00:00Hello there, welcome to your Wednesday morning weather update from the Met Office.
00:04We have high pressure influencing our weather through the next few days.
00:09And if you live in the north, a lighter breeze, the chance of some frost and fog by night.
00:13Further south we have a brisk breeze coming in from an easterly direction, so it's going
00:17to feel chilly in that wind and again the chance of some fairly light showers.
00:22As that high drifts towards Scandinavia, the winds will gradually ease towards the south.
00:27This morning though, there is some fog around across Scotland and Northern Ireland with
00:31some patchy frost, one or two very light showers, and then we run into more clouds and some drizzly
00:36showers just moving in with that keen wind from the east and further south across central
00:41and southern parts of England and Wales.
00:43It's a similar situation.
00:45So those showers again just will come and go through the morning.
00:48They're moving fairly slowly, drifting from east to west, but across the northern half
00:54of the UK, closest to the cell of high pressure.
00:57That's where you'll see some pleasant conditions, some sunshine coming through and that cloud
01:02just broken mostly.
01:04More clouds through the afternoon across Wales, central southern England, down towards the
01:08west country.
01:08It could break towards the east later.
01:10And here are your temperatures.
01:12Around average for this time of year, but where you experience the strength of the wind, particularly
01:17across England and Wales, this east coast, southeast coast, Channel Coast, then it is going
01:21to feel rather chilly.
01:22And again, watch out for some light showers further south and south-west through the afternoon.
01:28Through this evening and overnight, yet again we'll see some starry skies across Scotland,
01:33Northern Ireland and even the far north of England from time to time.
01:36A bit more cloud drifts in from the North Sea though, but where you continue to see those
01:40clearer skies, a patchy frost and fog can't be ruled out.
01:44Further south, yes, a mix of clouds and some drizzly showers, and these will come and go,
01:48particularly across more southern and south-western areas with that brisk wind, and that wind
01:52will be with us throughout the day across England and Wales, even border regions.
01:58But further north, particularly towards the north-west of Scotland, that's where you'll
02:01see the best of any sunshine and a lighter wind.
02:04Here's your outlook through Friday.
02:06We're chasing cloud yet again.
02:08Certainly there will be some brighter breaks around the far north-west, even towards the
02:12south-east through the afternoon, but also some drizzly showers.
02:15I'll see you soon.
02:18Here's one.
02:18Bye bye.
02:18Apparently Iべenss happy.
02:19I'll see you soon.
02:19Here's one.
02:19How about two of us?
