00:12hey what's up everyone Frankie V here from the New York Post sports and you stadium all right
00:18there is a big discussion today as to whether or not Aaron Glenn will survive the rest of the
00:262026 NFL season let me tell you why I think he won't because we've gone on shows previously we
00:35do our preview show with Brian Costello and Ryan Sampson great show by the way I would I would tune
00:40in and we've discussed that we feel like Glenn will survive the season he's gonna get 2026 to
00:49prove that what he did last year in terms of trying to rebuild trading sauce trading Quinn and getting
00:55those picks you got to give him some time to instill his culture to do the things that he
01:00intended to do here but let me tell you why I think things have changed and it comes down to
01:07a few
01:07things but there's one main component yesterday at MetLife Stadium was an embarrassment and what I
01:15mean by an embarrassment it wasn't what happened on the field necessarily that was the embarrassment
01:19although you could point to the fact that Kirk Cousins and the Raiders offense had 333 total
01:25yards you could point to the fact that the week before Malik Willis came in here with Ollie Gordon
01:31two guys that not many people know much about and torched the Jets offensively you could point to the
01:37fact that in five games and Ryan Sampson brought this up that in five games this year losses for the
01:43Jets they've given up almost 390 yards on average of offense you could bring that up you bring up all
01:51those things on the field that are why Aaron Glenn the defensive coordinator the defensive mind Aaron
01:58Glenn should be let go because his defense has been atrocious in losses and of recent weeks but
02:07something happened at MetLife yesterday that I think gives a little bit more perspective and I think
02:13the owner is not going to like that stadium was filled with Raiders fans Raiders fans that were so
02:19loud that caused left tackle Olu Fashanu to jump off sides to get a false start that's a problem
02:28and I think when you start looking at what leads an owner to say enough is enough to stop the
02:36bleeding
02:37it's situations like yesterday it's moments like yesterday it's environments like yesterday where
02:43your home crowd is not your home crowd your home crowd is the away crowd Vegas Raiders think about
02:52how far away Vegas is now I know there's a lot of Raiders fans from New York I grew up
02:57with a bunch
02:57of Raiders fans growing up Charlie Garner jerseys Jerry Rice jerseys etc but the Raiders fans took over
03:07MetLife Stadium yesterday and our fans that were there and I spoke to many that were there were not
03:14happy about it and I'm sure the owner Woody Johnson Christopher Johnson were not happy about it
03:22and they shouldn't be happy about it this fan base is amazing the Jets fans are passionate we love
03:31football we live breathe and die football we want our team to be good we're 16 years now without a
03:38playoff appearance and this head coach a lot of the promises that we thought he was bringing in a lot
03:44of the things he told us about culture about accountability about defensive play calling
03:51have not turned out to be true it's been the opposite they said coach also said that the last
03:57four minutes of each half belong to the head coach and we've been historically inept in the last four
04:05minutes of each half outscored in the last two minutes of the first half 107 now to nine because we
04:12got a
04:13field goal yesterday it is beyond an embarrassment you can no longer allow this stuff to happen and when
04:20opposing fans come in and flood your home field that's it's a battle cry it's a battle cry and I
04:31think
04:32what I don't think Aaron Glenn is is gonna last a season I don't it there's there's there's a lot
04:40of
04:40negative uh chatter out there I understand that it comes and goes with the territory when you're
04:45losing but we have comments made by Minka Fitzpatrick yesterday no one's really sure what he said is it
04:51the Jets beating the Jets that the Jets being the Jets listen even if he said it's the Jets being
04:55the
04:55Jets he's right it is the Jets being the Jets I don't even find those comments at all any of
05:01which
05:01offensive he's just calling a spade a spade he talked about the Jets being the Jets in the offseason so
05:06I'm sure he said it again because he's from New Jersey Minka this is becoming an embarrassment
05:11to the owner to the to the team to the players and to the fans we don't need it anymore

05:20Woody Johnson's totally in his right to say you know what this is not working out it wasn't going
05:25to work out newsflash when you bring in a defensive minded head coach who struggles with defensive play
05:32calling by the way but it doesn't work when you bring in a defensive minded head coach that does not
05:36understand how to call plays or how to create things offensively when you don't have a quarterback
05:43and you don't have an OC in the pipeline or somebody you can look forward to or look into the
05:49future
05:49and think this is a creative coach on offense that can team up with the DC to score points and
05:58that's what
05:59this league's about scoring points and I thought it was a faulty model to begin with it's proven to be
06:06yesterday for example the Jets scored 33 points they should have scored 43 points they should have
06:11scored 50 points and that's what happens when you have coaches at the helm that believe in clock
06:17management it's a game of field position got to run the football even though we don't run the football
06:23enough for some reason I mean Braylon Allen yesterday had 21 carries for 147 yards that's
06:30seven yards a carry mind you seven yards a carry should have been more give him 28 carries 30 he
06:38would
06:38have ran for 200 yards yesterday so even the things that you'd think they would do as an older school
06:44thought process or whatever you want to call it it's an older uh older coaches there Frank Reich's the
06:51oldest OC in the game Aaron Glenn's one of the older head coaches in the game believe it or not
06:56he looks great by the way but you have you have an older thought there an older thought school of
07:03of of
07:03of system within your head within your coaching staff and you're not even doing the things that
07:09you would expect them to do you'd run the football more you might even be more aggressive defensively
07:14again now the Jets another embarrassing stat is forget about us not having an interception last year
07:19or throughout 20 games which is an NFL record you have had one interception in 25 games which hasn't
07:27happened since 1932 I don't even know if they had stats back then it's crazy we're last in the NFL
07:34in
07:34interceptions this season forget about last season not having one we're we've won interception this
07:39season where's the aggression where's the passion where's the energy I thought we were getting Bill
07:46Parcells 2.0 here or Bill Parcells 0.5 we're getting neither we're getting Bill Parcells minus one
07:52that's what we're getting and and it's inexcusable that stadium yesterday it's inexcusable to be overrun
08:00by Raiders fans for a team that's in Vegas not like we're playing the Eagles or something
08:07it's it's it's it's unreal it's it's it's not gonna end also with this schedule coming up
08:13newsflash things aren't gonna get easier here they're gonna get harder you're playing Kansas
08:18City next week in Kansas City coming off two bad losses then you're playing Buffalo two times
08:25Aaron Glenn's only faced Josh Allen once he's gonna face him two more times things are not gonna get
08:31easier here and I think before things get really bad it's probably in the best interest of the
08:37players of the coaches of the fans to probably move on from this guy and I think they will I
08:43don't think
08:43it's when when when when the bleeding keeps going you got to put a band-aid on it and the
08:49fact that
08:49thinking about this Frank Reich as head coach Seth Ryan as offensive coordinator with right calling the
08:55plays obviously and Brian Duker as your DC sounds better than Aaron Glenn Aaron Glenn and
09:01Frank Reich is an issue that's a big issue and I think they keep them they keep them I know
09:08fans
09:08are like just keep them to get the number one pick or whatever I'm not even thinking about that right
09:12now I'm thinking about how do you stop the embarrassment that is the Aaron Glenn Jets and
09:18every week there's a new anomaly stat every week there's a new situation of embarrassments
09:25like this Raider takeover at MetLife yesterday it's constantly getting worse and worse and worse I said last
09:35week losing of the Owen five Dolphins who came into the to MetLife and never had had a lead in
09:41a football
09:42game this year only had the lead against us I thought that was rock bottom and you kind of just
09:48had a did a
09:49hit a parallel rock bottom yesterday you're at the bottom and uh there's really no way for Aaron
09:56Glenn to get out of this I don't think there's enough creation at the top in terms of play calling
10:00on both sides of the football I just don't think they run a very smart operation up there I just
10:06don't I don't think things are done in the right way and I don't think this coaching staff
10:10is equipped in 2026 to build a winner and the fans deserve a winner and I know Woody Johnson
10:18Christopher Johnson I know they want a winner so um you can critique the ownership group you can
10:25critique anything you want as much as you want but uh there's clearly been efforts to try to bring in
10:31a quality candidate here but it's the wrong mentality when you're hiring these people and if
10:39there's one thing I can say is you got to look at what your advantage is as a team and
10:44I think the
10:44Jets clearly yesterday you saw A.D. Mitchell our wide receiver three looking like a wide receiver one
10:50we have Garrett Wilson we have Omar Cooper Jr we have Kenyon Sadiq we have Mason Taylor we have
10:55Braylon Allen we have Brees Hall still on the team we have two bookend tackles that made Max Crosby
11:01look like an undrafted player this is the kind of offense that you gotta leverage and you gotta double
11:08triple triple quadruple down on and the only way you do that is you gotta bring an offensive mind
11:13here if you want to go with the CEO type that has experience I would absolutely recommend bringing
11:21in a quality OC like one of the like a cream of the crop kind of OC and if you
11:26can't get a cream of
11:26the crop OC you gotta definitely get an offensive minded head coach someone like a Declan Doyle
11:32you interviewed Josh McCown last year or two years ago excuse me last cycle knock on his door again
11:40Josh McCown brings you a combination of offensive mind and leadership and you have that connection
11:45with Darren Mugi and Kevin O'Connell in Minnesota that you can start bringing those conversations to
11:54light but there's candidates out there that make sense for the Jets the thing that doesn't make sense
11:58for the Jets is continuing to go down this defensive minded called defensive dinosaur route
12:05with these guys that yeah they can rah-rah but can they scheme up a play call on either end
12:10some of
12:11these guys they're not even great at calling defensive plays and we saw yesterday Kirk Cousins all day is
12:16just throwing the ball across the middle of the field we know what he's doing you know what he's doing
12:20we know the tight ends are an issue and they still continuously find ways to target both tight ends and
12:25made
12:25them look like you know prime Gronk and Aaron Hernandez seriously that's what it looked like yesterday
12:34so this team is at rock bottom I don't see how we're gonna get out of it if they want
12:41to keep it here
12:42they can there's a bunch of football left there's nine games left on the schedule it's not gonna get easier
12:47I think this thing's ending and it's it's over it's just this this this idea with Aaron Glenn
12:54is is was faulty to begin with there was only one way out of this thing I think if you
13:00had a quality
13:00OC and you've happened to hit on Justin Fields when you wanted to bring him in or you kept Aaron
13:05Rogers around that was really the only way this thing would have worked didn't work it's not working
13:10it's time to move on and the ownership is totally justified if they want to move on from Aaron Glenn
13:15so if
13:16you want my honest opinion I don't think Aaron Glenn finishes out the season why there's too much
13:20time left there was three games left all right yeah I'll finish off there's five games of six games
13:24nine games is a lot nine games is a lot it's November 2nd yes I had a check I'm terrible
13:31with
13:31dates it's November 2nd a lot of time left you have all November all of December most of January
13:39it's a lot of time and I don't think they're gonna make it I don't but yeah with that being

14:08Braylon Allen 80 Mitchell we you know we know what Gary can do we know what Omar Cooper Jr. can

14:13we know Mason Taylor and Kenyon Sadiq can do there's a lot of cool things here the offensive line we're
14:18an interior offensive lineman away from having a really good offensive line there's things to be
14:23done here three first round picks looming now it looks like and Brian Costello posted this and I love
14:31when you post tank-a-thon stuff it's great uh four six and ten we have right now that's great
14:37I'm all
14:38about Drew Mestemaker we'll get into it but there's some quarterbacks in this class we'll see how things
14:42shape out but the Jets are in a good position I think it's time to move on and I think
14:46they will move
