00:00Listen, I want this to be a team that the fans are proud of.
00:03But again, I never said that we're going to be proud of them right now.
00:07At some point, I want this to be a team that the fans are proud of.
00:11And I still stick with that.
00:13And I would still say that.
00:15This is a team that the fans will be proud of.
00:19I'll start off before I talk to you guys.
00:22Aaron Glenn was asked before the season,
00:24what determines a successful season to you?
00:28And he said, exactly, quote,
00:30I want the fans to be proud of this team.
00:33Now, it's semantics by saying, not now.
00:38But in the end of it all,
00:40there has definitely been a shift in what Aaron Glenn's messaging has been
00:45from the start to now, right now, after the deadline,
00:49when they trade Sauce and Quinnen for a haul of picks.
00:51So I have an issue in the fact that
00:54you now have played the semantics game
00:56and shifted your statement of saying,
01:00you want fans to be proud of this team.
01:01They're not proud of this team.
01:03They're not proud of the one in seven product.
01:05And to be honest with you,
01:06no one saw this team being this bad this year.
01:11And no one saw you trading Sauce Gardner at the deadline
01:15for a haul of picks.
01:17Quinnen was obviously the rumors there,
01:18but this is where they are now.
01:20And that is Aaron Glenn.
01:23I think he can't admit his mistakes
01:25where I maybe overvalued where the start of this team was
01:29in the beginning of the year
01:29because there was also at the beginning of the offseason
01:32where he said, this is a winning team.
01:33We're here to win.
01:35So I have a lot of issues with Aaron Glenn
01:38has now put this messaging forward,
01:40Kaz, and I'll toss it to you
01:42and your reaction to what Aaron Glenn said that to you guys.
01:46Yeah.
01:47There's a lot, Ryan.
01:48I mean, first of all, I thought his answer before the season
01:51when he was asked that question was really good
01:52because he didn't kind of box himself into wins
01:57or playoffs or anything like that.
01:59It's like, okay, yeah, like most coaches are going to say
02:01fans should be proud of the team no matter what.
02:05And then just for him to kind of say,
02:07well, no, you shouldn't be proud of the team right now.
02:09I thought was really putting his foot in his mouth.
02:13But yeah, I think the bigger thing is
02:16there has been a shift
02:17and even I was told there's been a shift
02:19in the meeting rooms, like with the players.
02:21Like there's been a shift in the messaging
02:23from the coaches from like we're winning games
02:26to more about development and growing
02:29and improving.
02:31And, you know,
02:33we've heard that before from coaches,
02:37but I feel like Salah and Douglas
02:39were pretty good about that in 2021
02:41of being upfront and being like,
02:43okay, we're not going anywhere this season.
02:45Like they didn't say that,
02:45but they were like,
02:46they would always talk about improvement
02:47and growth and getting young players better.
02:50And you really didn't talk about winning as much then.
02:54And I thought that was fair at that point
02:56from where the team was.
02:58So yeah, it's been a shift.
03:00And I think,
03:01I think Aaron Glenn,
03:02I think the team is not as good
03:04as he thought it was going to be.
03:06Um, that's partially on him.
03:08Uh, and I also makes you question
03:11their player evaluation skills a little bit.
03:13Like, did they,
03:14I get that the sauce thing was like,
03:18oh, they, they,
03:18they're getting praised for structuring
03:20the contract the way they could,
03:22they could train him.
03:23But it's not a good thing
03:23that you signed a guy in July
03:25to a long-term contract.
03:26And we're talking about him
03:27being here until 2030.
03:29He's,
03:30and he's gone before,
03:32before Alan Lazard.
03:33He left the building
03:34before Alan Lazard, guys.
03:35He left the building
03:36before Michael Clemens.
03:37So that tells me like,
03:39you didn't realize
03:40what you had in sauce
03:41when you watched the tape of him.
03:43And he,
03:44he wasn't quite as good
03:45as you thought he was.
03:46So yeah,
03:47it was a,
03:48um,
03:50a statement that raised eyebrows
03:51and concern.
03:52I think we all kind of looked at each other
03:54after he left the room.
03:55Like, did he really say that?
03:57Like, did he,
03:57and like I said,
03:58like I'm pretty cautious
03:59about tweeting it right away
04:01because I want to make sure
04:02I get the quote right.
04:03So I was like,
04:04I'm not tweeting it
04:04until I listen to it again.
04:06And then I was still,
04:06oh my God,
04:07that was bad.
