00:00This is Woody's guy, Aaron Glenn. And, you know, if anybody thinks he's going to fire him after one year, that's thoroughly irresponsible on any owner's part.
00:08If you're hiring a guy and you fire him after one year, why'd you hire him in the first place?
00:11I mean, that's just it's ridiculous. So but I will say that, you know, if we're talking hot seat, you know, if the Jets are, you know,
00:19whoever the hell is quarterbacking them next year, whether it's Mendoza or a retread veteran, whatever,
00:25if they start one, you know, one and eight, oh, and seven or whatever the number is next year, then the seat will get hot because improvement has to be shown.
00:33That's going to be a big part of bringing more talent in this year in the offseason, this this coming offseason, the draft, using your draft capital.
00:42I think the only thing at this point, Ryan, that's going to excite Jet fans is the Jets somehow getting that first that first overall pick and pick a Mendoza.
00:51Because right now they have don't have a lot to hold on to. I mean, that rope that Aaron was talking about is very frayed.
00:56To me, I will continue to say, like, just don't let go of the rope because there is a plan. There is a vision.
01:03You know, it's sad that it's been only one year and it's that frayed. But that's where we're at right now.
01:07There's just not a lot to to grab a hold of. And, you know, going back to my question, Aaron earlier today,
01:12I asked him what his message was to those fans, because those fans are not showing up at the games.
01:17As you just mentioned, they're canceling their season tickets and that's bad for business.
01:21And that gets the owner's attention more than anything. And Aaron understands that.
01:25But, you know, he's been operating this year as if he he's on a five year plan.
01:29And there's just no such thing as a five year plan in this in this in this league anymore.
