00:40because the four guys, Hayden, Deegan, Rockson, Hunter Lawrence,
00:43can beat him on any given day.
00:46And the situation has arose.
00:48Now, if you're Hayden, Deegan, James, you know this,
00:51you have got to have some serious sprint speed here
00:54to hold off Ken Rockson because he is so explosive early.
00:58Yeah, and if you don't, you'll be getting passed.
01:00I'll tell you that much.
01:01Simple as that.
01:02Deegan admitted it those first couple of weeks.
01:04They have not raced each other much, Deegan being a rookie.
01:08And he took note.
01:09Oh, he almost goes down.
01:11Saves it.
01:12But can Rockson make the pass?
01:13Not enough.
01:15Yeah, Hunter Lawrence, I've seen that story before.
01:18But nonetheless, this is an improvement that you've seen from Hayden, Deegan,
01:21throughout the season.
01:22Just being more polished in the beginning part of the race, this speed.
01:25Yes, the kid's always been fast, but now you're starting to see he feels like he belongs.
01:29And I think this is a huge opportunity whether he wins his championship or not.
01:33But let everybody know that, hey, 27 is going to be my year.

01:39Prado is sixth now.
01:41Bad start.
01:42Rare for the rider.
01:43Averaging a 1.5 starting position in these playoffs.
01:48Right there, I told you right there, if the 94 got a good jump out of there,
01:53it's going to be the worst nightmare for the 26.
01:56And he did, JT, and just pitches Jorge Prado off in a time of need.
02:00Yeah, very uncharacteristic there.
02:02But I'll tell you what, guys, he has made quick moves.
02:04He is already up to six.
02:06I was watching him work through traffic.
02:08You can tell how much this means because this is very atypical.
02:11Usually it's start-dependent.
02:13Not so much right now.
02:14You see the urgency of Prado's riding.
02:15Yeah, this is important for Jorge.
02:20This is where you find out there's Christmas cards,
02:22which one of these guys kind of like you because they can be difficult on you
02:25or they can allow you to go.
02:26So hopefully for him, RJ doesn't hold him up too much.
02:29He can keep marching his way forward.
02:30Yeah, I think he's ran through his options of Christmas card list.

02:34Because he's got two more people, and that's your brother right in front of him
02:38and maybe Cooper Webb because I can assure you he ain't going to get no Christmas cards
02:43from Lawrence, Roxen, or Deegan.
02:45That's the tough part.
02:47The four riders that can beat him for the title are one, two, three, four
02:49as he goes to work on Hampshire, and then you see Webb just up ahead.
02:53So distance-wise, not that far back.
02:58But he's going to have to make some passes.
03:00Deegan, by the way, points as they run.
03:02If he were to win the race like he is right now, win the overall,
03:05he would be the champion as Prado finds a line on Hampshire.
03:09Yeah, that corner's getting a little blown out, Ricky.

03:29And the other factor in these playoffs, remember,
03:31there's money on the line for every position in the race,
03:33every position in points.
03:34So even a rider like Hampshire, not really a title contender,
03:38still has incentive to ride hard.
03:40Prado with a new line.
03:41And he bounces off the top.
03:44Isn't it up?
03:45Yeah, you're probably going to watch RJ back out,
03:47which he kind of does.
03:48Jorge's just going to go around outside.
03:50So RJ could have made it a little more difficult,
03:52made him question if he just cut over a little bit.
03:55But nonetheless, I think if I'm Jorge,
03:57now the problem, the goal really starts,
04:00because now you've got Cooper Webb.
04:01He ain't letting you go.
04:02Hunter Lawrence, so very important for him to keep marching up.
04:05That's going to be difficult.
04:08I tell you what's going to be difficult,
04:09just dealing with Deegan.
04:10He has pulled two seconds now on Roxen.
04:13Another two seconds, Roxen, and then Lawrence.
04:16Well, and then you also think about,
04:17whoa, hold on to it.
04:19Uh-oh, he's going.
04:20He's getting a little buck wild here early on.
04:23I don't know if it's full desperation mode right now,
04:25but he is absolutely sending it right now.
04:31Coop doing a great job here as well,
04:33having a lot of speed.
04:35He had a ton of intensity, excuse me, early on today.
04:39James, when we were watching him in qualifying practice.
04:42I mean, there's a lot on the line for Cooper Webb,
04:44because he understands that they all could be on here.
04:46But, yeah, the good thing for that small mistake,
04:49he's not losing the toe to these two in front of him,
04:51but he's got a long ways, Will.
04:53Okay, James, back to Cooper Webb there,
04:55and just the motivation that he is carrying into these playoffs
04:58on the finale here today, chatting to him.
05:01He's like, I've never been in this situation before,
05:03and I didn't realize how deep this had gone,
05:05but he basically hadn't gone healthy there into the offseason
05:09and gotten to that point,
05:10gotten through Pro Motocross since 2021.
05:13And he said, this time,
05:14my goal was get through Pro Motocross healthy.
05:17He said, this started at the beginning of August,
05:20he set up for these SMX playoffs.
05:23He said, I've just been working hard,
05:24and this has been my goal,
05:25and this is the result.
05:27So nobody should doubt
05:28really Cooper Webb's motivation at any point.
05:30But this year,
05:31his eye has been on these players
05:33that are really seeing it in his performances.
05:37Oh, he's no doubt.
05:38Definitely the best run of the playoffs
05:39for the three-time Supercross champion.

11:25what Prado's going to try
11:26before Prado even tries it,
11:27which makes it even more tough.
11:29But I can't express
11:30how important this pass is.
11:33We're kind of seeing
11:33the points as they run there.
11:34But with this triple points format,
11:36that will change so fast.
11:39And it could set Prado up
11:40into a position
11:40where all he has to do
11:41is beat Hayden in race two
11:43to secure this championship.
11:44With him only needing
11:45a third overall,
11:47this is a,
11:47it doesn't feel very important,
11:49fourth versus fifth,
11:50but the points,
11:51it means everything right now.
11:54Well, Webb's one of the toughest
11:56ones to get around
11:58and Prado's learning

13:36He talked about his program.
13:38This may surprise you guys
13:38at how much he's simplified it
13:40in the sense of his
13:41kind of around him.
13:42It's always been like
13:43this big entourage
13:44that follows Hayden
13:45and he said,
13:46I've trimmed that right down
13:47and my group is now small.
13:49And basically,
13:49I'm just trying to simplify
13:50everything.
13:51He said he's got a new trainer
13:52off the bike,
13:53on the bike,
13:53a nutritionist,
13:55mental coaching.
13:56He told me put on
13:57seven pounds of muscle
13:58in a two-week span.
14:00So Hayden Deegan
14:01is setting himself up.
14:02I don't think you've seen
14:03the best of him yet,
14:03as we know.
14:04He is setting himself up
14:05for a strong 2027 season
14:07and this win would help a lot.

15:40you see the 96 come in.

15:47this track is starting to change,
15:48starting to get a little bit
15:49slipperier,

15:52the dirt's going away.
15:53It's very hard and slick.

16:19to win this race,
16:21possibly win this championship,

16:24and grow all offseason
16:26where he's just riding
16:27and remembering this race
16:28and what that does
16:29for his confidence
16:31going into January 27,
16:32I don't even think
16:34you can measure
16:34how important
16:35that factor is.

16:37you can't.
16:38We talked about this
16:39as Kent Rockson
16:39is trying to,
16:40he doesn't want him
16:41going into the offseason
16:42like that.
16:43He's closing.
16:43You know,
16:43Kenny saw that mistake,

16:45it's bigger than just this race.
16:47I mean,
16:47all these guys,
16:48they got plenty of money.
16:49They want to win this,
16:50of course,
16:50but Kenny,
16:52if he's racing next year,
16:53he wants to beat Hayden.
16:54He doesn't want Hayden
16:55in the offseason.
16:56Same thing with Hunter Lawrence.
16:57So yeah,
16:58this race,
16:58Hayden might walk away winning,
17:00but the big win
17:01goes all offseason
17:02going into next year.
17:03And I want to touch
17:04on what you said,
17:05a very valid point
17:06in the beginning
17:07of this race.
17:08And, you know,
17:10Hayden knowing
17:11that he can win
17:12going into this offseason,
17:14there's a difference
17:15between knowing
17:16and believing.
17:17A lot of us believe,
17:19a lot of riders believe
17:20that they can win.
17:21Knowing it,
17:22in my mind,
17:23is a completely
17:24different situation.
17:26You actually can go out there
17:27and execute it,
17:28and there really isn't
17:28a doubt in your mind.
17:30Completely different situation now.
17:32The lap rider,
17:33Freezy,
17:33held up Roxen,
17:34and the gap went from
17:351.4 to 2.4.
17:38And now you see Hunter Lawrence
17:39starting to get back
17:40into the picture.
17:40So Roxen's on the ropes.
17:42He's running out of time
17:44to get back
17:44and back to the rear fender.
17:45Yeah,
17:46a little over two minutes left.

17:50you know,
17:50another mistake by Hayden
17:52of bringing Kenny back in.

17:55Hunter's starting to settle

17:59but the real shocking
18:00is Hunter's doing a great job

18:08for a few laps.

18:12a dangerous game.

19:20and tweak the shoulder
19:21a little bit.

19:57he's in a dangerous
19:58world right now
