00:00Flight racing, 15-second board up for the B-final here.
00:03Inone.
00:12Five-second board turns, heads down, revs up.
00:18Heartbeat pumping through the chest of the riders as the gates drop here.
00:24Will there be any carnage through the first turn?
00:26Everybody looks, well, just one rider tipping over to the outside.
00:30That was the 52 of Norway, Leander Tunchal.
00:36But it's the 31 who leads the way, Kaya Shiro of Japan.
00:4059 is next.
00:4169, I think, of Yeri Havisto of Finland.
00:43Yes, it is.
00:48And Kovar of Czech Republic there on the 117, he's third.
00:51Ratusky is next, his teammates.
00:53So at the moment, Czech are in the driving seat.
00:56With two riders inside the top four positions.
01:04Sweeping uphill.
01:07Team Ireland, Dickinson down in 11th place.
01:12McCormack in 18th place.
01:14So they've got a lot of work to do if they're to advance from here.
01:21But it's Shiro of Japan who continues to lead.
01:25Yeri Havisto trying to get through as his teammate, Emma Weckman, said they would try to.
01:32Shiro a little bit hesitant at the top of the hill.
01:34Holland.
01:36Does he still manage to hold onto the lead?
01:37Yes, he does, but he can't get the distance over the jump.
01:40And Havisto goes on by, takes over the lead.
01:49E parece que Kovára foi passada por 1.15 de Ratusky.
01:55So, Ratusky de Cech Republic.
02:03Os dois, 3º e 4º, agora.
02:09Get a better picture as we drop downhill aqui.
02:12Oh, I tell you what, that was pretty close.
02:15Two riders into that bottom corner, just about survived.
02:19Havisto there, leading the way, but it was Ashiro and Repchak.
02:24Repchak, almost coming together with the Japanese rider as they hit the downhill jump.
02:32Yokoyama, the 2nd of the Japanese riders, he finds himself in 5th position.
02:37And it's Japan that are going through at the moment.
02:39They are on 8 points with a 2nd and a 6th.
02:42Cech Republic with a 5th and a 4th at the moment.
02:48Slovakia.
02:49They're in 3rd with Repchak.
02:52Kovára 4th, so this is going to be very, very tight again.
02:58Kovára 4th, going around the outside on the 1.17 for the Czech Republic, going after the Slovakian rider.
03:06Repchak.
03:13Sun's still very, very low as they emerge through that long left.
03:17Not so bad when you cut across the valley like this, but when you go, turn right and then uphill
03:24through the long right-hander, just past the Dunlop signs, starts to get a little bit blinding there as well.
03:30But Jeri Avisto leading the way for Finland, Finland though, at the moment, they're not qualified.
03:35They have 21 points because they've got...
03:42Avisto in 1st, and then their 2nd rider is in 20th position, and that's Sakuman Sikamaki.
03:49Weckman in 25th place.
04:00Ryder down through those deep ruts, goes down hard as well.
04:0789 of Carlos Badihali from FIM Latin America.
04:17See how tricky those downhill ruts are at the moment.
04:21Repchak into 2nd, Oshiro has been pushed down into 3rd place.
04:24This is going to be challenging then for Japan.
04:26Czech Republic are tied.
04:27They have a 5-4 compared to a 3-6.
04:31So the fact that they've got a 3rd, which is higher than their 4th place at the Czech Republic...
04:37They've got a 4-5, 3-6, yes, so their 2nd score is lower for Japan, which is why they
04:44are out at the moment.
04:46Because a 4-5 beats a 3-6 in a tie-break.
04:50Czech Republic are going through as it stands right now, but we've still got 15 and a half minutes, plus
04:542 laps to go here.
04:58Avisto continues to lead, but the 1.23 of Repchak.
05:03Pavel Repchak of Slovakia.
05:07Now only 1.8 seconds behind, he was a couple of tenths quicker with the fastest lap that time around.
05:14And here is Repchak, going after Avisto.
05:22Finland are up to 4th, but they're 10 points off of qualifying at the moment.
05:30Because Avisto here, doing a great job for them up front, leading the way, but Mansa Kamaki and Wekman now
05:3718 and 19.
05:38So Wekman will probably find his way past his MX2 teammate and try to charge his way through the field.
05:43Got some work to do though still.
05:45Because Finland's still on 19, Czech Republic and Japan tied on 9.
05:52The two leaders coming downhill, Avisto of Finland, Repchak of Slovakia.
05:56That's how it looks now, on screen.
06:00Briefly.
06:02Two leaders heading up the middle, they see the shadows, casting the shadows there.
06:08Just on the bumps, exactly where they are.
06:10They're only going to get deeper and more rougher as the day goes on.
06:14Repchak quickest again by eight tenths this time around.
06:19He's being urged on, they are only two points off of qualification at the moment.
06:24Slovakia with Thomas Kohut and Jaroslav Katrinak.
06:28Where are they in all of this?
06:34Kohut in eighth place at the moment.
06:39And he's 1.1 behind Yokoyama.
06:44Do with another point or two here.
06:47Well Slovakia now on 10.
06:49Japan on 10.
06:51So Slovakia now only one point behind.
06:54But they've got an 8-2.
06:59Another rider down there.
07:01In the fence.
07:11So the 69 then.
07:15Of Havisto.
07:16Leading the way.
07:18Sorry.
07:18Yeah, still leading the way.
07:21And Repchak.
07:22Despite setting a vessel at that time around.
07:24Just starting to lose pace in the last intermediate sector.
07:30Bit of Havisto doing a great job.
07:32Trying to
07:34at least give his team that opportunity.
07:39Wekman has found his way past his teammate.
07:40Moves into the 17th position.
07:42He is right in the thick of it as well.
07:44But maybe too little too late in the next 12 and a half minutes plus two laps.
07:47Lap times of course.
07:48Close to two minutes.
07:51So you've got the best part of 16 and a half minutes here still to run.
07:59Looks like he's been able to steady the ship at the moment.
08:02Jari Havisto of Finland.
08:05That's downhill for the third time.
08:08Three laps complete now.
08:09For the number 69.
08:11A 1.58.588.
08:14He's now 2.6 seconds clear.
08:16Because Repchak.
08:17His pace starting to falter.
08:21It was a two-minute lap time for him.
08:24Shiro still there in third.
08:25Great for Japan.
08:26Kaya Shiro on the number 31.
08:28He's four and a half seconds behind.
08:29Japan in a non-qualifying place at the moment.
08:31They are in third but they're tied with Slovakia.
08:34They're not out of it yet.
08:35There's only a point in it.
08:37You only have a right or lose a position or two.
08:42Because of fatigue or a mistake or whatever.
08:45And all of a sudden, the teams that are chasing there.
08:48Slovakia and Japan at the moment they're right back in it.
08:58There's Kovar just going through on the 1.17.
09:01Then Ratusky.
09:02Then behind them Gunderson and Yokoyama there on the Kawasaki.
09:06He's in seventh place.
09:07And Thomas Kohut there on the 1.21.
09:09The other Slovak in amongst all of this that can change things.
09:14Obviously, he's trying to find his way past the rider ahead of him.
09:16Yokoyama, Repchak trying to find his way past Tavisto.
09:20If they do that, then it's Slovakia at the moment that are going to be going through.
09:29Anxious moments in this B-final as always.
09:32There is the 32 of Haruki Yokoyama on the green Kawasaki there.
09:421.21 of Thomas Kohut just behind.
09:45Not able to get close enough to this rider here at the moment
09:49to make what would be a decisive pass to get them tied with Czech Republic.
10:02He's trying to inch his way around this racetrack here.
10:06The 32 of Haruki Yokoyama.
10:13Thomas Kohut gaining ground though.
10:21It's got to show how this circuit is just starting to get beat up now, doesn't it?
10:25From that angle, heading up the hill.
10:27See the rut's heading downhill as well.
10:29Here's his teammate, Kai Oshiro.
10:37He's having a great ride, actually.
10:39It might be just under five seconds behind Repchak,
10:41but he's got about two and a half clear of Peter Kovar,
10:44but Kovar putting in his best lap that time around.
10:46159.861, Oshiro was a 201.3, so can't afford to switch off here.
10:52The Japanese rider, Oshiro on the MXGP machine.
10:58Team Ireland have pulled their way back up to sixth place at the moment there on 21.
11:09What you cannot see is how deep those ruts are,
11:11but when you see half a wheel missing going through those deep ruts,
11:14gives you some idea as to how deep they are for these riders to negotiate,
11:19especially in those turns.
11:25Yokoyama under pressure here from Kohut.
11:30Kohut in white, blue for Slovakia.
11:35If he can find his way past the Japanese rider ahead of him,
11:38they will tie with Czech Republic,
11:44who are fourth and fifth in the race at the moment,
11:47with Kovar and Ratusky.
11:55One of those bikes starting to steam from the left-hand side.
12:06Ryder down, and it's a Japanese rider, Yokoyama.
12:10Is that going to decide the outcome here?
12:15Just looking at the screen there, to the outside saw Yokoyama go down.
12:21Was he helped?
12:28By Kohut.
12:32Try and get a replay of that if we can, but it's Havisto continues to lead.
12:35Rep Czech second, Ashira third, Kovar fourth, Ratusky,
12:38goodness of Kohut now up in the seventh place.
12:44Yokoyama picking himself back up in 10.
12:56And even though
13:01Thomas Kohut has moved up into that seventh position,
13:04Czech Republic is still there with a 5-4 as it stands right now.
13:09They are on nine, Slovakia on nine, but they've got a seventh and a second.
13:15Here's Wailuk, number 99, back marker, straight on, took him out.
13:20And that was Erich Ismael Vázquez Díaz.
13:24And Japan were on the cusp as well.
13:27They were only one point behind Slovakia and Czech Republic at that point.
13:38Back market did his best to try and get out of the way, but caused more troubles for Japan.
13:43And as the 115 comes through there, Peter Ratusky in that fifth place,
13:50he's got Petter Gundersen behind him, the Norwegian on the MX2 machine.
13:56So you've got 450 versus 250.
14:02Ratusky, fourth Czech Republic, he can't afford to lose the position here to Gundersen.
14:10Go to another 53.
14:15The long downhill.
14:19Into that 180 left.
14:22Gundersen needed every ounce of power,
14:25which is why he went wide to the outside, just to try and get a bit of slingshot,
14:28to give himself any kind of chance to stay in with the 115, the 450 of Ratusky.
14:41Oh, back marker again, just trying to stay out of the way.
14:48Quick look at the scoreboard here.
14:51Czech and the Slovaks still on nine apiece.
14:55Fifth and fourth for Czech Republic.
14:56Seventh and second for Slovakia.
14:58Japan on 13 with a third and a tenth.
15:01Their MXGP and MX2 rider.
15:04Finland on 16 with a 15th and a first.
15:08So Mansi Kamaki is now up into that 15th.
15:11Wekman has been there.
15:11He's now down into 19th, 20th place.
15:14He's gone out, maybe.
15:17Still waiting for him to hit the line.
15:18So all of a sudden, the effort's now on Mansi Kamaki for Team Finland
15:23in that 15th place, because Wekman has dropped out of the top 20
15:27and can't see him getting back ahead of his teammate from there.
15:29So that's going to be disastrous for them.
15:38This battle's still going on here.
15:44The 1.15 of Ratusky.
15:49And Kohout has found his way past Capella Gundersen.
15:55Wekman out.
15:58Disappointment then for the Fin on the number 67 machine.
16:02Look at 1.21, Thomas Kohout here.
16:04He's absolutely on a flyer.
16:07Kohout for Slovakia.
16:13Oh, we're going to see things change this time around at the top of the leaderboard.
16:26Maybe not quite.
16:29Maybe we will actually, because Kohout is now going to be up to 6th place, isn't he?
16:34Slovakia may be edging this by a point when we hit the line now.
16:38And they do go to the top at 6-2 for Slovakia.
16:44Czech Republic 9 with 5-4.
16:47One point behind.
16:49A crucial pass from Thomas Kohout on Pelikundersen.
16:55Oh, I'll tell you what, Ratusky.
17:00Somehow manages to stay on two wheels for Czech Republic.
17:14Watches here. Just catches the bank with his left foot peg.
17:17Bone feet off the side of the motorcycle there.
17:21And Kohout just not close enough to pick up another position, but he is now.
17:26He can put a bit more daylight between himself and the Czech Republic riders as he nudges up the inside
17:31of the rival from Czech Republic there, Ratusky. Kohout now up in the 5th place.
17:49Good hard ride in this from the 121.
17:52Thomas Kohout.
17:57They're now going to be up into 5th place with that pass a moment ago on the rider in red.
18:03Just here, Ratusky.
18:06Gundersen just behind for Norway.
18:09No one's catching Eriavisto.
18:12Finland really with Mansi Kamaki now down there in 15th place.
18:16He's got about four seconds to make up, nearly five seconds to make up on McCormick.
18:23Island on 22.
18:25Eight is the lead score at the moment.
18:28This was the 1.23 just a moment ago.
18:31And then, of course, the teammate to Thomas Kohout, Pavel Repchak.
18:39Falling from second to third.
18:46Puts the pressure on again.
18:59So Japan at the moment gaining another point.
19:04Japan's still not out of it yet, although
19:08as it stands right now, four points might be three when they hit the line at the end of this
19:11next lap.
19:12There is Pavel Repchak there.
19:15He launches downhill.
19:18Repchak.
19:20The lead.
19:23Slovak rider in third position.
19:27Kohout is fifth, which is why a three and a five bringing up those eight points.
19:33The lowest tally.
19:43But there is still time in this race for things just to sort of slow down
19:51and change when the scoring is so very, very tight.
19:58Javisto is in the final sector.
20:01He is 19 seconds away from the line.
20:04Where is he in relation to that finish line?
20:07The race leader just keeping an eye.
20:10We've got 10 seconds left.
20:11Is he making his way towards the line any moment now?
20:17He just goes through three laps to go.
20:20There was about three seconds on the clock as Javisto went through.
20:26So whilst that gives his Finnish teammate a little bit more time there in 15th position
20:30to try and advance further.
20:34It's definitely applied the pressure now to the Slovaks.
20:38So the Czechs and the Japanese who are the three leading nations in this
20:42is all fighting for that B-final transfer.
20:55Shiro on his own in second.
20:57Here is the 1.23 of Pavel Repchak.
21:00It's his third place and his teammate Thomas Kohout's fifth place at the moment
21:06that is getting them through to the main event.
21:10We've seen how easy it is to make a mistake.
21:12Repchak falling in a simple turn.
21:15Losing second place to the Japanese rider Kai Oshiro.
21:29He looks like he's been able to recover well.
21:34Kovar of Czech Republic is in fourth place.
21:37His teammate is in sixth.
21:39So Peter Ratuskij, Václav Kovar, those two riders still hoping for a glimmer of hope.
21:57Oh, I'll tell you what.
21:58A bit loose there from Repchak.
22:04Two lap board getting ready.
22:07There's the 99 of Eric Ismael Lafka-Diaz
22:14from Mexico.
22:20As we watch the 1.23 in third, Pavel Repchak.
22:24He is the lead rider from the Slovakian team at the moment.
22:29Two lap board has gone out.
22:33Oshiro just at the bottom of the hill around the corner about two and a half seconds.
22:37Here he is, number 31.
22:38That's second.
22:39And here is third.
22:42Repchak going for one more position in the final two laps.
22:49Be interesting to see how crucial the final lap will be.
22:53Oh, I'll tell you what.
22:56Oshiro goes down right where he didn't want to.
23:04And that gives another point back to Repchak.
23:07Another point then for the Slovaks.
23:09That's going to give them a three-point buffer now.
23:15Said a moment ago.
23:17Easy to make a mistake on a tricky circuit like this.
23:20There are a lot of ruts.
23:22There's a bit of speed in this track as well.
23:24And you kind of just get lured into that high-speed push.
23:27And then all of a sudden that rut gets deeper and tighter.
23:30And you carry too much speed and you can tip out the opposite side.
23:34If you go down, that's one way.
23:36But if you just cross rut and go across another three or four,
23:39that's going to cost you time all the same as well.
23:41So Oshiro then from second and third,
23:43handing back that second to Pavel Repchak.
23:53But a three-point buffer for Slovakia now as they head into the final lap.
23:59And Kai Oshiro can't afford to relax anyway.
24:03I mean, they're four points off anyway, Japan.
24:08But Kovar, Václav Kovar is closing in on him.
24:11There's Kahoot.
24:14He's in fifth position, still the second rider for Slovakia.
24:20A good low score for the Slovakian team.
24:24Their other rider, Jaroslav Katranak, on the 1.22.
24:28He is in 20th position, so they're scratching his result.
24:35So now they're all hoping there isn't a problem with
24:41Repchak or Thomas Kohut.
24:47One lap board already out to Jeri Havisto.
24:50He's 16 seconds clear of this rider here on the 1.23 from Slovakia.
24:58Pavel Repchak.
24:59That marker getting out of the rut there as well, look.
25:051.22 of Katranak.
25:08Here's the third rider.
25:10He's still out on track.
25:12And that's the thing with the B final.
25:14You continue until the checkered flag,
25:16because you just never know what's going on ahead of you.
25:19A little bit loose there on the exit, but I'm sure by now,
25:26as he will head into his final lap,
25:28he'll probably get the pit board to say,
25:30we're going through.
25:36A little bit short on the step down there.
25:39The sun's still very low and hazy when you head uphill in the opposite direction here.
25:46Come the main race, though, it will be a little bit higher in the sky.
25:50Anyway, in sector three any moment now, Jeri Havisto, your race winner for Finland.
25:56He's just gone through sector three, so that is on the top of the hill.
26:01He's working his way through the just to the side of the camera tower there,
26:04into that right, left, and then down the GoPro hill.
26:09Our race leader.
26:11Because he is in the final sector and the number 69, Jeri Havisto,
26:17is just moments away from taking the checkered flag.
26:21Here he is, the second rider in shot.
26:23There he is.
26:23He hits the line now in white.
26:26Havisto will win, but Pavel Repchak will cross the line any moment now.
26:32And Slovakia will go through.
26:38As long as his teammate Thomas Kohut stays there in that fifth position.
26:44We wait for Kai Oshiro.
26:47Václav Kohut.
