00:00Hello there and a very good morning to you on this Wednesday morning, which is fine for
00:05most, a few fleeting showers, but rain will arrive later across the north west.
00:11You can see it pushing in as we head through Wednesday.
00:13Some heavier pulses are likely and the wind will be a key feature of this weather as we
00:18head through Wednesday evening overnight and into Thursday.
00:21Gusty over the hills, you can see some gales across the far north west as this trailing
00:25front brings clouds and a little rain to England and Wales.
00:29And then we arrive at some fine weather as a ridge of high pressure extends from the
00:33southwest.
00:34So a better day to come on Thursday with some fine conditions.
00:38Some light showers though in the north as well as the west.
00:42Now through this morning, some clearer skies across central and eastern areas, a few light
00:47showers further west where the cloud is thick enough.
00:50But as we head through the morning, notice the cloud is thickening all the while across
00:54Northern Ireland and Western Scotland.
00:56We will see some showers break out across England and Wales, eastern areas of Scotland through
01:01the day but they will be scattered.
01:03And then this rain, patchy at first, turns heavier through the afternoon, particularly
01:07across the north of Northern Ireland and Western Scotland.
01:10Notice those winds picking up.
01:11Well you catch the sunshine, 24, 25 across England and Wales, probably a 20 for eastern Scotland,
01:1819 or 20 further north and west.
01:20The air is relatively humid.
01:23Now into Wednesday evening and overnight, that rain could be heavy at times, certainly pushing
01:28its way across the far north and east of Scotland.
01:31And we'll see some rain, showery bursts across Northern England as well as Wales.
01:35Notice these winds will pick up some strength.
01:38Gusty as well into Thursday, particularly over the hills and mountains, as the bulk of that
01:44rain clears towards Shetland as well as Orkney.
01:46Again, a few residual showers are likely further south as well as southwest.
01:51Temperatures holding up.
01:52A bit more of a muggy night into Thursday morning.
01:55So Thursday morning looks like this.
01:57A lot of clouds to start the day.
01:59Low misty cloud at that, particularly across Irish seacoast.
02:02Murky conditions across Western Scotland as well.
02:04And then this northwesterly wind brings with it showers.
02:07The rain across more southern areas will tend to fade away, never really amounting to very
02:12much.
02:12And then the sun will come out.
02:14So through the afternoon, a fine afternoon for most.
02:17Still breezy across the north as well as the west.
02:20So for Scotland in particular.
02:22And those temperatures on the ups across more central and southeastern areas.
02:26And that will be the name of the game through the next few days.
02:28We're likely to see some higher temperatures across England and Wales, perhaps 27 for the
02:33home counties and warming up where you catch some brighter skies across Scotland and Northern
02:38Ireland 20 or 21.
02:40Still some showers in the mix across the northwest of Scotland and then through Friday fine for most.
02:45But later on in the day, this area of rain arrives and then the rain will pep
02:49up as we see the cold front push through.
02:52Again, the winds will pick up some strength.
02:54So into Saturday, some showery bursts to start the day, particularly across Scotland, Northern
02:58Ireland, Northern England.
02:59Some fine weather further south.
03:00And those temperatures are rising all the while.
03:03So very warm, particularly across more central and southern areas wherever you are.
03:07Have a lovely day.
