01:54Naturally.
02:07Welcome to Beyond the Tape.
02:09I'm your host, Mark Bassand.
02:10Welcome to our viewers across Trinidad and Tobago.
02:12To our international viewers and, of course, our brothers and sisters in the Isles of Grenada.
02:17It's certainly a very wet Monday evening, of course.
02:21Rains are falling over the last couple of hours.
02:24We had some rainfall over the weekend.
02:26And today, after lunch, we had some isolated thunderstorms.
02:32This is around the savannah about an hour and a half ago.
02:36Good luck across Port of Spain.
02:39A person spending more than two to three hours in traffic.
02:42A police officer called me just after, or just before five o'clock rather,
02:47and told me that he was actually in traffic for the better part of two and a half hours trying to get to work.
02:53Certainly, this is in the Maraval area here.
02:58Some flash flooding, of course.
03:00A couple of, this is on South Quay in Port of Spain.
03:04Really causing a lot of inconvenience here.
03:06Around that time, schoolers come over as well as persons trying to get out of Port of Spain.
03:12This is in another area of Port of Spain here.
03:15Heavy flooding water reported.
03:17This is in government campus area here.
03:20Water as high as two to three feet in some areas.
03:24Garbage through.
03:25And this is on Wrightson Road.
03:27Certainly, a lot of garbage found, you know, maybe from the nearby drains pushed out onto the main road there.
03:36And that area in Wrightson Road is, you know, this is another area in Port of Spain.
03:40Some of these vehicles submerged by water.
03:43So, a lot of people would have spent the last couple of hours in some traffic in and around Port of Spain here.
03:50This is coming out of Port of Spain here.
03:53You know, good luck.
03:54A lot of people trying to find alternative routes to get out of Port of Spain because of the main, some of the main roads, Wrightson Road, as well as near the South Quay area, obviously flooded and trying to find alternative routes, which led to, of course, you know, that gridlocking traffic in and around the savannah and so on.
04:15So, separate and apart, of course, unfortunately, over the weekend, we had at least three road deaths.
04:22And the number of persons killed on the nation's roadways have now risen to 70, according to the Express.
04:29And, you know, a young man lost his life on Saturday night, Isaiah Tilok Singh.
04:33A cyclist was also killed, Rajesh Ragunanan, as well as our grandfather was run over by a vehicle.
04:42His name is Jimmy Ball in the Kapara area.
04:47So, certainly, you know, that concern about road traffic accidents continues as we implore persons to, you know, exercise that kind of safety on the nation's roadways.
04:58And, of course, today is Monday.
05:00Not forgetting, of course, we want to welcome with us Captain Valance Rambart of the Hunter Search and Rescue Team.
05:07I know you all have been involved in the Search Missing Businessman among clubs, Ali, and others.
05:14Yeah, Mark, it's a pleasure to be here on Beyond the Teef and TV6.
05:19Pleasant good evening to our viewers.
05:22And I just came from south via using the highway, so I could see for a fact that there's bumper-to-bumper gridlock traffic from Brian Lara Stadium Street onto just outside of Port Ospin.
05:40And I guess that is as a result of the heavy floods you all had in Port Ospin.
05:45In San Fernando, I think just the Golconda and Pleasantville area, that those areas were heavily impacted.
05:53Mark, September is the warmest month of the year.
05:58And during this time, you get a lot of daytime heating.
06:02And the clouds build during the day.
06:05And they tend to drift to the west.
06:07And so during this time, you could expect a lot of evening rainfall in West Trinidad.
06:13That is maybe Cedras, San Fernando, Cuba, straight up to West Coast Trinidad, Western Trinidad.
06:22So that is normal for this time of the year.
06:25I'm surprised by the amount of garbage on the streets.
06:29And I saw it as I drove into TV6 building.
06:33Yeah, so Mark, we've been extremely busy.
06:36Imraz Clubs Alley is a central businessman.
06:41For those of you who want to know who is Imraz Alley, he recently sold that club in Central Trinidad, Lazy Lizard.
06:53And he's part owner of Trini River Lime in Mathura.
06:57And he has numerous businesses in Central Trinidad.
07:02And so for the persons in Central, the fact that Imraz Clubs Alley has gone missing is a big thing.
07:11Anywhere you drive through Central, they're asking for clubs.
07:15The thing about this is that it's 11 days since he has gone missing.
07:20We've been in the field for nine of those 11 days.
07:24We've made six consecutive days.
07:26We took one break and then we came back out to search for him.
07:30We've searched rivers.
07:32We've searched the Karone River.
07:36We've been searching with the police, the anti-kinnapping unit, the air support unit, various task force.
07:43And this is an area in Karapo that we searched over the weekend.
07:49And we utilized, you know, our strength as searchers together with the air surveillance and the experience of the anti-kidnapping unit working on leads.
08:03But thus far we've been unsuccessful.
08:06And so we continue to chase every single lead.
08:12This is on the Karone River.
08:14And again, chasing a lead, supplied information, supplied by the police.
08:20And wherever they ask us to go, we would go and check, assist with, you know, pursuing leads.
08:27Mark, I could tell you the anti-kidnapping unit, their cop run it over at the moment.
08:32They moved from the pilot straight into Imran's Alley.
08:36They've been really doing a tremendous amount of work and kudos to them.
08:41They've never given up.
08:42They keep turning out and encouraging us, you know, to let's come together and search.
08:47We've searched with relatives, friends.
08:50And we have not been able to locate Imran's Clubs Alley.
08:54And the thing about it is that information is coming in.
08:59We're checking the leads.
09:00So we want to ask persons to please call the nearest police station to provide information on Imran's Clubs Alley.
09:09Or you can do so to our team, 799-1453.
09:13And we'll certainly pass the information on to the police.
09:17But it's been a difficult, time-consuming, a lot of energy and resources is being burned with respect to the search, both on the police end and our end.
09:32And on my way up, there are other leads coming in.
09:36So, you know, we have to be ready to get out there at any moment.
09:39And I'm sure by tomorrow morning, he will see us out there looking for clubs early.
09:45So no communication has been made, I guess, with any of his family members by anybody claiming to have taken him.
09:51Because I know they said that the last was that he had received, collected a sum of money for the sale of a vehicle.
09:56And it's public knowledge.
09:57He had $250,000 on him.
10:00He had recently sold some vehicles.
10:02And he was interested in purchasing one vehicle.
10:06And so he had that money on him.
10:08And so we could confirm with certainty that no ransom call was made for Imran's Clubs Alley.
10:17All right.
10:18Well, we are hopeful, as you said, with anybody with information, of course, you can call 800-TIPS-999.
10:24Or you can contact the Hunter's Search and Rescue Team at 799-1453 if you have any information to assist the police and the Hunter's Search and Rescue Team in locating Mr. Alley.
10:36And, Mark, during the weekend as well, we've been dealing with a mother who basically has lost two sons over the last two years.
10:47One of the boys, Matthew Hussain, he went missing in August of 2023.
10:57On the 25th of August 2023, a young man now out of school.
11:02He did well in his CXC.
11:05And he has been missing sons and never found.
11:08And listen to the story.
11:11Two, a couple months after, in October, her other son, Mikael Hussain, went missing.
11:18We conducted searches for his body.
11:21And he was found in November of November in and around the Woodford Lodge area.
11:31And so closure was gotten from Mikael Hussain.
11:37And over the weekend, it has been two years, it was her mother's birthday.
11:42This is her in the blue dress there.
11:44Right.
11:44And I don't know if we could listen in a bit.
11:48Her birthday with Ms. Rima Hussain in the Arena Freeport District this morning.
11:56Today is her birthday.
11:58But the reason we returned to Arena this morning is just to remind persons that her son, Matthew Hussain,
12:07went missing right here on the 25th of August 2023, and he was never found.
12:15Later that year, her other son, Mikael Hussain, went missing in October of 2023.
12:25But his body was found in the Shavonis district in November.
12:30So she had closure with respect to Mikael, but no closure with respect to Matthew.
12:36Now, one of the reasons why we are here today is because we've never forgotten about Matthew Hussain.
12:44And we have new information, and we are speaking to the police with respect to the possible location of Matthew Hussain
12:54and what transpired.
12:56And it's the reason we're here today.
12:58One, it's a remembrance search.
13:01It's to celebrate Rima's birthday.
13:04It's been very tough for her and her family having to lose two very young sons.
13:10And really to be with this family in their times of despair when they're trying to achieve closure.
13:22Mark, this is a family that we're paying close attention to.
13:26As I said here, we have new information.
13:28We're working closely with the police.
13:30And you see that area where we're meeting there?
13:32Yeah.
13:32Something tells me that we have to return there soon.
13:36And so we'll keep the public informed about what's going on with the Matthew Hussain case.
13:42But the thing about us is that we never give up.
13:45We continue to keep in contact with missing persons' parents.
13:48And as we get leads and information, we continue to share and support them.
13:54That's what's good about Hunter's search and rescue team.
13:57All right.
13:58Well, we hope so that some kind of closure will be met pretty soon for the Hussain family in regards to Matthew.
14:06All right.
14:07So, you know, we've been talking about road safety.
14:10You know, it made the headlines again today.
14:13The first unfortunate incident, of course, 21-year-old Isaiah Teloxing.
14:18And it crashed into a parked flatbed wrecker along the Solomon Hochoi Highway near the Corinth area,
14:25which is just on the outskirts of San Fernando.
14:29And, you know, he died.
14:32They said that the car lost control based on the report and crashed into this parked wrecker.
14:38Two of the personnel who were operating in that wrecker were heading towards the wrecker.
14:43They were also injured in the accident.
14:46And then they were in hospital in stable condition.
14:51But, you know, it's really sad.
14:52A young man from the Montesquieu Road area in Faisabad has now lost his life.
14:57Yeah, Mark.
14:59And, you know, I have always referred to these young people whenever there are fatalities involving these types of accidents.
15:08And, Mark, I scrutinized the tape.
15:10I know from experience, and I know you would have this experience and viewers as well,
15:15that once a wrecker is in operation on our nation's highway, you're able to spot it from a distance by the mere fact that they are well lit.
15:25And I saw the lighting on the wrecker there.
15:28And I think it has to be that the young man may not have seen these lights.
15:33And I look at the state of the vehicle, and I know he had no idea that that wrecker was there.
15:41So, condolences to the family, the Tilok Singh family from Mondesi.
15:46It's an area I know well.
15:48And condolences to you.
15:51Yes, certainly.
15:51And then there was also an accident near the Indian Trail area, northbound lane of Hoover.
15:58Over the weekend as well, persons were injured, taken to hospital.
16:04Oh, this was the one in San Fernando, rather.
16:07Yes, it was.
16:07Yeah.
16:07You know, persons trapped in the vehicle there as persons arriving on the scene trying to, you know, attend to them.
16:15And, of course, with the fire officers, who obviously would be the ones trying to extricate these persons from the wrecked vehicle.
16:26And then we also had the accident at Indian Trail in the northbound area in Hoover, along the highway as well, I believe, over the weekend, Saturday night.
16:36And, you know, this involves a panel van and a truck.
16:40This one was early this morning.
16:42Early this morning.
16:42At 4.50 a.m. this morning, this accident occurred on the northbound in the Indian Trail Cooper area.
16:51Yeah.
16:52Speed.
16:52Speed and more speed.
16:53And then there was an unfortunate incident in which a motorcyclist lost his life on Saturday.
16:59Rakish Ragunanan.
17:01There.
17:02You know, it's another accident there.
17:06Mr. Ragunanan, obviously, struck by a vehicle, father as well.
17:15And, you know, it's really sad that, you know, you know, persons need to exercise more caution on the nation's roadways.
17:21We talk about speed.
17:23We talk about, you know, conditions and so on.
17:26And we also had the unfortunate death of Mr. Jimmy Ball.
17:32He was ran over by a vehicle.
17:34He was holding his grandson, apparently, but his grandson was injured but is alive.
17:38Unfortunately, Mr. Ball died.
17:41This happened in the Kapara area also over the weekend.
17:46And my information is that Mr. Ball was on his own private access road.
17:52So the vehicle would have come on to the access road.
17:54And really unfortunate accident.
17:57And again, condolences to all the families.
18:00Yeah, and then we had two murders over the weekend, one in the Karapachima area.
18:06And then there was one in the Bacolet area in Tobago.
18:09They found somebody with a gunshot wound to the head.
18:12This is the one in Karapachima, described known as Fox, was stabbed multiple times by an asylum
18:20and left on the roadway there.
18:23And, of course, persons without having arrived, ambulance arriving on the scene.
18:26So two more homicides, you know, and the one in Tobago, they found a Chinese national
18:32with a gunshot wound to the head in the Bacolet area.
18:35They're still investigating that.
18:37And then we also had a gun-related incident in the Separia area.
18:43Also in the Separia area there, a couple had been shot early Saturday morning.
18:49And, of course, one woman was taken to hospital following that incident.
18:55Another, I think, treated for minor injuries.
18:58Yeah, Mark, and one murder is too much in our country and condolences to the families.
19:04We've seen a lowing of the murder rate, and that's good.
19:09But, you know, one murder is too much.
19:12And so we noted that there were other incidents in Tobago as well where you had a drowning
19:19and serious injury to another person in Tobago in that Buku Marine area as well.
19:27Well, we'll certainly talk about that later in the show.
19:31But it's day 60 of the state of emergency.
19:34We want to bring you up to speed with some of the figures.
19:38Number of operations, 4,193.

24:47welcome back to be on the tape i'm your host mark missan joined today by captain valence rambath of
24:52the hunter search and rescue team as he walks us through missing persons for the month of september
24:57thus far we have mark and um with respect to september thus far we've had 11 reports of missing persons
25:06and thankfully we only have four outstanding um we had we we have been experiencing a drop this
25:15september and that is normal in keeping with previous years and i think it has to do with the whole
25:21question of getting back to school right but you know pretty shortly it will begin to increase as
25:27september goes along and we still have outstanding well of course we spoke a lot earlier about um imraz
25:35clubs alley he has been missing now for 11 days a resident and businessman of central trinidad and we
25:43asking you to contact your nearest police station as will continues assiduously to try to locate him
25:52can contact our team at 799-1453 if you have information to pass on to the police and next we have um selena
26:02uh sinanan karina sinanan sorry she's familiar to us um i repeat runaway young female and we asking
26:13karina to please get in contact with us 799-1453 we up to today we have a fair idea where she is
26:24and um our team from northeastern trinidad will be falling up on this case and hopefully we could
26:32get karina to return home and then we have um janemarie regis as a young teenage female runaway again
26:43she's familiar to us this is the second time we're dealing with janemarie and we're asking her to
26:50please contact us and or please return home your mother is distraught and she wants you back home
26:57at 15 you're too young to be out there and you need to get back and get home and get back to school
27:03janemarie we dealt with you already please call us at seven nine nine one four five three and then mark we
27:12have this um xi jian one and um he is a businessman um he owns several businesses both in port of spain
27:23and elsewhere in the east west corridors a chain of restaurants and other businesses and um when his
27:31relatives visited his home at one woodbrook place in woodbrook um they found that his apartment looked
27:40okay like it was okay like it wasn't ram sacked and his speaker was found in the car park um unlocked
27:49and so we we are in contact with one of his best friends and the police on this matter and however
27:58thus far we've had no leads on where he might be so we're asking the public that if you have information
28:06please call your nearest police station call the woodbrook police station or pass on the information
28:12to hunter search and rescue team seven nine nine one four five three and we will certainly pass it on to
28:19the police so that we can locate this gentleman yeah right it's certainly a little troubling you know
28:26because i reading a newspaper report today as you said uh you know his friend went to check on him
28:32the vehicle is parked downstairs in the car park of one woodbrook place yeah spoke to him the previous
28:37day which was uh he spoke he last saw him and he stepped him on ninth correct and then they had a
28:42normal conversation yes he had a normal conversation uh when he went he didn't answer his phone the
28:48following he went to check on him didn't seem and he didn't he didn't think things seemed normal until
28:53he went downstairs and saw his vehicle there yeah and found it strange that it was unlocked unlocked as
28:59well yeah so i think the authorities um they're looking at it closely and we're not sure um what it
29:06is at this point in time but any information mark just call 800 tips 500 555-999-799-1453 and let's get the
29:18information and to try and locate him yes and of course uh you remember a couple weeks back we had
29:25spoken about uh a relative making an impassioned plea for for for the police to identify his sister uh
29:33amazon miller miller yes and uh of course uh within two days of that the police identified uh by via dna
29:42because they were waiting for almost two years to authenticate the dna testing and it turned out it
29:48was miss miller uh was apparently found on a beach in chatham in chatham and after that of course uh with
29:57that validation the family was hoping to have a body handed over they've made several pleas on this
30:04program as well as through the media and uh captain valance you can tell us what has transpired since then
30:12well the thing about this family is that they really really need closure they they you know mark
30:18when they got the confirmation that it was her body that was found in chatham via dna testing
30:25the family went ahead and planned a proper funeral for her think thinking that the body would just have
30:33to be released to the funeral home and so they went and they made their preparations and they they kept
30:40you know wondering why this body wasn't being released to them and they found out at the forensic
30:46center that there was a search on for avazons miller's body and today's one month today's one month and
30:56the sister contacted me this morning and said mr rambert has been one month they've been searching for
31:02avazons miller's body and um as well mark the the officer of the ombudsman contacted me today they wanted
31:11to get her sister's number so i guess they are looking into it and um i really hope that you know they
31:18can locate this body and pass it on to to the family in point 14 because they really destroy it they've been
31:26suffering for two plus years and for a family to keep you know that that's agonizing that's painful for
31:36this family and her father i spoke to him about last week and again it's painful to hear the father speak
31:43yeah so certainly we hope for that those in authority who saying this plea by the family i know that if

34:49panis dean gulston and i am panis yohan jokri and crime prevention is everybody's business
34:58hi i am sujina kadir attorney at law and team lead for the attorneys for the ttps community justice
35:04clinic we support the trinidad and tobago police service in the fight against crime crime prevention
35:09is everybody's business i am shiraskan i am a farmer i support the ttps in the fight against crime
35:16my name is bardak maraj president of bishop order's chamber of industrial commerce crime fighting is
35:22everybody's business we are all in war
35:38welcome back to be on the tape i'm your host mark bussan joined today by captain valence rambrath of the
35:43hunter's search and rescue team and we have your favorite segment voice of the people let's go
36:13do you feel safer to a certain point yeah why why would you say that well certain things
36:26will happen but not as fast as people want it to happen right everything take times have you seen a
36:36reduction in crime during the state of emergency i do come out later but yeah yes you think it's time for
36:46a curfew in the state of emergency or no well no that will affect business to be honest so therefore
36:57i feel it's just the government had to do what they're doing move fast that's all i had to say right
37:06what is your opinion on the stand your ground legislation oh for your views
37:15i'm gonna tell you no comment sure yeah yeah no comment on that would you support
37:21no bill for somebody with an illegal firearm for 180 days yes why why it will be effective effective
37:36due to the um well the time
37:44have you ever been a victim of a scam no um and what what advice you have for people that fall victims to be
37:50uh of a scam well be vigilant be aware watch around when you're going in your cars look look on the other side
38:05always look be aware yes that's bottom line
38:15people captain yes um mark and um the gentleman
38:19well he's he's confirming that uh his in his opinion the soe is working and um he's asking for it to
38:28you know for some faster results um with respect to crime but you know um crime is something that
38:35um i think they they could only move so fast because it is an investigative because of the long
38:42process in the judicial system so first of all you have to question then you have to charge then you
38:48have to bring the person before the court and so forth it will take some time but i agree with him
38:53that daddy so is me can an impact and you ask about the curfew as well and he says um it will affect
39:01business i think um this version of the soe they found a model which will work for everybody not impacting
39:10people lives the only thing i think that will be impactful will if you get caught up in a roadblock
39:17and you will be delayed and i think people understand that there's a consequence of good crime
39:22fighting so you know i think this version of the um the the state of emergency is one which we could
39:30use from time to time so every time there's a flare up or we see an increase in the murder rate or gang
39:36activity we could you know implement this did this strategy and um again he was non-committal with
39:44respect to the stand your ground policy but that that that that is subject to consultations and
39:52it's something very interesting that we should all try to edify ourselves about and then with the bill
39:58what he's saying is that you know it will it it it it could it could work but and i support that
40:06with the exception of shotguns all right all right i think we have our first call on the line call
40:11good evening and welcome to be on the table yeah good evening first time quality program
40:17and the purpose of me calling is to seek some information so where we we have we have in this
40:24country look at government elections and those locally government elections nominate chairmans and
40:30councillors who are responsible for sub areas within a constituency and i'm calling primarily from the
40:38current east constituency which falls under the purview of the cover tabakita power regional corporation
40:47and more so the the tabakid memorial the londonville memorial area and my concern my concern this afternoon
40:59is of a grave nature one that has been neglected and disregarded by the representative for my area
41:10and he happens to be the chairman of the cover tabakita power regional corporation
41:15there is in fact there is in fact a gluten drain that has not been deserted clean don't give me any attention
41:23in the left since 2017 i have i have i have i have directed my attention to the ministry the prominent secretary of the ministry of works the director of drainage the ombudsman the chairman himself
41:41and as of tomorrow i will send off my latest correspondent so miss julian john and of course the honorable prime minister
41:49notwithstanding that is it that the grass and that you're talking about uh is it high is it causing uh
41:57is it a haven where where persons can uh you know uh perpetuate criminal activity or anything like that
42:04because i'm just trying to get an idea if it's something that is crime related okay certainly well what
42:10has happened is that this this tree and its general area has been overgrown by shrubs weeds and a host of
42:19other or other grass material that creates an ideal haven for criminal not only criminal activity
42:27but of course infectious maladies and and serious health issues that the residents of the currently
42:35east in the london area have been affected by and several calls and discussions with the member for
42:44the area who is who is who is coincidentally chairman of the cooper trafficking regional corporation has
42:52either been met with he's not there call back or we will get in contact with you so i i am hoping that
42:58this message reaches the end of the honorable prime minister who we have been who we have been rooting for
43:06before post the elections on on on on on the 28th of april that that this this counselor is is being brought to answer why nepotism
43:19favoritism and his inactions to and to alleviate the needs and suffering of the persons who would have voted for
43:28him has not been addressed all right caller we said we're gonna try to see if we could get some answers
43:36for you uh i know it might might not be specific or something criminal related but it could as you said
43:42the area there but we're gonna take a short break and when we get back we'll respond

46:58welcome back to be on the tape i'm your host mark was joined today by captain valence rambert of the
47:02hunter search and rescue team i know just before the break we had a call i don't know if you would like to
47:07basically caller just message seven nine nine one four five three let's be positive about the whole
47:13thing i know chairman ryan rampa said well message me i pass on the information to him bearing um bearing
47:22in mind that i'll just be the messenger and that there are circumstances funding resources and everything
47:29else and priority in any region and so i will try my best to speak to chairman ryan rampa to try to
47:38bring an alleviation to your problem all right i hope that answered your question call that so mr
47:45rambert will try to look into it and get some assistance for the residents of that area that
47:51is affected by these overgrown weeds and grasses and so on all right all right well i'm going to show
47:57your video of course and i want to put it into context we have spoken about persons going out and
48:02meeting persons to purchase items or or to sell an item rather and sometimes you're duped uh remember
48:10there was a time when somebody came and they they bought something and when they opened the envelope
48:14they found paper yeah we're not sure if this video was real or staged but take a look
48:20so this person appears to you know um purchasing up what is a playstation and takes out an envelope and
48:31hands the woman what is supposedly money he walks away and this is what happens she realizes that the envelope
48:42it's only paper in it whether or not this is this is a real video because somebody was sitting in the
48:49vehicle that she probably came in short that it still carries a very important lesson from
48:56many persons um who go out and meet people via the internet facebook marketplace etc to buy something
49:04or to sell something yeah and you know when you spoke to the gentleman on voice of the people and you
49:11ask him how was scamming said to be vigilant watch around yeah but scamming is something different
49:16you want it it it it it it utilizes online technology and marketplace and and and and and fool people
49:24so this is a perfect example a a good teaching learning um video for persons to be aware of what's going on
49:34and it happened in trinidad you remember some guy saying the marijuana wasn't the marijuana and whatnot
49:40right and it happens in trinidad and scamming is is is something that takes place every day protect
49:47your money and make sure it stays in your pocket and buy your playstation at a legitimate outlet what
49:53do you think she should have done before he actually walked away i think transaction i i think before
49:59before um handing over what she was supposed to buy i think she should have collected her money check yes
50:06check the money first first and then hand over because he's opening the box so before he they could
50:12have actually do it at the same time yeah so that while he's checking to see if it's actually a
50:16uh a playstation she can see if there's actual money on the envelope and and and and scramble back
50:22our property yes but we we ask citizens to be very very careful in anything that you purchase yes exactly
50:31all right and we talk about awareness and uh we certainly want to show you a video of a motorist
50:37who parked uh um in the airing gas station and was returning to his vehicle
50:46then all of a sudden two persons runs out of the bush and of course um he's seeing these persons
50:53intent and obviously um you know some kind of criminal activity grabbing what he had in his vehicle
50:59in his hand or whatever and brave enough to return yeah shortly after they ran away but certainly there
51:07was well they didn't actually they they were they were waiting again and oh in green and they returned
51:16luckily he was trying to open the door but he drives off and well who knows how long they've been
51:25waiting they'll probably be waiting for others yes as well so if you have any information about this
51:30incident of course contact the nearest police station and you know these persons perhaps might be making a
51:37this a habit yeah uh when persons come and there's a very few or no persons in the parking lot
51:45coming to the gas station waiting on the opportune time to pounce yeah and arena is not an area with a
51:52high traffic so um and then again we pointed out that the the the closing that the the the perpetrators
52:00uh was well camouflaged so the the driver was very alert to spot them despite the fact that they
52:07they did their work they were camouflaged with the environment so very alert and i thought he was
52:13brave to return and quickly get into the van and and drove off because this police station is right up the
52:19hill huh yeah yeah right yeah they were they were they were lucky and he was lucky actually yeah you
52:25know all right so over the weekend uh there was an unfortunate accident in tobago involving a grenadian
52:35national and a british national who attempted to save him um this is the grenadian national who died after
52:43uh um he fell into fell off the boat the the boat i was transporting i believe about 65 tourists um
52:52and apparently when he fell out of the boat in that mishap um the british um national jumped in behind
53:02him this was at the boca reef marina marine park and marine what i understand happened because uh a friend of
53:08mine his brother was on that boat was at the british national and attempting to go and save the grenadian
53:14national the boat tended to move back quickly and in so doing the propeller apparently sliced off part
53:25of the british national's foot right i i read that and he was taken to hospital while the grenadian
53:34nationals uh body was recovered shortly thereafter um he was pronounced dead and i know that the chief
53:40secretary for ali augustine said that more would be revealed um in due course when they speak with the
53:46relatives of the persons um they're hopeful that um the british national uh will make a full recovery
53:56uh but um it certainly he did not look well when he left the boat and they took him out into the ambulance
54:04uh they had to administer cipria and so on so it might be touch and go yeah and then we know for a
54:10fact that that buku reef area the marine park which he speaks about that's now heavily tourist with with
54:17with different types of activity on boats um something that didn't happen probably 10 years ago we're now
54:24seeing the advent of that type of tourism in the in the marine park so they have to investigate the the boat
54:31owner and sure that he had good safety mechanisms on his boat and um that the the um the operator of the
54:42boat did the correcting when the gentleman was was where an alarm was raised that he was in the water
54:49i also read that um very quickly mark that he was in tobago for reunion with his cousin and he you know
54:56she hadn't seen him in 28 years a 70 year old to a 72 year old gentleman you know probably retired
55:05traveling enjoying his life and um unfortunate that this incident occurred to him having lived almost
55:13a full life yeah it's really sad and of course uh we i imagine that uh in the coming days there will be
55:19more details uh pertinent to this accident uh and um you know it it's just you know you have to be very
55:27careful and there must what i was what it was to tell us that there there perhaps was for 65 persons on
55:33a boat uh they're saying that they didn't seem to have enough uh personnel on the boat to attend to
55:39this gathering to the guys so of course that will also be looked into and they have to investigate it
55:44happens to be so um you know and it's really a sad situation and our deepest sympathies to his family
55:54on his passing and uh we also opening our prayers with the british national who uh basically risked his
56:01life to go out there and try and save him as well i know we don't have a lot of time but i know you have
56:06some quickly um today is the birthday of one of our teammates mr vishnu rambial i wonder wish him a special
56:13uh happy birthday vishnu you are uh really the the the the strength of our team in southeast trinidad
56:22and anything that moves or anything that moves in southeast trinidad he's a go-to person and he does
56:28an excellent job so happy birthday vishnu and very quickly if we have time yeah 12 seconds 12 seconds well
56:35um any problems call seven nine nine one four five three for missing persons give information we had
