00:00Good evening. It's going to feel quite warm and humid still through tonight across many southern areas, but tomorrow will
00:05feel considerably fresher.
00:07There's also a chance of some more significant rain to southern counties through tonight.
00:11That's thanks to this waving front.
00:13There is still some uncertainty on exactly how extensive the rain will be by Tuesday morning, but there's the potential
00:18for some more significant rainfall.
00:20Further north, we've got low pressure in charge, and that will be bringing some gusty winds to parts of the
00:25north and west through the rest of today and through much of Tuesday as well.
00:29So blustery showers, gale force winds across western Scotland, some gusty blustery showers across northern England as well for a
00:37time overnight tonight.
00:38This band of rain will sink southwards, covering much of England and Wales to start the day on Tuesday.
00:44So a lot of cloud around, many areas not seeing particularly significant rainfall amounts, but there is the potential for
00:50some heavier bursts across the south coast in particular through the early hours of Tuesday.
00:55So in all this cloud and rain, it's still going to feel quite humid overnight tonight, but once the rain
01:00clears further north, there'll be a much fresher feel.
01:03So slightly more comfortable for sleeping across northern areas, but a very windy and wet start to the day across
01:09north and western areas of the UK, particularly northern and western Scotland.
01:13Some frequent showers through much of Tuesday.
01:16Bit of a wet start potentially in the south and east, particularly across the very far south coast.
01:21But once that does clear, it will become much brighter and drier by lunchtime onwards.
01:26So plenty of sunshine to come through Tuesday afternoon.
01:29Relatively light winds for many southern areas.
01:32A breezy day though further north with frequent showers, particularly across parts of northern Scotland.
01:38But those showers could affect parts of north Wales as well as northern England.
01:41And there's the potential for gusts up to around 35 miles per hour in those showers too.
01:46On the whole, a significantly fresher day across the UK.
01:50Temperatures much closer to average for the time of year.
01:53The mid to high teens for many areas in the low 20s.
01:56So a couple of degrees down tomorrow compared to today.
01:59But it should still feel quite bright and calm across the south and east.
02:03This area of low pressure skirts down the east coast of the UK through Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning.
02:09Bringing some stronger winds to eastern coast, north sea coast throughout Wednesday morning.
02:14And a chance of an odd shower.
02:16Most other areas though turning much drier and clearer.
02:19A few showers here and there.
02:20But they're going to be far lighter than we will have seen across northern areas throughout the next couple of
02:26days.
02:26And that brings us into a much brighter and drier Wednesday.
02:30So it's going to be a cooler start to the day on the whole.
02:32Temperatures rurally down in single figures to start the day on Wednesday.
02:36And then plenty of sunshine to come throughout the day.
02:39Not entirely dry.
02:40There is a chance of a shower across parts of Irish Sea coast as well as North Sea coast.
02:45But inland areas dry and bright.
02:47And for Scotland where it will have been very unsettled the next couple of days.
02:50Wednesday is looking significantly drier and calmer.
02:54Temperatures very similar though on Wednesday at face value.
02:57It's going to feel quite different to this though.
02:59In the high teens further north.
03:01Lower 20s across the very far south coast.
03:04But with lighter winds it's going to feel warmer than these temperatures suggest.
03:08We've still got quite long daylight hours throughout September.
03:11Though the days are getting shorter which makes for even better sunset.
03:14So I do hope you enjoy one this evening.
03:16And I'll catch you again soon.
03:17Bye bye.
03:18Bye bye.
03:18Bye bye.
03:18Bye bye.
