00:00Hello, very good morning to you. It is going to be a little bit cloudier for some of us
00:04than it has been through some recent days, but the vast majority will have another dry,
00:09bright, often sunny day with high pressure still firmly in control. It's just a weak
00:14front out towards the west. This has brought a bit more cloud. It's already started to
00:18bring some outbreaks of rain across the Republic of Ireland and some of that rain will push
00:22into western parts of Northern Ireland as we go through the day. There's also a bit
00:26more cloud then pushing its way across many parts of England and Wales, but if anything,
00:31this may just turn the sunshine a little bit hazy, a bit milky perhaps. A lot of it's going to
00:35be
00:35quite high level cloud. And then towards the east, actually some places may get stuck under some low
00:41cloud, particularly towards North Sea coastal parts, but perhaps some eastern counties of Scotland as
00:46well. Seeing a fair amount of cloud could be quite thick, could bring a few spots of light rain as
00:51we
00:51go into the afternoon. As I mentioned, though, lots of places having a dry, sunny day. And with that
00:56sunshine, similar to what we've seen recently, all temperatures are going to rise. High teens,
01:01low 20s for many of us. They're feeling pretty warm, especially as the winds for most will be
01:06pretty light. It's just those North Sea coastal parts. If that cloud lingers while blocking the sun,
01:12it could feel quite cool here at times, similar to what we've seen earlier on in the week, really.
01:16With all the sunshine, always worth bearing in mind that UV levels now at this time of year are
01:21getting to the high level for quite a few of us, particularly towards the south. And so if you
01:27are going to be out enjoying the sunshine for any long periods of time, you know, a bit of vitamin
01:32D
01:32is really essential. So the sun is good for you to a point. Make sure you are protecting your skin
01:38and also your eyes if you're out in it for a long period. Into the evening, still the chance of
01:43a
01:43little bit of light rain across eastern parts of Scotland. And then that low cloud towards the
01:47east is going to encroach a bit further westwards. And actually, we have a swathe of cloudier weather
01:52coming up from the southwest as well. And so those two zones are likely to meet as we go overnight.
01:57So for many, it is looking a bit cloudier than recent nights. And across western parts of Scotland,
02:01Northern Ireland, a few outbreaks of rain are possible. Most places, though, having another dry night.
02:06But because of the cloud, I'm not expecting it to be as fresh or as chilly a night as we
02:11have seen
02:12recently. Some prone spots may get close to freezing if you get any clear skies. But yeah,
02:17many places, particularly the towns and cities, holding up several degrees above. So yes, not
02:21quite as fresh a start on Sunday morning compared to how it has been through recent mornings.
02:26Through Sunday itself, a bit cloudier, not totally cloudy. There will be some sunshine at times just
02:32across parts of Scotland. Quite thick cloud outbreaks of rain likely here and a few outbreaks
02:37of rain can't be ruled out elsewhere. Most places, though, stay in dry. Just as I mentioned,
02:42not quite as much in the way of blue skies. But some sunshine and temperatures, well, still a bit
02:47above average for the time of year. Mid to high teens, just about getting to the low 20s, perhaps
02:52towards the south. If you're taking part in the London Marathon, maybe a little bit too warm for
02:56you, perhaps. But otherwise, conditions are looking pretty favourable with a bit of cloud,
03:00with a sunshine, generally light winds and humidity not especially high either.
03:05Then looking ahead as we go into next week, and actually Monday has the potential to bring some
03:11showery rain. Could be quite heavy, could perhaps even be thundery. A system coming down the eastern
03:16side of the UK could bring some heavier rain here. But it's definitely not a guarantee at this stage.
03:21And further west, with higher pressure in charge, it's looking drier here. And then thereafter,
03:26as we go through the rest of next week, tentative signs that it will be largely fine and dry for
03:31a
03:31while. But whether or not that dry weather lasts until the bank holiday, well, that's a little
03:36bit uncertain. I'll see you again soon. Bye bye.
