04:56You cannot control things out there.
04:58So just go do what you can do and finish the race.

05:04So if Dax is still listening, because he was earlier,

05:12And his team manager is kind of guiding him in the right direction.
05:15You force this, we've seen it, and that's when it all goes wrong.

06:18Also, he would be the championship leader at the end of the day today
06:22if it ends like this.
06:23There is the 29 of Hymus having his issues almost goes down, able to recover.
06:27But Hitchin has now moved to third.
06:29Yeah, he's making it past Benick.
06:31He will take the win today.

06:34I mean, it is close.
06:36Benick is 25 seconds behind the leader.
06:38Levi is 32.
06:40Yeah, but he just busted out that double.

06:52Timing these guys is going to be absolutely crucial right there.

07:08Yeah, what makes it difficult, you know, Levi, he's trying to go to a new line

07:14So easy to start getting excited out there, get on the gas and a mistake.
07:18But, yeah, if you're Levi Kitchen, you might walk away not winning a moto.
07:22But I think for him, the way that season ended, we weren't really sure if he was
07:26healthy even coming in here to be able to gain some points and possibly lead this
07:29thing coming out of this race.
07:31It would be a great race, great results for Levi.
07:33Well, what an incredible turnaround it would be.
07:35He would leave as the point leader and maybe the race winner.
07:38The last time we saw him two weeks ago at the Pro Motocross finale, it looked like
07:42this.
07:42An early crash that pretty much ended his championship run because he would have a long
07:47way to go, and then it went from bad to worse with this wild ride down a hill that ended
07:51his day.
07:52Yeah, that was a tough day for Levi.
07:54I mean, he came down, as you said, he needed a little bit of help from Cole Davies.
07:56But what even makes it worse is that you go back one race before that, he was leading
08:00the point.
08:01So he basically led it most of the year to come in with only a race left to have that
08:05happen.
08:06And again, coming into this race, he really wasn't sure how his health was as he's trying
08:10to get around another lap rider.
08:11But he's definitely showing up here today.
08:15And look at this.
08:16The race leader Davies in the 37 has caught the defending champion Joe Shimoda, who has
08:21had a terrible day in the mud.
08:22Shimoda about to go a lap down.
08:25Joe is in 11th place.
08:27It's crazy how much that Cole Davies has lapped up to in a short amount of time.
08:34This guy is absolutely moving.
08:37That's two crashes now for the Honda man from fourth.
08:42Yeah, he was actually in fifth.
08:45He actually got passed by Roder D, which is going around him, and he goes down.
08:49So Roder D is showing some performance, and another one for Joe.
08:55Beautiful, brutal day for the defending SMX world champ, Joe Shimoda.
09:02I hate to see that, but I ain't given up on him yet.
09:07I mean, this is his resilience in the past, coming back from injuries, and just as soon
09:12as you think that he's out of it, he was there.
09:16Oh.
09:17A little further back, Max Bolin of the 19, the lead rider in this group, had a spectacular
09:22first photo with a fourth, and he is now sixth.
09:26He's looking at fourth overall for the day, so a good run for Max, Will.

09:33I was actually just going to tag back to something Ricky had just said about Joe Shimoda.
09:37When you're talking about that resilience, Ricky, that Joe has, chatting to him, that's
09:42what he's most proud of right now.
09:44I mean, this was just a few hours before racing there, and he said to me, I know I'm capable
09:48of doing that now.
09:50It's like, I've never had to do it in my career now.
09:51I've had to do it twice, you know, within a racing year.
09:55It's like, knowing that I can do that and not throw me off for an entire season, it's
09:59like, I know I'm capable of it.
10:01So I'm completely in agreement with you, Ricky, that we're going to see Joe bounce back
10:05from this.
10:07Yeah, he had multiple starts and stops this year with injury, and he's going to have
10:12to do it here again.
10:13Bolin in the bottom, like we said, would be fourth overall.
10:16He is battling it out with Cameron McAdoo.
10:18He's just back to racing on the 142.
10:20You just have to trust me, that's a green motorcycle for McAdoo.
10:26And these points in a short three-round playoff championship.
10:31He's got to send a lot of money and maybe even get 10 for the title if they get things
10:35started, despite how badly the regular season went for them.
10:39And again, watching the regular season here, until we got the playoffs, I don't expect anything
10:47less next weekend when we get to round two.
10:50More chaos, more chaos.

11:17Levi, right there in the left-hand corner before the finish line.
11:21So Daxton needs to look ahead.

11:29When the guy's out front, they don't know where the guy behind him is.
11:33And with all these lap riders, you just assume that, oh, here's that guy.
11:36And sure, he's getting a sense of the same green helmet or green bike.
11:39He keeps seeing that same rider.
11:41So he probably knows that's Levi.
11:42And just what I was going back to earlier about Daxton and this race, the nurse getting
11:47in.
11:48I know what Nathan said as team manager about just you can't really control that, which
11:51he's 100% right.
11:52But when you're in a position to be able to get your first one ever, it's just, it inherits
11:57the nerves.
11:58They just come.
11:58And so for Daxton, he's got to hang on for another lap here in these brutal conditions.
12:04Otherwise, he gets past to about a 47.
12:08You're going to be waiting for another race for possibly getting his first win.
12:12Two laps to go is an absolute eternity when they're running a minute and 22 seconds.
12:17So here's Shiboda again.
12:24One of those days.
12:25Yeah, it was brutal.
12:27Yeah, and you just saw that coming.
12:28He went from the left to right, going back and forth, and the mud you don't want.
12:31But I was going to say, look at the screen.
12:33Wait a minute.
12:35Kitchin has now got through the lap traffic.
12:37So you got Kitchin in green trying to make the move off Benick.
12:40This would be for the overall lead.
12:41And Kitchin now has it for the lap to go.
12:44You can see that coming.
12:45You saw how aggressive Levi was.
12:46He wanted to get on the inside of that lap rider because he knew he did.
12:49He would block Daxton.
12:51Now, Daxton, you've got to go for it.
12:54And one thing that's different from our normal races, the way the points are brought out for each moto,
12:59it's a, what do you call it, Olympics-style point there.
13:02So it's basically one point between first and second, unlike the three.
13:05So for Daxton, he needs to make this pass if he wants to get this overall victory.
13:10Kitchin would have a 2-2.
13:12That's four points.
13:13Benick would have a 1-3.
13:14That's four points.
13:15The tiebreaker is the better second race finish.
13:18And now, Kitchin is in control of that.
13:21And he jumps the big double.
13:24Dude is absolutely rolling.
13:26And Daxton didn't look like he had any retaliation or reaction, pardon me, to getting passed for the overall win.

13:37Yeah, Cole Davies, and with the win, he's going to go 22, that's last, and one in the two races.

13:48Levi Kitchin, two weeks ago, absolute heartbreak.
13:52Multiple crashes and a championship finale for motocross.
13:55No one really knew where he would be physically or mentally coming into this race.
14:00We know now, Levi Kitchin has won playoff one in Columbus.
14:06And I don't even know if he knows.
14:08He's about, talking about redemption.
14:11You think about the championships, he's been so close to winning.
