00:15Then it's going to be Langenfelder, I think, or Everts.
00:21We'll have to do a rain check on that for now.
00:23But it's Langenfelder who leads going into turn 2.
00:26And Ferez, alongside him, jumps long, makes the pass.
00:30And he immediately launches into the lead.
00:32Where is Sascha Kunin?
00:34Well, fortunately for him, he's only going to be as low back as 15th at the moment, if that were
00:37the case.
00:38But it's Ferez who leads on this opening lap.
00:40But you can tell Simon Langenfelder riding with a little bit of urgency himself,
00:45a little bit of intensity, because mathematically it's still possible for him to still win this championship.
00:49He won't want to rule himself out just yet.
00:51Oh, race list down, 772.
00:53He crashes out of what, fourth position?
00:56Frentic start here on this opening lap.
00:58Absolutely, and Sascha, 13th through the first split, ahead of just Zanos and Lodi.
01:01He would have had an extra place there from Giannis falling.
01:04But, yeah, Sascha's given himself everything to do.
01:06So, Ferez didn't have to pass Kunin this time.
01:10So, with some work to do, Sascha Kunin.
01:13Well, that will be an advantage for Kevin McClellan.
01:15McClellan is there in that fourth position.
01:17So, he'll use this opportunity to try and claw back some of those points, because he said, coming into this
01:23weekend,
01:23his focus at the moment, whilst he has a mathematical chance of potentially being world champion when all is said
01:28and done,
01:29his focus at the moment, one step at a time.
01:31The guy in front, 12 points further ahead, coming into the weekend on Saturday.
01:35And that, of course, is Sascha Kunin.
01:36Now, if he can claw back some of those points lost yesterday from the qualifying race, where he lost three,
01:41where the gap now 15, coming into this one between those two,
01:43then, of course, that'll be a good, well-jump done.
01:46Anyway, this is a replay of Sascha Kunin jumping the gun at the start.
01:51He was just a little too eager.
01:54That almost caught out, Ferez, as well.
01:56It definitely hampered Ferez's efforts there, didn't it?
01:59But Kunin is tearing through the pack already, up to eighth place, just less than a second behind Maxime Groh.
02:04And breathe, Ben.
02:05See, I forgot to breathe that.
02:07Eighth now, he's actually got past someone else.
02:08So, yeah, he's through just behind Groh.
02:10Incredible.
02:11So, Ferez now nearly two seconds clear of this battle here.
02:14Simon Langenfolder, Liam Emmets there in third, McClellan fourth, about another one and a half,
02:17two seconds further back, almost.
02:19Then we've got Carsmakers in fifth on the Dixon Racing Team, Kawasaki.
02:24So, the Dutchman there in that fifth place.
02:25He's not got a lot of gap, though, to work with Mikula.
02:28Mikula on a 28 prototype bike with KTM, doing a lot of the legwork for them in race conditions.
02:34Groh there in seventh, Kunin eighth now.
02:36So, he's gone from 13th to eighth in the space of a first lap.
02:38And that's pretty impressive for him.
02:40But you'd expect nothing less from the Belgian, who is in a title fight then.
02:43Yeah, absolutely.
02:44I mean, Kunin, just desperation there.
02:46I mean, we talked about nerves.
02:47He talked about championship pressure.
02:49It hit Sascha straight away on the start.
02:51He knows how important it is to get the whole shot.
02:54And, yeah, obviously not going that way.
02:56But what aggression from Ferez.
02:57He went into turn two in fourth, came out of it, and the jump afterwards in the lead.
03:01Amazing aggression yet again.
03:03And we've seen that a couple of times over the course of the weekend.
03:05If you get the good run around the outside, you get the guys on the inside.
03:10They're kind of unsuspecting, and they go too defensive.
03:12And we saw it in the 125 race.
03:14We've seen it in the 250 race.
03:15I think we saw it in the quali race yesterday as well.
03:16So, yeah, it's a nice line if it works out for you.
03:19Yeah, everyone in 125 going wide as Kunin gets past Groh up to sixth now.
03:24So, Lukas Kunin on the charge, moves into sixth position with that pass on the Frenchman.
03:29So, Sascha Kunin then heading down the back straight, going after the man in orange, Julius Mikula, for fifth.
03:35Making light work of everybody around him in the early stages of this race,
03:37which is when you need to sort of react, when everyone is that little bit closer together.
03:44Yeah, it has to be done.
03:45Sascha, winner of the qualifying race and race one last year.
03:49Dropped back in race two to fourth.
03:51It wasn't a crash.
03:51It was a simple pace.
03:52We were just getting passed by other riders.
03:54But now he's got his head down.
03:55He's just got to get absolutely full gas to recover as many points as possible.
03:59Because Ferez is starting to march away.
04:01Fastest lap that time, although Langenfelder went slightly quicker.
04:04It'll be interesting to see what Kunin's laps are as well, because he's not going to be too far off.

04:14So Ferez and Kunin very evenly matched.

04:20It's just those hundreds and thousands of a second that separate them.
04:23And this is Kunin coming through a little bit of traffic.

04:26Yeah, absolutely, three hundredths of a second less than that between the laps times of both Ferez, Langenfelder and also
04:32Kunin.
04:32So, yeah, that's close.
04:34So at the start of the race you said, you spoke to Davide Ducali saying there's no way that Ferez
04:39will come past our man today.
04:42Well, didn't have to.
04:43Didn't have to, did he?
04:44He made that mistake all by himself.
04:46Was just a little bit too over calculating, if you like.
04:49Yeah.
04:49Just jumped the gun.
04:50Oh, he goes down as well.
04:53Over the bars.
04:55Is that his championship done?
04:56Oh, he's hurt.
04:58Holding that right shoulder.
05:02How many times, Sascha?
05:03How many times are you going to get away with it?
05:06Was he just in two different ruts on the face of the jump?
05:10He was making such good progress.
05:11But I'm not even going to say he was riding over himself because the lap times were the same as
05:16the guys ahead of him.
05:17Yeah.
05:17So it's not like he was going, you know, fastest lap after fastest lap to try and whittle down the
05:23gap.
05:23He was well within his limits.
05:24He just caught maybe an edge on the takeoff, but it's sent him over the bars.
05:29He may not even rejoin and finish this race here.
05:32Just watch it again.
05:33I want to see the other.
05:34We obviously know he's caught something, but that's a big jump.
05:37He goes down hard on that right shoulder.
05:39Cartwheels his way down the straight.
05:41He'll be winded as well ever so slightly.
05:43I want to see if we've got slightly before that where we will follow him coming out of the turn
05:47down that whole straight just at the point of takeoff.
05:52Because big crash for Sasha Coonan, and that is a massive sort of blow in terms of his championship aspirations.
06:00And it's thrown a spanner in the works in terms of that.
06:03But for Gim Ferez, who got himself out in front early, he's obviously in the best seat in the house
06:08once again, just doing what he needs to do.
06:10Getting those good starts, staying out of trouble.
06:12And when you're out of trouble, things like that generally don't happen.
06:15I'm not saying they don't, but generally they don't happen.
06:17Nothing on the board for Ferez about number 19.
06:19Nothing in the board about Coonan crashing.
06:22So interesting psychology there to make sure the spanner keeps focused on this race.
06:27But is that the bad shoulder, the right one?
06:29I can't remember which one it was that he heard it was the right one.
06:32So yeah, from that side, it's exactly the one he does not want to be landing on.
06:35You don't want to be landing on either one of them, but yeah, that's his worst case scenario.
06:39And even though it was on the same lap and there was no signal from the pit crew saying that
06:42Sascha Kunin was out of the race,
06:44Ferez just responds anyway with the fastest lap of the race, albeit by a couple of tenths of a second,
06:471.57.4.07.
06:49So for him and Triumph, of course, all things being well, they will just take the Achebis fastest lap at
06:54the end of this race.
06:55Depends on what happens in race two.
06:57Ferez, yeah.
06:57Sorry, you could not have painted a better picture for Ferez than this because, yeah, Kunin out.
07:01McLennan is behind Ebertsen-Langenfelder, the two riders that can really get in the way
07:06and help him build further that points advantage over his teammate,
07:09who, if it finishes like this, would be just three points shy of Sascha Kunin for second in the series.
07:16Yeah, Guilherme Ferez, like I say, couldn't have asked for a better start in the race here to this Turkish
07:22Grand Prix.
07:24He will now move to, what, 45 points clear at the head of the field.
07:29It wasn't that long ago, he was 41 points down.
07:32And he's chipped away, whittled it away, and he's kind of been very measured.
07:36You only have to look at the race wins, where they've come.
07:38He had a race win in Italy, Montevaki.
07:41Then he went and did the double in Portugal, South Africa, Great Britain.
07:44He went 1-2 in Czech Republic.
07:45May not have had a win in the last three rounds.
07:48Third, second, sixth, fourth, couple of thirds.
07:50But, you know what?
07:52The points that he picked up in Sweden after the qualifying race and fourth overall,
07:56how important now will those points be in the outcome of this championship?
08:02Had he not showed up that weekend, those points wouldn't even be on the table.
08:05Yeah, that's right.
08:05Had he called it a day after that big crash in the qualifying race,
08:08he wouldn't have picked up those 33 points.
08:11So, yeah, it would have been much, much closer.
08:13But the thing is, Sascha had the pressure.
08:15He knew he had to make ground up.
08:16There it is.
08:17There's the sign.
08:17Number 19 out.
08:18That's for McClellan, though.
08:20Oh.
08:20Letting McClellan know that he's out.
08:23And the second place in the championship is up for grabs.
08:25As we stand right now, hopefully we get word on Sascha Coonan.
08:29Obviously, we know he is not in the race.
08:31But that first view that we had when we saw the crash initially,
08:34when we were on the drone coming out of that turn four,
08:36over the single, over the double, on the point of takeoff,
08:38when the drone followed him,
08:40that was the point that we saw something was definitely wrong.
08:43We've had this view from this angle.
08:44We've had the back end of it from the drone.
08:47But the cleanest view was that first one initially
08:49when we saw did he just catch something and twitch in the ruts.
08:54And, of course, the problem for Sascha is being that little bit shorter there.
08:57He can't just hang the backside over the back guard,
08:59try and rescue the situation.
09:01There's that line that you saw there, Paul.
09:03The transfer for Everts is working for him in second place.
09:06Third place, sorry.
09:07Well, Perez now coming under pressure from Simon Langenfelder.
09:10Langenfelder, of course, who hasn't had a race win since, what, Italy?
09:16In Sardinia?
09:17Yeah, yeah, I'm talking back in April.
09:20Round three, round four, round four of the championship.
09:24A couple of qualifying wins.
09:26In fact, three qualifying wins there in South Africa, Foxhills,
09:28and also in Sweden.
09:29So the mystery that is Simon Langenfelder in 2026.
09:32The reigning champion, of course,
09:33looked so strong at the start of the year.
09:35The only rider on the first four podiums since then.
09:38It's kind of, wheels have fallen off.
09:39No injuries to report,
09:41although he's not turning out for Germany at the nation.
09:44So it tells you there might be some medical procedures going on.
09:47But there's also a mixture in his head about which class he's going to be in next year.
09:50It's still not confirming he can do one more year in MX2.
09:53Is he going to do that, or is he going to move up to the big class?
09:56Well, Guillem-Ferres still in control at the moment,
09:58but it's Simon Langenfelder with the fastest lap this time around.
10:00On lap four, 155.8 compared to a 156.6 of Feres.
10:04The rider, he is chasing down.
10:06The white carrot there with a big number 99 on his back.
10:10But this is good from Triumph Racing MX2 factory teams.
10:13Guillem-Ferres, his pre-grid interview at the start of the race,
10:17when he was asked,
10:18how do you can, you know, keep your emotions in check,
10:20knowing that you're in a position that you've never been before,
10:22potentially going for a first world title.
10:24Of course, in brackets, you can insert alongside Sasha Coonan and Camden McLernan.
10:30He says, just the people around me, you know,
10:31they keep telling me I keep doing what I'm doing.
10:33Nothing changes.
10:34The system changes.
10:37The training doesn't change.
10:38So he's just in that zone.
10:40And when you're in that zone, it takes a lot to shake you out of it.
10:46So we are going down a pit lane to KTM with Lisa.
10:51I think the conversation here at the moment is going to be
10:52about Simon Langenfelder in that second position.
10:55It'd be nice if we can get an update on Sasha Coonan, though,
10:57on the other side of that Red Bull garage with, you know, the Dakali crew.
11:01But anyway, let's go down a pit lane and let's hear what they have to say.
11:06We'll keep an eye on this battle in the meantime, though, as always.

11:11We see Simon in second.
11:12He looks like he's got a sense of urgency in his racing.
11:15He's really pushing for that race win.
11:16He hasn't had one for a while.
11:18Could this be this weekend?
11:20Yeah, definitely.
11:21He's been trying hard.
11:22It's not from a lack of hard work.
11:23He's been putting in the hours at home training.
11:26And, yeah, it's nice to see yesterday as well.
11:29He was lacking a little bit of that fire that he normally has.
11:32So it's good to see he has it back today.
11:33So hopefully he can bring home a good result.
11:35We had a weekend off after Arnhem.
11:36Any changes to the bike?
11:38Any changes in his program?
11:39Anything different this weekend?
11:41Honestly, no.
11:41I'd like to say yes, that we found something.
11:43But he's just, again, been relying on his hard work, ethics.
11:47And, yeah, relying on the system we have.
11:48He has a good base.
11:50So, again, let's hope he can bring it home in a good place.

11:56Yeah, still nothing in it between Perez and Langenfelder.
11:58Just, what, three quarters of a second between the 99 and the 1.
12:02The wannabe champion versus the defending champion here in race 1.
12:07Perez has been solid.
12:10Can't afford to leave any doors open, though.
12:11We saw what happens when you leave a door open just as Kai DeWolf a couple of years ago when
12:17he got shunted.
12:18I think he almost ended up in Affion.
12:20So hard did he get hit.
12:21And that's about three and a half hours down the road.
12:24So I think Perez will be mindful.
12:26Maybe he won't, actually.
12:26I don't know.
12:27Maybe he didn't watch that race.
12:28But Simon Langenfelder knows he's got a trick up his sleeve if he needs it.
12:31Yeah, for sure.
12:31That was a brutal move that sticks in the memory, for sure.
12:35Winner here last year, Simon Langenfelder, on his way to that title, of course.
12:39And now, well, he is over 100 points back.
12:41No, not quite.
12:42He was that far back.
12:43But, yeah, he's catching back up.
12:45He's, what, 80 points behind Perez now.
12:47So if he's got any aspirations of keeping the number one, he needs to really shift now.
12:52But Perez, I don't think he's going to let him do it without a fight.
12:56And every point is crucial.
12:57But at the same time, you know, it's if you feel that you're under pressure from the rider behind to
13:02the point where you're Guillain Perez and maybe just making one or two little errors, it's almost better just to
13:07sort of concede and not let him by.
13:10But let him take the pressure instead.
13:11And if you can find your way back towards the end of the race, great, but if this was the
13:14final race of the year, of course, then you go for it.
13:17If it was the title decider, you suck up that pressure, you soak it all up, and you hope that
13:21he doesn't find his way through.
13:23Langenfelder being a menace, though, to the championship leader and race leader here with about 16 minutes, 17 minutes plus
13:28two laps to go.
13:31Liam Evertz about three and a half, four seconds further back.
13:34McClellan hasn't advanced to the rear wheel of Evertz yet.
13:37He's still sat there in fourth place, about 1.2 seconds further back of the Belgian.
13:43But the big news is, Sascha Kunin out midway, well, not even midway, third of the way round lap two,
13:49when he skied himself off the city jump, got cross-rutted maybe, ended up over the bars, landed awkwardly on
13:54his shoulder, hasn't finished the race or hasn't rejoined the race.
13:57He's out.
13:58We don't even know if he's going to line up.
13:59And what a blow that would be for both the Kunin brothers, both potential world champions, and obviously both now
14:06picking up injuries that may rule out the only Kunin left in the championship.
14:10Yeah, absolutely. Is that Papa Freire's in the inset there? I haven't seen that chap before, but I would guess
14:14that would be Queen's father.
14:16Thierry Shuzat-Sezoni, the big boss from Triumph. He used to run the Factory Kawasaki team, the big Frenchman.
14:22And, of course, he is the big dog, the big cheese that overlooks everybody there, Vincent Braini and all of
14:28the mechanics and staff down there at Triumph.
14:31I apologize for the wrong lady.
14:35But he is enjoying his season, absolutely, without question.
14:42Keeping an eye on Ferez and McClellan, of course, two Triumph riders and two Triumph riders hoping that the British
14:51manufacturer can bring them a world championship in their third year of professional racing.
14:57Still a very new project, you say, three years compared to how long KJM have been around and the Japanese
15:02have been around.
15:04It would be impressive if they can lift the championship, but we still have three rounds to go.
15:10And Langenfelder looking for a way around the outside.
15:14Can't cut to the inside here, but he is now starting to show a wheel or two to Ferez, who
15:20we've seen has been very solid even in these situations in the past.
15:24He'll just have one eye, half an ear on what's going on around him.
15:27So he'll know that he can react ever so slightly.
15:30He'll know that Langenfelder's alongside him now.
15:31He won't get involved in any unnecessary skirmish.
15:34He'll stay right the way to the outside in this final turn, get the wheels down early.
15:38Langenfelder nicks through right at the end of lap seven, takes over the lead.
15:42And now it's Ferez's turn to follow.
15:44And it may just be a bit of a ploy at this stage of the race.
15:47Doesn't need to be put under pressure where he makes the mistake and ends up like a Sacha Kunin situation.
15:51Yeah, interesting how he didn't take that double into that corner.
15:54It's quite a long double there.
15:56You see very few riders making it in the 125.
15:58Even some of the 250 riders here are trying to get over it.
16:00And Ferez then, maybe a slight reset.
16:02Okay, Simon's gone past.
16:04He knows that Simon is perhaps his least likely title threat.
16:09So, yeah, he's just letting him go maybe now.
16:12And then I'm sure he won't roll over.
16:14You know, he could well attack again.
16:15Take a look at the start again then.
16:17It all started to go wrong here for Sacha Kunin.
16:19He went too early, hit the gate.
16:22Maybe trying to get the jump on Ferez and try and muscle his way across into that first turn
16:27and scupper the chances of the number 99.
16:30But it would get worse for him.
16:31It was Langerfelder with the foxhole shot then as he streaked past everybody.
16:35And for Simon Langerfelder here, we'll get a clearer view of it.
16:38Langerfelder at seven now in the books for the German.
16:44And Kunin on the start of lap two made this massive error on takeoff.
16:50Went down hard on that shoulder from sixth place.
16:56And he's out of this first race here in Affion.
17:02So, Simon Langerfelder then.

17:07Got one in race two.
17:08So, he hasn't had too long to wait.
17:09That was in Arnhem last time out.
17:13Of course, that shoulder for Kunin is the one with all the metalwork on it from the crash in the
17:17USA.
17:18So, yeah, it's exactly what he would not have wanted.
17:21And we just hope that A, he's okay.
17:24And B, he'd be able to line up and continue this title fight.
17:26But otherwise, yeah, absolute disaster.
17:28Giannis Raceless, just a few moments ago, found his way past Carsmakers.
17:31He's now going after Maxim Groh here.
17:33This is the fight for sixth position between the Latvian and the Frenchman.
17:37The Honda, the Maddie Honda Racing ABF Italia rider there in red and black.
17:41And, of course, the 772 Monster Energy Yamaha of Giannis Raceless.
17:46Giannis recovering from that first lap crash.
17:48Doing so well up in seventh place.
17:50And a shout out to Judas Nikula in fifth place.
17:52It's one of the best rides in recent weeks for the Czech rider.
17:55Yeah, he got a fourth, didn't he, in race two in Trentino.
17:59That was his best result of the year at that point.
18:03Simon Langenfelder ahead of these two as we complete lap eight.
18:07Sets another fastest lap.
18:08Back-to-back fast laps then for the German, the defending champ.
18:113.4 seconds clear now he is at Perez, who I'm sure by now has had a message say that
18:15Kunin is out.
18:17And it's all about risk management, isn't it?
18:19You know, you manage the risk how you can.
18:22And if you're in that situation where all of a sudden, you know, you're, oh, look at that.
18:27Raceless charges down the inside.
18:28That's where he's so super slick, super smooth.
18:30Up the inside of Groh, makes the pass for sixth place.
18:33Does Giannis Raceless?
18:36Talking about managing the risk.
18:39Perez knows he doesn't have to win the race when his closest rival isn't even in the race.
18:43Yes, he'll still be classed with six points.
18:46So it's not like a 22 and a zero because of how many laps he would have done.
18:49He would have completed that first lap.
18:52So he'll still pick up points.
18:55But even still, if you don't need to take the risk, don't.
18:58But if he was leading and going away from everybody and still had another gear to spare,
19:02then of course he's just going to go on and try and dominate the race as he has done on
19:05so many occasions.
19:06Yeah, absolutely. He will know that Langenfelder is the one that's least likely to catch him in amongst the top
19:11four in the series.
19:12McClellan behind him and, of course, Camden has his own hands full here with an informant Liam Evertz.
19:18Who are strong in all conditions, of course, but particularly the throttle control,
19:21the smoothness of the Belgian rider there is able to deliver this one.
19:26But, yeah, whether or not McClellan can get past him or not remains to be seen.
19:31Yeah, the gap still hovering, isn't it?
19:331.2, 1.5, 1.7, back and forth between Evertz, McClellan.
19:38Here is Evertz, there is McClellan.
19:39The gap a little bit less than that now.
19:419.10, so he's obviously had the hurry-up from the crew down there.
19:45Or he's found a couple of lines that seem to be working better for him.
19:48And the setup of the motorcycle, you just never know.
19:50So you can go inside in a corner, because we're at altitude, you have it set for a certain way
19:54and whatever else.
19:55Maybe you just haven't got the pickup where you need it, but maybe you need to ride more momentum with
20:00those lines.
20:00Maybe that's what he's having to do here, just to sort of make up that ground to the Huswana rider.
20:06It may just be that he's just starting to grow with the track as well.
20:09So it can be a lot of anything, really, for Camden McClellan.
20:12But he put his best lap of the race in there a moment ago on lap 9.
20:156.10 quicker than Evertz.
20:16He's got the gap down to just over a second.
20:18He can see the Belgian now ahead of him on the Nostanus Varner.
20:21Evertz in a good run of form at the moment with back-to-back podiums the last two rounds.
20:25Two second-place finishes.
20:27Of course, he would love to leave Turkey with another one, three in a row, if he could.
20:32And he doesn't mind about the championship battle going on between Ferrer, Sacha Kuhn, and the man behind him, number
20:37eight, Camden McClellan.
20:38He's just focusing on his own thing, trying to finish as strongly as possible.
20:42He's got that transfer really nice through there, skipping over.
20:45He is feeling the pressure, Evertz, because he scrubbed us that little bit too much on the finish line jump
20:49there.
20:50Landed slightly short, got a squirrelly one on, but ultimately he's able to hold off here.
20:54But, yeah, for Camden McClellan, he's actually finished seventh and eighth in the two races in each of the last
20:59two GPs at Affion.
21:00So this is by far his best showing at this circuit.
21:03But he obviously wants more because he's trying to get up in the series.
21:07But, yeah, three points behind Kuhn, and if he finishes like this, of course, that would be down to one
21:10point if he manages to get past Evertz here.
21:13Yeah, well, when you look at that, seventh and eighth in both of his races on his previous visits,
21:17maybe a track that he's not overly sort of familiar with or maybe not one of his favorite tracks.
21:22And so to see him here in fourth position, knocking on the door for third,
21:25yes, clearly one of his best performances around here.
21:29And maybe that's the switch that will just make things happen in race two.
21:32Yeah, I mean, it is a circuit that rewards a good starter.
21:36And for all of McClellan's attributes, you must say that's probably not his strong point.
21:41Good through there, though.
21:42Nice to hit that double properly.
21:44Catches a little bit back up on Liam.
21:46I was just watching Langenfelder sweep through that long first turn down past Pitt Lane
21:50and looking at the gap that he now has over Ferez.
21:52More than five seconds over the lead triumph rider.

21:59So that gap back and forth, these two sort of held together,
22:02tied together with a bungee cord, it seems, at the moment.
22:05Evertz just pulls away and then he just snaps back into use,
22:09pulls him back onto the rear wheel.
22:11And then Evertz kind of looks over his shoulder, isn't that?

22:16I wonder what that A means on the triumph board.
22:18It's been there next to the normal message.
22:19Obviously, go now, don't wait, all that stuff.
22:21But there still remains that A on the board.
22:23I wonder what that means.
22:28Circuit just starting to improve in its condition.
22:31Obviously, a little bit of water going on here and there
22:34throughout the course of the day.
22:35But you can just sort of see, yeah, one or two shiny areas,
22:38blue groove areas on jump takeoffs.
22:40But there's also a nice bit of traction in one or two areas.
22:43I did speak to Geoffrey Hurlings, actually, in the break
22:45after the warm-up session to ask about the track.
22:47He said yesterday it was very rutty, very Teuschenthal-esque,
22:50you know, with deep ruts, tram lines that we've had over the past
22:53where once you sort of got locked in,
22:55he said it's a lot more open today, the track.
22:57So maybe more passing opportunity for the racing a little bit later on.
23:02But it is now, obviously, you know, still quite quick, as you can see.
23:06Not too many accelerating bumps, not too many braking bumps.
23:08Hopefully, that develops as the day goes on
23:10towards the end of the race in race two.
23:13But the riders, I don't think they'll complain about that too much
23:15in terms of if you're the leader pulling away Simon Langenfelder.
23:19There's no technical element about that.
23:21Just work on what you do, and that's it.
23:24Ferez not too worried about it either.
23:25He's got a three-second advantage over the battle behind him.
23:29You can see that shot of carsmakers there from the drone shot.
23:32The side number plate hanging off of the DRT Kawasaki.
23:35He'll be hoping, if that's the limit to his mechanical issues in this race,
23:39that that'll be happy.
23:40This was the pass for the lead into the final turn
23:45at the end of lap seven.
23:49Langenfelder got himself in that commanding position,
23:51hung off the back of that KTM, and that was the gap.
23:53That was the pass over the Spaniard there.
23:55He jumped across the right as well just to sort of secure that inside,
23:59but I think Ferez maybe half expected that as well.
24:02This is McClellan now all over the back of Liam Evans.
24:04This is the battle for third in the race.
24:06And another couple of points for McClellan in the championship fight
24:09that he has with Sasha Coonan, who crashed not here, but on the face.
24:13And this was the angle that we had originally
24:15where we saw Coonan go out of the race.
24:18That's the one I want to see again.
24:20But Cameron McClellan here, exactly where he needs to be now,
24:23applying the pressure to Liam Evans.
24:26Both riders will look for the inside line here.
24:30It's the shortest route through.
24:31Unless you go to the outside, you're not getting over that triple.
24:33So what you lose going around the outside,
24:35you may as well just sort of stay on the inside anyway
24:37and double single your way through it.
24:41Six and a half seconds now.
24:44Langenfelder has over Ferez, who's just passed our screen through that corner.
24:51McClellan trying to dig deep.
24:52He would have been frustrated after his fifth in the qualifying race yesterday
24:56with kind of lacking a little bit of pace
24:58and maybe a little bit of urgency.
25:01But he's in a good position here to try
25:03and sort of change the shape of his championship for 2026
25:06if he can find his way past the Belgian ahead of him.
25:08He pressured Langenfelder for the early part of the qualifying race
25:11but then fell back to, at the end, nine seconds behind the Germans.
25:14So, yeah, it wasn't particularly an impressive ride
25:17but, yeah, they would have worked on it, done what they can
25:19and right now he is pressuring Evertz
25:21with five minutes plus two laps to go
25:23and looking like he could make a pass here.
25:26Stays nice and low to the outside.
25:28He's going to cut back over to his left
25:31and run it into the outside over this double single
25:33as Evertz goes defensive.
25:35Can he find a way through?
25:36Evertz very efficient through the turns.
25:38A little bit untidy there for McClellan
25:39as he jumped out of one route into another on the exit
25:42and another let-off for the 26
25:44who is just doing a great job of holding his own here.
25:47Soaking up all of the pressure.
25:49Give all.
25:49That's the message for Evertz.
25:53Sits down at the last minute into that turn, turn two.
25:59Definitely frustrating the South African here, though.
26:05Coming back for more, though.
26:06Running in a little bit wider,
26:07trying to carry that momentum.
26:10Seems to have good drive coming out of that.
26:12Second part of that left turn as well, turn four.
26:16Byron Dennis was tripling into here yesterday
26:18and then railing the outside in EMX 250.
26:20I don't think I've seen.
26:21I've seen a couple of MXGP riders do it,
26:25but not too many MX2 riders.
26:26They've been opting to sort of go double single to the inside.
26:29And even when they have gone double single
26:31and gone to the outside,
26:33why not just get that extra little bit?
26:35Nail it.
26:36I mean, it's difficult on these machines,
26:37obviously at altitude as well,
26:38but like I say,
26:39if you've got a young Aussie and EMX 250 doing the job,
26:42then surely one of these guys must be capable of that.
26:46just as we were a lap ago.
26:48Evertz, McClellan,
26:49still fighting over that third place.
26:51McClellan a little bit cleaner out of that turn.
26:53Didn't go into the deep rut right at the exit point.
26:56Hasn't made any difference,
26:57so in the greater scheme of things,
26:59Evertz still maintaining what is a slender
27:01eight-tenths of a second over the number eight here on the Triumph.
27:07Tries to cut the turn a little bit early there as well.
27:10Saw Langenfelder do that earlier on in the race
27:12as he was closing in on Ferez
27:14when Langenfelder was in second,
27:16and Ferez was leading.
27:19There's a few battles developing on track as well.
27:22Mikula is going to have Viannis races for company very soon,
27:24just 1.6 seconds between those two
27:26in a battle for fifth,
27:27and grow,
27:28and cars make us not too far apart either.
27:30Still eight-tenths as they hit the line
27:32at the end of lap 13 between these two.
27:34Ed McClellan was cleaner that time around.
27:39And nicely done through there as well.
27:41Again, pulling another tenth or two back here and there.
27:46Can he run it in to the outside
27:47in this next turn here,
27:48just generate a little bit more speed
27:50while both riders have the same thing in mind.
27:53Again, McClellan just slightly more efficient
27:55through there on that occasion.
27:59and the gap now,
28:01six-tenths.
28:04Doesn't want to throw away this opportunity,

28:07Has Everts right where he wants him.
28:12Going to try and rail the outside here,
28:14stay out of those accelerating bumps
28:15on the inside.
28:16Gets a good run on Everts as well,
28:18who takes a nervous look over his shoulder.

28:22and he does.
28:26He'll see the transfer line here.
28:31And McClellan may even use that next time around.
28:34But you see the danger.
28:36One rider believes he can go around the outside.

28:43Yeah, Everts only just rejoining that line

28:47Nearly clipped the front mudguard off the Triumph.
28:49So, yeah, it's close,

28:51McClellan cannot get through this Everts guard.

28:58that gap back out to 9 tenths.

29:02As he digs deep,
29:03gains another two or three tenths
29:05over McClellan.
29:07His fastest sector of the entire race
