:18This dress went from, like, the most basic to, like, the most weird dress that I've made
18:22in my entire life in, like, three seconds.
18:24I love it.
18:25I love it.
18:26So I just have to make sure that these pieces that were once on the inside look good on the
18:30outside.
18:31And I think me doing something bright red with a slit that's really tight and sexy is going
18:37to be something that they're not really expecting.
18:39I'm pretty sure Christian's going to look at this and be like, is this just the inside
18:42of the dress?
18:43Like, why are you like this?
18:44But I don't care.
18:45Like, I love Cartier's look.
18:46I could give her 11 out of 10.
18:48It's very sleek.
18:49It's very sexy.
18:50And I think the, like, inside out, like, version of her first dress is fantastic.
18:55I am taking Tim's advice and definitely going to inject myself more in this garment.
18:59And I'm going to be doing that by doing skirt overlay.
19:02I'm also keeping her simplistic style, but spicing it up a little bit.
19:06Could y'all please, like, talk in the lounge?
19:11Seriously, guys, could you please?
19:15I'm really trying to focus as much as I can right now.
19:19The skirt that I was going to make was actually going to go over a dress, but I decide to
19:24just scrap it and make a new overlay.
19:26I'm just hoping that I'll be able to finish what I have left tomorrow.
19:30Please go to, like, the sewing room or something.
19:32Go to the lounge.
19:35Coming up.
19:36Completely ruined me.
19:37What's happening?
19:38Don't worry.
19:39I'm going to fix it.
19:40It's so bad.
19:41Oh, my God.
19:42I hope I made this the right size.
19:43It just, like, busted open.
19:44There's not enough time.
19:51Hello.
19:52Hello.
19:53So the challenge is to make a bold date night look for the firefighter's wife or girlfriend,
19:59but something that still really connects to their personal style.
20:02I'm ready to take on the day and finish my garment.
20:09The hardest part right now is just trying to line up all the stripes so it looks good.
20:14And I want to finish the best and hem it.
20:17My design is coming along really well.
20:20I just really hope that it fits really well in my model and doesn't make her look too frumpy because it's all gathered together.
20:26But I think that colors and the sort of movement really represent me as a designer.
20:30My design style is so specific and it's not what my client Kristen goes for.
20:38But, like, I can design things that aren't crazy and loud and weird.
20:41And I think that I'm showing I can do something prettier this week.
20:43You're going to look gorgeous.
20:48Oh, my gosh.
20:49Liquid liner.
20:50Gorgeous lip gloss.
20:51A little of the Just Darling blush with a peach lip.
20:54A little sparkle.
20:55Perfect.
21:02Hi, everyone.
21:03All right, designers.
21:04Here is the drill.
21:05Using your direction, your client models have been in the Butter London Beauty Studio.
21:11They will be here in about 25, 30 minutes and you will have 30 minutes with them.
21:16And then we're going down to the runway.
21:17Go, go, go, go, go.
21:19Try the knife out.
21:27Models.
21:28Hello.
21:29How are you?
21:30How are you?
21:31You excited for today?
21:32Very excited.
21:33Okay.
21:34Completely ruined me forever shopping again.
21:39Yeah.
21:40I'm just going to have everything made just for me.
21:42Okay.
21:43There we go.
21:44There it is, but don't worry, I'm going to fix it.
21:47What's happening?
21:48The zipper wasn't, like, long enough, so kind of, like, it just, like, busted open.
21:53I just don't think it's going to go through that part that's kind of warped.
21:56I'm sorry.
21:57Good luck.
21:58No, it's fine.
21:59I'm just, like, hand stitching the back just a little bit and you can't even tell it's
22:02there.
22:03Miss Megan looks super duper fly.
22:04This is exactly what we both wanted.
22:06Yeah.
22:09Yeah, this is great.
22:10Oh, my gosh.
22:11I'm so happy about this.
22:12Yeah.
22:13Yeah?
22:14Okay, good.
22:15Just let it flow.
22:16Oh, so good.
22:17Yes.
22:18Judges really like it when I take big risks and do things that, like, other people aren't
22:22really doing, so I hope they like it.
22:24So good.
22:25I'm definitely worried for it because, like, it's not really flattering and the print isn't
22:30doing, like, any work for anybody.
22:32Just pull it so you can, like, get an idea.
22:35There's so many new things that I'm doing here.
22:37This look could go either way.
22:39They're either going to absolutely hate what I'm doing or they're going to love it.
22:43There is no in-between.
22:47Looks so cute on you.
22:49How do you like it?
22:50I like it.
22:51I love the overlay.
22:53This was exactly the dress she had in mind.
22:55And knowing that she loves it, it's just a great feeling.
22:58I think it really reflects both of us, which is what this challenge is all about.
23:02Oh, my gosh.
23:03It's the ambulance.
23:04Okay.
23:05Now, do you want this to cover more?
23:07Yeah.
23:08Go cut this real quick.
23:09There's not enough time.
23:10Ten minutes, everyone.
23:12Just make sure we're finished this thing here.
23:15I think it's going to look better the way you think.
23:17Yeah.
23:18I hope I made this the right size.
23:19I did this really cool triangle graphic leather belt.
23:22It's going to accentuate her waist and also put a little bit more of me in it.
23:25Not crazy about my look, but I know my client really likes it and that was a really big part of the challenge.
23:29This needs to be cuffed, definitely.
23:32Chris's look, but the hem is so bad.
23:34Oh, my God.
23:35There's so many puckers in it.
23:37Oh, yeah.
23:39All right.
23:40Yay.
23:41This looks good.
23:42Allie's look was bad and it's not my style.
23:45I didn't get to hem the bottom, but I really love the floral over top of the stripes and I feel like it's leisure wear.
23:52Okay.
23:53Lift your arm, please.
23:54I've really pushed myself a lot and grown as a designer in this particular challenge.
23:59All right, designers and models.
24:01We are going down to the runway, everyone.
24:04Follow me.
24:05Yay.
24:06I am excited for the runway because I think I might see, like, Miss Hannah's mouth say,
24:11I'm in love with this.
24:12Don't quote me on that.
24:13But, like, I love it to death.
24:15It'll be a great show.
24:16Hello, everybody.
24:26Hi.
24:27How's everyone doing today?
24:29Good.
24:30You know the drill by now, right?
24:32In fashion, one day you're in and the next day you're out.
24:35There are eight of you here and after tonight there will only be seven.
24:39For this challenge, you were to create date night looks for a very special group of clients.
24:44Firefighters and their significant others.
24:46We gave you one day and a trip to Mini Mood to create your looks.
24:50Let's say hello to our wonderful judges.
24:52First, we have CFDA designer, Christian Siriano.
24:55Hey, everyone.
24:56Fashion critic, author, and designer herself, Kelly Osborne.
25:00Hi, designers.
25:02And fashion director for Cosmopolitan and Seventeen magazine, Aya Kanai.
25:07Hi, designers.
25:08Hi, significant others.
25:10Also, we have Tim Gunn here for the runway show.
25:13Two.
25:14He is your mentor and he will not be judging your looks.
25:17As you know, there is no more immunity.
25:20That means that anyone could go home today.
25:22Okay, it's time for the show.
25:25Yay!
25:26Seeing my look come down the runway, Natalya looks great.
25:36It's super cute on her.
25:37It has that versatility she was looking for.
25:40Definitely has a little more edgy than bohemian, but there's so many touches that make it me.
25:45Love.
25:46Ooh, look at her go.
25:47I put, like, extra work into this, and I think it shows.
26:00I think she looks fantastic.
26:01The color looks great on her, and the fit is exactly what I wanted.
26:05I think this look definitely fits Miss Meghan's, like, date night vision.
26:09I think it definitely fits me.
26:10I think I made something that Kristen really likes.
26:17There are some elements in this from me.
26:18Cute little lace dress and a really cool jacket.
26:21Overall, I feel okay.
26:22I'm just unsure of what kind of taste this is going to leave in the judges' mouths.
26:25She looks amazing.
26:30It's, like, playful, it's fun, but it's also very sophisticated, I think.
26:35Work.
26:36I do think I capture what my client wanted, and it's new.
26:40You can't just buy it in any store.
26:42I'm feeling a lot better.
26:45I love it, and Tiffany looks amazing.
26:48It's really inspiring and cool.
26:50I mean, she's just a normal person like anyone else, and she's rocking it up there.
26:54Woo!
26:55I wanted to use a bold pattern, something that my client really wasn't used to, and I think I really, really delivered on that.
27:07My client's husband obviously knows that his wife looks really good in it, and I'm happy that he likes it, too.
27:17I think that my look is really pretty and has lots of color and movement.
27:22I'm not used to working with regular people and not models, so it might be a little off proportionally, but I really like the design that I made.
27:35Wow.
27:37Woo!
27:38When I see my look coming down the runway, I'm absolutely ecstatic.
27:43Rosemary wanted something fun and bright, but also really sexy, and I think this look captures that.
27:51This super bright red color looks incredible against her skin tone, and these little side details are delicate and feminine, and they look really great on her.
27:59I'm definitely feeling really good about this.
28:11If I call your name, please step forward.
28:13Chris.
28:15Molly.
28:17Allie.
28:19Cartier.
28:21Tyler.
28:23Izzy.
28:25If I have not called your name, congratulations, you are safe.
28:28You can lead the runway.
28:29My outfit's too good for this.
28:30Yeah, but don't be mad about it.
28:31I know, but we're in a good place right now.
28:45The six of you have the highest and the lowest scores.
28:50One of you will be the winner of this challenge, and one of you will be out.
28:53Coming up.
28:54I'm feeling hot and spicy.
28:55I'm into it.
28:56Oh, sorry.
28:57The issue that I have with it is fit.
28:58It's gorgeous.
29:00The winner of Project Runway Jr. will receive a full scholarship to the prestigious FIDM in California, a complete home sewing and crafting studio, plus the dream machine, all courtesy of Brother, a feature in Seventeen Magazine, and a $25,000 calendar.
29:21And a $25,000 cash prize to help launch their line.
29:25Also, Butter London will supply a year's worth of products and the opportunity to consult with Butter London to create a limited edition nail color collection.
29:34And styles from their finale collection will be manufactured by Los Angeles Development House, Lefty Production Company.
29:43The six of you have the highest and the lowest scores.
29:46One of you will be the winner of this challenge, and one of you will be out.
29:50Tyler, tell us about your client and your look.
29:53All right, so I have Miss Megan.
29:54This is Mr. Joe's wife.
29:55She says she's normally very conservative, so I wanted to, like, kind of step out of her comfort zone and go almost, like, more, like, sleek and sexy and just kind of, like, give her this body.
30:02Megan, how did you like your look?
30:04I loved it.
30:05He listened to everything I had to say, and I think it's, like, perfect for me.
30:08This look is beautiful.
30:09It's gorgeous.
30:11It fits Megan perfectly.
30:13It's very sophisticated.
30:14You kind of took a chance with this.
30:16I love the Boussier.
30:18I love the off-the-shoulder.
30:20And it was a pleasant departure from everything else you've shown us to see this coral.
30:24I love it.
30:25Chris?
30:26This is Kristen.
30:27Her and her husband have been together for 14 years.
30:29She likes to be, like, classy and clean.
30:31Not a lot of, like, print and texture.
30:32So that was interesting for me.
30:34And so I felt like a lace and the leather was a really good medium.
30:37Kristen, how did you feel about the look?
30:39When you brought out the lace and layered it over the other fabric, I thought, this is great.
30:44It's a little texture, but not a crazy pattern or print.
30:47I love that burgundy color, and I do like this waist that you gave her.
30:52This week you made clothes that are pretty and look great on your client.
30:55I guess I'm not sure if we have enough here.
30:58I feel like it's a little bit safe.
31:01Like, I needed a little bit more of a wow.
31:03At first I was looking for, where's the Chris in this?
31:05But now hearing that Kristen doesn't like crazy prints,
31:08the fact that you were able to provide something for a client,
31:11I think you did a really good job in the challenge.
31:14Cartier.
31:15This is the gorgeous Rosemary, and she is engaged to Felix.
31:18She wanted something really fun and really bright,
31:21and made her feel really sexy.
31:23When I started, the seams weren't going to be on the outside.
31:26I turned it around to fit it so I could get to the seams,
31:28and, um, I don't know, we really liked it.
31:30So we just kept it with it.
31:31You were like, whoa.
31:32Rosemary, we all fell in love with you when you walked down the runway.
31:36I want that dress.
31:38I want to be you.
31:39I'm obsessed.
31:42Rosemary, you look like a sexy modern-day Betty Boop.
31:45Cartier, you have pulled her in in all the right places.
31:49You're accentuating her beautiful physique.
31:52You made her feel hot and fearless, and that is so important.
31:55When you get that dress on when you're a woman,
31:57and you're like, yes, I can take over the world.
31:59Rosemary, I think you were on fire, honey.
32:01You dwarfed that runway.
32:03We've seen outer seams before done,
32:06but I think you did it in such a new way.
32:08Perfect for this challenge.
32:10I'm feeling hot and spicy. I'm into it.
32:12No one can make him feel hot and spicy,
32:14so that's a big deal.
32:16Rosemary, what did you think of the dress?
32:18I love it. I mean, I look good on it.
32:20I love working with her because she was a great listener.
32:25We didn't have any problem with the shoes, nothing.
32:27It was so inspiring to watch Rosemary walk down the runway
32:30because you could tell she was just feeling it.
32:33And Felix is a lucky guy.
32:35Congratulations to Felix, too.
32:40This is my client, Melinda.
32:42She has been married to Fireman Chris for 27 years.
32:45She has, like, a really bohemian vibe,
32:47and she likes really comfortable clothes.
32:48And I haven't really done anything, like,
32:50bohemian or flowy,
32:51so I was really excited to, like, do that.
32:53Melinda, how do you feel about your look?
32:55I love it.
32:56I like loose clothing.
32:57I'm not used to very tight clothing.
32:59It's light and it's airy.
33:01I really like your look.
33:02It was flowing, but it was kind of, like, overly messy.
33:05I know we want to keep her happy,
33:07but I just don't think it's the most flattering silhouette
33:10it could be.
33:11Where, to me, the dimensions are off is the underlay in the skirt.
33:14Because it's a mini skirt and it's pleated and it kicks out,
33:17it creates more volume.
33:19I really like you in red.
33:21I do think this black skirt underneath is a little distracting.
33:26I like this look.
33:27Good job.
33:28The fit issues are clear.
33:30But the most negative piece of feedback that I could give to a designer
33:34is that you were too safe.
33:37And I saw you trying here.
33:39For us, at this stage in the competition, we want to see people who are putting on a show.
33:46Ally.
33:47So this is the gorgeous Tiffany.
33:49She has been married to Mike since 2012.
33:52And they dated for 16 years before that.
33:55I put the stripes underneath the floral and she said it was genius.
33:58So I made an overlay.
34:00Just, it's kind of like a vest.
34:01What took super long was that I had to line up all of the stripes.
34:06I wish we could have seen that.
34:08Yeah.
34:09Tiffany, what do you think about your look?
34:11I feel good in it.
34:12I like comfortable clothes, but I do like something that could sort of shape me a little bit.
34:17I'm so sad that the best part of it is covered up.
34:20This seems like not an evening look.
34:23To me, it's just a robe on top of a dress.
34:25I just think now in the competition, you can't be safe.
34:28And I'd rather see you try something really interesting and new and different.
34:32We appreciate ideas more than safeness.
34:35And I think this is just a bit too safe for me.
34:39Molly.
34:40So this is Natalia and she's been together with Tony for a little over a year now.
34:44She loves a knit bodycon dress.
34:47I decided to create the bohemian element to it.
34:50This pleated skirt and she loves pleats.
34:53So it's something that, you know, could kind of add versatility to this look.
34:56Natalia, how do you feel about your look?
34:58I like the fact that Molly was able to capture my style.
35:01I'm very minimalist, but I do like an edge to my wardrobe.
35:05This is actually removable.
35:06Can we see what it looks like?
35:10Wow.
35:11Such a good idea.
35:12Out of every look we saw today, yours was the most fashion forward.
35:15You've taken somebody out of their comfort zone and put them in something completely new.
35:19Yeah.
35:20That they're like, yeah, I'm loving this.
35:21Yeah.
35:22It feels fashion forward without having to try too hard.
35:24I think that the color blocking was really smart.
35:27It's so flattering on your body, so well thought out.
35:31She looks gorgeous.
35:32I love this dress.
35:33I think you knocked it out of the park.
35:35You really learned about your client.
35:37You learned that she's got like cool style and that cool style and comfort can actually go together in a look like this.
35:44Now we're going to take a closer look at your designs, discuss amongst ourselves, and then we'll bring you back to the runway.
35:51How'd it go?
35:52Me, Allie, and Chris are on the bottom.
35:54They were kind of underwhelmed by me and Chris, I think.
35:55You hid your details that they would have liked to see the most, they said.
35:58Yeah.
35:59They liked yours, but they were just underwhelmed.
36:00It was safe.
36:01It wasn't me and it was clothing, they said.
36:02And I agree to a certain extent.
36:03Hi, Tim.
36:04Hi.
36:05Hi, Tim.
36:06Shall we begin with Megan wearing Tyler?
36:07Look, this is nice because it's no stretch, really.
36:08The only fault I can find in this is because it's not double-backed.
36:09I have this one-inch hemline at the bottom.
36:10And that cut is so flattering on you, and then the shape is so elegant.
36:13And we have Natalia wearing Molly.
36:14Mmm, this is fabulous.
36:15Very well done.
36:16And I know she took you out of your comfort zone, too.
36:17Oh, flattering.
36:18You have to tell me that it wasn't me and it wasn't me and it was clothing, they said.
36:19And I agree to a certain extent.
36:20Hi, Tim.
36:21Hi.
36:22Hi.
36:23Hi, Tim.
36:24Hi.
36:25Hi, Tim.
36:26Shall we begin with Megan wearing Tyler?
36:27Look, this is nice because it's no stretch, really.
36:28And we have Natalia wearing Molly.
36:31Mmm, this is fabulous.
36:32Very well done.
36:33And I know she took you out of your comfort zone, too.
36:35Oh, flattering.
36:36It's so flattering.
36:37It has a drama to it that makes it really special.
36:43Rosemary can get sexy butt over here.
36:45This is the inside of the dress.
36:47How fabulous is that?
36:48Yeah.
36:49I mean, I want to say Rosemary is responsible for giving Cartier an epiphany.
36:53Pushed her in the right direction.
36:54Yeah, I know.
36:55And she needs to realize that she can take these risks.
36:57Melinda's wearing Izzy.
36:58How do we feel about this black skirt?
36:59Awful.
37:00Sorry.
37:01It adds volume where you don't really want it.
37:02I wanted the black to go away, too.
37:03You guys, I'm sorry, but this looks like something from Carnival.
37:04She definitely did not, like, knock it out of the park today, but I do think that Izzy
37:17does try to put on a show.
37:20Tiffany is wearing Ellie.
37:23The hem is cut and it's bra and it's crazy.
37:26I just don't understand why she would hide this dress behind a robe.
37:30Yeah.
37:31We are not, like, here to make outfits to, like, go run errands in.
37:35This is Project Runway Junior.
37:36I mean, this is not just, like, let's make it close.
37:39Yeah.
37:40And we have Kristen wearing Chris.
37:44The fact that he compromised to make you feel great.
37:47Oh, he did.
37:48I just think, like, the finishing is a bit scary.
37:50If this was super polished, we would have probably had different feedback.
37:59Thank you, judges.
38:00Thank you, Tim.
38:01Clearly, the winner is between Cartier and Molly.
38:03Yes.
38:04Unfortunately, we do have to send someone home today.
38:07I think it's between Ally and Izzy.
38:10Let's talk about Izzy.
38:11This week, it was just a little bit of a hot mess.
38:14I just didn't really love the clothes.
38:16Ally has, I felt like, played it very safe in this competition.
38:19The only one who has never shown us something that we're like, wow, over, is Ally.
38:24All right, have we made our decision?
38:27Okay, let's bring the designers back out.
38:32The six of you have the highest and the lowest scores.
38:35One of you will be the winner, and unfortunately, one of you will be out.
38:46The six of you have the highest and the lowest scores.
38:49One of you will be the winner, and unfortunately, one of you will be out.
38:54Cartier, you are the winner of this challenge.
39:00Thank you so much.
39:03Cartier, we loved your look.
39:05It was stunning and super chic.
39:07It feels really good to win a challenge.
39:09I took a risk, and my client loves it, but I'm really excited about it.
39:13Cartier, Tyler, Molly, Chris, you are all in.
39:20You can leave the runway.
39:24Allie, Izzy, unfortunately, one of you will be out.
39:35Izzy, your usual dramatic flare didn't quite work this time.
39:39Your choices led to problems with the fit and silhouette.
39:42Allie, the outfit looked mismatched and confusing, and we think it was a little safe for you.
39:49Allie, I am sorry you're out.
40:02Izzy, that means you're in.
40:04You can leave the runway.
40:07We're going to miss you.
40:08Big time.
40:09I'm going to miss this.
40:10Let me give you a hug.
40:14This one just really wasn't my challenge.
40:31It was the best I could do in the situation, but I wish I could have done more.
40:38Bye.
40:40I didn't think it would be me yet, but I've made so many friends here.
40:55I'll never forget the experience.
40:58Tough, huh?
41:00An extremely talented designer in Allie who's leaving us.
41:05Just as important to me as your talent, which is exceptional.
41:08You are an amazing individual with beautiful qualities of character.
41:13And I'm going to miss that part of you.
41:16So I have to send you to the work room to clean up your space, okay?
41:20Bye, guys.
41:21We're going to miss you terribly.
41:23We're going to miss everybody.
41:25Bye, Allie.
41:26Hi.
41:27Love you guys.
41:28This is just the beginning.
41:29I love to be able to create beautiful things, help be able to show people what I can do, and that I've got so much more in me.
41:42Next time on Project Runway Junior...
41:44Buena sera!
41:45The winner of this challenge will win a trip to Italy.
41:48Oh!
41:49Oh, my God!
41:50Oh, no, it's oil!
41:52It's stunning.
41:54I just questioned whether it's enough.
41:56We have a pocket potpourri.
41:57What's a pocket potpourri?
42:00It feels like real fashion.
42:02I don't know how you did that.
42:03This is a crafty look.
42:05I don't even know who I am as a designer anymore.
42:07Homegirl is about to fall out.
42:09I don't want to see her boobies.
42:10I don't want this to be the end.
