00:00Not too many fireworks with the weather at the moment, but for bonfire night itself,
00:05we'll have the details on that in just a second.
00:07First of all, let's get back to Wednesday evening, where there's quite a lot of cloud around.
00:11The wind's fairly light across Scotland, in particular with clear skies in western Scotland,
00:16actually turning quite chilly here.
00:18Pockets of frost possible, same goes for the west of Northern Ireland, and some mist and fog.
00:22Elsewhere, the breeze mixing things up a little bit, stopping too much in the way of mist and fog,
00:26but also still bringing in quite a lot of cloud, and a few light showers here and there,
00:31but quite a few showers just grazing along the south of both Devon and Cornwall,
00:35so it could be quite a wet night here.
00:38The cloud, as I say, keeping the temperatures up, but where we see breaks,
00:41we could easily dip down to four or five celties across England and Wales,
00:45and in western parts of Scotland, the west of Northern Ireland.
00:48As I mentioned, in rural spots, some pockets of frost are possible,
00:52along with some mist and fog, which may take a while to clear.
00:55On to Thursday's details, similar to Wednesday.
00:58The breeze still coming in from the east, still quite noticeable on these eastern coasts.
01:02The showers across the south of Devon and Cornwall should ease for a time.
01:06Perhaps a brighter day for eastern counties of England.
01:09The cloud may be breaking up to reveal some sunnier spells,
01:11whereas for eastern Scotland, probably a duller day, a thicker cloud here,
01:15and at times some light showers drifting through, as we could also see in Northern Ireland.
01:20Again, the west coast of Scotland, the western Ireland's doing pretty well for sunny spells,
01:24and we should, as I say, see some brighter skies elsewhere too.
01:27And the sun still makes a bit of a difference to the temperature,
01:31certainly to the feel of the day.
01:33So with light winds, 10, 11 degrees on the west coast after that chilly start here,
01:37feeling quite pleasant.
01:38Whereas in the east coast, 10, 11 Celsius with grey skies and that breeze,
01:43that'll feel pretty chilly once more.
01:44Now, down across the south, we are looking at some wetter weather moving up across the Channel Isles initially.
01:49And then through Thursday evening, we could easily see some more persistent outbreaks of rain
01:54spreading into southwest England.
01:56So it could well turn quite damp.
01:58Parts of Dorset, Somerset, Devon, Cornwall, perhaps into south Wales.
02:02If you are heading out for bonfire night, bear that in mind.
02:05Still a few light showers dribbling in at times over southern Scotland.
02:09Maybe one or two for Northern Ireland all set.
02:12But the winds remained coming in from the east, but they are easing down as we head into Friday.
02:18So light winds again where we've got clear skies that will allow it to turn a bit chilly
02:21and maybe one or two mist and fog patches.
02:23But a different feel for Friday across southern counties of England.
02:26The cloud a bit thicker here.
02:28Some more outbreaks of rain, perhaps even one or two heavier bursts of rain possible,
02:33especially again across parts of Devon and Cornwall,
02:35but also parts of Mid and South Wales seeing a little bit more in the way of rain.
02:39Now, we do need rain in these areas, so that's probably good news,
02:41but it's not going to be a huge amount, I don't suspect.
02:44Yet again on Friday, with the general flow of the air coming up from the southeast,
02:49it'll be the far northwest that does best for sunniest skies.
02:53Elsewhere, a lot of places just dry and cloudy once more.
02:57And temperatures again close to the average for the time of year,
02:59but probably feeling a bit warmer on the east coast,
03:02because the winds should be a little bit lighter at least.
03:06The weather slowly looking like changing a little bit as we head into next week,
03:11but a bit of uncertainty about that.
