00:00Hello then, a very good morning to you on this Thursday morning, which is cooler across England and Wales relative
00:06to the beginning of the week.
00:08But further north, still some sherry bursts. A ridge of high pressure comes in through the day though, so the
00:12winds will turn lighter.
00:13Many areas will be dry, but still some sherry rain affecting the north and the west of Scotland through Friday.
00:19Elsewhere, some fine weather to end the working week before this rain arrives across the northern half of the UK
00:25into Saturday.
00:26A brisk breeze with showers to follow. Across more southern areas, no appreciable rain and we will see just one
00:33or two light showers into Sunday.
00:35Now for the time being, you can see that brisk breeze running down the eastern side of Scotland.
00:39Still rather breezy further west, but the winds will gradually ease.
00:43Showery rain then tends to lose its intensity as it drifts towards the North Sea.
00:48And that means through the morning, a mix of clouds and brighter moments.
00:52Winds are lighter across England and Wales. There's a small chance of one or two isolated showers.
00:58And certainly a few scattered showers can't be ruled out across Northern Ireland as well as the far north-west
01:03of Scotland.
01:03For many though, it's a dry afternoon and a fine one.
01:06But look at these temperatures. Around average for this time of year, if not slightly lower.
01:10So the high teens across Scotland and Northern Ireland, as well as Northern England, North Wales.
01:14But at the south, we'll see 20 to 22 degrees Celsius. So many degrees lower than the beginning of the
01:20week.
01:21It's going to feel a little fresher, but pleasantly warm in shelter with some sunshine.
01:25Through this evening, pleasant for many as well before the cloud thickens yet again across more northern and western areas.
01:31A few showers running in across Pennines as well as Western Scotland.
01:34And it could cluster together to form some longer spells of rain across the far north-west of Scotland into
01:39the early hours of Friday morning.
01:40A look at these temperatures. Comfortable for sleeping across England and Wales.
01:449 to 12 degrees Celsius. 11 to 12 across Scotland and Northern Ireland across the towns and cities.
01:50Now into Friday morning. First of all, let's pick up on that fine weather across much of England and Wales.
01:54A few light showers across Northern England.
01:57For Southern Scotland, shelter spots of Northern Ireland.
01:59Yes, you'll see some fine weather, if not some sunshine coming through.
02:03But showery rain gathers across Western and Northern Scotland, gradually edging in through the day.
02:08And we'll see that brisk breeze continuing.
02:10But through the afternoon, some sunshine likely across Northern Ireland.
02:14A mix of cloud building through the middle part of the day, even so some sunnier moments.
02:18And across England and Wales, Southern Scotland, yes, you'll see some lovely weather.
02:22Pleasantly warm in that sunshine.
02:24Temperatures 20 to 24 degrees Celsius with that sunshine coming through through the evening time.
02:29Showers remain to the north as the central belt then, as we head through the latter part of the afternoon
02:34across Scotland.
02:36So that's the picture through tomorrow.
02:38Now into the weekend, you can see low pressure sitting towards the northwest of the UK, delivering cloud and also
02:43some outbreaks of rain.
02:45We hang on to dry weather across central and eastern areas.
02:47And temperatures spiking yet again across England and Wales.
02:50Up to around 22 to 27 Celsius on Saturday into Sunday.
02:54A blusky breeze across Scotland and Northern Ireland.
02:57Fresher here with some passing showers.
03:00So here's your outlook through Saturday.
03:01You can see where the rain is.
03:02Some residual showers just moving in across the northwest of England, northern parts of Wales.
03:07But temperatures across central and southern areas, 24 to 27 degrees Celsius.
03:12So all in all, yes, we will see some wet weather.
03:14But it's mostly across more northern and northwestern areas.
03:18Showers follow on Sunday.
03:19Again, they'll be frequent across the northwest, the north, the south and east.
03:23You could catch one.
03:24But temperatures yet again rising to around 27 across the home counties.
03:28So, yes, temperatures are on the up across more southern areas.
03:32And you'll see some wet weather in the north.
03:34Wherever you are, take care.
03:35Have a lovely day.
