00:00Hello, good evening. Many of us will experience quite a fine and dry end to the day.
00:05There's more wet weather on the way though into Thursday.
00:08Another dry day to come on Friday before more rain on the weekend.
00:11But through the rest of tonight, high pressure brings plenty of dry and clear weather overnight,
00:16particularly across eastern areas. That's where the skies will be the clearest for longest.
00:21Across the west though, you can see this wet weather for Thursday already starting to push
00:24into parts of Northern Ireland and Western Scotland.
00:27The other thing to note with this is strengthening southerly winds as well.
00:31So it's going to be a breezier day into Thursday.
00:33But ahead of that, a chilly start on Thursday morning, particularly rurally across parts of eastern Scotland,
00:39down to one degree. Parts of rural Wales potentially down to three degrees.
00:43And many towns and cities just about double digits.
00:46So certainly a fresh start if you're stepping out early.
00:49It is going to feel a little bit warmer than today though by the end of the day,
00:52particularly across the east. That's due to that switch in wind direction.
00:56But there will be more wet weather across parts of Scotland, northern Western England,
01:01parts of West Wales, southwestern England, where the rain is going to be much lighter
01:04across more southern areas. But there's a chance of some showery outbreaks through much of the day.
01:09Some heavy bursts of rain possible here and there across parts of Northern Ireland,
01:13as well as Scotland.
01:15Eastern England will likely remain dry through much of the day,
01:18though the rain will push into these areas by the evening time.
01:21And with those southerly winds, it's going to feel a little bit warmer on Thursday compared to today.
01:25Temperatures climbing a couple of degrees higher, just to the low 20s.
01:29For many though, we'll be in the high teens.
01:31Note that strong southwesterly wind though will bring quite a blustery afternoon of too many western coasts.
01:38Showers will continue through Thursday evening.
01:40The rain a little bit more on and off than it will have been through the day.
01:43And it does turn drier by Friday morning for much of the UK, particularly up to the north and west.
01:48The rain turning more persistent for a time across the south and east through the early hours of Friday.
01:53There's some uncertainty with exactly how quickly this rain clears the far south and east.
01:59So it could be a bit of a wet start to the day or a wet morning at least.
02:03But it is going to be a warmer night on Thursday night.
02:05Temperatures up a few degrees thanks to all that cloud and rain.
02:09Potentially feeling a little bit fresher by the very start of the day, though, across the far north and west.
02:15There's going to be more sunshine around on Friday.
02:17Very similar day to Wednesday, actually, to come on Friday.
02:20Though rain could linger a little while across the south and east.
02:24A few showers here and there, but they look relatively light.
02:26I think most of us are in for a dry end to the week with plenty of sunshine around as
02:31well.
02:32Feeling a little bit warmer, though, compared to Wednesday.
02:35Temperatures climbing to 23 or 24 degrees.
02:38And in the low 20s quite widely across England and Wales.
02:42Further north in the high teens, so quite close to average.
02:45But a little bit warmer than the past couple of days have been.
02:49That fine weather doesn't last all that long as the weather has been changing quite a lot this week.
02:53There are more changes on the way this weekend.
02:55Wet weather on Saturday in particular.
02:58A little bit drier on Sunday.
