00:00Reves up, gate's about a drop.
00:02The run down, that start straight, 75 metres into the first corner.
00:08Sacha Kunin this time, gets the better of...
00:12In fact, it's Langefelder again, wasn't it?
00:14So Langefelder, two flying starts for him, two black plates for him as well.
00:18Sacha Kunin, I think he tried to go too early, he looked like he went way too soon.
00:22And almost like last week, but didn't hit the gate this time around.
00:27Ferez quickly in the second, Everts in the third.
00:28Round the outside, we've got one of the Montserrat Yamahas.
00:31And it's a 7-7-2 of Yannis raceless, then McClellan.
00:34And then Sacha Kunin there, just behind, then Carlos raceless.
00:41Didn't look like Langefelder was clean out of that turn there.
00:44Looked like he kind of stabbed his way in, the back just came around ever so slightly.
00:47But Ferez, not able to execute into turn seven at the end of the straight there.
00:52Despite his efforts, looking to go back again if he can.
00:56But he's got to be careful here, not to leave the door open on this opening lap.
00:58Which is always kind of risky anyway.
01:00Everybody's so bunched together.
01:02You see how slick it is dropping into that turn where they put some water down.
01:08Langefelder, Ferez lead the way.
01:09Everts and raceless, just behind.
01:12And then McClellan, your winner from race one.
01:14He started around fifth in the first race and worked his way to the front.
01:17I saw him in the break sort of about, let's say, 45 minutes ago.
01:23And he said it was, you know, one, he said he was just waiting for the track to come back
01:28to him because it was pretty wet early on.
01:30And two, he said those 10 minutes at the end of the race make a massive difference.
01:33And that's where he really gained in confidence in those last 10 minutes.
01:38Everts hanging on there to that third place.
01:40Alongside him, you've got Yanis raceless.
01:43Trying to cut back to the inside out of that turn if he can.
01:46He's got to be careful not to leave the door open himself there.
01:48As Camden McClellan looking to strike.
01:51Gets alongside, not quite.
01:53Just off the bottom of the screen there.
01:54As Langefelder hits the line.
01:56Ferez second.
01:57Everts third.
01:57Raceless fourth.
01:58Coonan in sixth now.
02:01With McClellan just ahead of him.
02:05There is Coonan on the number 19, Red Bull KTM.
02:08Camden McClellan has to go early.
02:10And he does.
02:11But can he get the distance?
02:12No, he can't.
02:13And Yanis raceless fights right back, which means McClellan's going to have to jump to the inside.
02:16And try and execute something outside, inside.
02:19Or maybe just all the way around the outside here.
02:21That's exactly what he does.
02:22And he does make the pass on the Yamaha man who comes back for more.
02:25No way through for the Latvian.
02:27McClellan up into fourth place.
02:29Yes, great action there from McClellan to try to recover there.
02:31The early first lap regression has been the key mark for Guilherme Ferez.
02:35So far, he has not been able to get through on Langefelder.
02:38The current chap holding off the man who's looking to try and take that crown off him.
02:44Yeah, Guilherme Ferez looks a lot more relaxed this time around.
02:47I think early on in race one, when it was quite wet and quite sort of sticky and tricky and
02:52things like that.
02:53Everybody rides a little bit sort of tentative.
02:55A bit tense.
02:56Maybe Ferez fell for that and wasn't able to really shake himself out of that.
02:59But here he is, charging down the inside of Langefelder.
03:02No way through there in that left turn.
03:05Langefelder either overestimating the gap he had over Ferez or just being brave enough to think that he can hold
03:11off the charge of the Spaniard.
03:12At the moment, Everts and Rianis Rezlis fighting over third as well.
03:16But McLennan will want to get past those two as quickly as possible to hunt these two down and leave
03:20him with less work to do later on in the race.
03:23Ferez looking for a different way through the rhythm section here.
03:26The Dragons back triples his way off the top.
03:29Gets good drive on that outside.
03:31Sasha Coonan has fallen down to 13th place.
03:33So where has Sasha Coonan gone?
03:35See there on the timing tower on the left-hand side.
03:38And here he is.
03:39Oh, I'll tell you what.
03:40That is a front-end mess for the number 19.
03:43Is that through the waves in the middle of the circuit?
03:45That might just be unless it was over the Dragons back.
03:48But I think it was more in the middle of the circuit.
03:51Ferez up the inside through turn one.
03:53Finds his way into the lead.
03:55Makes that move on Langefelder.
03:56Langefelder is going to jump long here if he can.
03:58But it's not long enough.
04:00But he does try to get back around the outside.
04:03Bar to bar.
04:04And he's got to be careful here.
04:05Ferez doesn't need to get involved in this kind of unnecessary tussle.
04:09Almost bar to bar.
04:11Both riders jumping away from each other.
04:13But Kieran Ferez trying to flex his muscles against the defending champ.
04:18But it's set.
04:18Doesn't need to.
04:19But he runs wide.
04:20Takes the front wheel away from Langefelder.
04:22Just says, get back in your box, young man.
04:26Puts the hard pass on him.
04:28Takes over the lead.
04:29But all he's done is made an enemy.
04:31With that.
04:31Well, he's created an enemy with Simon Langefelder.
04:33With a move like that, Langefelder gets the opportunity.
04:36We saw what he did to Kaida Wolf in Turkey a couple of years ago.
04:39Shove him in over the berm and into Antalya about three hours down the road.
04:43He doesn't want that here in race two.
04:45Kieran Ferez, watch this here.
04:47Just gets up the inside.
04:49Decides, you know what?
04:5045 degrees through the turn.
04:52Tags the front end.
04:53Langefelder stays up.
04:56Ferez, your new leader.
04:58It's great aggression from Langefelder to fight back after the Spaniards.
05:01His first effort to get under his skin.
05:04And now he's really probably had to nail him to take over that lead.
05:07But this is perfect for Ferez right now.
05:09Langefelder, Ebert.
05:10And he had his race list between himself and McLellan.
05:12Trying to rebuild that championship lead that he held running into race one.
05:16And then we were down to two in the title fight realistically because with Sasha Coonan just picking himself up
05:22there.
05:22I think he's just going to go back.
05:24And the mechanic on the back of the bike there.
05:26I was just about to say he's down in 17th.
05:28He's not picked himself up.
05:29But now after a lap he rejoins.
05:31But on the infield, not on the racetrack.
05:33Coonan, his championship is done for another year.
05:39Just 24 and a half minutes to go here.
05:41Ebert all over the back of Simon Langefelder.
05:44He decided to switch to the outside.
05:47Heading into that turn.
05:48This is the battle for second place.
05:50Ferez, 1.7 seconds clear at the moment.
05:52McLellan still in fifth place.
05:54Not able to find his way.
05:55Pass Giannis raceless despite finding his way by briefly a moment ago.
05:59Yeah, Giannis fighting back.
06:01Having a much better final race of the weekend than he has done all the time through this visit to
06:06China.
06:07His first, of course, to this country.
06:09And now Ebert's hunting down Langefelder.
06:11If he passes him, that would mean they would be level on points.
06:13So looking at second overall, which would give Ferez the overall at the moment.
06:17Langefelder on a 2-2.
06:18Currently sitting on the top of the points for the day.
06:21But yeah, right now it looks like Ebert's is the one with more intent.
06:25And if he can chase down Ferez, that will be a first GP win of the season for the Belgian.
06:30And looking to try and strike sooner rather than later.
06:34He was decent in that first race, wasn't he?
06:36Just wasn't able to wind him down by the clock.
06:39Sort of by the time the clock sort of ticked down and the flag had gone out.
06:44But got a lot more time on his sleeve here today in the second race.
06:47Liam Ebert's on the white.
06:49Nostan Hasbana, a bit of a twitch on the front end there.
06:52And a jab the leg out as well.
06:54Face full of roost at the same time.
06:56McClellan right back into the frame as well.
06:58The gap at the moment between the top two in the championship is, what, 54 points as it stands right
07:03now.
07:05So Ferez would have to wait until Australia one week from now as things stand.
07:13McClellan there in that second position.
07:15Sasha Coonan, well, not finishing the race.
07:17He's going to pick up four points anyway because of how the system is.
07:21In fact, he didn't complete a lap.
07:23So he may not even get those four points.
07:25Might not even get a single one, like you said.
07:26Oh, Evert's unseated coming out of the final turn.
07:30Got on the gas, ran it in deep.
07:31Back end came one way and hoofed him out of the seat almost.
07:34It wasn't a biggie, but it was pretty close.
07:37Watch this here.
07:39Gets on the gas.
07:40I mean, it was big enough that had the old thing tweaking above the seat there.
07:46Looking around at McClellan to see if he was going to be on him.
07:48Watch that gap.
07:49Up 4.2 seconds.
07:50Actually, it's now 4.5 seconds between McClellan and the leader.
07:54We know how much late race pace he had in the first race.
07:58But now what has he got to do?
07:59Is he going to be able to claw back this 4.5 seconds on Ferez in front?
08:04Just looking at carsmakers there.
08:05Bottom of the screen.
08:06He's in 6th place.
08:06He's only 6.5 seconds off the lead.
08:08And there the leader's heading back in the opposite direction.
08:12Ferez on the top of the screen over that jump.
08:14Then we've got this whole freight train.
08:162nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th.
08:17Pretty much all on the same piece.
08:19Straight now before Kinkin left through 9 and 10.
08:22At the head of the field there, Langenfelder in 2nd place.
08:25Maren Dennis again in the top 10.
08:278th for the Australian.
08:289th for Mikula.
08:2910th for Groh.
08:30Also in his first visit here.
08:31Zanke on this first race.
08:33Back for Badini Ducati there in 11th spot on this one.
08:36Evans making a mistake as he came in the land a moment ago.
08:38He tried to go down the inside.
08:40Missed his breaking point.
08:41Went straight on.
08:42Ran into the berm.
08:43Was high on the top of the berm.
08:44As that berm looked like it was under.
08:45But sort of close to being collapsing underneath him.
08:51But those ruts a little bit deeper.
08:52Nadia.
08:53Nadia if you like.
08:54Nahlia.
08:55This is that dragon's back.
08:57Two corners before the finish.
08:58This right left combination that takes us down the finish straight.
09:02McClellan just not able to do anything at the moment.
09:05Everybody's pace is very very similar.
09:06As he said during the break.
09:08That last 10 minutes really made the difference.
09:10But he can't afford Ferez to get too far away.
09:13And at the moment Ferez has 4.2 on his teammate.
09:16Who is languishing in that 4th position at the moment.
09:18Yeah he did make 3 tenths on Ferez there.
09:21Dear McClellan.
09:21Interesting in that dragon's back section there Paul.
09:23McClellan the only one to go wide.
09:25Trying to get creative.
09:26Maybe making some more pace through that dragon's back.
09:28Might even be able to make the difference between a triple.
09:30And a triple and a double.
09:31And therefore catching up around to Everett.
09:33Which he did.
09:34But Everett's now closing back up to Langenfelder.
09:36Yeah I saw McClellan do that.
09:38And Ferez obviously did it earlier.
09:40Where if you go outside it gives you a slightly different rhythm on.
09:43Which means you can double.
09:44And then hit the highest point.
09:45And triple out.
09:47So McClellan was the first rider I saw do that yesterday in MX2.
09:50There might have been others.
09:50But when I was watching that he was the first guy to do that.
09:53Look at that Burma's collapse just beneath the Guanyi banner there.
09:59Everett's not letting the...
10:00Langenfelder out of sight.
10:01Is he not letting him off the hook?
10:03Ferez just around the corner.
10:04Top of the screen.
10:05Just turning left underneath the blue banner there.
10:08Giannis raceless fastest in sector one.
10:10By not a lot.
10:11But still purple marker for him.
10:14Ferez has put the best lap in so far.
10:15That was on the opening lap.
10:161.47.
10:176.29.
10:18The Cherbis fastest lap was a 46 in race one.
10:2146.7.
10:22So that may come.
10:22And that was Cameron McClellan on lap six.
10:25So we'll keep an eye on that.
10:26I would imagine that that last...
10:28That first lap will be the quickest lap over the weekend in MX2.
10:31Yeah, misfortune there for Jin Yu Wang...
10:34Sorry, Jin Yu Yang.
10:35The stand-in there for JK Racing Yamaha.
10:38Now out of the race, sadly, the Chinese rider.
10:40You getting your Jiangs and your Wangs and your Bangs?
10:41I'm getting all mixed up here.
10:42Mixed up.
10:46Anyway, Langenfelder still under pressure.
10:48So too was Evertz.
10:50Who slowed up enough to have to force McClellan into a slightly wider rut on the exit of the turn.
10:57Evertz doesn't get the drive that he wanted over that step up.
10:59He was almost by the German there at the start of the straight as well.
11:02But this is the battle.
11:03Second turn, fourth.
11:04Absolutely locked together.
11:05McClellan looks like the one that's in menacing mode, though.
11:08Back end lighting up on him as he came out of that turn.
11:11First turn.
11:11Out to the right, then back to the inside.
11:14Fortunately, he's got a little bit of weight behind him.
11:15Some decent legs on him as well.
11:17Just was able to thwart that little kickback in the wrong direction.
11:21Kept it on two wheels.
11:23Here comes Evertz once again.
11:27Just McClellan making...
11:28Sorry, Langenfelder making Evertz work every step of the way here at the moment.
11:33Meanwhile, Perez just...
11:35Should be in the building trade because he's built that lead.
11:37Back out of 3.2 seconds over these guys here.
11:41Put himself in a very good position.
11:43McClellan almost in a position to find his way past Evertz at the end of the straight.
11:49Cuts back to the inside here.
11:50Evertz chasing the outside.
11:51This isn't...
11:52When you've got a three-way battle like this, that's exactly the situation.
11:55You've got McClellan...
11:56Sorry, Langenfelder will go to the inside.
11:58Evertz will think, right, I've got to create something to the outside.
12:00When he does that, it's an open game for McClellan to use those inside lines to capitalize on a mistake
12:06from Evertz.
12:06Should there be one?
12:07If he just drifts wide or doesn't get on the gas and he might feel he can get a wheel
12:10ahead of him.
12:12Same here, look.
12:14Nice dip on the pegs until the last minute, Evertz.
12:17McClellan took the shortest route through.
12:18Maybe took a bite length out of him in the process.
12:22He's working our way down past pit lane, so this out of turn 13.
12:28Well, 14.
12:31Yeah, he's not able to get the triple over the top there.
12:35Yeah, Evertz blocked him off, didn't he, on that one?
12:37And, yeah, McClellan still has to take care because Yannis Rezlis is still within striking distance as well.
12:41So it's not all about the attack for the South African.
12:46Yannis Rezlis, not far off, look, lurking in the background.
12:48Just about a second, 1.2 seconds of drift in that fifth place.
12:52Kai Karsmakers, he's just put his best lap in.
12:54We're seeing a similar pattern here to race one where all of a sudden the track six or seven laps
12:59in.
12:59A lot of riders putting in their best laps here as maybe that water that was put down in the
13:03brake just starting to evaporate.
13:08It's starting to get a little bit grippy and there's a point on this racetrack where there's going to be
13:12absolute optimum traction for the riders.
13:15McClellan was the first to realize that in race one.
13:17And it was he who decided to sort of throw down the hammer first as he went after a potential
13:22race win,
13:23which is what he actually nailed down with three laps to go.
13:27Finding his way past the likes of Sasha Coonan, who's out of the race now.
13:30Guillem-Ferrez, Evertz here, wrestling with McClellan as they continue to fight over third and fourth.
13:36The rider in white and the rider with the yellow fenders behind him.
13:41Gap to Ferez for McClellan is just under four seconds, so he's keeping him there or thereabouts.
13:47Just there goes Ferez over the big jump there with the red bridge.
13:50So he's still within sight.
13:53And there goes Evertz.
13:54Up the inside.
13:56And I tell you what, it was a bit untidy on the exit, but he forced his way through up
13:59to second.
14:01And all of a sudden, that has caught Langenfelder off guard because McClellan goes through as well.
14:06So Evertz and McClellan up to second and third.
14:08Langenfelder down to fourth.
14:09In the blink of an eye.
14:10He took advantage of the disruption there.
14:12Did McClellan dive underneath Langenfelder just after Evertz had ruffled his feathers.
14:17So now McClellan has just the Belgian between himself and his title rival.
14:23And all of that happening on lap seven.
14:26How crucial is that going to be in the outcome of this Grand Prix?
14:30Because we'll get the riders over the line here.
14:33Ferez leads away from Evertz, who's now second.
14:35McClellan third.
14:36Langenfelder, who's dropped to fourth.
14:38McClellan goes to the top of the Grand Prix standings on 45 points with a win and a third.
14:4425 points and 20.
14:45Ferez will be second.
14:4618 and 25 on 43.
14:49Evertz will be on the podium once again.
14:51That'll be four in a row for the Nostanthuswander rider.
14:54He'll do that with a third and a second.
14:56But 45, 43, 42.
14:58Langenfelder just off the podium, 40.
15:00Still too close to call.
15:01Depends what happens, obviously.
15:03State the obvious in the next 15 minutes plus two laps.
15:08But it was Evertz who was the fastest man on track last time around.
15:111.47, 2.32, 46 in race one.
15:15The fastest lap.
15:18McClellan's looking good here.
15:20Yeah, it is.
15:20That was 1.8 seconds, 1.6 seconds quicker than Ferez out in front and 3 tenths faster than McClellan.
15:26But Camden able to keep him in touch with the Belgian and they could both fire up towards Ferez now.
15:342.8 the gap between McClellan and Ferez as we speak.
15:37And Ferez and Evertz, their gap has come down.
15:39It was two points something a moment ago and then it changed to 1.9 after sector two.
15:44So Evertz has really sort of upped his pace.
15:47McClellan hoping that he can latch onto the rear wheel of the White Husqvarna rider here.
15:50He's going in pursuit of his first Grand Prix victory of the season.
15:53as well in that respect because obviously Kaida Wolff didn't do that, didn't manage that in MXGP before he was
15:58sidelined.
16:00Man, game.
16:02Not the boys one, not man game.
16:04Basically, man up, get your elbows out, be decisive.
16:09Janis Rezlis has now got past Simon Langerfelder, so the miseries continue for the German.
16:13Down to fifth now.
16:15Mistake coming out of that right-hander for Evertz.
16:17Out of that right-hand turn, he caught the edge of the rut and it just lifted the front
16:20and he just managed to save it with a dab of that right leg.
16:24Could have gone down, didn't, stayed up.
16:27And he is in this race still.
16:291.6 behind Ferez.
16:31Janis Rezlis is up to fourth.
16:32Langerfelder down to fifth at the end of that lap.
16:36Good performance that from the Latvian.
16:38Back there, just going around that opposite corner there.
16:40Langerfelder.
16:44He's falling into the clutches of Kai Carsmakers as well.
16:46He's only seven tenths ahead of the Dutchman,
16:48so straight off the back of his best GP yet to date,
16:52Kai Carsmakers is now going to threaten the reigning world champion.
16:57A little bit wide on the exit of that turn.
16:59Number eight, Cameron McClellan, a moment ago.
17:01He was just teetering on the edge.
17:04But he finds some good speed through those monster energy waves,
17:07gets himself right back onto the rear wheel of Evertz.
17:10The gap between them, a moment ago, as they went into sector two,
17:14was only six tenths.
17:15Will come into sector three here, out of this turn on the face of the jump,
17:18and it goes back out to nine tenths.
17:20So overall, he's lost about three tenths in the first couple of sectors,
17:24has Camden McClellan.
17:27That's Ferez just flying by.
17:29Yeah, you might have spotted there,
17:30the Carsmakers has got past Langerfelder.
17:32So up to fifth now.
17:33What is going on with the Red Bull KTM Factory team?
17:38Right, top right of our screen.
17:40This was Carsmakers on Langerfelder.
17:44Forces him down the inside.
17:46Carsmakers up into fifth.
17:47Great move, that from the Dixon Racing Kawasaki.
17:50That would currently put him sixth overall.
17:51He's a point behind Yannis Resilis to try and match the fifth of the previous week.
17:55Here comes McClellan.
17:57Everts knows he's on the outside.
18:00Smooth the drive around the outside as well.
18:02He can jump long, but he can't force his way down the inside.
18:04Gets squeezed there by Everts on the 26th.
18:13This for second place.
18:15He's trying to hold a slightly tighter line there.
18:18Making it shorter in distance towards his first turn.
18:21Cameron McClellan, but Everts covering all the bases.
18:25And with nine laps gone, we work our way into lap 10 now.
18:28We've got 11 and a half minutes plus two laps to go, all thereabouts.
18:32Perez leads Everts second.
18:33McClellan here, he's in third.
18:35We've got Raceless and Carsmakers rounding out your top five.
18:37Take a look at the start again.
18:40Over on the right-hand side as we look down.
18:42Left as they appear down the start straight.
18:45Simon Langerfelder right through the middle.
18:46Back-to-back foxhole shots for him.
18:51And then Perez trying to get around the outside of him.
18:54Everts up the inside on the exit of that turn.
18:57Sasha Kunin getting squeezed.
18:59He's since fallen out of the race.
19:00We didn't have it.
19:01We just saw a second-hand motorcycle at the start of the first official full lap.
19:05So second lap of the race, if you like, from start to where we picked him up.
19:09May have been through the waves.
19:10Not sure.
19:11Number plate was hanging off.
19:12But Simon Langerfelder may have picked up another black plate here today.
19:18His ninth of the season.
19:22Here is the number one in shot.
19:24Of course, now falling down, falling behind Carsmakers to the tune of four seconds.
19:29So it's weird to know what's going on with Simon Langerfelder.
19:31Looks so good.
19:32Almost on for a race win in the opener there.
19:35But McLennan took it from him.
19:37And now dropping down, further down the order to sixth in this race.
19:40At the start of the weekend, actually, Langerfelder was 20 points behind Sasha Kunin.
19:43With Kunin out of the race at the moment.
19:45And showing as, even though he didn't complete a lap, will still pick up seven points for his, four points
19:52for his 17th place.
19:53Gap between Kunin and Langerfelder is down to five.
19:56Kunin on 7.75.
19:57Langerfelder on 7.70.
19:59So it appears you don't even need to do a lap these days to pick up a point.
20:02Just get over the gate.
20:02Interesting to see how that one will come out once it goes through the results filter system there.
20:07Let's see if those four points do still count or not.
20:09But if it doesn't, then even though he's suffering in this one, Langerfelder might just be knocking on the door
20:14of his stablemate in the Red Bull KTM organization.
20:17For the bronze medal in the World Championship as it stands right now.
20:21Which would be Langerfelder's fourth to go with his goal from last year.
20:24He's got a few of them.
20:26Yeah.
20:27Ferez just sets the fastest time in set to one.
20:3023.735 seconds.
20:33Evertz was a 24.012.
20:35So not much in it.
20:37A couple of tenths.
20:37Two, three tenths.
20:38McClellan was a 24.1.
20:41So first three quickest in that order.
20:43Ferez, Evertz, McClellan.
20:44Ferez still enjoys just over two seconds at the head of the field over Evertz who has 1.3 over
20:50McClellan.
20:51Giannis Raceless here on the 772.
20:53Monster Energy Yamaha factory MX2 rider.
20:56Great ride this from the young Latvian.
20:58The rookie to the class.
20:59He's going to finish the championship six overall in the campaign.
21:03He's had some pretty decent rides.
21:04He even got a podium or two.
21:06Portugal and South Africa.
21:08Second and third.
21:09Been a while since he's been on the podium though.
21:11He's had a fourth, a couple of fifths.
21:13Can he round out the season on a high as well?
21:17He'll be fifth overall here if he stays where he is.
21:20May put him in a good frame of mind going into Australia.
21:22The final round where most riders may think they're settled.
21:27Some want to go out with a bang and some just happy just to ride out the laps.
21:31You know, so I feel someone like Giannis Raceless will be one of those who would like to go out
21:36with a bang
21:36and just kind of go, right, there's my podium.
21:38Maybe even there's my Grand Prix victory.
21:39You know what?
21:40With the title on the line with a couple of riders potentially.
21:42Yeah, could happen.
21:44I mean, you saw how people were running each other off the track last year.
21:47Can't quite expect that between the two Triumph boys.
21:49But, yeah, Giannis Raceless, it's worst of the season last time out in Turkey.
21:52with that disqualification in race two.
21:54We'll look to finish his season on a better note than that.
21:58Kai Carsmakers crosses the line here in fifth place.
22:01Eight seconds down on Giannis Raceless.
22:03And he's actually squeezed between the two racial eyes.
22:06He's the filling in a racial sandwich there, isn't he?
22:08because Giannis in fourth, Carles in sixth.
22:11Oh, Kermit the Frog here in that sixth place.
22:15Kai Carsmakers in green.
22:17Yeah, the lone streak of green, of course,
22:19as we've missed Matisse Valheim since way back in that big crash in Portugal.
22:23And, yeah, Carsmakers flying the flag for Kawasaki,
22:26looking to be with Dixon Racing Team again next year.
22:29And, yeah, fifth this time would match his best result in a GP race,
22:33which he achieved last weekend.
22:35So, pretty decent.
22:36Is that Byron Dennis giving Simo Langenfelder a hard time?
22:39Is Byron Dennis.
22:40KTM Australia giving a Red Bull KTM rider.
22:43I just think the wheels have fallen off in this race for Simo Langenfelder.
22:46The championship has gone.
22:46He's been passed in quick succession.
22:48And it's pretty warm out there still,
22:50despite it looking quite grey and murky.
22:52It's hot, it's humid,
22:53and I just think he's lost his rhythm,
22:54and he's just finding it difficult
22:56to sort of get back on terms with himself mentally.
22:58And that is playing right in the hands here of Byron Dennis,
23:01who is eighth and sneaking up the inside for seventh.
23:04Good ride that from the Aussie.
23:06The 19-year-old flies on by.
23:10And, of course,
23:11Carlos Rezlis had already passed Langenfelder as well,
23:13so down to eighth now for the number one,
23:15and that is really not where you would expect him to be.
23:19He just seemed from the body language there of Langenfelder.
23:22Just no aggression.
23:22No aggression, no urgency, getting out of those corners.
23:27Mikola, five and a half seconds back.
23:29Is he going to find his way past Langenfelder
23:31as by the time the chequered flag falls?
23:33One rider who doesn't seem to be struggling
23:35is the number 99 of Guillaume Férez.
23:38Continues to lead the race,
23:39but that's come down to less than two seconds now
23:41between himself and Everts,
23:44who is 1.8 seconds behind on the Nastana Spana.
23:47Just chasing the dirt around these berms now,
23:49getting the distance,
23:50trying to stitch the track together perfectly,
23:52keep that flow, keep that rhythm going.
23:55Go and use the insides when you need to,
23:57but outsides when you kind of feel that you have to
23:59just to maintain a good rhythm.
24:02It's also good for the mind as well.
24:03When you have too much stop and start,
24:05it's just a little bit frustrating on the track.
24:09But he's just doing everything right at the moment.
24:12You see the points there on the left for the GP.
24:14Of course, McLennan looking to pick up Triumph's
24:1710th GP win of the season.
24:19He was untidy at the end of the wave zone,
24:22Férez, a moment ago.
24:24He was lucky to stay on two wheels
24:26because he went left and right in the last couple of waves
24:29and then went straight on in the turn
24:31and just got it pulled back before the yellow banners.
24:34So a bit of a moment there for Férez.
24:37The boards will be going out for Evers.
24:39If he passes Férez,
24:40that will be the GP win in his pocket
24:42if the Spaniard stays between Evers and McLennan.
24:46Of course, he's got to make the pass first
24:47to try and get that happening
24:49and put himself into a picture
24:51for his first GP win for well over a year.
24:56Down past pit lane.
24:57Watch this here.
24:57At the end of the waves,
24:58he just comes up there,
24:59he just folded the front actually
25:00and then it twitched
25:01and then the other way,
25:02hits the brakes,
25:03just gets it stopped in time.
25:06Lucky escape that for Férez.
25:09Yeah, Papa Stefan is here
25:10looking to cheer on Liam.
25:12Of course, that would dismiss
25:13any of the poor memories
25:15that the Everett family have of China
25:17after the horrendous back injury
25:19a couple of years ago
25:20that left him quite badly scarred
25:23and it would be really nice
25:24for them to bury that ghost
25:26and take a win here in China.
25:29Still nothing in it.
25:30Only 2.4 seconds
25:32between the first three.
25:33Four and a half minutes to go.
25:35This is lap 14.
25:37Race one was an 18 lapper
25:39and it was around about this time
25:40of the race
25:41where McLellan really started
25:42to come into his own
25:42and you can see him
25:43starting to close in
25:44on Liam Everett once again.
25:46Those last 10 minutes
25:47plus two laps,
25:48his forte.
25:50Yeah, he has to go now
25:51to make this happen
25:52unless he gets Everett
25:53in the next lap or two.
25:54You've got to think
25:55that Férez would have
25:55this one in his pocket
25:56trying to keep that
25:57championship gap
25:58to something that makes it
25:59fairly easy
26:00when we get to Australia.
26:01It's currently at 50 points
26:03if it finishes like this.
26:06Yeah, frantic action
26:08on track in this MX2 race
26:10at the moment.
26:12McLellan is getting closer.
26:14Give him that.
26:17Bringing the heat.
26:17There's no doubt about it.
26:18There are lines
26:19that have changed
26:20in this race
26:21compared to the previous one
26:22of course
26:22with the way they groomed it
26:23and just the general
26:24changing conditions
26:25that you usually get.
26:26So McLellan is adapting.
26:28He's got there
26:28and Langerfelder now
26:29has just fallen prey
26:30to Micula
26:31amazingly down to ninth.
26:37What a contrasting seasons
26:38that Simon Langerfelder
26:39has had this year.
26:41But they do say
26:42it's harder to defend
26:43the championship
26:43than to go and win it.
26:44But then tell that
26:45to somebody like
26:46Joel Robert.
26:47Obviously he won one,
26:48lost a few
26:49and then went
26:50five in a row.
26:51Cairoli won six in a row.
26:52Evertz won six in a row
26:53en route to their
26:54nine and ten championships
26:55respectively.
26:56Jeffrey Herlings
26:56is a six-time winner now
26:58in MXGP
26:59and MX2 combined.
27:00Three each.
27:04And of course Jeffrey
27:05only able to successfully
27:06defend once
27:07amazingly through
27:07that entire career.
27:11The intent for McLellan
27:12there.
27:12You can see
27:13the aggressive way
27:14he pushed the bike
27:14back to the ground.
27:15Got to get the power
27:16on.
27:16Got to get past
27:17Evertz.
27:19All three in the shot
27:21again.
27:22So it's close
27:23racing here in China
27:24but for McLellan
27:25it's just starting
27:26to look a bit
27:27more unlikely.
27:28I think Perez
27:29is in control of this.
27:30He looks quite cool,
27:31quite calm.
27:33McLellan knows
27:34he has to
27:34try and keep
27:36I'm sure he's done
27:37the maths and things
27:37like that.
27:38He will know
27:38that this will go
27:39back out to 50 points
27:40between him
27:41and his teammate
27:42as it was
27:43at the start
27:43of the weekend.
27:44Oh, the mistake
27:45there from Evertz.
27:46He just spins up
27:47and McLellan
27:47an easy pass
27:48in the end.
27:49Now he has free reign
27:50to go after his teammate
27:51to try and reduce
27:52that gap even further.
27:54Remember it was 45
27:55going into race two.
27:58He's going to come down
27:59to 43 now.
28:03Watch this here.
28:04Evertz,
28:04he's done everything right.
28:05Just overshoots there.
28:07Runs the front end,
28:08the outside of the berm
28:09and it was just still
28:10a little bit wet
28:11underneath there.
28:12It's a shade of Turkey.
28:13Just what he did
28:14in front of McLellan
28:15in the Turkish GP there.
28:16Just made that small mistake
28:17that gave it to McLellan
28:18nice and easy.
28:19Now, can Camden
28:20use this in the remaining
28:21two laps and a bit?
28:22Maybe three laps?
28:25and Camden
28:26will be wanting
28:26to give his three laps
28:27to give himself
28:27an extra effort
28:28to try and catch
28:29for Rez.
28:30This could be a hot one
28:31all the way to the close.
28:32A minute and a half to go
28:33plus those two laps
28:35of course.
28:37Down past pit lane.
28:39There's Merez,
28:39there's McLellan.
28:40Getting closer.
28:42I'll tell you what,
28:43he's in the box seat,
28:44isn't he?
28:44Camden McLellan
28:45just as he was
28:45in race one.
28:47Growing in confidence
28:48every turn,
28:48every lap.
28:50Ferez knows though
28:52that even
28:5340-ish points
28:54going into the final round
28:55he'd rather be
28:5640-ish up
28:57than 40-ish down.
29:00Yeah, you're then
29:00just praying
29:01that nothing goes wrong
29:02really,
29:02but if it stays like this
29:04it would be 48
29:05that gap.
29:07And actually
29:07at the start of the race
29:08he didn't need
29:08to get himself
29:09involved in any
29:10altercations
29:11with Simon Langenfelder
29:12but he did.
29:13He muscled his way
29:13through,
29:14just asserted
29:14and flexes
29:15asserted his authority
29:16flexed his muscles
29:17put Langenfelder
29:19in his place
29:19and of course
29:19then McLellan
29:20did the same
29:22went by him
29:22and that was
29:24the race falling apart
29:25for Langenfelder
29:26at that.
29:26He's now down
29:27to 10th as well
29:27behind Maxime Groh
29:29amazingly
29:29real,
29:31real destruction
29:32for Langenfelder
29:33there.
29:34Zanke is next up
29:34but he's
29:356 seconds back.
29:37Right,
29:38two triumphs
29:38coming towards us
29:41and that gap
29:42is pretty much
29:43down to nothing
29:44now.
29:44There they are.
29:45the distance
29:46between the
29:47takeoff of the jump
29:48and the landing
29:48of the jump
29:48which is not a lot
29:51McLellan will believe
29:52just like he did
29:52in race one
29:53that he can win
29:53this one
29:54take another
29:541-1
29:55just as he did
29:56at Lommel
29:56the round of
29:57Flanders
29:59round 14
30:00this is round 18
30:01of course
30:30but you know
30:32out of this race
30:32out of this race
30:33unable to fight
30:34for the championship
30:34that is it
30:35it's between
30:35these two
30:36so incredible
30:37in their third
30:39year of racing
30:40amazing work
30:41for the triumph
30:42concern.
30:43so no matter what
30:45as we enter
30:46the penultimate lap
30:47here in China
30:49triumph
30:50whether it's
30:51Perez
30:52or McLellan
30:54will be crowned
30:55world champion
30:55next weekend
30:56at the final round
30:58in Australia
31:00but who will win
31:01the Grand Prix
31:01here in China
31:02that is the big
31:03question
31:04McLellan is in
31:05control at the
31:05moment
31:05but he wants to
31:06win it
31:06with a double
31:07race win
31:08his teammate
31:09wants to keep
31:10him back there
31:10in that second
31:11position
31:11saying you want
31:12to come past
31:13me
31:13you either got
31:13to come through
31:14me
31:14or come through
31:15me
31:16they're the two
31:17options
31:18so I'm not
31:19going to leave
31:19the door open
31:20for you
31:23brilliant stuff
31:23in these two
31:24just like a
31:24training run
31:25back at home
31:25except DeSala
31:26isn't there
31:26to give the
31:27young boys
31:27as a whip
31:28in Everts
31:28is not out
31:29of it
31:29fastest lap
31:30of the race
31:30still
31:30for the
31:31Belgian
31:32but it is
31:33close
31:33this could
31:33be the
31:3410th GP win
31:34for Triumph
31:35this season
31:35it could be
31:36their 4th 1-2
31:37and their 8th
31:38double podium
31:38but who is
31:39going to be
31:39out on top
31:40that's the
31:40big question
31:41well DeSala
31:41is here
31:42he's here
31:42doing laps
31:43of the track
31:43on the infield
31:44he's on the
31:45headset
31:45with the crew
31:47he's just
31:47not doing
31:48laps
31:48on the track
31:48with them
31:49keeping them
31:50honest
31:52no McLellan
31:53is still there
31:55he's wondering
31:56with that
31:56medical flag
31:56to score
31:57who hasn't
31:57come through
31:58the timing
31:58he's not
31:59sure
32:00Michael has
32:01crashed
32:01he's dropped
32:01down to
32:0211th
32:02he was
32:02in 8th
32:03place
32:05and that's
32:06him
32:07down on the
32:08deck there
32:08Julius
32:08Mikula
32:09picking himself
32:10up
32:10but
32:12Mikula
32:13out
32:13with 2
32:14to go
32:15meanwhile
32:15at the
32:15head of the
32:15field
32:16still
