Transcript
00:00Hello then a very good morning to you on this Thursday morning a mix of cloud and
00:05sunshine settled conditions yet again for most away from the far north and
00:10northwest where we'll see more clouds if I just step the other way you can say
00:14that's where the high pressure is exerting an influence across the country
00:18keeping things mostly fine today but it is declining towards the far south and
00:24we'll see weather fronts continue to move in initially just making inroads
00:28across the north and west of Scotland however notice this one here is pushing
00:32in through Friday night and into Saturday it's an active weather front bringing
00:37more rain a few spits and spots further south some sherry bursts with showers to
00:41follow but significantly the air turns fresher even further south so although
00:46on Saturday we'll see temperatures up to the high 20s yet again a good four
00:50degrees lower as we head through to Sunday more details on that in a moment
00:54so a northwesterly breeze yes changing the feel of the weather and in fact
00:59through this morning you can see a fair amount of cloud the cloud will break at
01:03times one or two showers just skirting the east coast we see more clouds and
01:08some patchy rain and drizzle across the far northwest there through the morning
01:11though the cloud breaks so we'll see some sunshine coming through much of Wales
01:17much of central and southern parts of England and even further north in fact for
01:20central and eastern areas of Scotland through the morning into the
01:23afternoon it warms up nicely with some sunshine for Northern Ireland spits and
01:28spots in the breeze across the far north in shelter you should see some brighter
01:31breaks and across the far north and northwest of Scotland yes some drizzly
01:35showers fairly scattered here and even here you could see some brighter skies
01:39coming through during the afternoon here are your temperatures then
01:43probably around 23 degrees Celsius for central and eastern areas of Scotland 20 or
01:4921 in shelter across Northern Ireland and then for Northern England eastern England
01:54coming in around 23 24 Celsius so warm in that sunshine but very warm further south
02:00and southeast highest values probably 27 28 Celsius we could see a spot to 29
02:06somewhere with some high UV levels so through this evening pleasant for many with
02:12some late sunshine but notice this weather front here with a brisk breeze bringing
02:16some outbreaks of mostly right light rain to the north and northwest of Scotland
02:21making inroads down towards central areas into the early hours of Friday morning
02:26extends towards the far north of Northern Ireland as well with a few drizzly showers
02:30here and temperatures are still relatively warm across more southern areas so a fairly warm night for say
02:38South Wales central southern southeastern areas of England but where we see one or two holes in the clouds across
02:44rural spots of say
02:45northern England southern Scotland mid Wales temperatures could dip down to high
02:50single figures so into tomorrow morning here's that weather front a fairly weak
02:56affair bringing more cloud to Northern Ireland as well as Scotland some showers
03:01associated with it they'll become scattered through the afternoon a fine day
03:05across England and Wales clouds drifting across the sky we'll see some sunshine
03:09coming through so warm if not very warm here and even across the far north and northwest of Scotland
03:15where you've been played with cloud and patchy rain through the last few days in shelter we could
03:21see 19 20 degrees Celsius with some breaks and for Northern Ireland yes a brighter afternoon to come
03:2721 degrees Celsius here similar situation for the central belt for Northern England 22 Celsius and then
03:33temperatures rise very quickly through the afternoon across more central and southern areas
03:3827 28 29 Celsius so another very warm day here with some strong sunshine as that cloud breaks
03:46here's your outlook through Saturday outbreaks of rain come in across the north as well as the
03:52northwest slowly pushing southwards and then we hang on to fine and dry and very warm weather south and
03:59south eastwards with some sunshine coming through so that's the picture on Saturday now through Sunday it looks like this
04:06notice the
04:07temperatures across more central and southern areas a good four if not five degrees lower than what we have been
04:13experiencing and there will be some showers in the mix they'll be fairly scattered but even so a fresher feel
04:20to things
04:20with temperatures coming in around the high teens for Scotland and a cool northwest wind
04:26wherever you are have a lovely day today and I'll see you again soon
