01:10still testing the boundaries of the racetrack here,
01:13Langenfelder goes to the inside,
01:15does he leave the door open there, lose out of position, no, he's still there,
01:18all over the back of the German, he's going to go around the outside here,
01:20no, follows him in there as well,
01:22as Rachelis looks to get at the inside of the 99 in that fifth place,
01:25McClellan in sixth now.
01:28Evertz,
01:29fourth in race one,
01:31lost third in that particular corner in the latter stage with a couple of laps to go,
01:34as Ferez nips up the inside of Langenfelder, your race one winner.
01:39and he knows he's got his main rival ahead of him,
01:41two positions ahead of him,
01:43and that's going to be a five-point gain from the 19 if he stays where he is of course,
01:46but we are still at the end of this opening unofficial first lap,
01:49finish line to finish line before you get registered to the lap,
01:51and we're approaching the line just out of this next left-hander.
01:55But certainly,
01:56Guillem Ferez just riding as he has done throughout the year,
02:00with that cool calm composure,
02:02and as the sun starts to drop as they head every time in this direction,
02:05he moves into second position and goes after Sasha Coonan.
02:10Oh, Coonan somehow stays up on two wheels,
02:13just as too much at the rear wheel,
02:14backhand came around on him,
02:16he had to use that little left leg to prop him up,
02:19and again at the end of the opening lap,
02:21Giannis Raceless with a problem on that Monster Energy Yamaha.
02:27And Ilihi looks like he's out of the running as well,
02:29unfortunate for the 772 from Latvia.
02:32All eyes on this battle though,
02:33how wounded is Sasha Coonan?
02:36Well, don't ask the 99er,
02:38Ferez, that he won't care one iota.
02:40He had his own troubles in Sweden in the qualifying race,
02:43remember,
02:44where he was very nearly forced to not even line up for the GP.
02:49So the trials and tribulations and the swings back and forth
02:52at the top of this championship in MX2 in 2026
02:54have been spiraling out of control at times,
02:57and we're getting another seesaw battle here between the top two in the championship.
03:02Coonan continues to lead,
03:03Ferez with Evertz there in third,
03:05Lagerfelder just off the back of them in fourth.
03:07Sasha Coonan sketchy through that split lane there,
03:10he took the option of riding over the ridge in the middle.
03:12Well, now then, here's the test.
03:13Davide DiCali told me that this pass from Ferez
03:16was not going to happen today.
03:17Well, there was no option of that happening in race one
03:19because, of course, Sasha hit the gate,
03:20but now Ferez pressuring,
03:22and there's the difference.
03:23Evertz was able to hold back McLennan for lap after lap in race one.
03:26In comparison, Ferez, tenacious, aggressive,
03:28especially in the early laps,
03:30got through pretty much quickly straight away.
03:31And I think the reason for that is,
03:33obviously, you look at Guillem Ferez on his Triumph,
03:35of course, the Triumph Racing MX2 factory machine.
03:38He's got to be a few kilos lighter than Camden McLennan.
03:41Camden's taller.
03:42He's bigger, therefore, he's going to be heavier,
03:44and trying to get the bike set up accordingly for both those guys,
03:48you're at altitude as well,
03:49so you're already losing a little bit,
03:50maybe 5% of your performance on the engine this weekend.
03:53Technicians having to work around the clock
03:54just to get on top of that performance,
03:56not just that team, but all the guys as well.
03:59And so that's maybe the biggest difference for Camden.
04:01Once he's up and running, Ferez charges into the outside.
04:05Is it done yet? Yes, it is.
04:08And he does make the move right at the start of lap two.
04:11Sasha Kunin's going to come back, swing it.
04:14Ferez keeps him back there, though.
04:15Oh, there's a problem there for Kunin.
04:17He goes into pit lane.
04:20He's holding this, well, he's holding his left arm.
04:22Oh.
04:23Is that all?
04:25And he's decided, you know what?
04:27I'm not strong enough to hold on, and that's it.
04:29His championship is done and dusted, I think, for 2026.
04:34Ferez came by him, and that was a psychological blow
04:36that he didn't need.
04:36If it was McClellan, he may still be out there on track.
04:39If it was Everts, if it was Langenfelder.
04:41But the fact that it was Ferez, and he's got nothing for him
04:43in this second race, I think that was the warning sign,
04:47and that was all it took for Sasha Kunin to withdraw from this race.
04:51Well, he had the moment out of that corner in the previous lap,
04:53so maybe that wrenched something, and then he just tried to hold on.
04:56But to pull in like that, as instantly as that, shocking.
05:00I really can't, I really don't know what to make of that.
05:03I mean, yeah, okay, if you're hurting, I get it.
05:05But, like, you know, if you stay out there, you've got six points.
05:07So, you know, it's so strange, but that is horrendous.
05:12And it looks like Giannis Resilis' race is done as well.
05:14He's going to say he's going to gain seven points anyway
05:16because he's done a lap.
05:17He's going to pick up seven points because Giannis Resilis,
05:20disqualification for accepting outside assistance.
05:22So maybe he got bump started and all the rest of it from Marshall.
05:25They're not allowed to do that.
05:26So in those situations, Giannis Resilis,
05:29well, does he may as well just park the bike
05:31and just stick it in the crate and send it to China
05:34because he can't, he's disqualified.
05:36So he can't do any better than 15th and six points.
05:38So that's it. He's not going to get, you know, up the leaderboard.
05:41And even if he did, they then got to counter argue that.
05:44They've got to protest that situation.
05:45We've not seen the footage.
05:47The FIM are out on track in several parts.
05:49So maybe they've seen something that we haven't.
05:51And depending on where it was on the racetrack,
05:52for that to happen, of course, will determine
05:54who saw what, when and how long for.
05:56But at the moment, yeah, Giannis Resilis disqualified.
05:59Do we see him continue as Lukas Kunin did in Switzerland?
06:04Oh, here we are.
06:04So this is what we saw here, him trying to get it going.
06:07And then who does he get the outside assistance from?
06:09And he called, yeah, for the pushing.
06:12And the marshal there, well, that's it.
06:14Almost gets a kick in the face for his efforts.
06:17Well, if you ask for that, that is asking for trouble, literally.
06:20So, yeah.
06:20Yeah, there's no getting away from that.
06:21No, they might as well pit-board that.
06:23And, yeah, get him in and save that motor
06:25for the rest of the, rest of the season.
06:27So, Ferez then leads.
06:29He's just set the fastest lap of the race.

06:31He's nearly two seconds clear of Evertz.
06:33Evertz eyeing up his third podium in three rounds
06:37with a third overall here at the moment.
06:39Ferez would go to the top with a second and a first.
06:42Langenfelder would be second with a win and a third.
06:44Third would be Evertz with a 4-2.
06:46And McClellan would be fourth at the moment.
06:47He's only two adrift of Evertz though,
06:49so he can still make his way on to that third step of the podium.
06:52We're getting ready to go down to pit lane
06:53and grab a quick word with Lisa
06:55because, obviously, she's got some info for us down there.

06:59Or maybe it's to do with Sasha Coonan
07:02who just withdrew a few moments ago.
07:04Anyway, let's go down to pit lane and see the latest with Lisa.
07:09Yeah, we just saw Red Bull KTM Factory MX2 rider
07:12Sasha Coonan retire from the race.
07:14I just grabbed a quick word with Valentina Ragni from KTM.
07:17Saying, oh, what is the problem?
07:18Could he not manage?
07:19And, honestly, she said they're actually quite surprised.
07:23When he got the start he just did, did a couple of laps,
07:26they actually thought actually he could be a surprise
07:28and he could hold on for the rest of the race.
07:30But all questions down here.
07:33We know that he had food poisoning coming into the weekend.
07:35We saw the mistake at the start from that first race.
07:37So he wasn't 100% anyway.
07:39But we can only assume that move Ferez made on him there for the lead,
07:43a psychological blow for Sasha Coonan.
07:46So it's a difficult day for him and also for their championship fight.
07:52Thank you for that update.
07:54Yeah, just thinking about it, actually.
07:57Yannis Raceless in 14th.
07:59He won't pick up those seven points because a DQ is going to be zero point,
08:02nil point, as they say in the Eurovision wrong song contest.
08:09So, yeah, so he may as well just park it because nothing else to fight for in this particular race
08:14in that instance.
08:15So, yeah, the team should just get him out of the race, get it stripped, get it stuck in the
08:18box and send it to China.
08:20Yeah, say cheerio, and that would put Coonan up to 14th for this race in the official classification.
08:26So, seven points for the Belgian, but that is nowhere near enough when you've got Ferez marching to 25.
08:31And actually, I wonder how much of that is a case of, yeah, try and stay out as long as
08:35possible.
08:35You know, the team tactics.
08:37Yeah, he didn't finish race one, but he picked up a handful of points.
08:40Here is that challenge for the lead that came up a moment ago.
08:44Ferez doubling his way in.
08:45Sasha Coonan looks across helplessly.
08:47And then as we go through this right into the left, Coonan thought about making his run down the inside.
08:54But as we got to the first turn, he's all intent here.
08:57But then he just stands up and then just goes, you know what?
09:01There's the entrance to pit lane. I'm done.
09:04I can come away with six or seven points.
09:06It will now be seven points.
09:08And maybe there was method in the madness there.
09:11Why run yourself into the ground if you're feeling sick?
09:13Just back some points while you have the opportunity and get on a plane, get home, get well.
09:19And maybe you still have a shot because how much more damage would he have done if he had stayed
09:23out there and just ran himself into the ground?
09:25How hard would he have had to push to even finish fifth or sixth or seventh or eighth?
09:30You know, and sometimes champions have to dig deeper than that just to get points.
09:33So only they know and only Sasha Coonan knows on the bike how he's feeling and the reason why he
09:38pulled in.
09:39Or if there was a discussion prior, Evertz almost out the front door using his slightly longer legs than Sasha
09:47Coonan just to save it.
09:49There's a kicker there over on the left hand side.
09:52Fortunately for him, it wasn't as big a jump as the tabletop there that he hit next.
09:56A couple of moments.
09:58And yeah, to your point there on that one, Paul, I mean the effort as well of taking part in
10:03this race, trying to push it as he does naturally.
10:06He's a competitor, a ferocious one.
10:08And of course, he pushes too hard when he's not physically weak, then you risk another big crash around this
10:13circuit.
10:13As we can see, it can bite you at any time as it has one of the most precise riders
10:17in Liam Evans just there.
10:18Ferez with another fastest lap.
10:20He's getting closer to the turbo's fastest lap from race one, which was in the 54s.
10:24He's currently 55.965.
10:26Will there be any more speed in the racetrack in the latter stages?
10:29He is chasing the time about a second quicker.
10:31154.835, which was Langenfelder on lap eight in the first race.
10:36Ferez putting his fast lap in on lap four last time around.
10:43But it's looking good at the moment for the Triumph Racing MX2 factory rider, Guillaume Ferez, of course.
10:50Who's now going to go 50 points clear at the top of the championship.
10:52Camden McClellan will move to second.

10:58Would be 7.46, wouldn't it, with the disqualification?
11:01So yeah, 10 points further back from McClellan.

11:19And our first race winner, Langenfelder, still now.

11:30Another question mark on the strange 2026 story of Simon Langenfelder.
11:34But what about this fella?
11:35An amazing ride so far.
11:37Kaj Karsmakers up in fifth in the opening laps.
11:40Brilliant to see.
11:40Yeah, he got his best overall result in Sardinia round four.
11:43Seventh overall in what is only a handful of top ten overall finishes.
11:47He was eighth the week before that in Switzerland.
11:49Eighth again in Trentino.
11:50He had ninth and eighth in Germany and Latvia.
11:54Ninth in Portugal.
11:55And obviously if he comes away here fifth in the standings.
11:58He's tied though in a three-way tie.
12:00He's on 29 with Groh and Julius Miekela behind him.
12:04And Zippy looks on from pit lane.

12:09But this would be his best.
12:11He's never finished in the top five in a GP race before.

12:45Got himself up to six.
12:46And then about a third of the way through.
12:47Got passed by Giannis Raceless.
12:49And was dumped down to seventh place.
12:51He's now dealing with the other Raceless.
12:52The 47 of Carlos.
12:54Who is breathing down his neck now as he battles for six.
12:57And actually, Carlos Raceless.

13:01He started eighth.
13:01Got up to seventh.
13:02And then eventually faded down to ninth place.

13:12Just kind of on the run towards the finish line area.

13:20And coming from Latvia, obviously they're going to feel that.
13:22Even more so than maybe anywhere else.
13:23But anyway, I wonder if the riders are going through that.
13:26Giannis Raceless is still on track.
13:28Look, he's moved up to 13th for all of his efforts.
13:32So Lodi's even going to sort of gain a point at the end of it all.
13:35Yeah, we've got some of the Baltic members of our crew who definitely hate the heat.
13:39And yeah, that could be the case.
13:41Even though Giannis, even though Carlos has gone full Turkish this weekend with a spectacularly cropped hairdo.

14:15So nothing slowing him down as he goes 4.6 seconds clear of Everts after six laps.
14:19We're now into lap seven.
14:21Langenfelder there in third, about another one and a half further back.
14:23McClellan not able to put his factory machine to good use in this race.
14:28He's there in fourth place.
14:29And that's going to be fourth overall in the classification.
14:32That's going to be the first time off the box as well in six races.
14:35A run of five podiums in a row.
14:37A third in Fox Hills, Great Britain.
14:39Second in Czech Republic.
14:40A win in Lomel.
14:41A third in Sweden.
14:42A win in the Netherlands two weekends ago.
14:44It's going to be one step shy of that here with fourth overall if things stay as they are in
14:49the second race.
14:50And yeah, Julius Micheler just wanted to notice there.
14:52Of course, fifth in race one.
14:53We saw him celebrate with the fist bump over the line there.
14:55And he was outside the top ten on the first lap.
14:58So Julius not getting a great start and he's a little bit further back now.
15:01Just over three seconds shy of Carlos Reis.
15:03And he's back in eighth place.
15:05Which would set him up for seventh overall on a massive points tie.
15:07Three riders tied on 29 points for fifth in the GP.
15:11Which would at the moment go to Castmakers on the second race tie break ahead of Groh and Nicola.
15:16Well, let's take another look at the start then and see how this one burst into life.
15:20Over on the right side.
15:20They held it a long time.
15:22Good jump from Sascha Kunen.
15:23And it was the Belgian who just launched his way through the first turn.
15:27His 15th foxhole shot of the campaign.
15:30And, of course, that means now he probably can't be caught with the remaining races still to come.
15:35I think he tied that one up in Arnhem, hadn't he?
15:37Yeah, I think so.
15:39But it will be Nicola picking that one up again, I suspect.
15:4249 now in his career.
15:45His last game in race one in Arnhem.
15:48Just two weekends ago, round ago.
15:53So Langenfelder in shot right now.
15:56It's just a couple of seconds shy of Liam Everett.
15:58So the Belgian can't relax.
15:59The team urge him to push.
16:01P1 equals possible, they say.
16:03And they might be referring to Ferez out in front because he might, well, not buckle, but maybe just give
16:08way as he did in race one.
16:09Obviously through sensibility's sake.
16:11Well, we assume he gave way.
16:13Because obviously he probably got a board signal to say that Kunen was out and didn't need to have the
16:17pressure from Langenfelder.
16:19True.
16:20But Langenfelder rode very, very well.
16:22So if you ask Langenfelder, you'll say, no, I had him on the ropes and I made the pass and
16:25I pulled away and won quite comfortably.
16:26So two sides of the coin and two sides of the argument.
16:30Yeah, he's quick enough.
16:31But he did ride real well.
16:32Langenfelder in that first race.
16:33Yeah, he's so accurate at times.
16:35His pace is just here again.
16:36But to win the GP, he has to pass Ferez as well.
16:39So, yeah, six and a half seconds is that gap that he's got to make up to do that.
16:43But there is time.
16:44We'll see what he can do to pour on the coals in the second half of this race.

16:54Guillem-Ferez continues to lead.

17:08And then we have the number eight here of Camden McClellan, who's six seconds down on the German Langenfelder now.
17:13And as he stays there, if he stays there for the remainder of the race, of course, he will just
17:18miss out on the podium by two points.
17:20So if he can get his act into gear and find another pass worth two points, that'll put him on
17:25the podium and Langenfelder just behind him in fourth place.
17:28So a lot on the line between Langenfelder and McClellan. Langenfelder has just had the board signal to go after
17:33Evertz and Ferez.
17:34The win is possible. They tell him down there in pit lane.
17:37So a lot of signals coming down there from the that pit straight.
17:42But it's Ferez who is sitting pretty at the moment.
17:465.2 seconds clear of the Belgian Evertz.
17:50Yeah, this is a return to the Ferez we saw in that four GP winning streak, just completely bossing things.
17:56Massive early lap aggression again to make up for any deficit in the start.
18:01There wasn't much. Need more is a message to Cam.
18:03And yeah, he is strong, but he has got work to do, of course.
18:07Yeah, that podium streak on the line.
18:10But even more than that is the championship gap now.
18:12But let's have a word for triumph.
18:14One and two it would be if it stays like this.
18:16In fact, well, it is going to because Sasha's right at the back there.
18:19But one and two in the championship for triumph.
18:21You know, they've gone seven times on a double podium this year.
18:24Three times a one, two. It's been an amazing year for that squad.
18:29Well, here's Cameron McClellan and behind him in fifth place, sixth and seventh.
18:36This one here for fifth is Carsmakers and Maxim Groh.
18:41So the Dixon Racing Team, Kawasaki, the lead rider in shot, or it should be on the number 33, Green
18:47Machine.
18:48And then the rider in red for Honda Maddie Racing, ABF Italia.
18:52He is next in sixth position and they burst into life just here.
18:56But a good ride this from Kai Carsmakers.
18:59Not his favoured surface, not his favoured conditions, of course, the Sandman.
19:03But he's making it his own, if you like, at the moment here.
19:07Good ride in race one, in eighth.
19:09And obviously this ride here in fifth is going to give him fifth place overall.
19:13But he's still in that three-way tie situation with Groh, the rider that's behind him there in red, who
19:17will leapfrog him.
19:18And Julius Miekela, who currently in eighth, 2.3 seconds behind Carlos Raceless.
19:23So two things can kick Carsmakers off the podium, off that fifth place.
19:28And that's going to be the rider in red, Maxim Groh finding his way by, or Julius Miekela finding his
19:32way past Carlos Raceless for seventh place.
19:35Yeah, these two riders, both of them going for their first ever top five GP overall finish.
19:40That's how Carsmakers would do.
19:41Surprising to see when I look things up for this GP that Carsmakers has actually raced here four times.
19:462022 was his first time.
19:48He went back to EMX 250, got on the podium there with second overall in 2023.
19:53And then, yeah, his best GP since then has been, actually, he hasn't gone better than the 11th he picked
19:58up in that first year.
19:59So it would be great even for him to get a top ten here.
20:02So it could go from a very grim Saturday to a delightful Sunday for the young Dutchman.
20:08Steve Dixon and the crew will be hanging over the board.

20:26I seem to remember you getting one at Hawkstone back when I was trackside there as a kid.
20:29I think support race for the GP, 91 maybe.
20:32There was a message saying, Dob, you can.
20:34You probably don't remember that.
20:35It was quite a while ago.
20:3692 I rode the support class there for the GP, 500, because I rode 91 in the 500 Grand Prix.
20:4392 I rode 250 and there was a weekend off.
20:45And ace past Alec Wright wanted me to line up on the 500,
20:48which I've not ridden since the final round of the Championship or the Nations at Valkenswide in 91.
20:53I'd been riding on the 250 all year then.
20:55And he obviously thought, well, just jump back on the 500 ace.
20:57Being seized at the top of the hill, first lap of practice.
21:00Went out on my practice bike.
21:02Suspension blew midway through that race.
21:04Wrenched my ankle ligaments and my knee ligaments in the same leg.
21:07As I g'd out through a rut when the shock went.
21:11So yeah, if I did get a board signal.
21:14I don't think I remember it.
21:16The best I did get though was from Kev Morris, my mechanic.
21:21P45 at a British Championship.
21:24Yes, for those not in the know, that basically means you're fired.
21:28Fantastic.
21:29Or I may as well be.
21:30Yeah.
21:31Well, Yannis is staying on track there, 12th, even though he's got the disqualification board.
21:35So Yamaha not signalling him in.
21:37Obviously confident in their engines, perhaps.
21:39But yeah, surprise him.
21:41But like you say, it's gonna be very difficult to debate that one, isn't it?
21:44Because it's clear as the nose on your face.
21:46Well, I haven't got a big nose.
21:48I knew you'd turn it to something.
21:49Anyway, Perez extending his lead.
21:52And he is looking at another Grand Prix victory here in 2026.
21:57As he extends his lead as it stands right now to 50 points over his closest pursuer.
22:03Remember, he arrived here 25 ahead of Sasha Coonan.
22:05That went out to 26 after the qualifying race.
22:08From when we arrived here before the first gate drop on Saturday,
22:10he's now going to have doubled his lead and it will be his teammate, Kevin McClellan,
22:14that will now be up in the second.
22:1550 points a trip.
22:17And he's gained points over him as well because he was 37 off the lead heading into this weekend.
22:20Yeah, absolutely.
22:23And that's very healthy.
22:2450 points with two GPs left for Perez over McClellan and the two teammates.
22:29Looking like they're going to divide this championship between them.
22:31But Guillaume returning to that sort of form.
22:34As you can see from the interview earlier before race one,
22:37he's recovering from those facial injuries and all the injuries he would have picked up in that big crash in
22:42Sweden.
22:43And yeah, he's certainly shown the toughness, the strength of adversity after that effort.
22:48And yeah, like you say, he's now reaping rewards.

22:56What is effectively a private team, Czech-based team for the Czech rider.
23:00He's got that triple nicely.
23:01Beautiful.
23:03As he comes into land, he's still circulating in eighth place at the moment.
23:07Only about 2.2 seconds behind Carlos' raceless.
23:09Evertz and Langenfelder getting ready to dice over that second position, though,
23:13with about seven minutes plus two laps to go in the latter stages of this second race here in MX2.
23:20And Evertz on the Nostan Hosfana, the white machine, the rider in blue.

23:25He would be off the podium if...
23:29Oh, no, he wouldn't.
23:30He would still be on 38, wouldn't he?
23:32Yes, yeah.
23:34And take it on the tie-break.
23:35It's Kander that needs to make the pass if he's to knock Evertz off the podium.
23:38So, would that be a third straight podium for Liam?
23:41Yep.
23:41Three seconds.
23:42Two seconds and a third, it would be, if it stays like this.
23:47See how much dry the track is compared to what it was in the early stages of yesterday,
23:50when it was heavily ripped, heavily watered,
23:52as they were prepared to combat the heat and the wind in and around this Affion region.
23:59Langenfelder has definitely got his claws in.
24:00It's taken him a while to wake up, hasn't it?
24:02But now he's found his mojo.
24:05He's found his speed.
24:06He's got his lines dialed.
24:07He's looking to go around the outside of Evertz here at the end of the straight,
24:10or maybe even cut back.
24:11Evertz knows he's there.
24:12Langenfelder is going to go all the way to the outside here in this turn.
24:17Instead, he cuts back to the inside.
24:20Yeah, saw the look from Liam, probably saw the move of blockage coming.
24:25Not quite pulling the hurlings through that corner.
24:27Yeah, Evertz going defensive at the moment.
24:32Langenfelder trying to show him a wheel to the outside, but not effective enough.
24:36Not close enough.
24:37Was always going to come off worse anyway if Evertz was even half a bike ahead of him.
24:41Going to run him to the outside.
24:45Ferez, meanwhile, as these two are battling over that second and third place.
24:488.4 seconds clear at the head of the field.
24:53In what is turning out to be another memorable Grand Prix for the Spanien.
25:00The only two riders two of one around this Turkish circuit in this class, of course.
25:05And, yeah, Liam has had dire times in this circuit in recent years.
25:09Fifth in all three races last year.
25:11Sixth in the GP.
25:12He was kind of his best since that 2023 win, which was achieved admittedly with 3-2 race results.
25:17Taking advantage of others' misfortune.
25:19So, yeah, it's just tricky to see if he can hold off Langenfelder here.
25:23He was able to block McClellan in race one for some time.
25:25And right now he's still making a good job of holding off Langenfelder.
25:28Just under five minutes to go.
25:31Squeaky break time.
25:33Oh, and Langenfelder just stalls.
25:35And that should hand second in the race to Evertz.
25:39Langenfelder will be under pressure from McClellan.
25:41But McClellan was already about 11 seconds further back.
25:44So he'll be kicking himself that he wasn't pushing right the way to the end.
25:48Waiting to pick up any pieces should there be any.
25:50And there were a couple of crumbs there for him to sort of feast on.
25:54Just came in too hot on the back break.
25:58And that was it. Electric start.
26:00But even still, it still takes a while for it to churn over, especially with the clutching.
26:07So that's it. Possibly he'll keep his head down.
26:10He'll keep on pushing, but he's now 5.6.
26:13That's what it's cost him pretty much.
26:14The best part of five seconds.
26:16That mistake on Evertz.
26:18Agarizing seconds there as you're pressing that button waiting for it to happen.
26:21I think personally as a rider I would almost prefer the option to kick my frustration out of the bike
26:24and restarting it.
26:25Than sit there pressing the button.
26:26But therefore I didn't race when the electric bikes came in.
26:29But one thing there.
26:31Mikula is getting very close to Karnas Regilis.
26:33Just over a second between them.
26:35And of course that would take fifth overall away from Kaya Carsmakers.
26:38So that one is important to the check rider.
26:41It's important to Karnas Regilis as well.
26:44And Maxingbro, yeah.
26:45No, does that not see it?
26:47Good to see him out there.
26:48Yeah, quite possibly his last Grand Prix, I think, of the season.
26:51He's still riding with that knee injury.
26:54More unlikely that he won't be going to China and Australia for the final two rounds.
26:58I believe he's going to be going back to Europe getting another checkup.
27:00Maybe they'll make a decision there, but 50-50 at the moment, I believe, for the 7-16.
27:06Of course, former 1-2-5 European champ.
27:09Junior 1-2-5 champ.
27:11Second in the EMX 250 championship last year.
27:14Yeah, that's it.
27:15To Karnas Regilis, of course.
27:17And even admitted early in the year that MX2 shocked him with how fast and how intense it was.
27:22And he's going to finish his rookie season in his 13th in the championship.
27:25Looking at the points, there's no way he can be deprived of that.
27:27Even if he doesn't score any more points by not visiting the last two rounds.
27:31Wolvoort and Smulders, the two riders behind him, are well, well shy.
27:35Well, Smulders won't be going to those two rounds either.
27:37Indeed, and Wolvoort, of course, is out with injury.
27:39So, yeah, from that side, it's...
27:40Zanoss has pretty much nailed on there.
27:4213th in your first rookie year.
27:44Yeah, with a knee injury.
27:45Pick it up, repair.
27:46He's got the likes of Joel Smets.
27:47The KTM group, apparently, still with him.
27:50But are going to maybe even chipping into another team.
27:53We're not quite sure on that yet.
27:54Nothing's really been announced.
27:55Here is Scott Smulders.
27:56He was on our studio show on Saturday.
28:00Of course, former EMX European champion.
28:03Best he had prior to sort of his pro career taking off in sort of MX2, if you like.
28:08And EMX 250 was six overall in the 125 series a few years ago.
28:12And, yeah, he got his best overall finish, didn't he?
28:16Last time out in Arnhem.
28:17He got his qualifying points on the Saturday.
28:20He got ninth overall in his home Grand Prix.
28:22And, yeah, coming here this weekend just to ride out.
28:25Enjoying the experience that he's got with 67 Racing Team Hasvana.
28:28It's a good fit for him as well.
28:30You know, he likes what they do for him.
28:31He likes the kind of ambience, the atmosphere in and around the team.
28:35And it would be shame not to see him in China and Australia for the final two rounds.
28:39But, you know, it's all part of the building and the learning process.
28:41He's now found himself at home, it seems.
28:44If he stays there, I guess that we'll see him sort of move on and maybe improve on where he's
28:48at at the moment.
28:49Yeah, episode 14 of Behind the Gate called Perfection.
28:52That is the round that we featured Scott Smulders.
28:54And you can see quite a bit of the camaraderie around that team.
28:59Marcus Feinbook, the 67 Racing Team boss.
29:02Yeah, a real character in the paddock.
29:04German, a lot much English to his repertoire, but he makes it count.
29:07And it's certainly great to see his work with Scott and how Scott has responded.
29:12For sure, a journeyman, shall we say.
29:14One of those old fashioned riders who finds work wherever he can.
29:16And, yeah, he's now landed a full-time GP ride and making the most of it, for sure.
29:21Well, Julius Michele here in eighth place going after Carless Race List.
29:25The only race list now in the race, because as you look down the timing screen,
29:29Giannis has now pulled out.
29:30That was on lap 10, so four laps ago.
29:33So I just wonder whether behind the scenes there was some maybe sort of protestations, if you like,
29:38you know, just having the discussions to make sure before they did decide to sort of retire from the race,
29:43Giannis Race List, whether it was worth fighting his cause or not.
29:46Well, obviously, 10 laps.
29:48He's decided to come in and park it anyway.
29:50He was up to probably, what, around about ninth, tenth place or something like that.
29:53I don't know. I forget where he was now when he was in the race at that point.
29:57He was behind Smulders, I think, yeah.
29:59But, yeah, in around that position or two.
30:01But anyway, the decision has been made to save the motor, save him.
30:05And they will now get that thing washed off, packed up, shipped out to China this evening with the rest
30:11of the merchandise, you know, the bikes and everything else, if you like.
30:16But what a performance from Guilherme Ferez.
30:19Again, he was asked at the start of race one, how do you deal with the situation that you're in?
30:24You know, you've never been in a situation where potentially you can be world champion three rounds from now.
30:29How you can kind of, how you're dealing with those emotions.
30:32And he just said, just carry on doing what I'm doing, you know, doing what I do during the week.
30:36Relying on the people around me who I trust and work with and rely on and all the rest of
30:40it.
30:41And just carry on doing what I'm doing.
30:43That's it. The team of people, what he does.
30:45And that's exactly what he's done here.
30:47This is how he took over the lead on the start of lap two, found his way past Sasha Coonan.
30:53Coonan, we already know from a pre-grid interview with David Adikali, that he was already feeling a little bit
30:57under the weather before he had that crash, which forced him out of race one.
30:59He lined up heroically, pulled a foxhole shot.
31:02And then when he got past for the lead by Guilherme Ferez, as he went into this first turn here,
31:08as Ferez continued full gas, Sasha Coonan just hit the brakes, pulled up and then turned down into pit lane.
31:17And that was it. Two no scores. Well, not two no scores, but obviously he picked up points in race
31:21one for 15th.
31:23So six points there. He's going to pick up another seven points here because of the demise of Giannis Reisslis,
31:29who will be disqualified anyway.
31:30Won't pick how many points for that 14. So given the greatest scheme of things, two non finishes resulting in
31:37a good sort of amount of points is not too bad, is it?
31:41It would be what, 13 points, I think, in the end.
31:42Yeah, although going from being, what was it?
31:46Yeah, in the mix.
31:47Yeah, to now 60 points down. He's now needing misfortune for this rider here.
31:52And Ferez, he's really shown that he has that latent temperament in terms of the fire, the aggression, the ferociousness,
31:59especially in the opening laps.
32:00But he doesn't seem to have the flip side of that, the negative side where he gets hot headed, panics,
32:05does things too rashly.
32:07He just seems to have that cool measurement. And that probably is one of the most impressive things about his
32:12whole character.
32:13In a similar way as we discussed with Jeffrey Hurlings and how good he is on hard pack.
32:17I mean, he's always been good on hard pack, but how much more planted and grounded and everything works with
32:21him and the motorcycle.
32:22Ferez is the equivalent in MX2. In these kind of conditions, he looks so smooth, so calculated, doesn't look panicked,
32:28doesn't look rushed.
32:29There's no big handfuls of gas and back end step outs or very, very rarely the need.
32:33He just looks very much a part of his motorcycle in these conditions.
32:37And of course, yeah, growing up in Spain, he would have been used to this absolute bread and butter.
32:41But of course, as well, he went to the States for some time.
32:43Injury curtailed his time on the bike out there, and that's why he's come back to the World Championships.
32:49But yeah, he would have been practicing on this sort of stuff as well in this sort of heat.
32:53So for sure, these sort of conditions are not a problem for him, although the altitude would be a little
32:57bit different.
32:57Two corners away from taking the one lap board, then Guillaume Ferez on the Triumph Racing MX2 factory machine.
33:04Things looking good for the British manufacturer and the Dutch-based team.
33:12Run by a bunch of French people. If it's, you know, Thierry Shizat-Sazoni, who was the former boss at
33:20Kawasaki when Roma-February was there.
33:22Then obviously when Anti-Pyridon's lot came in and took over and Kimi Raikkonen, of course, they took a back
33:26seat.
33:26Didn't go racing for a couple of years while they worked behind the scenes on the Triumph project.
33:31And then they've come in year three and here they are fighting for a championship in MX2.
33:36Absolutely impressive stuff.
33:37Super impressive. And now what can this man do on a 450?
33:40That's one of the big questions that starts to loom as 2027 bodes on the horizon.
33:44So, yeah, they are going to see this man in the MXGP class next year.
33:48And will we see him as another world champion into that class?
33:51That's the big question here because he's looking supreme at the moment.
33:54Well, let's just say win, lose or draw the championship.
33:57OK, let's fast forward to two weeks after the world championship finishes in Australia.
34:01We go to the motocrosser nations. Team Spain.
34:03How much are they favorites for a potential nations victory for the first time in their career with Jorge Prado,
34:08Guilherme Ferez and Ruben Fernandes?
34:10Yeah, that looks like a super strong team, especially with Valan questionable for fitness for France.
34:15He's going to be his first race back for, what, five, six months since that crash in Portugal.
34:18That's not ideal, although he will have home crowd energy behind him.
34:23But, yeah, for sure, Spain looking good, especially with Kyder Wolf now ruled out of Team Netherlands.
34:27Yeah, Team America, we're not quite sure what America are going to be like, are we?
34:31Kitchen, Jaimus, Webb, that's a strange squad, a real unknown factor.
34:35So, yeah, for sure, Team Spain, I would say, have as much chance as anybody.
34:42Halfway round the final lap.
34:44And then, Guilherme Ferez getting closer to the chequered flag, looking up his sixth Grand Prix victory of the season.
34:54And when you look at round nine in Italy, where he was second overall, four wins on the bounce.
35:00Portugal, South Africa, Great Britain, Czech Republic, second in Belgium.
35:04He missed the podium, fourth overall, and what was a brave decision to ride after his crash in the qualifying
35:09race.
35:09Fourth overall there, he was third on the podium in the Netherlands.
35:13He bounces back with the overall victory here in Turkey.
35:16Ferez wins in Afyon.
35:18Oh, nice little oppo there as well.
35:22As he comes in to land.
35:24What a performance from Guilherme Ferez.
35:27Nothing seems to faze him.
35:29Takes a look back, sees Evertz there six seconds further back, and Evertz will finish on the podium third overall.
35:34As it stands at the moment, unless there are any, the gaps between the riders that can affect that.
35:40They're just a little bit too great at the moment.
35:42So for now, Ferez wins.
35:44Langefeld a second, Evertz third.
35:46We'll get the first six, seven guys over the line, and then we'll give you a refresh on that situation.
35:52But Guilherme Ferez, what an absolutely fantastic performance once again from him.
35:57Yeah, and Kai Carsmakers does take his best ever race finish in a GP, which will bring him his best
36:03ever GP overall result as well.
36:05So from a nightmare Saturday for the Dutchman, he brings it home for fifth overall for the first time in
36:10his life.
36:11And look at this, this is what it means to him, him and Gros celebrating.
36:14Even Maxim Gros there with that P6 overall is matching his career best.
36:18So wonderful stuff for those two.
36:20Mikula just losing out there, couldn't quite hang with Carlos Rezlis towards the end.
36:24But three very happy riders there will leave Turkey.
36:28Some will go to China, and some might just go back home and prepare for the nations even.
36:33Thirteen race wins then for the season.
36:34Four Guilherme Ferez, six Grand Prix victories for the Triumph.
36:37rider as he extends his championship lead from 25 this weekend to 50 as we head to China.
36:42Two week, one weekend from now for the penultimate round.
36:46Six GP wins for Ferez brings him level with Andrej Adamo and Liam Everett, as well as many others across
36:51history.
36:52But yeah, so two riders there that Ferez has already equaled on race, on GP wins anyway.
36:59First race win as well, since he was victorious in race one in Czech Republic, Lockett a few rounds ago.

37:22Yeah, it was a good weekend in Turkey. Second moto was good. Got off to a decent start again, made
37:27some passes on the first laps and from there I had a bit of a better pace this moto and
37:33I could manage the gap.
37:35So yeah, really happy. The whole Triumph team is doing an amazing job and I can thank them enough.
