00:00Good morning. A more humid and warm day today, particularly across the south. Most of us
00:06will notice a little bit of cloud out there, but it is going to be a drier day for most
00:10of us, at least throughout this morning. A few showers, though, still affecting more
00:14southern coasts of England. Drier for more north and eastern areas, some sunshine for
00:19the time being before it turns wetter and cloudier into this afternoon from the north
00:23and west. That's because the weather front is arriving from the Atlantic. It's going
00:27to persist across more northwestern areas until Friday morning, once it does arrive
00:32into this afternoon. To the south of that, we should brighten up this afternoon, and it
00:36is going to feel quite warm and humid. Temperatures rising towards the higher 20s, 27 degrees in
00:41the south and east, but many areas approaching the mid-20s. So certainly a warm day for many
00:46central and southern areas. Fresher, though, further north, where we're closer to an area
00:50of low pressure, and we're the other side of this weather front, so we've got fresher
00:54air from more northern areas. So that will affect parts of Scotland through this evening.
00:59Showery rain pushing across western Scotland, but the most persistent rain is likely to linger
01:04across parts of northern England, north Wales. So some uncertainty in the extent of this rainfall,
01:09so it may not look exactly like this, but there's potential for some quite heavy rain for parts
01:14of north Wales and northern England in particular by Friday morning, before this rain then sinks
01:19southwards into Friday. So ahead of the weather front, another warm and humid night to come
01:24across more southern areas. To the north, though, a fresher night with more westerly
01:29winds as we're close to that area of low pressure. But it's going to be a bit of an unsettled
01:34start
01:34across parts of Scotland. Outbreaks of showery and at times heavy, blustery rain will linger
01:39through the day. We'll turn a bit drier across parts of northern England, north Wales, as this
01:44weather front pushes southwards into more southern areas of England and south Wales throughout the
01:49afternoon to bring a spell of wet weather. But it should clear by the end of the day and it
01:54will
01:54feel a little bit cooler once it does. Still quite humid, though, into the afternoon across the very
01:59far south and east. But I think by the end of the day and at least overnight, Friday night into
02:04Saturday, you will notice the difference in the air as we head towards the weekend. The weekend is
02:11looking relatively dry and settled for much of the UK, though it will likely turn a little bit windy
02:16into Sunday across more northern areas. But you can find more details on that on our YouTube channel,
02:21which if you haven't already, you must subscribe to. Bye bye.
