00:00:13Hello, welcome to Gangs All Here. My name is Ryan Sampson, that's our Jets beat writer Brian Costell, and that's
00:00:17my guy Frankie Vitorini from U-Stadium.
00:00:19Today is Thursday, October 8th. The New York Jets are coming off a brutal loss to the Chicago Bears, and
00:00:24they have fallen to 1-3 on the season.
00:00:26But we are doing a preview today on the Jets vs. Browns back at MetLife, week 5, where the Jets
00:00:34are trying to find that win and get back in the win column.
00:00:38We've got a lot to talk about today, but before we get to any of that, I'll start off with
00:00:43Kaz. How are you feeling today, buddy?
00:00:47I'm good, Ryan. I feel like Trent Grisham in the leadoff spot here. You're starting with me. Hopefully I don't
00:00:53go over 5.
00:00:55Too soon? Too soon, Yankees?
00:00:57Don't go there. I was there last night. Don't go there, please.
00:01:01He's already going there. He knows I'm a Yankees fan as well, and that hurt last night.
00:01:07Yeah, look, let's hope and pray that Aaron Glenn can improve and make some correct decisions coaching this team compared
00:01:16to what Aaron Boo did last night with the Yankees.
00:01:19Not a good time to be Aaron in New York, huh?
00:01:21No, no, not right now. Frankie, how are you feeling after that one last night?
00:01:27Not good, man. Not good at all. They've got to get rid of instant replaying baseball. It has no purpose
00:01:32in the sport of baseball. That's all I'm going to say.
00:01:35You know what? Can I just say something? I just want to say one thing.
00:01:41What's the AL, what's it called? ABS, right?
00:01:47Yes. Yes.
00:01:48All right. All right. Ready? ABS, right? Let me just ask you guys a question because I'm a casual baseball
00:01:54fan, right?
00:01:54If a pitcher is trying to paint the outside corner of the plate, right, and they're not getting the outside
00:02:01corner, if they throw a pitch that just happens to hit the inside corner, happens to, it's not the right
00:02:08pitch.
00:02:09Just because it's like a centimeter off, that shouldn't be a strike to me. If you're trying to establish a
00:02:15zone, like I don't think every batter should have an exact box or rectangle that dictates a strike zone.
00:02:24I just, I think it's like a flawed logic. Like you're trying to establish a strike zone, right, Ryan? You
00:02:30would know better, Kaz.
00:02:31But I just don't understand.
00:02:33It's not a bad school thought from you, Frankie, about establishing a strike zone for a pitcher, but it's something
00:02:39that they've been trying to implement into the games of baseball.
00:02:42Just like with football, they have now put this electronic marking for the football.
00:02:47Because if you think about it, it was so archaic in that, right, Kaz, we were relying on old, out
00:02:53-of-shape men to be on the sideline and say, yeah, this is where the first down marker is, and
00:02:58this is where the ball went on that huge pile of players.
00:03:02The problem is that humans are still spotting the ball, Ryan. It's like, it's not, it's still, that system is
00:03:08still not perfect.
00:03:08I like ABS. I like the baseball. I thought it's been a nice addition.
00:03:12Yeah, I mean, go, go Google, Frankie, Levon Hernandez, Eric Gregg.
00:03:18It was a game in 1997 in the playoffs where Levon Hernandez, I don't know, he had like crazy number
00:03:24of strikeouts because the guy was calling, Eric Gregg was the umpire, was calling strikes two feet out of the
00:03:29zone.
00:03:29Like they needed this. Like there, it can't be just every umpire decides what the strike zone is.
00:03:33There has to be a strike zone. So Google that later.
00:03:36It's a, it's a fun watch that one.
00:03:38Um, listen, before, before we get into the discussion of Jets versus Browns, I got to say Jets fans, I
00:03:46appreciate you guys always being on here and, and the show we've been off to a great start this season
00:03:50in terms of viewership.
00:03:51And we want to welcome you for an opportunity this Sunday, Frankie and myself are going to be doing a
00:03:56watch party for Jets versus Browns in the city at the ready cantina rooftop bar, uh, Sunday one o'clock.
00:04:03I know it's going to be rainy. The rooftop is going to be closed.
00:04:05It's going to be completely enclosed, but the cantina ready, uh, the ready cantina, sorry, they're ready to have us
00:04:11as fans.
00:04:12And we want you to come out and join us. Uh, the link to tick pick for tickets are going
00:04:16to be in the description for this video below.
00:04:18Uh, and if you can't come out to the, to the bar itself to hang out and do the watch
00:04:22party and post game with Frankie and myself, tune in for a New York post sports YouTube channel.
00:04:26We're going to be live on there as well. Uh, going through the entire Jets Browns game.
00:04:30You get the live reactions from Frankie saying, man, I can't wait to lose this game and get the number
00:04:35one pick for me sweating.
00:04:37The third down situations, uh, and ultimately how this game goes, but it's going to be a fun, fun day,
00:04:42fun event.
00:04:42Uh, we're excited to be doing that. So hope, hope you all show up for that one.
00:04:46Uh, but now I'm going to transition to the actual game itself here, guys.
00:04:49And cause I'll start with the vibe check. You know, this is a team that now, uh, they went one
00:04:56in three, something that you had brought up on Monday show where it's like, Ryan, we kind of predicted them
00:05:01to go one in three, just because of this gauntlet of the NFC North.
00:05:04So now this is really the meat and potatoes of the schedule where Glenn is going to ultimately determine how
00:05:10his, this season's going to go and how this team is going to either show signs of progress, or they're
00:05:16going to be back to being the same old jets.
00:05:18What is the vibe check around the team now, uh, coming off that loss to the bears?
00:05:23Yeah, I thought Wednesday it was fine. You know, I felt like they were, uh, they were in good spirits.
00:05:29You know, they, um, they, they didn't do a practice Wednesday.
00:05:32They just did a walkthrough on Wednesday, cause the 89 plays that the defense was out there. He wanted to
00:05:37kind of give everyone a recovery day.
00:05:39I'm not sure how that applies to the offense. That was only out there for 32 plays, but I think
00:05:44there's a sense of urgency.
00:05:45Like they know that they know the deal. They, they know they lost three straight and they can't, they can't
00:05:50keep going down this road.
00:05:52So it's going to be interesting to see how they respond on Sunday. And I'm very curious to see how
00:05:56it looks early in the game. Um, cause this offense has not been good.
00:06:01They early in the first quarter, they've scored seven points that first drive against Tennessee. And then that's it.
00:06:06Uh, they haven't done much else. So could they come out and establish something early on both sides of the
00:06:11ball and, you know, feel like they're in control of the game.
00:06:14Like they were in Tennessee and really they were against green Bay end of the game. They were in control
00:06:19of that one. So can they do that?
00:06:20Can they be dominant on the line of scrimmage? Can we see some creativity from the coaches on both sides
00:06:25of the ball early and let's see them take control.
00:06:28Yeah. It's a, it's a good point by you cause about taking control of this game. And it's something that
00:06:33just has not been prevalent for a couple of weeks. Now, uh, Frankie, I'd ask cause, you know, about this,
00:06:39this game coming up that if it was a must win and he's like, look, last week, you asked me,
00:06:43it was a must win every game.
00:06:45It can't be just a must win. Um, but one in three is one in three. He's four and 17
00:06:50is first 21 games. This is a stretch now of four games where you would consider them to be somewhat
00:06:56winnable games. They're actually favored in this weekend against the Browns. So for you, Frankie, is this a game where
00:07:02Merrick Glenn, he's got to get this win on Sunday to prove that if he wants to be the long
00:07:07-term solution to head coach, he's got to get a win like this.
00:07:11Yeah. Well, I'll, I'll, I'll make it this simple, right? Teams that go one in four have about a 6
00:07:16% chance to make the playoffs versus one in three or versus two in three. Um, so, uh, he needs
00:07:27this just to give himself an opportunity in this team, an opportunity to make the playoffs. You know, this fan
00:07:31base is dying to, you know, break that playoff streak, right. Or playoff less streak.
00:07:38So I just think in that regard, if they lose to Cleveland, you're probably not making the playoffs. That streak
00:07:46continues. Are you going to win six games, seven games? So, I mean, it's not going to look all that
00:07:51good at the end of the day, regardless of how you slice it. So, um, I do think it's a
00:07:55must when I do, I think it's a must win. I don't even think it's only a must win for
00:07:59Aaron Glenn. I think it's, it's also a must win for some of those guys in there, right?
00:08:02Like you want momentum, you know, going into the next week, you want momentum throughout the rest of the season.
00:08:09You want to get to Columbus day, uh, or, you know, Halloween and, and have something to play for. Like
00:08:17the last thing you want is to go one in four. It's a hole that not many teams get out
00:08:21of. So in that regard, I do think it's a must win this.
00:08:24And, and the, the thing that really ticked me off about the Chicago game cause we didn't really speak about
00:08:30it. Um, you know, you had done the Monday morning show with, with, with ride, but you and I hadn't
00:08:34really touched base on this. But the thing that really bothered me about the Chicago game was I never felt
00:08:41like Aaron Glenn did anything to really put his team in a position to win the football game.
00:08:47It was like, we're going to run the same game plan. We had run the previous, you know, three games
00:08:54and maybe it'll work. Maybe it won't work. Who knows? Like whatever. Like you got to try something like that's
00:09:01a game. You got to go in your bag and like dial something up. That's a game where you get
00:09:06in the room with Frank Reich and say, Hey, you have a trick play. You got something here, like something
00:09:11unique. I just felt like, I don't understand why they went into the game almost with like a
00:09:17very just like vanilla game plan. And they expect it to beat. Uh, yeah. And that was my biggest issue.
00:09:24So if there's anything that I want to see this week, it's, it's definitely not a vanilla game plan. Like
00:09:31I would throw whatever you can against the wall and see what sticks. Listen, I, and I'll say, I don't
00:09:36think Cleveland's as good as their record says they are. I don't think there are three in one team. I
00:09:41know they are on paper, but it's a winnable game. So like find a way to win. If, if you,
00:09:46if you want to not
00:09:47have all falls down, I can't believe by the way, all of the, and you know, like, um, I'm part
00:09:54of like negative jets, Twitter, you know, they call it that negative jets, Twitter. Um, but I can't believe how
00:10:01negative things got like after that loss to the bears. I was shocked. Let's quickly really bet. Yeah. Right. I
00:10:10didn't think it would be that bad. Honestly. Yeah.
00:10:14Yeah. I think it was just, you know, they looked so non-competitive and it looked like, I think the
00:10:20hope this season was that they were past being the homecoming opponent, right? They were, they were past games, games
00:10:26like that. And that popped up. And, um, you know, so I get it. And it was, it just brought
00:10:32back memories of last year or memories of, you know, name your season, 2018, 2020, whatever season you want to
00:10:40pick.
00:10:40Like, and it was bad. And I'm with you on the game plan, Frankie. I thought when I watched it
00:10:46back, it felt like they just, just kind of lined up and played and they're not good enough to do
00:10:52that. Like it was, there was no, like forget, like, you know, I'm not talking about like flea flickers and
00:10:58double reverses.
00:10:59It's not like, they don't even like, they're not using motion. Like they're not moving. They weren't moving Garrett around
00:11:04or Sadiq around. They're like that kind of stuff. Like it's not, you don't have to be crazy.
00:11:09And then on defense, what struck me was their blitzes were just not getting home. Like Chicago had an answer
00:11:16for every blitz that they sent. And then on the flip side, Chicago's blitzes were getting home.
00:11:21So this is a big coaching game to me. Like Aaron Glenn and Frank Reich have to dial it up.
00:11:25I didn't think they made good adjustments last week. So this is, there's a lot of pressure on those two
00:11:30guys this week.
00:11:31Uh, and it's funny. You actually mentioned the motion thing cause cause cause I wanted to dive into those numbers.
00:11:36Cause I saw that, that rhetoric going around on the, on the jets offense and what Frank Reich is calling
00:11:42right now.
00:11:42Uh, guys on dropbacks. And this is according to, this is from true media, uh, on dropbacks where the jets
00:11:49use motion. They are the second, um, they have called the second least amount of plays, uh, past plays with
00:11:57using motion before the snap.
00:11:59So they are right behind the Cincinnati Bengals who have 23 dropbacks with motion. The jets have 28 dropbacks by
00:12:05using motion pre-snap. That's the second least amount used in the NFL.
00:12:09And in terms of EPA, which again is expected points at added per play as in the NFL, in terms
00:12:16of ranks, they are fifth worst in the NFL on dropbacks when they use motion.
00:12:20So they're not even effective when they are trying to use it too. Um, so there's, there's a component there
00:12:26where to back out what both of you were saying,
00:12:28about the vanilla game plan and line up the jets felt like they, in this, again, maybe this is something
00:12:34on Frank Reich. Maybe this is something on Aaron Glenn.
00:12:37They are a bit old school, I would say in terms of, I think how they view the NFL. And
00:12:42I don't, I don't know if they're ever going to be in that Ben Johnson type, um, or even like
00:12:47McDonald type from Seattle, where we're going to try to confuse you as an opposing team by using a ton
00:12:53of motion, move guys up and down on the line of scrimmage.
00:12:56You won't see that as much. You will see examples of it, but you just won't see it as much
00:13:00in use in terms of usage during the game. And that's where it can get very simplified for opponents to
00:13:07go up against them and say, all right, like this, the jets may run a couple of stunts on us,
00:13:12but they're not going to be doing it a bunch.
00:13:13And it's easier for the teams to adjust on that. But look, I think the other thing that, right, let
00:13:18me just make one, one other quick thing. It's not even just about motion or even play calls per se.
00:13:26It's also a personnel issue. I had going into the game. Like if you're not going to give Isaiah Davis
00:13:34again, cause another game where he's a ghost out there, bring up somebody and give a kid three or four
00:13:41carries and say, Hey, these might be the last three or four carries you ever get in the NFL. Make
00:13:45something out of it.
00:13:46Like, wasn't there a stack cause that this is the first time in jets history. There was one ball carrier,
00:13:51the whole game.
00:13:52Yeah. I mean, like 32, 32 plays is 32. Yeah. I know. Yeah. I thought Isaiah Davis playing two snaps
00:14:00was very strange to me. Like, I don't get it. And, um, we were talking yesterday, the frustrating part, uh,
00:14:08right now, like Aaron Glenn's press conferences are pretty short.
00:14:11They, they, they basically start cutting us off at eight minutes. They say like two more questions and there's a
00:14:16lot of ground to cover and we're not hitting the questions on the minutiae, like Isaiah Davis.
00:14:21And so like, I'm dedicating my Friday press conference performance to the minutiae. So I'm going to try to hit
00:14:27him with some of these questions that are like, they're valid questions. It's just Isaiah Davis is playing time is
00:14:33not 0.12 or three on my agenda on a Wednesday. So, but on Friday I'm hitting them. I'm going
00:14:39to hit them with some of the questions.
00:14:40I look forward to hearing it tomorrow cause. Um, and, and look, that's, it's funny. So the, one of the
00:14:46questions that did pop up, uh, this week was, you know, his conversations with the owner, Woody Johnson and the
00:14:52job security, because that was something that again, reared its ugly head after this loss four and 17 is four
00:14:58and 17. We wanted to see signs of progress. It was a really rough start in terms of the first
00:15:04five, first four games of the year.
00:15:06You know, you get the great win against the Titans, but it's like, when you look back at it now
00:15:10with the larger sample size, is it really that great of a win when Tennessee might be considered the worst
00:15:15team in the NFL, right?
00:15:17So the fact that they have lost three straight games and the fact that he has been the reason for
00:15:22the loss of, you could argue two of the three games between the Packers fumble in the fourth quarter of
00:15:28just fumbling that game away in the time management.
00:15:30And last week, just not looking like he had his team prepared to play at all, which is a reminiscent
00:15:35of last year, his job security cause is something that that's come up. And, and he has was asked, you
00:15:43know, what are those conversations like between him and Woody? And I want to make sure I say this quote
00:15:47exactly. Cause I don't want to misrepresent that. He says they're positive conversations with him and Woody. I can say
00:15:52we speak after, after the game all the time. And he gives me his thoughts.
00:15:56I give him the rundown of how things go. And I mean, that's the beauty of our relationship is being
00:16:00able to have those open dialogue, open dialogue with each other, throwing everything on the table. There's also a trust
00:16:06factor there. Cause I think you've said it multiple times. They're not going to fire him mid season. It's just
00:16:13not going to happen. He deserves the full year. But if we continue to see a team that just doesn't
00:16:20look prepared on Sundays, I don't know how like Woody can watch that and say,
00:16:26yeah, this is the guy who I want leading my team. Yeah, I agree with you. Um, and Woody has
00:16:34a lot of fan in him, right? I this from, you know, obviously it's been written about and stuff. He,
00:16:40he kind of, he reacts like a fan a lot of times. So I'm sure Woody is not happy with,
00:16:45with the way things looked in Chicago. I think he was, I'm sure he was very upset after that game.
00:16:50I do think Aaron Glenn, um, is his guy, right? He hired Aaron Glenn. He's known Aaron Glenn.
00:16:56He's known since 2000 when he bought the team and Aaron Glenn was a star player on the team. Part
00:17:01of being a head coach. And I think one of the more challenging parts when you become a head coach.
00:17:06And I actually did a story last year about first time head coaches. And I talked to a bunch of
00:17:10the guys who coached the jets before. And Eric Mangini told me when you're in a, when you're the defensive
00:17:15coordinator, even less when you're the safeties coach, like you don't talk to the owner. You might say hello to
00:17:21him. Right.
00:17:22But you're having no meaningful conversations with the owner. And then you're the head coach and you're having these meetings.
00:17:29And Mangini kind of said to me, you know, owners, you know, owners don't make suggestions.
00:17:36So like if Woody says something he wants done, like, and then you don't do it, then you're in trouble
00:17:40with it. You know, if you, if you don't do it. And I think that was part of what do
00:17:44Mangini was, he did not manage up well with, with ownership. He didn't include him enough. And I do think
00:17:49Aaron Glenn is good at it.
00:17:50I think Aaron Glenn is respectful of Woody Johnson and is inclusive of Woody Johnson, which he wants. So I
00:17:57think he's got a good relationship there, but it's not going to matter if he doesn't win games and it's
00:18:02got to start soon.
00:18:04Like I said, I think he has this season, but the way the schedule lays out now's the time, like
00:18:11these four games that you have three games here that I think are winnable.
00:18:15You win, you win two of them, you win three of them. Your season is, is continuing into November when
00:18:21you've got Kansas city and you've got Buffalo.
00:18:23And I would think the chargers might be on track by the time the jets play them. Right. Or they
00:18:27might be a desperate team at that point. It's a, they've got a tough November, so they got to make
00:18:32hay here in October and keep the season alive.
00:18:35Yeah. Three of the next four games are at home. They're home this weekend's Cleveland. Then they're going to, to
00:18:40new England, which is not, which is a quick trip for them.
00:18:43Uh, they're home against Miami and home against the Raiders. So like you said, cause this is his four opportunities
00:18:49here in October to really prove that he deserves to keep this job long-term.
00:18:53Um, because I think fans, a lot of fans have already written him off. Uh, I want to see what
00:18:59happens this Sunday as a response to what happened with the bears. Frankie, uh, are, have you written Aaron Glenn
00:19:05off already?
00:19:05I think I already know the answer to this, but I am interested to hear if you've written them off
00:19:09already after last week's loss.
00:19:12Well, I had a little epiphany on a Monday morning, maybe Sunday night, uh, had a little epiphany.
00:19:20You know what the epiphany was? I thought to myself, I'm like, sorry, I lost my voice, by the way,
00:19:25screaming at this stupid.
00:19:32No, you know what the epiphany was?
00:19:34Oh my God. I'm squealing here. Yeah. You know what the epiphany was? Aaron Glenn will never be the head
00:19:44coach of a team that has a top 10 offense. That's just it.
00:19:48He will never be the head coach of a team like that. He will never be able, in my opinion,
00:19:54to do anything unless he gets lucky with a great quarterback and a great OC. Yes.
00:20:00Okay. Possibly talking like a 5% chance. Aaron Glenn doesn't do enough on the offensive side of the football
00:20:07for me to have confidence in him moving forward as, as the head coach here that that that's what it
00:20:13comes down to.
00:20:14Like forget defense, forget being a leader of men, forget motivating guys, forget being a player's coach, forget all that
00:20:21stuff.
00:20:22Cause he could probably do all that stuff pretty well. Right. And even if I'm going to downplay it, someone
00:20:26could say that he does it well, and maybe he does offensively.
00:20:31I'll never be able to wrap my head around Aaron Glenn getting into a meeting room with whomever the head
00:20:38coaches, passing game coordinator, quarterback, or offensive coordinator.
00:20:43Excuse me. He'll never get into that room cause and Ryan and say, you know what we have to do
00:20:48this. We have to get Kenyan Sadiq the ball this way.
00:20:52I schemed this little thing up, do it. Like he's just not going to have any input on the offense.
00:20:57And I think the league now, uh, somebody said it the other day in a, in, in a Twitter space,
00:21:04believe it or not.
00:21:04Sometimes you get some good opinions in there. Somebody said it the other day, they go, you know what? I
00:21:08think the NFL in 20 years is, you know, being a NFL head coach.
00:21:12You're going to have to have some offensive acumen to you. Like you're going to have to be able to
00:21:16at least know how to scheme offensive plays.
00:21:20Like the league is going in that direction. Look at the defensive guys. Todd Bowles is 0-4. D'Amico
00:21:25Ryan's is 0-4.
00:21:27Halfley's 0-4. Like, uh, Salah's 0-4. These defensive guys. Mike McDonald, yeah, he, he did. And, and he's
00:21:38the unique case there.
00:21:40Jesse Minter, now Jesse Minter doing okay? He's doing good. He's doing good. They do have Declan Doyle, who's, who's
00:21:45doing a really good job there.
00:21:47Colin plays and they have Lamar Jackson. Listen, and I'll be honest. I'm not totally on the, yeah.
00:21:53I have to hire an offensive minded coach. Like I'm not all in on that necessarily.
00:21:57But you're leaning that way. That's where you're going with your analysis.
00:21:59Well, if you don't have a quarterback or an offensive coordinator, or you don't have a path to either, like,
00:22:06yes, you need that guy.
00:22:07If you do have a quarterback, right? If you have Andrew Luck, like, yeah, fine. Bring in Todd Bowles with
00:22:14Andrew Luck. That could work. Fine. Okay.
00:22:17You know, it's like, but I don't know. It's, it's, it's just, it's, it's, it's, it's a tough hill to
00:22:22climb for Aaron Glenn.
00:22:23I, I almost feel a little bad for the guy. Like, it's like mission impossible. Like, what are you going
00:22:30to do in this league right now?
00:22:31Like, like, you know, they, there's nowhere to go. You have Geno Smith and Frank Reich. Like, look at the
00:22:37other teams are playing.
00:22:38I just, there's no, you're not moving the needle at all. And, and that's the issue. And he got served,
00:22:47you know, a hand and, and he wanted Justin Fields, which we spoke about.
00:22:52I don't think any of us like Justin Fields, um, that move necessarily, but, and now it's Geno Smith and
00:22:58he didn't want Aaron Rogers.
00:23:00Okay. You know, whatever, take it or leave it. But this is not a situation for him that I think
00:23:06can yield long-term success unless they get a quarterback and Frank Reich's not the long-term man.
00:23:16Well, so I think, I think I got to go to Kaz here about this with the Frank Reich. There's
00:23:20a heat on him right now after last week.
00:23:22But then again, when your defense is just getting carved up against Chicago's run and your offense can't get on
00:23:28the field much cause it's tough to, to say your offense can do anything with only 32, 32 snaps.
00:23:33However, you'd mentioned before about the creativity and how they're, this offense is going. I am interested to hear it.
00:23:39Like Frank Reich took this job.
00:23:42He wasn't getting many calls at his door to say, Hey, come be the OC for my team. The jets
00:23:46did call for him.
00:23:48Is the heat deserved on him? And what have you noticed so far through four weeks with how this offense
00:23:55has performed?
00:23:57Yeah, I thought, I think it's been fine until Chicago. And that was a really weird game. Really weird. I
00:24:03mean, to only have 32 plays is so strange.
00:24:05So I don't think we can make any sweeping conclusions off of the Chicago game. I think we need to
00:24:10see how they come back and have, can they have a normal game this week against Cleveland and see what
00:24:15they do.
00:24:16He is down a lot of starters right now as well. I mean, missing Brees is big. Missing Mitchell is
00:24:22big.
00:24:24Parham is big because I don't think replacement offensive linemen are good. So I think when you have to play
00:24:32backups, you're in trouble.
00:24:33Um, so I wouldn't discount that. And I think Gino was bad Sunday. Uh, you know, we've all seen the
00:24:39Garrett Wilson running wide open clip, right?
00:24:41He missed him. He seemed off from the start. He just didn't seem like he was accurate. And so I
00:24:48wouldn't pin this on Frank Reich.
00:24:50I don't think he had a good day, but I don't think there was anyone on offense who had a
00:24:54good day or anyone in the Jets who had a good day really, except maybe Minka Fitzpatrick.
00:24:57But it's, uh, so I, I, I, I, I, I would hesitate to, to jump to any conclusions off of
00:25:04the game Sunday, right?
00:25:05Okay. So I, I hear you completely on the, on the injury part. However, I do think there's a usage
00:25:11and a, and a way up way about he's gone in terms of calling plays that are as a little
00:25:17puzzling to me.
00:25:17The big thing that stands out first off is how the offensive play calling gets into the huddle so late
00:25:26and Gino, and I'm wondering like for you, is this, is this more on Gino, not getting the play call
00:25:33and getting these guys lined up at the line of scrimmage, or is this more Frank Reich and the communication
00:25:38between him and Gino that just seems to not take, it's not going as quickly as it should, because I
00:25:44will defend this to the death.
00:25:45And this is something Matt Hasselbeck taught me. If you are getting up to the line of scrimmage with six,
00:25:51seven, five seconds left on the play clock, and you're trying to snap the ball, you are making it so
00:25:56much easier for the defense to tee up on the, on the count.
00:25:59And you don't have them on their heels at all. So where, what are you seeing between the Gino Smith,
00:26:05Frank Reich connection and how the play call continue, the play clock continues to run down to zero almost every
00:26:10single time.
00:26:12It's hard for me to say without being in the huddle, right? Like you don't know. And I haven't seen,
00:26:16you know, obviously the Aaron Rogers clip went viral with him yelling at Mike McCarthy. I haven't seen frustration from
00:26:21Gino, like, you know, doing this or like, you know, like we see quarterbacks, sometimes, you know, the play's not
00:26:26coming in.
00:26:27So I haven't seen evidence of that. So I think it might be Gino just running the clock down.
00:26:33But I also think Riley, when we're talking about like pre-snap motion, you can't do that also if you're
00:26:39breaking the huddle with six seconds left on the thing.
00:26:41And these defenses are so good at disguising their looks. I think you need to give the quarterback time pre
00:26:47-snap to try to diagnose what's going on.
00:26:49And I think you need to help him get the answers to the test by using motion so that the
00:26:53defense kind of reveals what they're doing.
00:26:55And so I would I think they have to figure that out. And one thing I saw, the delay of
00:27:00game penalty stat is way skewed.
00:27:03Right. I think they've done three or four on purpose at this point. Right.
00:27:07They did two Sunday on purpose, the one at the one yard line. And then they won one other one
00:27:12in the game.
00:27:12They've done it to set up kicks like so that's a little skewed. But yeah, it's it's definitely it's something
00:27:19worth monitoring is it is the time on the play clock when they get out of the huddle these days.
00:27:24Frankie, in terms of play calling from Frank Reich, we've seen. And again, I don't I agree with Kaz.
00:27:30I don't think you could take many conclusions from last week just because your quarterback wasn't playing well and they
00:27:34didn't have the ball very much.
00:27:35But at the end of the day, Sadiq ends up with, I believe, four targets, zero catches.
00:27:40Yeah. Garrett Wilson was not effective at all. And they didn't really get to throw the ball much to him.
00:27:46So for you, Frankie, how does this improve week over week and how do they get the ball more into
00:27:51Sadiq and Garrett Wilson's hands?
00:27:53Because these are two first round picks. These are two guys that I think a lot of people view as
00:27:58very talented and can can help you score points.
00:28:00And they just don't seem to be constantly giving the ball to those two guys.
00:28:07Yeah, man, I think for Frank Reich's offense to be successful, they have to establish a running game.
00:28:14And to a degree, I guess they were to an extent with with with Braylon Allen.
00:28:19He was doing you just see the tweet, but four plays, 26 yards, guys.
00:28:24The drive that will live in for me.
00:28:26I shouldn't do that to the good people in the social media department.
00:28:30What are they thinking? I heard it was.
00:28:31I heard it was a young girl, Kaz. I heard it was it was a young girl, 22 years old.
00:28:36Typically, the people that work in social media are younger people.
00:28:39Yes. Yes.
00:28:40You know, yeah, I it's that's a tough spot.
00:28:43I love how the next play after that was a sack and a punt.
00:28:49You can't make it up. Honestly, you can't have two words plays outside of an interception.
00:28:55Where it's a Mike Francesco. Who knows if this thing's real?
00:28:57All that stuff can't be real sometimes, you know, if it's real fake.
00:29:02But, you know, you know, looking at Frank Reich's offense, I'm just, you know, I'm thinking about the days with
00:29:08Tanner Angstrand.
00:29:09You see what he's doing with with the Falcons over there, guys?
00:29:12Hold on. Hold on.
00:29:14Here's here's a game coordinator.
00:29:18Here's got to take issue with you.
00:29:20OK, I'm not a part of this.
00:29:22I'm not a part of this.
00:29:23OK, one week ago, what were we talking about?
00:29:27One week ago, what were we talking about?
00:29:29How many catches did Sadiq and Garrett have in Detroit?
00:29:32Are you complaining about targets then?
00:29:35I'm complaining about consistency of targets to these guys.
00:29:38OK, but it's one week.
00:29:39What happened in Green Bay?
00:29:41What happened in Green Bay?
00:29:44Well, I don't remember the numbers against Green Bay, but I don't.
00:29:47But look, what they were doing in Green Bay was working pretty well.
00:29:50Right.
00:29:50I just think I think there weren't enough plays.
00:29:54They were really good in Detroit.
00:29:55Yeah, like, yeah.
00:29:57They were good in Detroit.
00:29:58I think you need to give them this week.
00:29:59Let's see what they do against Cleveland.
00:30:00Let's see how they bounce back against Cleveland.
00:30:0332 plays.
00:30:04Who could get targeted a lot on 32 plays?
00:30:08And it was 15 attempts, three sacks, right?
00:30:11So 18 called pass plays, I would say.
00:30:14Garrett got four targets.
00:30:15Sadiq got four targets.
00:30:17That's eight out of 18.
00:30:18That's, I don't know.
00:30:19Braylon got 15 carries.
00:30:21Yeah.
00:30:21Right.
00:30:22Like, it was all messed up.
00:30:23Like, I just, the overreaction to, like, it's crazy.
00:30:28I get it.
00:30:29They look like crap.
00:30:29They played like crap Sunday against Chicago.
00:30:32Let's see if they do it again this week.
00:30:33They play crap, like, against the Cleveland Browns and get their doors blown off again.
00:30:38Go nuts.
00:30:39Kill them.
00:30:39But I just think it's a little overreaction to everything from Sunday.
00:30:44Okay.
00:30:44I'll agree.
00:30:45Listen, Rod, you.
00:30:46I, I, so, I, I, I, I, I agree with Kaz.
00:30:50I, I, I, I did agree.
00:30:51There is an overreaction from, from the Bears game.
00:30:53Definitely.
00:30:53I did agree.
00:30:54And that's coming from me.
00:30:55To a part.
00:30:55But I also disagree.
00:30:57And I have to say, I've watched this team be absolute dog crap for well over a decade now.
00:31:03And this coach has shown zero improvement year over year defensively.
00:31:10Defensively.
00:31:10They've gotten worse.
00:31:12And, and, and, and for me to have to watch this and say, they've invested so much in
00:31:18this defense and Ben Johnson took it easy on you.
00:31:21He took it easy on him last week.
00:31:23That score could have been 50 to nothing.
00:31:25If they wanted to, they literally decided to kick two field goals.
00:31:29When Ben Johnson, the guy who loves going in a fourth down could have easily scored two
00:31:32more touchdowns on them.
00:31:33That, to me, was a coach outclassing the other one and saying, good job, buddy.
00:31:38Patting him on the back after the game.
00:31:40You're right there.
00:31:41Same thing with Dan Campbell.
00:31:42Good job, buddy.
00:31:43You're right there.
00:31:45I don't want that type of head coach.
00:31:47I don't want someone that's right there.
00:31:49I want someone that's going to be progressive and get aggressive and be more than just vanilla.
00:31:55And the fact that the Mougie and Glenn have both invested serious pieces and money into
00:32:01the offensive weapons and the defense, and nothing has shown besides one week against
00:32:06Detroit and somewhat against Green Bay and against the worst team in the NFL in Tennessee.
00:32:12I have to draw my own conclusions of a quarter of the way through the season.
00:32:15It doesn't look good right now.
00:32:17Cleveland is an opportunity to prove a lot of us wrong in fans that are upset right now.
00:32:22But if I'm going off of what recent history has shown with Aaron Glenn and this coaching
00:32:26staff, Kaz, it doesn't look good.
00:32:30I would agree with that.
00:32:32It does not look good.
00:32:33And I think what you hit on, here's the problem these Jets coaches and players face.
00:32:40And I don't think any of them grasp it.
00:32:42And I'm shocked.
00:32:42I thought Aaron Glenn might be the one that grasped it.
00:32:44They don't understand the scars that you guys carry and how quickly those scars open up
00:32:49every time there's a game like Sunday.
00:32:51And, you know, Aaron Glenn has nothing to do with getting your doors blown off by the
00:32:58Colts when Todd Bowles was the coach or the Bills, like those horrible losses.
00:33:02But the memories of all those come back.
00:33:04Aaron Glenn does have to do with last year and the memories of last year came back.
00:33:08But I do like I would just say, think where you were a week ago.
00:33:12You were thinking they were a better team a week ago.
00:33:14I know they we said they no moral victory.
00:33:16They didn't win.
00:33:17They got to win.
00:33:18They got to win one of these games.
00:33:19It's totally fair.
00:33:20But I don't think they're as bad as everyone thinks they are right now.
00:33:25And I just I think everyone's gone the other way.
00:33:29These four games, these four games are going to tell you everything you need to know about
00:33:32Aaron Glenn, I think.
00:33:34Let's let's flip it over to the other side for Cleveland, because this is a guy in Todd
00:33:38Munkin who's got his team playing well.
00:33:40They're three and one.
00:33:41They beat the Steelers.
00:33:42That's another problem for Aaron Glenn is all these guys walk in the door.
00:33:45Munkin, Clint Kubiak, obviously Ben Johnson, Liam Cohen last year.
00:33:50I get it.
00:33:50That's that's totally I wrote about earlier.
00:33:52It's a huge problem for him.
00:33:53And not to mention the guy in East Rutherford, right?
00:33:57Who's not a first time head coach.
00:33:58That's a little different.
00:34:00But he's got a Giants team that, you know, is missing a lot of pieces at three and one.
00:34:06So that that doesn't look good for Aaron Glenn either.
00:34:08But go ahead, Ron.
00:34:08No, no, you're spot on, guys.
00:34:10And the other thing I'll say, too, is he's got a lot of rookies on this team and young
00:34:13players that are playing well.
00:34:15Casey Concepcion, Denzel Boston, Harrell Fan and Quinshawn Junkins, the offensive line
00:34:20they invested a lot in.
00:34:22They revamped this defense.
00:34:24Obviously, we all know Denzel Ward is, but they brought in Jared Verse after they traded
00:34:28Miles Garrett and and this and Carson Swessinger is in his second year.
00:34:32This is a talented young team in terms of what they've acquired.
00:34:36And you're starting to see some of them turn into something.
00:34:39I'm not saying they're full blown pro bowlers or whatever, but they're starting to get better.
00:34:43And he's got them playing good football right now.
00:34:45So what if fans need to know, Kaz, in terms of these young talent that they're going up
00:34:49against?
00:34:50I mean, is it the offensive side of the ball that you're more concerned about this Jets
00:34:53defending against or the defensive side of the ball for the Browns that can really
00:34:57can get after the quarterback at like with the group that they've built together?
00:35:02Yeah, I think it's the Browns defense I'd be more concerned with.
00:35:05They've been playing really well, you know, watch them against the Steelers last week on
00:35:08primetime.
00:35:09And Andrew Barry deserves a lot of credit.
00:35:14You just hit these last couple of drafts they've had.
00:35:16He is just hit it out of the park.
00:35:18I mean, and they lost Mason Graham.
00:35:20So you're not going to see him, but he's he was playing really well.
00:35:22And that was obviously the Travis Hunter trade, which looks really this was a really
00:35:27smart trade by them.
00:35:29And Schlesinger.
00:35:30I love Schlesinger.
00:35:31I think, you know, he and Quincy are a nice tandem there.
00:35:33Quincy Williams, old friend.
00:35:35They're a nice tandem there.
00:35:36Obviously, you mentioned Denzel Ward versus getting after the quarterback.
00:35:39They just they got a lot of nice pieces on defense.
00:35:43And, you know, they moved on from Jim Schwartz.
00:35:46And now, you know, Rudy is there who used to be the Jets linebackers coach, Mike
00:35:51Grudenberg.
00:35:53So he's done a nice job so far.
00:35:56I'm interested.
00:35:57It's going to be an interesting matchup.
00:35:58But the Browns defense versus the Jets offense to me is the intriguing one here.
00:36:02And we'll dive even further into that in a second.
00:36:05But I do want to ask you, Frankie, on the other side of the ball for the offensive
00:36:08young weapons pieces that they have, which one of those pieces is going to scare you
00:36:12the most for this Jets defense to have to cover?
00:36:15Well, I was looking a little bit into the game plan Ben Johnson had.
00:36:20And, you know, what teams do against us, and this is a constant theme, run those
00:36:25elongated crossing patterns, just run them and throw to a spot like Tyson Bajan was
00:36:32just thrown into a spot.
00:36:33He'd have a receiver on his left.
00:36:34Just throw to that spot.
00:36:36And by the way, we got a few picks doing that.
00:36:38Some got called back.
00:36:39But you saw Minka jump up on a pick.
00:36:41Like, so the theme with the Jets is these corners are not able to run with you.
00:36:47And if they're running man, that's going to be an issue.
00:36:50But, you know, we're playing more zone.
00:36:52Glenn's actually playing statistically more zone than he has.
00:36:56So they're still finding, though, pockets in that zone.
00:37:02So that's a theme for me is, like, with Harold Fannin specifically and, you know, KC, how are
00:37:12they going to, you know, neutralize those guys on those, you know, crossers across the
00:37:17middle?
00:37:18Well, it's pretty vanilla in concept.
00:37:21But if you get enough time in the pocket, which teams are finding against us, you can
00:37:26develop those crossing patterns.
00:37:28So that's something I'm really looking at this week, specifically Harold Fannin.
00:37:32Like, how is it going to work?
00:37:34And our linebackers are not the best in coverage.
00:37:37So it's not like you're going to have DeMario or Sherwood that's going to be able to drop
00:37:41back and then, you know, get a pass deflection or make some play or at least be in a position
00:37:46to neutralize what the quarterback's looking at.
00:37:49So, yeah, I don't know.
00:37:52It's interesting.
00:37:53They don't have a per se offense that is, you know, something you're looking at that would,
00:37:59you know, torch us necessarily with those receivers because Denzel Boston's a down the
00:38:04field kind of guy.
00:38:04But in case you can kind of use him in and out.
00:38:08He's not necessarily that kind of receiver, but the books out.
00:38:13I mean, we we've been seeing that those kind of patterns run against Aaron Glenn's defense
00:38:18now for, you know, 10 games last 10 games.
00:38:21He's coach.
00:38:22So, yeah, it's certainly interesting.
00:38:24You bringing that up, Frankie, about the crossing routes and how the Jets are going to
00:38:27cover on that secondary level to and cause and Frankie.
00:38:31I mean, if you take PFF for what it's worth.
00:38:34But Demario Davis is currently out of 50 percent snaps played amongst all linebackers.
00:38:41He's 53rd out of 61 linebackers graded in terms of total defense and PFF grade coverage
00:38:46or total defense, total defense.
00:38:48And that's against the run and pass.
00:38:50And Sherwood is not much better.
00:38:51He's 48th out of 61 linebackers.
00:38:54So you're talking about the 48th and 50, 53rd ranked linebackers in all the NFL when they
00:39:00play at least 50 percent of the snaps in PFF.
00:39:05It's it's not been a good start for those two guys.
00:39:08And they invested a lot of money in those two players cause.
00:39:10How do these two guys improve defensively for this team?
00:39:18That's a really good question, Ryan.
00:39:20I mean, one guy's 37 years old.
00:39:22Is he improving?
00:39:24Right.
00:39:24He's got to play better, right?
00:39:26I mean, he's he's having to play better.
00:39:28I got to be my advice.
00:39:29Play better.
00:39:30I don't know.
00:39:31I got to know what you do at 37 years old to change your game.
00:39:34Like peptides.
00:39:37Like, it's just play better, man.
00:39:39Like, I don't know.
00:39:40And like, if they're linebackers, like you got to you got to play like there's no game.
00:39:45There's no gaming here for them.
00:39:46There's no gimmicks that Glenn can dial up for them.
00:39:49You can't hide them.
00:39:50You know, maybe he goes to more dime personnel, but then they're going to get run over.
00:39:55And I also think, like you said, like if you watch that Bears game, I don't know how
00:40:00you're not coming out running the ball down the Jets throats on Sunday.
00:40:04And, you know, and just if I get hit on another couple of things defensively, you need to
00:40:09see from this team, they got to get a push in the interior.
00:40:13They're getting no push at all.
00:40:14And I know the focus is on David Bailey hard right now.
00:40:17But like Harrison Phillips, Tavondre Sweat, Jawan Briggs, like you've got they've got to
00:40:23push the pocket.
00:40:24I mean, Bajan had a perfect pocket.
00:40:25He was just standing there.
00:40:27They weren't moving him off a spot at all.
00:40:29So, yes, would you like to see David Bailey go around Titus Howard?
00:40:34On Sunday and get a clean sack.
00:40:36I think that would quiet the noise around David Bailey.
00:40:38That'd be good for him.
00:40:39Good for the Jets.
00:40:40But I also think this is the interior of this defensive line has got to do something in
00:40:45the the passing game on Sunday and just kind of make Deshaun Watson uncomfortable.
00:40:50The only pass rush pressure that they're getting on opposing quarterbacks right now is when
00:40:54they blitz David Demario Davis.
00:40:56And that's how they're getting home on these quarterbacks right now.
00:40:59They can't get home with four or five rushers.
00:41:02And I think bottom line, not only the interior guys, but Will McDonald, David Bailey, this
00:41:07whole edge group, Kingsley and Abari's practicing.
00:41:10I'm expecting he would be back ready to go this Sunday.
00:41:14Osai, all these guys they gave money to and invested high premium picks in.
00:41:17They got to play better that this whole team has got to play better.
00:41:21And if you're not going to be doing crazy stunts and twists with the defensive line cause.
00:41:26Winner when you're one on ones like you're talking about, like when a one on one battle
00:41:30with the one play.
00:41:32I would like to see him do some stuff with McDonald and Bailey, like just some, like,
00:41:38I don't know.
00:41:39Do you line Bailey up in the A gap for a play and just let him try to run over
00:41:43a guard?
00:41:43I agree.
00:41:44I don't know.
00:41:44Like just.
00:41:46Yeah, I agree with that cause.
00:41:47And the draw, like the dropping into coverage makes me want to blow my brains out.
00:41:52I, I, I know I'm not a smart defensive coach, so I don't understand it, but I use that as
00:41:56argument with Sala too.
00:41:58Sala did it.
00:41:58And if you remember, there was a game in London when the Jets played the Falcons and he had
00:42:03JFM covering pits and the pits scored a touchdown.
00:42:06I'm like, how is this smart football?
00:42:08Right?
00:42:08Like, and they, but I, I, whatever.
00:42:11I, I, I just, I'd like to see them do some games up there, try something, move them around
00:42:16a little bit.
00:42:18Titus Howard is not that good.
00:42:20So he, this, he gets a favorable matchup this week.
00:42:23Like, I think it's been tough.
00:42:24And so, you know, we'll see, we'll see if he can make some noise this week.
00:42:28We can quiet the RL Reese camp.
00:42:32Oh, please, man.
00:42:33Oh my, I've, I've never, you know how many people are getting at me right now?
00:42:38They're digging up old trees.
00:42:41Listen, rightfully so.
00:42:42I'll take the bullets.
00:42:43I was very, very blunt and open about how much I liked Bailey over Reese.
00:42:49I'll take it for now.
00:42:50But, um, Bailey's playing like they're, they literally have him playing a three, four outside
00:42:56linebacker, like in the most traditional sense possible.
00:42:59And I'll say this.
00:43:00I remember looking at the, um, I was looking into the Steelers, like, I don't know, last
00:43:06year or something.
00:43:07I was like, oh, TJ Watt, you know, how, how are they using him?
00:43:10This is when Bailey was, you know, coming onto the scene.
00:43:12I knew the Jets were going to look at that mark at the edge.
00:43:14So I'm like, oh, let me look at, you know, how they're using Watt.
00:43:16You know, TJ Watt got away with playing outside linebacker and TJ Watt used to drop a little
00:43:22bit in coverage too.
00:43:23Like, don't think TJ Watt was strictly always rushing the passer.
00:43:26Literally they have Bailey playing like TJ Watt a little bit.
00:43:29And like, I just don't know if he's ready for that.
00:43:32And even if he is, and he's actually, you know, he's actually pulling it off a little
00:43:36bit cause like, he's not really that he hasn't been that bad against the run.
00:43:40He's actually, he's the highest.
00:43:42He's been good against the run.
00:43:43Yeah.
00:43:43Great play against the lions, great play against the lions where he got chased the
00:43:46guy.
00:43:47I give him where I was Gibbs or the other running back, but chase him down.
00:43:49I also think this might sound weird.
00:43:52I think Bailey's playing too much and maybe that's because of last week and
00:43:56Osai was injured.
00:43:57Like I do, you know, they, I do think the defensive line rotation, there's
00:44:01something to that.
00:44:02Those guys do get tired and maybe he, if they take a step kind of a little bit
00:44:07lower, he'd have more impactful, you know, snaps.
00:44:11I saw you tweet it cause he, he led the whole,
00:44:13defense and snaps, right?
00:44:15Bailey.
00:44:15Yes.
00:44:16Well, then in the secondary, like you didn't, you know, defensive line.
00:44:20He was the most defensive line.
00:44:21Yeah.
00:44:21He, the guys, the secondary guys, linebackers play every play, but yeah.
00:44:26Yeah.
00:44:26He's playing a lot.
00:44:27And I also think to the point of dropping him in coverage, it's, they're
00:44:31trying to get those SIM pressures cause and, and try to confuse some kind of
00:44:35offensive lines, but it's, it's not working and it hasn't worked.
00:44:39And it's, it's a, yeah, I don't, I don't know, man.
00:44:42Like there's a lot that I could say about this, this Joseph Asai.
00:44:46I understand he's got banged up foot.
00:44:48I know he's probably playing at like 75, 80% of what he probably can be, but
00:44:51they gave him $34 million.
00:44:54Be a better player.
00:44:56Just be a better player.
00:44:58Make an impact here, please.
00:44:59Like he's got to have some kind of impact here this weekend.
00:45:03Are you surprised?
00:45:05Well, again, this like, who was like, like, let's, let's call a spade a spade.
00:45:09Joseph Asai was an, an average player.
00:45:12They chose to start free agency with Joseph Asai as a signing.
00:45:16Well, that's their problem.
00:45:18Like, that's not a good, that's not like going to, they identified him and said,
00:45:22this is who we want to give him a contract to.
00:45:25Nobody knew who Joseph Asai was two years ago.
00:45:27Nobody knew who Kingsley and Imbari was either.
00:45:30But again, we're told that Darren Mugi was doing good this off season.
00:45:35Pressure, pressure's on, pressure, pressure's on him too, guys.
00:45:39These next four weeks aren't just on Aaron Glenn.
00:45:42The next four weeks, you need to start seeing some progress.
00:45:44All guys are pointing fingers at everyone.
00:45:46Everyone fingers at Mugi, at Gino, at Bailey.
00:45:50Everyone, everyone's getting, nobody's safe in this Jets world, guys.
00:45:55Nobody's safe anymore.
00:45:55Frankie, pointing fingers at Frankie.
00:45:58He said Bailey was going to be great.
00:46:00They're like blaming, some fans are blaming me, almost, because they think I had like,
00:46:07like, what did I have to do with it?
00:46:09I just liked Bailey.
00:46:10Like, leave me alone.
00:46:11Like, they're like, fans are mad at me.
00:46:13Well, we know that you were the one texting Aaron Glenn every day saying, draft David Bailey.
00:46:18No, guys, let's talk about, let's talk about actually a matchup that's really going to matter this weekend.
00:46:23And not that this other stuff that we're talking about doesn't matter, because Joseph Versailles needs to be better,
00:46:27and so is Will McDonald, and so is David Bailey.
00:46:28But anyway, Garrett Wilson versus Denzel Ward.
00:46:31Kaz, this is considered the best cornerback in football with Patrick Sertan going down with the injury now.
00:46:36At least according to PFF, he does have the highest grade amongst cornerbacks.
00:46:40Garrett Wilson, last week, will throw that out the window.
00:46:44So, yeah, a lot of talk yesterday about his body language in the locker room talking to you guys.
00:46:50Really?
00:46:50Yeah, Jets fans are starting to worry and concern, and I know you're laughing, but this,
00:46:56I'm just trying to give you what the Jets fan perspective is.
00:46:58The body language experts, I love it.
00:46:59Yes, yes.
00:47:00We've had this conversation like five different times, by the way, Ryan.
00:47:03This has happened like a few times with Gary.
00:47:05When I was around the Yankees, we used to do the body language of A-Rod was a big topic.
00:47:10People always love to study A-Rod's body language.
00:47:12Okay, yeah, hit me, hit me.
00:47:14Yeah, yeah, so look, the one answer that came out about how this team needs to get a win on
00:47:20the board
00:47:20and losing is right now contagious with this franchise, how do they do it?
00:47:25And it seemed like he was down, and Jets fans are concerned that if the losing continues,
00:47:32even though he got his contract extension, he's going to be that next wide receiver that's going to want to
00:47:36ask out.
00:47:37And honestly, I don't blame him at this point because what have the Jets done to help him succeed?
00:47:44Yeah, he wasn't down.
00:47:46I talked to Garrett after the session, and he was in a good mood.
00:47:50Garrett and me and Cade Klubnick played ping pong like they're in the Olympics in the middle of the locker
00:47:57room.
00:47:57It's been very interesting to watch.
00:47:59I'll give you that one.
00:48:00I've been waiting for the ping pong table to be removed from the locker room.
00:48:03We're going to get to that stage of the season.
00:48:05I'm going to Garrett.
00:48:06Cade's going to tweet, I'm in the locker room.
00:48:09There is no sign of a ping pong table here in Week 8.
00:48:13And then Garrett might ask for a trade to take the ping pong table away because he loves the ping
00:48:18pong table.
00:48:19I wouldn't worry about that.
00:48:21Look, the trade requests usually come when guys aren't happy with their contracts.
00:48:26But, you know, I have some theories.
00:48:29If Quinnen had gotten paid again, he might have been happy to be with the Jets, too.
00:48:32It's usually about money.
00:48:34Garrett doesn't like losing.
00:48:35You should love that about him.
00:48:36He's a competitor.
00:48:37And, yeah, he's sick of losing.
00:48:39He is.
00:48:40And he gets annoyed.
00:48:41You can see it after games.
00:48:42You can see the emotion that he has after games.
00:48:45But I think, yeah, I wouldn't worry about him right now.
00:48:48I think this is tough for him.
00:48:52He needs some wins.
00:48:53But I don't think he's thinking about wanting out at the moment.
00:48:57I guess I hear you.
00:48:58But also, you see the stuff on the sideline, the clip come out of him.
00:49:01And understandably so.
00:49:02He's going to wear his emotions as an athlete, right?
00:49:04I know you're rolling your eyes with that.
00:49:05What are we, sitting on the bench, that one?
00:49:07Yeah.
00:49:09Who cares?
00:49:09I don't know who cares.
00:49:11Jets fans care.
00:49:12Jets fans care.
00:49:12We have nothing else to talk about.
00:49:13Oh, yeah, I don't understand, though.
00:49:14I don't understand.
00:49:14What do you want him to do?
00:49:16Should he be running up and down the sidelines, like cheering?
00:49:18Like, they're getting their asses kicked.
00:49:20What were you doing?
00:49:22You were sitting on your couch miserable, right?
00:49:24Yeah, I was miserable.
00:49:25What do you want him to do, Ryan?
00:49:26Ryan, what do you want him to do?
00:49:27He's sitting on the bench.
00:49:28Leave the guy alone.
00:49:28Guys, I am just sharing what the Jets fans are talking about on social media.
00:49:33I know.
00:49:34I'm trying to give you the perspective.
00:49:35I'm trying to give you the perspective of how fans think right now.
00:49:37And I also want to say to both of you.
00:49:39It's insane right now.
00:49:40I know it's insane.
00:49:41But this is what this team has done to us.
00:49:44And I will say this, too.
00:49:45They haven't given him a real quarterback.
00:49:47And, again, he could take his concerns and whatever at the end of the season and go,
00:49:53I'm done, guys.
00:49:54Trade me.
00:49:55I don't want to be here anymore.
00:49:56I don't want to build with a new quarterback.
00:49:57I don't want to build with a new head coach.
00:49:58And that, to me, would ultimately be another sign of this franchise just being so inept
00:50:04and not building around young players that they should.
00:50:07Frankie, how do they get the ball to Garrett Wilson early and often in this game?
00:50:12And how does he perform against a guy that's really, really good in Denzel Ward?
00:50:18Well, listen, man.
00:50:19Look around the league.
00:50:20Look at how the Falcons use Drake London.
00:50:22Look at how the Seahawks use JSN.
00:50:24Look at how the Saints use their receivers there.
00:50:27Like, Olave, we struggle, I think, to just key in on our best players early in a game.
00:50:37If you look at the Saints, they're targeting Olave in the first quarter, always.
00:50:42They want the defenses to, you know, be honest about that player.
00:50:45They want their offense to run through that player.
00:50:49And I don't think the Jets really understand how good of a player Garrett Wilson is.
00:50:55Now, I will say you need other players around him at a point also to, you know,
00:51:02take some pressure off of him because they're going to do bracket coverage.
00:51:06They'll key in on him.
00:51:08And honestly, Rye, this week's not going to get any easier because I'll say one thing about Denzel Ward.
00:51:15He's one of the few corners that every year he's in that top 10 conversation.
00:51:21He's been in that top 10 conversation now for 10 years.
00:51:24Guys go in and out, right?
00:51:26You got guys that you talk about them, Jalen Johnson, in and out.
00:51:30You know, Sauce now is out of that top 5, 10 convo.
00:51:34So Denzel Ward's always in that convo.
00:51:36And this year, he's healthy and he's playing phenomenally.
00:51:42So, but yeah, Ryan, they, I don't know, man.
00:51:45I don't know.
00:51:47Again, we spoke about this a few weeks ago.
00:51:50I still don't think they know how to use Garrett Wilson.
00:51:53I still, I still lean towards he's a deep threat receiver more than he is.
00:52:00Like, he's a down the field guy more or he's better at that than he even is underneath.
00:52:05I don't think he's a, you know, Puka Nakua.
00:52:10Like, I think you got to, like, get him down the field a little bit.
00:52:14And I just don't think our offenses are ever conducive to, you know, throwing the ball down the field, whether
00:52:21it's because of the quarterback or it's because of a dinosaur OC or however you want to, you know, wherever
00:52:26you want to point the finger to there.
00:52:27It's just like, it never really makes sense with down the field threats.
00:52:32I just, you know, you kind of need a quarterback that really doesn't, you know, think too much.
00:52:37And I think Geno now is thinking too much.
00:52:39I think if Geno just says, screw it, I'm going to go.
00:52:41He hasn't thrown a pick, by the way, this year, Geno.
00:52:44So, like, it'd be.
00:52:45I won last week.
00:52:47Yeah, I dropped it.
00:52:48Yeah, yeah.
00:52:48Totally.
00:52:49Right, yeah.
00:52:50I think you got to get Garrett in the slot this week and try to get him away from Denzel
00:52:54Ward a little bit and use motion and move him around.
00:52:57And I know that's always a conversation every, I feel like we have this, we have fascinating conversations about Garrett
00:53:02Wilson in the offseason all the time of like, oh, this new offensive coordinator is going to move him around.
00:53:08Oh, now this offensive coordinator is just playing him on the outside because he played the slot too much last
00:53:13year.
00:53:13And, oh, he's going to click with Aaron Rodgers.
00:53:16Oh, now his old college quarterback is here.
00:53:18Justin Fields is going to, like, it's crazy to me how many conversations we've had about unlocking Garrett Wilson in
00:53:26five years.
00:53:27And, yeah, but this week, to me, I'd be hitting him in the slot.
00:53:32I'd be trying to get him away from Denzel Ward as much as I can, move him around.
00:53:36I'm not sure if Ward will try, I don't know if Ward travels with the best receiver or what, if
00:53:40he plays sides.
00:53:41I do think they're going to have Tim Patrick back, came off of IR, did practice Wednesday.
00:53:46They didn't really practice, but he would have practiced if they did.
00:53:48So I think there's a good chance he's going to play Sunday, which gives them a bigger body receiver.
00:53:53I know Tim Patrick's not going to, you know, you're not all going to go claim him for your fantasy
00:53:57team or anything.
00:53:57But he's a little bit bigger than Sterling Shepard and Isaiah Williams and gives them just a different body type
00:54:03out there that they can use.
00:54:05So that could help.
00:54:07And they're having Mason Taylor back this week, too, right?
00:54:09Mason Taylor's back as well.
00:54:11Yeah, so they've got their full complement of tight ends again.
00:54:14Maybe they can do something.
00:54:16You know, the offense, I'll say the offense should look better because it couldn't look worse.
00:54:21Damn right.
00:54:23And look, guys, I think this is another part of this matchup with the Garrett Wilson-Denzel Ward.
00:54:27They've got to keep their quarterback upright.
00:54:29Kaz, they gave up.
00:54:31First off, the Browns coming up last week.
00:54:33They had the second highest pressure rate in the NFL when they were entering week four.
00:54:37They had a season-high five sacks last week against Aaron Rodgers.
00:54:40Jared Burse had eight team-high nine pressures last week.
00:54:43You talked about Mason Graham.
00:54:45He has four sacks, but he mispracticed yesterday with a knee injury, so we're not sure if he's going to
00:54:50play.
00:54:51So it doesn't look like he's going to play.
00:54:53But this Jets offensive line without Parham, they struggled again.
00:54:57And the sacks allowed week by week.
00:55:00It was zero week one, four in week two, five in week three, and three sacks last week.
00:55:06Twelve total.
00:55:08How do they keep Geno upright and ultimately against this Browns defense that's going to get after it?
00:55:16How does it get better?
00:55:19Blitz pickup.
00:55:21I think that's the biggest thing I see right now is the biggest issue.
00:55:24I didn't think the offensive line – I mean, again, it's 32 snaps, so you can't go, oh, they did
00:55:29this good, they did this bad.
00:55:30To me, it wasn't the offensive line getting destroyed last week.
00:55:33It was these blitz pickups.
00:55:34And Braylon Allen, to his credit, he said he missed two blitz reads.
00:55:38Like, he missed two blitzes.
00:55:39Because I think that's – him having a bigger role now, that's going to be a challenge is him blitz
00:55:46pickup.
00:55:46Like, if you noticed, he's not out there a lot.
00:55:49He hasn't been out there a lot in third down when Brees was healthy.
00:55:53And then, you know, so that tells you they don't like him in pass protection.
00:55:58So, I think he struggled with it.
00:56:01We saw it in Detroit, obviously.
00:56:02We saw it last week with the Bears.
00:56:05So, that's where I think they need to do better.
00:56:08I thought they – I thought Olu played better last week.
00:56:12You know, Membu's value is one of those things where Membu's value is never more clear than when he was
00:56:18off the field for one snap,
00:56:19where he got his helmet ripped off, and he came off, and they put in a core of four there,
00:56:24and he just got destroyed.
00:56:26So, you need to keep Membu healthy.
00:56:28But, yeah, to me, it's blitz pickup, Braylon.
00:56:30It's definitely been something that's been frustrating.
00:56:33And I think also Gino can help them more, too, and get these guys sliding in the right protections.
00:56:36Because it feels like sometimes there's some miscommunication there, too, from his part.
00:56:40And that also leads to the play clock going down so low, because I feel like he's trying to call
00:56:44that out last second, too.
00:56:46Frankie, this is going to be Gino versus Deshaun Watson.
00:56:50In terms of Deshaun, who this season has played a little bit better of late, 855 yards, passes, six touchdowns,
00:56:57two interceptions, a 101.2 rating.
00:57:00Gino, with five touchdowns, no interceptions, 109-point rating, a league-best 72.6 completion percentage.
00:57:07Who is playing better right now, just in terms of Gino versus Deshaun?
00:57:13Honestly, it's pretty equal.
00:57:14I think both are playing pretty average, for the most part.
00:57:18Deshaun's doing a really good job this year of, you know, running what Todd Monken wants to run offensively.
00:57:26I mean, it's quick.
00:57:27He's not hesitating.
00:57:30He's going through his reads pretty fast.
00:57:33I mean, like, the thing with Deshaun, they were always talking about, out of Clemson, the system they had for
00:57:39him there was a pretty remedial kind of offense.
00:57:43Meaning, like, there weren't, you know, many things going on there, necessarily, or many reads that had to be done.
00:57:49You'd go to read one and two, and there weren't too many concepts there.
00:57:53And I think they've, like, toned it back a little bit with him, because I thought they were saying they
00:57:57were getting a little too complicated with some of the stuff they wanted him to run.
00:58:00And Monken's kind of toned it back a bit and just said, hey, go out there, get the ball out
00:58:05quick, go through your reads.
00:58:06I mean, like, he's completing at almost, you know, a 70% rate this year.
00:58:11So, I mean, it's, he's playing very well.
00:58:15Gino's playing well, too, for the most part.
00:58:16I think both quarterbacks, and actually, I think the game's going to come down to which quarterback is going to
00:58:22make the bigger play or be able to improvise and make something happen.
00:58:30I think it's going to come down to a play or two on Sunday.
00:58:33Who's going to make the play?
00:58:34Is it going to be Gino, or is it going to be Deshaun?
00:58:36I don't think the running game, I think both are pretty equal.
00:58:41Judkins is playing okay.
00:58:42He's averaging only three yards a carry, by the way, literally three flat.
00:58:46And then Braylon's playing fine.
00:58:48So, like, I think it's going to come down to which quarterback is going to make the bigger play.
00:58:53And, yeah, they're both playing very well, though.
00:58:56It's interesting to see Deshaun, I mean, coming into the season, Rye, I mean, people want a Shador to start.
00:59:03Like, what are they thinking?
00:59:04Why would they start Deshaun?
00:59:05Are they crazy?
00:59:06I mean, they're 3-1 right now.
00:59:08So, I mean, they're not that crazy.
00:59:09And if you go by QBR standards and metrics, Deshaun's 18th in the league.
00:59:14I always like that ESPN QBR metric.
00:59:16Deshaun's 18th, and Gino is 16th.
00:59:20So, pretty equal right there.
00:59:22Right around average, both quarterbacks.
00:59:25Kaz, you ready for some trivia?
00:59:28Hit me.
00:59:29All right.
00:59:31So, talking about keeping quarterbacks upright, Kaz, can you tell me what Jets player has the most sacks in the
00:59:38game versus the Browns all time?
00:59:44Sacks against the Browns.
00:59:47In one game?
00:59:48In one game.
00:59:49Sorry, in one game.
00:59:49Not all time.
00:59:50Not all time.
00:59:50In one game.
00:59:51Can you tell me, are we in recent times, Rye, or did you dial back for this one?
00:59:56I'll be giving it away by telling you this, but it's recent times.
00:59:59It's recent times.
01:00:04It's four sacks.
01:00:05Wait.
01:00:06Will McDonald had a huge game against them last year, right?
01:00:09Wow.
01:00:10That's correct.
01:00:11Did he have four sacks last year?
01:00:12Four sacks.
01:00:13That is the record.
01:00:14Yeah, yeah.
01:00:14For a single game by a Jet player against the Browns.
01:00:18Four sacks.
01:00:18Will McDonald last year.
01:00:19And the Jets, one of their few wins last year.
01:00:22Will McDonald was a menace with four sacks last season.
01:00:24And he's going to be chasing down Deshaun Watson as well.
01:00:28All right.
01:00:29Fellas, let's do some over-unders and then do our game predictions.
01:00:32Last week, Kaz, you were 0-4 in over-unders.
01:00:37Oh, Kaz.
01:00:39Not pretty.
01:00:41I was 1-3.
01:00:42Not better.
01:00:43Much better.
01:00:43Frankie was 2-2 on the year in over-unders.
01:00:46Kaz is now 5-10.
01:00:48I'm 8-7, and Frankie is 4-7.
01:00:53Let's start off with Geno Smith.
01:00:56Kaz.
01:00:56Best your money wisely.
01:00:57Not with us.
01:01:00Hey, I'm one game over 500.
01:01:02Geno Smith.
01:01:05210.5 passing yards for Geno Smith.
01:01:13So, it's supposed to rain on Sunday, too, of course, right?
01:01:16Because it's rained for 85 consecutive Jets home games.
01:01:21Wait, what was the number?
01:01:22210, Ryan?
01:01:23210.5.
01:01:25I'm going to go under.
01:01:27I think I'm going to go under as well.
01:01:30Frankie?
01:01:33I think I'm going to go over, man.
01:01:35I'm going to go over.
01:01:37Mason Taylor's back.
01:01:38You know, he might have like 40 yards.
01:01:40So, yep, I'm going to go over.
01:01:41If they actually ever throw the ball to him.
01:01:42Garrett Wilson, 70.5 receiving yards, Kaz.
01:01:46Wow.
01:01:48Under.
01:01:49I'm going to go over.
01:01:50That number's way too high against Denzel Ward.
01:01:52So, the Las Vegas might know something there.
01:01:56Frankie, 70.5 receiving yards.
01:01:57I'm going to go over.
01:01:58Garrett's due.
01:02:00Braylon Allen.
01:02:01This is a big number, fellas.
01:02:0374.5 rushing yards for Braylon Allen, Kaz.
01:02:07From 55 last week.
01:02:0855 last week.
01:02:09And he went over last week.
01:02:12By a yard.
01:02:13Yep.
01:02:17That's a big number.
01:02:18But now I'm falling into this Vegas know-something trap.
01:02:21I also think the weather.
01:02:25It's still too high.
01:02:27I'm going to go under.
01:02:27I'm going to go over.
01:02:28Vegas know something.
01:02:30I'm sniffing that one out.
01:02:32Frankie?
01:02:33I'm going to go under.
01:02:34All right.
01:02:35And then let's finish up with any time touchdown score.
01:02:37It can be a Brown or a Jet player.
01:02:39We don't have to just do a Jet player, guys.
01:02:41Kaz, give me a touchdown score for the game.
01:02:45Uh, Fannin from the Browns.
01:02:47Ooh.
01:02:48I like that.
01:02:50Frankie, give me one.
01:02:52I got you ready.
01:02:54Geno Smith rushing touchdown.
01:02:58Interesting.
01:02:58Right?
01:02:59Interesting.
01:02:59Geno Smith rushing.
01:03:00Okay.
01:03:00Yeah.
01:03:01All right.
01:03:02I'm actually interested to hear what those odds are right now.
01:03:04So, Geno Smith.
01:03:06Oh, I got to scroll down for this one.
01:03:08Plus 850 for Geno Smith.
01:03:11Wow.
01:03:12Harold Fannin plus 215.
01:03:15I'm going to go with.
01:03:21He's going to go with Garrett again, Frankie.
01:03:23No.
01:03:24You know what?
01:03:25Give me Kenyon Sadiq.
01:03:27Give me, give me another touchdown.
01:03:29Give me another touchdown for Mr. Sadiq.
01:03:31What is that?
01:03:31Plus 500.
01:03:32Uh, Sadiq is plus 265.
01:03:36Wow.
01:03:38I'll take Kenyon Sadiq.
01:03:39He scores every other week.
01:03:41Kenyon Sadiq scores every other week.
01:03:43Every other week.
01:03:44Uh, let's do some predictions.
01:03:47The Jets are one and a half point favorites against a team that is three and one.
01:03:52And the Jets come down.
01:03:53It's come down, but the Jets are still favored at home against the Cleveland Browns.
01:03:59I'll start with Frankie.
01:04:00Give me a prediction.
01:04:01Oof.
01:04:05All right, guys.
01:04:06So I've been thinking a lot about this.
01:04:11Um, you know what?
01:04:12I'm going to get, I'm going to, you know, get right to the point here.
01:04:15I, uh, Aaron Glenn needs this win and Frank Reich to a degree needs this win also.
01:04:22Um, I think that Cleveland is vastly overrated.
01:04:28I just don't think they're that great of a football team.
01:04:31Like you look at all the numbers and whatnot.
01:04:33Like you look at all the numbers and whatnot.
01:04:33I know they had some impressive wins, but they're still Cleveland.
01:04:38They're running game struggles immensely to just move the football on the ground.
01:04:44Like they're averaging three yards to carry on the ground.
01:04:46It's not, it's not, it's not pretty, um, got some young pieces.
01:04:51I think as negative as I've been, uh, you know, about the justice last week, I'm going to give Glenn
01:04:58and, and Frank one last benefit of the doubt game.
01:05:02Um, one last one, this is it.
01:05:06I think the jets are going to win this game.
01:05:08I think it's going to be ugly.
01:05:09I think we're going to win by a field goal.
01:05:12It's going to be 17, 14 jets, not going to be pretty.
01:05:15It's going to be like some of the wins we had last year, you know, just, just, you know, inch
01:05:20it out.
01:05:21Just, you know, last possession kind of game.
01:05:23You get a field goal.
01:05:24Um, Jason Sanders has been pretty good, by the way.
01:05:27Um, I, I, I think the jets are going to last week.
01:05:31Yeah, he actually did.
01:05:32Yeah.
01:05:32But, um, no, I think the jets win this game.
01:05:37I do.
01:05:38I think it's going to be, you know, you get to two and three, not pretty, but, um, I don't
01:05:43listen as, as much as we've been crapping on them.
01:05:47And, you know, you play the bears and the lions.
01:05:49Those are quality teams.
01:05:52They're, they're well coached, you know, front to back.
01:05:55It's just, it, this is not those kinds of teams.
01:05:59I think the jets, it'll be a common theme throughout the year.
01:06:02If they'll be bad teams, they'll lose to good teams.
01:06:05That's just how it's going to go.
01:06:06So I think this is a, I don't want to say Cleveland's a bad team, but I don't put them
01:06:10in the good team category just yet.
01:06:11I think the jets find a way to win this game.
01:06:14Cause we were all on the jets last week.
01:06:16And I'm interested to hear what your thoughts on who's by the way, cause I texted Ryan.
01:06:20Can I take my prediction back on Friday night?
01:06:22He goes, why I go, I just watched Ben Johnson's interview.
01:06:26The guy scares me to death, please.
01:06:31I didn't think Frankie was going to stop there.
01:06:33Right.
01:06:33We got places to go today.
01:06:34Right.
01:06:35We got things to do.
01:06:36Oh, please.
01:06:38His prediction just lasted longer than a jets drive.
01:06:44Longer than they had the ball in the fourth quarter last week.
01:06:47Yeah.
01:06:49By the way, the speaking of the missed extra point, how does Fox have the score wrong for as long
01:06:55as they did last week?
01:06:56I don't want me to go into Andrew Marshan territory here and be the music.
01:07:00Man, that was rough.
01:07:01I got it.
01:07:02And it's even rougher.
01:07:03Listen to Drew Brees too.
01:07:04How about that guy, Tim Brando called Gino Theo, Theo, Theo, Theo.
01:07:09That was a rough, you know, one of the, one of the underlooked parts of all of this losing of
01:07:15the last 16 years is getting their number five or six broadcast team each week for the games is, you
01:07:21know, you Jets fans, you Jets fans have been through a lot.
01:07:23It's been a long time since you've seen Jim Nance.
01:07:26True.
01:07:28Look, I am, I'm a lot, I'm kind of aligned with Frankie here, which scares me, but I think the
01:07:33Jets are a desperate team.
01:07:35The Jets are a desperate team.
01:07:36And I think the Browns are not as good as their record indicates.
01:07:39Like Frankie said, I won't put them in the bad team category, but I think water finds its level.
01:07:45I think the Browns will probably be around 500.
01:07:48So they're going to have to start losing some games.
01:07:51I think the Jets will be around 500.
01:07:53I, you know, six and 11, I stick with my prediction.
01:07:55I think they'll get there.
01:07:56They got to start winning some of these games.
01:07:58So I actually was thinking the exact same score that Frankie predicted.
01:08:01You can take it.
01:08:03I don't know if I want to do that though.
01:08:06She was kind of, you know.
01:08:07She doesn't want to copy me.
01:08:09But I have in the back of my head where I got cute against Detroit with the score.
01:08:13Because you're like, do I go 16-13 here?
01:08:15But, you know, I got cute against Detroit and now you're at Burmese.
01:08:20I will go 20-17 Jets win on a late field goal.
01:08:2520-17 Jets.
01:08:27And David Bailey gets a sack.
01:08:29That's my additional prediction.
01:08:30Oh, I like that.
01:08:31I'm adding that.
01:08:32I got clean.
01:08:32You're going to get the clean sack.
01:08:33Clean, legitimate sack the quarterback in every way to be happy.
01:08:38Okay.
01:08:39The interception streak.
01:08:40We called it last week.
01:08:41Yeah, we did.
01:08:42The interception streak.
01:08:42We did.
01:08:42You did, yeah.
01:08:43They didn't give me the pick six, but we called it.
01:08:45Good job by you.
01:08:47Oof.
01:08:50Did we go three for three again?
01:08:52He's thinking about it, Frankie.
01:08:53Right.
01:08:54Don't do it.
01:08:54Don't do it.
01:08:55I want to – look, I thought –
01:08:57Don't jinx us.
01:08:58I know.
01:08:58I thought for sure last week I'm like, one of these guys is going to pick the Bears
01:09:02and we'd be good.
01:09:04I can't say we're all going to be on the Jets again, but I have to because in my
01:09:07heart of hearts, I think the Jets should win this game.
01:09:11Will they win this game?
01:09:12I don't know.
01:09:13That's the funny part about this.
01:09:14I don't know.
01:09:14But I do think they win this game.
01:09:16I think they win because they can –
01:09:18Oh, boy.
01:09:18They're going to lose now.
01:09:20The Jets should be able to turn Deshaun Watson over.
01:09:23He throws a lot of balls up there that can be picked off.
01:09:25I think that can actually play a factor in this game.
01:09:28If the Jets get some timely turnovers and actually convert them into touchdowns
01:09:33and not just field goals, it actually makes a difference in this game.
01:09:36And I think it will be a close game as well.
01:09:38So I do have the Jets winning this one.
01:09:40I'll call it 24-21 Jets over the Browns.
01:09:46They get to 2-3.
01:09:48This is a win that Aaron Glenn needs big time,
01:09:51more than I could say he's ever needed a win.
01:09:55And that's a show.
01:09:56And for all you Jets fans who are still around,
01:09:58make sure you hit that like and subscribe button on the New York Postports YouTube channel.
01:10:00Follow Mr. Costello for all of his coverage throughout the week.

01:10:10Let me get the address for all you.
01:10:11The description.
01:10:1211th Street, I believe.
01:10:14Yes.
