02:59Buckle up, Trinidad and Tobago.
03:17Good evening, Trinidad and Tobago, and to our international audience.
03:20This is Beyond The Tape.
03:22I'm your host, Whitney Husbands.
03:23Now, I hope those of you had an enjoyable and safe weekend.
03:27Now, we are going straight into some serious fatalities that took place as well.
03:32And, of course, condolences going out to the family where we saw two tragic accidents that took place.
03:38Two in Trinidad, two in Tobago claiming the lives of those two individuals along with where we saw earlier today
03:46in the Grand Bazaar area where a pedestrian was also knocked down and tragically killed.
03:51And we are also getting further information where we saw fatal killings that took place in Belmont, also in the
04:00Valencia area.
04:01And let's just say with the weekend, apart from all the tragic incidents that took place, we saw a major
04:08influencer and streamer who is globally known throughout the world who made his presence felt in Trinidad and Tobago.
04:17And let's just say the young ones, along with the parents, because they needed to be there, they needed to
04:22get a glimpse of eye show speed.
04:24And they were able to showcase Trinidad and Tobago as quickly as they could because it was literally like five
04:31hours and counting to showcase the best of Trinidad and Tobago.
04:35And they did an excellent job.
04:36And I know the children were happy to see him.
04:39Now, we have a lot to discuss.
04:40And on a Monday, we have the gentleman who is always here with us, willing to help us and to
04:45help families find closure.
04:47We have our captain this evening, Captain Rambarack.
04:50Good evening to you, sir.
04:51Good evening, Whitney, and a pleasant good evening to our viewership on Beyond the Tape and TV6.
04:56And it's a pleasure to be here again.
04:58And when I saw Aisha Speed, I said, Mr. Rambarack, you're getting old.
05:06Because I had no idea who was him, but I want to tell you something.
05:11Because I have always admired the young people, the Gen Z generation, those on TikTok, who go around the world
05:21doing these things.
05:22And I picture myself, I said, if that opportunity was available to me when I was much younger, I would
05:29be doing that.
05:30And so, you know, you have a lot of Trinidadians, young Trinidadians, young citizens doing this all over the world.
05:38And it's a great trend, and I love it, and I think it's very exciting.
05:42And, you know, I believe in the young people.
05:44Yes, yes, yes.
05:45Right, and it took me by surprise.
05:47And I said to myself, you know, there's no way.
05:51But I enjoyed viewing the experiences, the food.
05:55I mean, I think we're internationally known now for food cuisine, for our cuisine, and that's excellent.
06:05But, you know, sometimes when I come here on a Monday, I really feel that sometimes I am the harbinger
06:13of bad news.
06:15And, but let me say, it feels good to be standing next to my co-host, Pretty in Pink, this
06:22evening.
06:22So that lifted my spirits a bit.
06:25But really, Whitney, the latest information is that two gentlemen, that is, who were, you know, having an evening in
06:36Lopino yesterday, evening in 167 or 171,
06:40that is Bernard Mahabey and Kenneth Gill, they were posted as missing this morning.
06:46And a short while ago, their burnt bodies were found in the vehicle driven by Kenneth Gill in the Valencia
06:53district.
06:54And I know Jackie was sure, I did sign up an area.
06:59This is an area well known to us.
07:02Whitney, just north of Haripasad, Sons and Quarries, the Valencia Old Road, which will take you from Valencia to Toko.
07:09This area here highlighted is an area known as the Tapana Quarries.
07:16And that's a short while ago, the vehicle was found there with two burnt bodies in it by the Trinidad
07:22and Tobago Police Service.
07:23And, you know, to me, that is really sad.
07:26These gentlemen, they haven't lived full lives, you know, went maybe for a little lime in Lopino.
07:35And the relatives saw them leaving there at about 5.30 p.m. last evening.
07:41And it's so sad that their bodies were found burned.
07:44But it's signs of the times, and it seems from the information I have thus far that it may be
07:53a crime of opportunity, you know, robbery.
07:57Because my understanding is that one of the gentleman's bank cards that was used, it was used most likely, I
08:06believe, in the Arema and Sandy Grande district between yesterday evening and this morning.
08:11So it seems to be, it's early times now, but it seems to be a crime of opportunity.
08:17But to lose two elderly citizens, citizens in good standing like that, is really, really sad.
08:25And then you spoke about the road fatalities.
08:29I mean, two on the weekend, four on the weekend.
08:32And then I just passed the one on my Grand Bazaar on my way up there.
08:36The funeral home, hers, is still on site.
08:40So somebody was knocked down there.
08:42We have to continue to advocate to our drivers to be disciplined.
08:48Because at the end of the day, everything that we report here with respect to criminal activity comes back to
08:55human behavior.
08:56We have one million plus adults in Trinidad and Tobago, and it is said that each one of us are
09:02different.
09:03And therefore, we have different types of behaviors.
09:06But for society to be well organized and for us to work well, we have to hone in on some
09:13of these behaviors and try and get people to, you know, conform to what we feel is the best practice
09:20out there.
09:20And in terms of road safety, we continue every day, you're highlighting RTAs, right?
09:27We continue to inform the public until we turn blue-purple or even...
09:31We have to do it.
09:32Yes.
09:32We have to do it to get the drivers to slow down.
09:35Because I think it's two things.
09:37When you look at it, it's two things.
09:39It's always driving under the influence of alcohol or speeding.
09:43That will result in those type of fatal crashes.
09:46Now, Captain, condolences to the family of the two gentlemen's lives that were taken.
09:52And now we send condolences on behalf of the TTPS along with the families of the Eversley because we saw
09:59the WPC, Anushka Eversley, was laid to rest today.
10:06Once again, condolences going down to the family, her colleagues, and persons who were there as friends and supporters of
10:13this...
10:13And I'm seeing Wendell Eversley there, her uncle, who took to social media, you know, to speak to the population
10:21about the murder of his niece.
10:25Yes.
10:26Condolences to Anushka Eversley's family.
10:29And the thing about it is, on the flip side, you have the police continuing to work on the case.
10:36We know for a fact that we now have three people, I believe, who have been...
10:42One was charged.
10:43...for murder.
10:44Thus far.
10:45For murder.
10:45And the investigation with respect to the missing firearms and ammunition, that continues.
10:52But I can just understand how her colleagues are feeling.
10:57And this is time for us, you know, to console them and comfort them.
11:01And there we're seeing the new head of the municipal police.
11:06Municipal police, yes.
11:06Yeah.
11:07Acting commission of police there.
11:10So, condolences to the family once again.
11:15Once again.
11:15And, of course, her colleagues as well at the municipal police also.
11:20Now, we have a mission that...
11:23Yeah, there was one person after last Monday's program, we got a call about a missing young man, 40 years
11:31old, from the Bonnet, Five Rivers, Aruka area.
11:35The thing about Ezekiel John, Ezekiel John is both hearing impaired and nonverbal.
11:46And when you speak to people in his community, he has never done anything wrong in his life except to
11:54cultivate the lands behind his house and to work for people in the community.
11:59There was an outpouring of support for Ezekiel last evening when a discovery was made.
12:08So, Whitney, Hunter Search and Rescue Team, I led the team for two days searching the foothills of the Northern
12:15Range in that Aruka district.
12:18And that, those two days were very tough.
12:21Yesterday at around 3.10 p.m., I was on a ridge and I got a fob stench and when
12:28the team went down, we were able to discover skeletal remains of a human in a stony water course.
12:38From initial appearance, the bones looked burnt, but the surrounding areas were not burnt.
12:46So, it told us that the body was not burnt in that area.
12:52Now, immediately after the discovery and having informed the police, I asked the team to do some checks around to
12:59see if they could find a fire pit where this body was burnt.
13:02And about 300 feet from the area where the burnt body was found, they were able to find the fire
13:10pit.
13:10And his sheets, the remnants of his sheets was found there.
13:16Now, the thing is, it's badly burned, so the family will have to go through DNA testing and he will
13:22remain as a missing person until we can officially identify it.
13:26But, we feel strongly that those remains are his.
13:31Nobody else in the area is missing.
13:34And it was a sad day in Five Rivers, Aruka, yes, last evening.
13:39Where you went missing from, by the way?
13:41Whom?
13:41Actually, I got the report last Tuesday.
13:46And the reason why we did an action research was between Tuesday and Friday morning, there were a number of
13:54sightings, reported sightings of him, by the community, by residents.
13:59And it was only when they got CCTV footage to confirm that on Saturday morning, he left, he returned home
14:12and did not leave again.
14:15We got that report on Friday.
14:17And when I got that report from the family saying, after that, Mr. Rambrough, he did not leave home and
14:25said, we're coming.
14:26So, we know that if he didn't leave through the front of your door, you're in the back.
14:31So, that's why we started the search on Saturday morning, but I'll tell you something with me.
14:37When it comes to women, children, and the women, children, the elderly, and persons who are disabled, we rarely put
14:47off best foot forward in the searchings.
14:50And, unfortunately, that's what we found.
14:55And, you know, it was really sad.
15:00Yeah, extremely sad.
15:01Now, there was some information that we got with the TTPS on the incident at the Railway Line Road, Victoria
15:08Village, in San Fernando.
15:10Now, the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service confirmed that officers responded to a report of a wounding incident at Railway
15:18Line Road, Victoria Village, San Fernando, around 1 a.m. this morning, where EHS personnel had requested assistance.
15:25Now, upon arrival at the scene, the set officers were escorted to an unpainted two-story structure and a two
15:33-bedroom on the upper floor of the building where they observed a man lying on a bed suffering from a
15:39wound to the head.
15:41The man was conveyed for medical treatment.
15:43He was later identified as Quasi Alfred of Railway Line Road, Victoria Village, San Fernando.
15:50Now, the officers subsequently received further information and proceeded to another location at Railway Line Road, Victoria Village.
15:59On arrival on the premises, which was found to be a flat concrete structure with an unsecured yard, that is,
16:08the officers were then approached by a man of East Indian descent who was armed with a cutlass in his
16:14left hand and a hammer in his right.
16:17Now, being approached by the gentleman, the officers who apprehended the individual immediately saw danger and kept the use of
16:27force policy discharging one round in the direction of the man resulting in injuries.
16:33He was conveyed to seek medical attention but subsequently succumbed to his injuries whilst being attended to.
16:41Yeah, and so it's police-involved killing there.
16:45And I want to say this, that Victoria Village, the line road there, which is people in San Fernando would
16:53call the San Madeline Line, train line.
16:56I was there after the program on Tuesday.
17:00I didn't put up anything today because I don't want to alert anybody to the work we're doing there.
17:05But that area connects to Friendship Village, and Friendship Village is where Maria Sinat, the 14-year-old girl, the
17:13young footballer, where she was killed in the bushes there.
17:17And then I am dealing, we're dealing with a reporter, they delivered it in a missing person segment, where a
17:24gentleman is missing, and surely we know he's not alive.
17:30And it's an area I know that the police, the San Madeline police, pays careful attention to.
17:39Now these are squatters, and with the squatting community comes the rabble-rousing, and there is always reason for dispute,
17:49and sometimes these disputes escalate maybe into cutlass and guns.
17:55So that's the type of community that incident occurred in.
17:59That's very sad.
18:00Right now let's take a look at what's making today's SOE update as of April 27, 2026.
18:06Number of operations, 4,399.
18:10Number of target priority offenders, 1,468.
18:15Searches conducted, 2,479.
18:19Traffic operations, 2,508.
18:22Total persons arrested, 1,924.
18:27Total persons charged, 438.
18:33Firearms recovered, we're seeing an increase in pistols, revolvers, giving us a total of 132.
18:39Ammunition recovered, we're seeing an increase with the rounds of 9mm, the rounds of 12 gauge, also the rounds of
18:465.56, and rounds of 0.38, and the rounds of 0.40, giving us a total of 2,988.
18:57Dangerous drug sees, we're seeing an increase again with the cannabis and cocaine.
19:01Yeah, and watching the firearms recovered, when I was there last Monday, it was 100, so you have 52 additional
19:07firearms recovered.
19:08But I suppose that's probably with the municipal corporation, guns that went missing.
19:15I'm always disturbed with the 27 shotguns, because shotguns are used by hunters.
19:21And, yeah, that's the typical gun they use to hunt.
19:24So if you have illegal shotguns, you know, it has to work in tandem with your firearms policy, because they
19:32wouldn't buy shotguns illegally if they could get it legally.
19:36All right. Right now, let's take a look at what's making today's headlines.
19:42Let's take a look at what's making today's headlines.
20:09Those are your stories making today's headlines.
20:12Remember, we will take your calls, 623-1711, extension 1996 and 1997.

22:19Life is precious.
22:21Plus, I can't afford to pay another speeding ticket.
22:27A message from the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service.
22:42Welcome back.
22:43And of course, my co-host here with me, we have Captain Rambarat.
22:45We get ready to go into the missing persons report.
22:47Yes, I'm Whitney, and for April thus far, we've had 22 reports of missing persons, and we still have 10
22:55outstanding.
22:58The 10 outstanding for April thus far would be a neighbor Martinez and his sister, Enelis Martinez.
23:09Now, despite my efforts to find out whether, in fact, they have returned to Venezuela, have not been able to
23:20verify those reports.
23:24So, until such time, we will still have to keep them as missing.
23:29And then we still have Derek Joseph.
23:31Now, Derek Joseph's sister has said to me that he wanders away, goes, you know, for a little day out
23:38and comes back.
23:39But look at it, the length of time he has been missing, and so there's no deep concern for him.
23:46I did check with...
23:48Well, it's a whole month now.
23:49Yeah, I did check with the prisons, with the hospitals, and we've not been able to pick up anything as
23:57yet.
23:58I don't know if we have to go into Blue Basin, but I will determine that maybe by tomorrow.
24:04We still have Omadine Ramcharan, and this is the area I was talking to you about, Whitney, with respect to
24:12a lot of activity down there in recent times.
24:15And so we're doing some work quietly with respect to Omadad Ramcharan.
24:21I have to keep that information private at this time, but we are working on this case very, very hard.
24:29And then we have, I dealt with Ezekiel John.
24:33We have to keep him missing until his remains are officially identified.
24:38But as I said, we feel strongly that those remains found last Sunday in the Yeruka district is that of
24:46Ezekiel John.
24:48And we also have missing Makita Giff.
24:53We know Makita since probably 16, so she's a repeated runaway, no longer a teenager, of course.
25:03So we're keeping in touch with her family to try to get her home.
25:07She's now an adult.
25:09Yes, I was not going to ask you that.
25:10Is it that she lives with them?
25:11Yes, she lives with them.
25:13She has been away from home for a few days?
25:16Yeah, well, yes.
25:17More than a few days now.
25:18Right, so her mother is very worried and her mother looks after her.
25:22And, of course, you know, there is concern about where she is.
25:26But until we can get, you know, solid information, we'll try to locate her.
25:31She can answer the phone if they try calling.
25:34And then we have Stephen Joseph from Pinto Road, Arima.
25:39Just before I came on, I was in contact with her sister.
25:43There is concern.
25:46So we're working with the Arima police to try to see what may have happened to Stephen Joseph.
25:52We know that he left home.
25:53Yes.
25:54But the thing is...
25:55So a lot of days are becoming also a problem.
25:57Yes, yes, the sisters, his two sisters, they're very, very concerned about the fact that he has not returned home.
26:06And so we may be in the Pinto area this week as well.
26:12And, of course, I dealt with both Kenneth Gill and Bernard Mahabir.
26:17I suspect the relatives will be calling to the Forensic Center to officially identify the bodies.
26:25If they're badly burned, they will have to go for DNA testing.
26:30And then on my way up, we received another report, Ria Singh.
26:35And we will be down in the Tarodale area.
26:38Now, Tarodale is San Fernando, so we have to adjust the poster there to indicate the district.
26:44And we will be going down there after the program to Tarodale, San Fernando.
26:49So these are the lists of missing persons we've had.
26:52Still outstanding for April.
26:54Now, this is, of course, anyone with any information.
26:58Yeah, sure.
26:59Call us.
27:00Call your nearest police station.
27:02Call 800-TIPS-999-555.
27:05Your information is what assists us in locating persons.
27:10Normally, we don't go searching for a needle in a haystack.
27:13Right?
27:14So, you know, information.
27:15And, of course, your information is always confidential with us.
27:21All right.
27:21So let us know a little bit what happened at Penal Presbyterian School.
27:24Oh, yeah.
27:25So sometimes I don't know where we get the time.
27:27You find it.
27:28But we have a lot of requests from organizations and schools.
27:33But I always make the point.
27:36If it is that you are assisting in changing the trajectory of a society, you can't talk it.
27:47You have to do it.
27:48And so when we get these calls to visit schools, we like to talk to the young people there.
27:53And so we had a fun open day with them last week.
27:57And this is Penal Presbyterian School.
27:59Whitney, whatever we do, we create us to anywhere we go.
28:04So I'll take one of the students and put them on the stretcher.
28:07I don't know if somebody is here.
28:08Yes, somebody is there.
28:09Right?
28:10And then I would train the eight around them to lift that person vertically, properly.
28:16And they would get a chance to take a walk around.
28:19And I will, you know, let them know this is what we do when we need to.
28:22Look at them.
28:23Beautiful young children.
28:25Learning, following instructions.
28:27Right?
28:28So it's a career day, right?
28:29I'm seeing that.
28:31Yes.
28:31We're seeing doctors.
28:33We're seeing light attendants.
28:34We're seeing light attendants.
28:34Make sure that they are.
28:35Watch.
28:35He has his leg, right?
28:37He had his wrong hand on the handle.
28:39And then I would simply, you know, tell them, show them how to count to three and lift together.
28:46Because if you don't lift together, right?
28:48The patient will fall.
28:49The patient will fall.
28:49The patient will fall.
28:50The patient will fall, right?
28:50And very quickly we do this as an introductory before we get into the heaviest stuff of showing them what
28:58it is to be safe in the environment.
29:00But I'll tell you this, I'm with me.
29:03Any career day we go, it's just a whole set of excitement around us, right?
29:09And no matter how long it is, look, look, there's Hulk showing them what you call a life show, right?
29:16So you could drink any type of duty water with that life show.
29:19Just to survive, right?
29:21So that, what he has in his hand.
29:23Yeah.
29:24It's a filter.
29:25We'll filter it, right?
29:27So it's a huge straw.
29:28You just pull and...
29:29Yeah, you just...
29:30Okay.
29:30You should have those things along with the rope.
29:32Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, along with the rope.
29:34But we have...
29:35Our backpacks are filled with...
29:36With a lot of things.
29:37Equipment.
29:38So Whitney, that's what we...
29:40That's one of the things we do.
29:42And there was also our beach cleanup with the Eastern Regional Health Authority.
29:48I don't know if we have to go to our break.
29:51Yes, we do.
29:52All right.
29:52So when we come back, we will chat a little bit more.
29:55Let's take that break.
29:55We'll be back.
30:12It's like a heartbeat.
30:17It moves to the body.
30:19Transports your entire being.
30:21That's the magic.
30:25I have all these songs in my head.
30:30There's no one like you.
30:33And there never will be.
30:34I love you.
30:37Did you enjoy the show?
30:38I did.
30:39I enjoyed it.
30:40It's a tremendous thing.
30:40The whole show was very good.
30:42Everything.
30:43Everything?
30:43Everything.
30:43I paid my way to come from to the table for this show.

32:31A message from the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service.
32:44Welcome, Mark.
32:45And, of course, if you're now joining us, we have our co-host here with us, Captain Rambarat.
32:50Now, we are going straight into the weekend where there were some serious carnages that took place.
32:54And we saw four lives being taken away on the nation's roots, two in Trinidad and one in Tobago.
33:00Now, there is this incident a day after a high-speed crash in Klaxon Bay claimed the lives of two
33:09men and left the third critically injured.
33:12Another fatal accident in Tobago has left two more men dead.
33:17The Tobago crash occurred on Sunday morning along the Claude Noel Highway.
33:22Police said a blue Mitsubishi Lancer overturned off the highway near a bend and flipped several times.
33:29The two occupants were trapped inside the vehicle and had to be cut out by emergency responders.
33:36Both men identified as co-workers, Shaka Rivers and Keon Niblet were pronounced dead at the scene.
33:44The latest tragedy comes just hours after a fatal crash in Klaxon Bay on Saturday.
33:50And friends of Figaro, 38, and Ty James, 27, both of Marabella, were killed in a crash along the southern
34:00main road in Pointe-A-Pair near St. Margaret shortly before daybreak.
34:05Captain, again, condolences to the families of the deceased and in the Tobago crash, let me just say that.
34:14If you take in a corner and you make a flip at slow speed, you wouldn't get that result.
34:20And the one variable that appears to be inside the mixer, in the ingredients, is speed.
34:29And sometimes we have to say it bluntly.
34:33Speeding, you have to be careful and not obey the speed limit.
34:38The one in Claxton Bay, and you know the thing about the one, both accidents.
34:43Is that there are friends, eh?
34:44Yes.
34:45Friends died in Claxton Bay and friends died in the vehicle.
34:49Into being all correct, yeah.
34:50You know, so we're asking the young men to be careful on the roads and, you know, just try and
34:58adjust the speed limits.
35:00The one in Claxton Bay as well.
35:01That was certainly speeding.
35:03I know the area.
35:04I know the actual area where the accident occurred.
35:07And just, you know, look on, see what was the result of speeding and just adjust your driving behavior to
35:17suit, you know,
35:18to keep yourself alive and to feel to be, to enjoy the company of your friends.
35:23Yes, most definitely.
35:24Now, Captain, you spoke of young people and, of course, being involved and making sure that you're there to guide
35:30and we protect them.
35:32And then when we go on such a positive note, we see negative things like this that took place with
35:38a school fight.
35:38We don't know where, which part on the highway, exactly which area.
35:41But look at the madness on a highway, moving vehicles at 100 kilometers per hour.
35:50And this is what we have to go through to see.
35:53This is embarrassing, Captain.
35:55Well, I'm a little disturbing.
35:56But, you know, I'm seeing some persons entering the free day.
36:00I hope it was, you know, part if I can't get them on the way, which is what others should
36:05do.
36:05But they're looking so clumsy with their backpacks on.
36:08And I can't understand how it ended up on the highway.
36:10But it's just to show you wild news.
36:13But they don't care.
36:13And look at this.
36:16It seems to be a female on the ground.
36:18Yeah, two females.
36:19Two females, right.
36:20And, you know, I think the policing results in terms of the school policing initiative showed that there's a reduction
36:32in the school fights and school violence within the schools.
36:36But there continues to see an increase outside the compound.
36:40Because they're waiting.
36:41And they're at us, clearly.
36:42This is absolute foolishness.
36:44And that type of behavior.
36:46You don't know what if they...
36:48And I'm glad it's recorded.
36:49Because it's for them to look at it and say, look at what I did.
36:54And say to themselves, I cannot do this again.
36:58Being in the teaching field and experiencing children, in this case, would you say they should be expelled?
37:03No, no, no, no.
37:04I'm one who don't believe in expulsion at all.
37:07I believe in sanctions.
37:10I believe in sanctions.
37:11And I believe that if the penalty...
37:15Measure the offense and ascribe a penalty to it.
37:19So we had suspensions.
37:21And then the one thing that happened after I left the service was the fact that these young people could
37:29be charged.
37:30That was missing in the whole slew of penalties.
37:33And once it involves knives, arms, ammunition, drugs, you face the court.
37:42Right?
37:43However, I do not believe a child.
37:45You see, the thing is, with children, and once you're under 18, you have so much hope.
37:50You have so much potential.
37:53If it is, you have to move from one institution to another one, move them.
37:58Because we cannot give up hope in anyone at all.
38:02Because we have to point you in a direction.
38:06Because if we leave you unattended, you'll become a minister society later on.
38:10And we definitely don't or not.
38:12Right now, let's take a look at an initiative that took place.
38:15A clean-up with partnership with the Eastern Regional Health Authority.
38:21Yeah, so, Whitney, we are 40 members, right?
38:26And these members, the Eastern Regional Health Authority, they faced an issue with the removal of the garbage from the
38:36beach cleanup last Sunday in Miaro.
38:39And they contacted me.
38:41Now, the team is so versatile that while we're up in Aruka searching, there are other members doing things.
38:47So, our members handled the task well and were able to provide the transport and the manpower for the removal
38:55of the garbage.
38:57Whitney, we're having ours on the 9th of Miaro, right?
39:00In partnership with a supermarket in Miaro, as well as another hunting group.
39:05And you know what we do?
39:07It's all about a teaching and learning experience, right?
39:10But this is terrible, Captain, to see that, I mean, this is garbage that was on the beach.
39:14On the beach, but I'll tell you this, eh?
39:17It's not, you have to go to Miaro, it's not all local garbage, eh?
39:21So, because you have the Orinoco flowing from the south of Trinidad,
39:25and it pours out there and turns and heads up the East Coast,
39:32if you really look at the garbage, a lot of it is from the Orinoco River.
39:37So, it could be from communities along the Orinoco River.
39:41You see the types of butters and you know it's foreign.
39:45So, it's a lot of foreign stuff mixed with our local stuff that really pollutes the Miaro area.
39:51Okay.
39:52Right?
39:52And you'll find it also in the Moruga area as well.
39:55But the thing is, you know, two reasons to clean the beach.
40:00One is to make sure that the beach, the garbage is removed and so that if you have tertius coming
40:09up the nest,
40:10the beach must be in third order.
40:13And the second thing is, it's a good behaviour to practice.
40:18Right?
40:18A good behaviour to practice.
40:20So, I was up in the Orinoco area.
40:25You have people tend into crops and they will leave their water bottles.
40:29I wish I could take my team and go up there and clean it up.
40:32I am sure we could get anything like a hundred bags of garbage.
40:37We have to learn to keep our communities clean and our workspace clean.
40:42I totally agree.
40:43Ladies and gentlemen, we take that short break.
40:45We'll be back.

43:47I'm Charles Jason Gordon, the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Port of Spain.
43:52I am on board in the TTPS fight against crime.
43:56We are all on board.
44:11Welcome, Mark.
44:12Remember, you can give us a call at 623-1711, extension 1996 and 1997.
44:17Now, Captain, I don't know about you, but I love myself a good sale.
44:22If I get a good sale, a legitimate one, I am there, but not like this.
44:27Now, this took place in the Chaguanas area, where there was a business place that had this massive sale.
44:33I can't tell you what is inside of there, but it seems like it's gold, and persons were out in
44:40their numbers,
44:41and they had to basically close the business.
44:44Yeah, the police had to step in because it became a hazard.
44:47The door got broken, and it was madness on the streets.
44:51But it was a shoe sale.
44:53I saw it last night where the owner said, you know, the police, they shut it down.
44:58But I tell you, it reminded me of these Boxing DCs, and not only Boxing, the other ones.
45:05The Black Friday.
45:05I was going to say Black Friday came early.
45:08Yeah.
45:08So, really, it's something matters.
45:11They broke, they broke, they do it in their effort to get in.
45:13And you can see the security, they're trying their best, you know, to keep the customers at bay.
45:21But, unfortunate, but so he has to now understand that he just cannot have a seal like that.
45:29He has to put systems in place to have a seal.
45:32I'm sure the police probably didn't know about it.
45:35Well, I mean, I didn't think he was maybe expecting the multitude of persons to flood at once at the
45:41same time.
45:42And, Whitney, just before we go in, when I looked at that, I remembered something.
45:47There's a hazardous seal out now, and I wish to remind viewers,
45:52please don't put God out there, your thoughts, and take the family to the beaches from today to Wednesday.
45:58Make that clear, from today to Wednesday, no beach.
46:01Beating on our bathing.
46:02We ask you, we are 249 to have a call on the line.
46:05Caller, good evening.
46:07Yes, good day.
46:08Hi.
46:08Hi, good day.
46:09Yes, I want to make a suggestion.
46:13I know you made a reference to the sanctions that Gatton, right, with the cold children.
46:20Yes.
46:21You see, we need to apply cognitive behavioral therapy.
46:28If they are violent, you must put them into a program that do good aggression replacement training.
46:35And this is based on the assumption that aggression on violence and violence use have kill derivatives.
46:43Right?
46:44and that this is related to the who felt humiliated, but it requires ten social skills, five cognitive
46:53and five effective. Make a complaint, understanding the feelings of others, getting ready for
47:01difficult conversations, dealing with someone else's anger, keeping up the fight, helping
47:07others, dealing with associated physicians, dealing with group pressure, expressing affection,
47:15and responding to failure. All of that speaks about under control training, but that requires
47:22probation and school and social worker, understanding cognitive areas, therapy, right? These are
47:30things that help these young children. I agree that, Captain, the first thing is not charging,
47:37not spending, but putting up in a program. I know the death part of probation and rehabilitation
47:43bill, that's the job of probation officers. I do not know Captain Peter about this.
47:49Yeah, Kola, I can see that you very well, you are knowledgeable in the field and that is
47:55how we feel as educators, right? You touch on the issue of anger management and with these
48:01young children, most of the times it goes back to anger management. And we've seen during
48:09my lifetime as a career educator, I've seen it work and we continue to have hope, but you
48:17know, you know, there's an entire school support system for students whose student support services
48:23is very well staffed in all districts and they lend that support to the students. In addition
48:32to that, you have guidance officers both in the secondary and primary schools there. So, you know, there's
48:40an entire support system and that support system was created because we, as educators, believe
48:47that there is hope and potential in every single child. Yes. Now, I mean, I appreciate the job
48:53that you do, Captain, every single day. I will show others as well. But one in particular
48:58that I don't know how you all could stomach are snakes. Oh, yeah. Well, the thing is, it comes from,
49:06look at this. This is a large red-tailed boar constrictor. We see Vinod Ramnath is one of our
49:13teammates and is very skillful in handling snakes, right? So, you know what happened? We got three
49:19calls from the Kildia trees area in Rio Clara in one week. I don't know if it's the bushfires or
49:25what bringing them out. But that ability to handle snake, we asked persons who are viewing, you have
49:31to be skilled, right? I do it a lot. But I was trained to do it and handle it with
49:37my
49:37hands. All snakes, whether poisonous, venomous or non-venomous. And we understand the importance
49:45of these snakes to the environment. And because we have a loving organization, we do not support
49:52the destruction of these animals. So we volunteer to capture them. To the parts of the food chain.
49:59The food chain, we volunteer to capture them. And that's not only all. We have to now travel
50:04to a natural environment, a habitat, and release them. So we get a number of calls all through
50:12the week. And our members are sometimes, you know, we overwhelm, but we do it because we
50:19enjoy what we do.
50:20I can't even match Arouche. We have a caller on the line. Caller, good evening.
50:25Yes, good evening. Can I speak now?
50:27Yes, you can go ahead.
50:29Yes, okay. I would like to know, I know there's a general recovery of weapons,
50:36fine and wide, right? And that is fine and wonderful. But in connection with the, um,
50:41with the gun height and the weapons in South, where you know the incident, what percentage
50:48of that ammunition and the weapons and ammunition was recovered? I just want to know how many
50:55is outstanding still, if we have an update. Thank you.
50:59All right. Um, of course, you'll have to save that for when Russell comes tomorrow.
51:03Yeah, but Caller, what I do know is that an inventory is currently being done and probably
51:10spearheaded by the new, um, ECP in charge of municipal, um, corporation, because they
51:16were in doubt as to the amount that went missing.
51:20Yes. But even the commissioner said they needed an audit first to know exactly what
51:24was current.
51:24What went missing and then probably they could do the percentages.
51:28Yes.
51:28Um, so ASP Russell will handle that question tomorrow.
51:32Now, Captain, you inspire so many, especially the young ones. I understand a young man on
51:38career day, he made it very clear what he wanted to do.
51:40Yes. And, um, this is Jordan. Um, this is Jordan Vialva from Penal Presbyterian,
51:47Seish Presbyterian School in Penal. We shocked us. When I grow up, I want to be a member of the
51:55hunters search and rescue team. And he came all dressed up in his real tree hunting jersey and
52:01real tree, um, caps, does not camouflage by the way. No, we know. Yeah, yeah, you can see that.
52:06And headlight. And I spoke to his mother and, um, she gave us permission, you know, to show
52:12him and, you know, and publish his name and whatnot. But, um, he, he, he, he, we were bowled over.
52:19Because I wrote on the post, you know what I wrote on the post? No one knows where influence stops.
52:26So the way you speak, the way you carry about yourself, the way you work, you don't know who
52:32is looking on and who would be inspired by that. Yes.
52:35So you have, and when we talk about behaviors, this is what I mean. If you are a role model,
52:40you have to be a role model. Yeah. Because there are always eyes upon you looking. And
52:45little, um, Jordan was influenced. Yes. And speaking of influence, this is what he
52:51had to say. Yeah. I want to be a member of the hunters search and rescue team. Why? Because,
52:59uh, so that I can help people that lost on the forest, uh, and people can thank me a lot.
53:07Beautiful soul. Yeah. And so it means that together with his mother, they follow the news,
53:12they follow the work of the team. And, um, you know, it's good motivation for the children.
53:18And what I like about it is that I will always say on this program, I want children to be
53:23outdoors.
53:24Yes. I want them. I don't want them all the time.
53:28Yes. I agree. But I want a mixture to be outdoors. A balance.
53:32Because that's where I spend a lot of my spare time. And it's enjoyable. I learned to swim. I learned
53:38to hike. I learned to,
53:40to be brave, to be confident, to be fit. Everything. And that, that, that is what the outdoors taught me.
53:48Now, Captain, we give you the opportunity to speak to the public right now. And, you know, let them know
53:54your thoughts and information. Because as I said, from today to Wednesday, try to avoid the beaches.
53:59Right. So, and I, I always say, you have to develop a culture of safety and awareness. Teach. At home,
54:06pay attention to what's on social media.
54:09The Met Office will issue the bulletins. Right. So, we're in a period of our off-seas bulletin. What it
54:16means is not only for families who go to bay. This is for marine craft operators, fisher folk.
54:22Yes. By the way, we haven't found those two guys who went missing. Yes.
54:25Right. And, um, so we do not want to have incidents of drowning during Monday to Wednesdays. Just stay away
54:33from the beaches and you wouldn't, or your family wouldn't become a statistics, a statistic for drowning in Trinidad and
54:42Tobago.
54:42Right. And so, the culture of safety is important. If we spend a few moments to think about what you
54:50need when you get out there, what may happen. You know, we were up there in, in, in, in Arruka
54:58in the foothills. So, one, one member of the family went with us.
55:02Yes.
55:02Way up on top, he was catching these cramps. Right. And I said to him, I have the remedy for
55:09you. And we have a kit with medical supplies. You know, Flama, right?
55:13Yes. So, Flama is a, is a medication for both, um, it's a painkiller and it's a muscle relaxant. Right.
55:21So, as we practice safety, we look at the medication and what will be beneficial in case one of our
55:27teammates suffer from cramps while searching.
55:30And I was able to hand him it, give it to him, give him some water. And he said, after
55:35five minutes, he said, Captain, I can go man.
55:37Ready to move.
55:38And at the end of it, he said, I felt no cramps, no pain.
55:41Captain, quickly though, um, the Monday to Wednesday, you mentioned the beaches. What about the rivers? Um,
55:46The rivers, okay. But what, what, as, as the rainy season is upon us, you have to be careful.
55:52Yes.
55:52And the problem with bathing in rivers really is the two things. One is the rising water that will rain
55:59first for somewhere.
56:00So, it comes down rapidly on you.
56:03And the second, um, the second thing about the rivers, it gives you a false sense of, of, of depth.
56:10So, you may be looking on in these clear waters and the Northern region, like Cora in Valencia River, um,
56:17even tree pools.
56:18Anyway, and then, then you may be looking and you're seeing the bottom, but there's a false sense of, of,
56:27of depth.
56:28Because when you actually get down there, you will realize, well, oh boy, I'm, it's, it's much deeper than I
56:34thought.
56:34And that, that, that results in, um, that causes a lot of drumming as well.
56:39So, you have to be careful in every aspect of your life. If you're driving your vehicle, know your speed
56:45limit.
56:45And, um, you know, I, I have to be sympathetic to the police, eh? The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service.
56:53They are always at the back end of all these things that go wrong.
56:58Yeah. But Captain, thank you so much, as usual, for being here with us to share information and bring closure
57:04to the families of Trinidad and Tobago.
57:06We get ready for news coming up next TNT at seven o'clock tomorrow.
57:09We will have ASP Russell joining us.
57:11Be safe, God bless, and continue making yourself a hard target. We're out.
