02:47Well, we have had some sad news.
02:51But first of all, let me say good evening, Trinidad and Tobago, on behalf of the Commission of Police, Deputy
02:58Commissioners, Assistant Commissioners, and First and Second Division Officers of the Common Marlin S-Team, Trinidad and Tobago Police Service,
03:06our viewers in Grenada and our international viewers.
03:08Because Marlin, we had some sad news with respect to the passing of one of our officers.
03:13Yes.
03:14I mean, a condolences to the family of Constable Douglas.
03:18Yes.
03:19I worked with him personally.
03:21Very, very, very, very good worker, always ready.
03:25He always used to say, you know, sir, I'm not too interested in promotion, but I want to stay and
03:32guide the younger police in the charge room.
03:35He had a wealth of experience in the CID, always ready, always willing, you know, and the hours that some
03:42persons would be, he always like, sir, the 11 to 4, I will hold on that.
03:47Going out at 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. and giving you a proper patrol, he is definitely an
03:54answer that the police service and most of the Western Division will miss the condolences again to him, to his
04:01family, and to his colleagues in the Fort Rhodes Police Station.
04:05Do you know what would have contributed to this shooting?
04:08Well, based on the initial information, it is still as a result of a robbery.

07:26Verify the profile, ask for identification, verify our present structure and building of an address that you're going to.
07:34Don't just meet persons really nearly.
07:36Even when dating, you know, during all the time, as a matter of fact.
07:41You know, but some persons, and even when you go, you can extend it as far as the Facebook marketplace.

07:47Because some persons still believe that it wouldn't happen to me.

07:50Modern persons are still sending money to the distant family in Africa.

07:55You know, and you're asking yourself, you know, how, how, how are we ending up there?

51:48and it came up in a town meeting, and they had a long petition,
51:53and when we took it to the court and objected to the renewal of the bar license, we were guided
51:59by the committee at the point in time to go and have mediation with the owner of the bar.
52:06And if the committee guides us and instructs us to do that, we have to comply.
52:13This act is putting people's lives at risk.
52:18The police service is in receipt.
52:21They have units that do their own investigations, surveillance, all of these things.
52:28I find this is putting people's lives at risk.
