00:00Good evening. Further wet weather will push into more northwestern areas through this evening. Elsewhere, pretty murky and warm at
00:07night to come. It's going to feel quite muggy, I think, for many of us.
00:10We're in the warm sector across more southern areas. Fresher air will affect more northern areas. Weather's waving front comes
00:16and goes that will bring pulses of rain to more northwestern areas through the next few days before high pressure
00:22moves in more widely.
00:24But for the time being through this evening, we'll see some slightly thicker cloud across central areas of England, bringing
00:30some spells of rain.
00:31But it's further north where we'll see the focus of any showers through this evening.
00:34Many eastern areas will remain largely dry through much of the night and cloud will really thicken from the south
00:40and west through tonight.
00:41So there could be some outbreaks of drizzly rain in the south coast, parts of South Wales as well, over
00:46the high ground and across coastal areas.
00:48But the heaviest rain through tomorrow morning is going to be across parts of Northern Ireland and then later on
00:54into Scotland.
00:55But with lots of cloud around, relatively light winds and that mild air, it's going to be a mild night.
01:00Temperatures around 17 or 18 degrees across eastern areas of England in the mid-teens elsewhere to start the day.
01:06So a very mild start to the day.
01:08And it will feel quite humid and hot across eastern areas of England in particular through much of Thursday.
01:14A comparatively much wetter day to come across the north and west as this band of rain pushes into parts
01:20of Northern England as well as much of Scotland through Thursday morning.
01:24There's some uncertainty in exactly the extent of this rain, but it's likely to affect many northern areas at least
01:30at some point through the day.
01:32And there will be quite a lot of cloud around through much of the day as well.
01:35Further south, much brighter day, plenty of sunshine around, possibly slightly hazier sunshine across more western areas.
01:42But where we do see the clearest skies, temperatures climbing towards 30 degrees, likely to reach around 29 degrees on
01:48Thursday.
01:49So very hot indeed for the time of year.
01:51There's a risk of thundery downpours across the far southeast coast of England through Thursday evening.
01:56We would also see some thundery downpours in this rain across the northwest on Friday night, on Thursday night as
02:02well.
02:02As the front reinvigorates as it pushes back into the parts of Northern Ireland as well as western Scotland to
02:10start Friday morning.
02:11So another wet start to the day.
02:13Again, some uncertainty in the extent, the width of this band of rain.
02:18So exactly how far south it pushes into all areas of southern Scotland and northern England.
02:22Well, those details are yet to be ironed out.
02:25But further south into parts of Wales, much of central southern England, it should be a dry start to the
02:30day.
02:30And another quite mild one as well.
02:32A risk of some mist and fog around, particularly across western areas of the UK.
02:37This band of rain continues to affect more northern areas through much of Friday, bringing a risk of heavy pulses
02:43of rain.
02:43It's feeding up from the south, lots of moisture coming up from the south and west that will continue to
02:49bring some quite persistent rain.
02:50But very dry and very sunny and quite hot indeed across the south and east.
02:56Temperatures are likely to reach 30 degrees, if not a little above, on Friday across south eastern England as well
03:02as parts of East Anglia too.
03:04Elsewhere, temperatures in the mid-20s, so likely to be the hottest day of the week, that's for sure, across
03:09much of England and Wales.
03:11But much fresher still across the far north and west.
03:14Temperatures just in the mid-teens across the far north-west of Scotland.
03:18So a big difference north to south into Friday.
03:21That does change into the weekend, however, as high pressure becomes more dominant to bring a more widely settled few
03:26days.
03:27But Alex has more details on that on our YouTube channel and the latest 10-day trend.
03:31Go and check it out. Bye-bye.
