00:00We did start the show. Nick Padone in for Lima today.
00:03You got texts on Saturday from somebody.
00:06I got texts on Saturday.
00:07See, my Saturday was fine. I had a perfectly fine Saturday.
00:10I was having a good Saturday until these texts came across.
00:14You watched The Guardian, I watched The Guardians, and then we watched that Hail Mary movie.
00:17Did you ever see Hail Mary, Owen?
00:19The Project Hail Mary movie?
00:21Is that what it is?
00:22Yeah, with Ryan Gosling.
00:23Ken, it's the best movie I've ever seen.
00:25Oh my god, it couldn't have ended soon enough.
00:27Oh my god, it was three hours. I was counting down the seconds.
00:31Ken, that's going to win Best Picture.
00:32I think some people are wondering whether or not they're going to count down the seconds to this.
00:35This is Adam Schefter, because my day got kind of ruined yesterday.
00:38But I told you guys we had some audio here, and I told you it's 7.02, and it's still
00:417.02.
00:42So here is Adam Schefter on my buddy John Kincaid's show, 97.5, the fanatic in Philly,
00:50about the future of Myles Garrett and whether or not he could end up being a Philadelphia Eagle.
00:55There are names like Myles Garrett that are on the rumor mill, let's put it that way.
01:01Right.
01:02Any chance that the Eagles would be interested in a Myles Garrett, or that potentially a move for A.J.
01:10Brown to pick up more assets could involve sniffing around Myles Garrett?
01:14I do not expect that at all. I do not expect the Eagles to be in a Myles Garrett. I
01:20don't expect that to be the case.
01:22I think that they'll take the compensation they get back for A.J. Brown, and that will give them additional
01:27flexibility in the future.
01:28I do not expect that to be with Myles Garrett.
01:30Do you believe that Myles Garrett, though, that people are sniffing around and maybe that Myles Garrett will be moved
01:37to somewhere else?
01:38Well, look, here's the thing. That's a very unusual situation there. The fact that he has not shown up there,
01:45he has not seen Todd Monk in person, that's a little odd to me.
01:50But, again, I'm not expecting that the Philadelphia Eagles are going to pursue anything there.
01:55So, that's Adam Schefter on 97.5, the Fanatic in Philly. He says the Eagles probably aren't going to make
02:01a pursuit of him.
02:03Owen has something to say about it. Just real quick, I think that what he's saying is things that I've
02:09denied this entire time.
02:11The not meeting Todd Monk in person is peculiar, but I've looked at his behavior before.
02:16Or, excuse me, his schedule before in the offseason, Nick, in the offseason schedule is kind of lined up with
02:24some of the things that he's done before.
02:26So, that's how I've made myself feel better about it.
02:28But now we're getting down to the nitty-gritty.
02:30And, again, when phones are starting to light up here over the weekend, you have to start making amends here
02:35of the possibility.
02:36But my issue is, Nick, I don't want to sit here and do this every day over the summer.
02:43One, I'm bothered by it, which there's people who don't believe that, but I'm bothered by it.
02:47I don't know why you wouldn't after all these years.
02:49I'm bothered by doing it.
02:50Two, I just don't think it's healthy for anybody involved.
02:53I think there's two things here.
02:55I think the first thing is it was starting to get really fishy to me about, like, two weeks ago
03:02with the whole not meeting Todd Monk in real life.
03:06I was standing there at that Monk in availability when he was asked, you know, for the record, have you
03:12had that face-to-face interaction with Miles yet?
03:15And Todd's response was, Miles Garrett?
03:18Nope.
03:19And every other question that Todd had fielded, Ken, it was like a podcast with Todd Monk in more than
03:26it was a media scrum or a post-OTA practice availability.
03:30He was cutting off reporters.
03:32He was so excited.
03:33He was overpouring with excitement to answer questions about Deshaun Watson and Denzel Boston.
03:38But the topic of Miles Garrett comes up, and everybody in Berea tightens up.
03:44So I definitely thought two weeks ago it was fishy.
03:47And then I was relaying that on this station over these last two weeks that I thought that there was
03:52something afoot here.
03:53I think that it's a little weird and it's starting to stink.
03:55And then I start getting messages on Saturday that lead me to believe that something could happen before this mandatory
04:01minicamp even rolls around on June 9th.
04:04Like, maybe the reason Miles hasn't met his coaching staff yet is because he doesn't have to, folks.
04:08And I know there's a lot of people that just believe that we're talking about this because we have nothing
04:11else to talk about.
04:12And that's not – I'm here to tell you that's not the case.
04:15There is something going on with this.
04:19John wanted to have a fight with me about Project Hail Mary, so obviously there's other things to discuss.
04:23Yes, Owen?
04:23Well, yes, of course.
04:24I think it was pretty interesting.
04:26That's 58 seconds of Adam Schefter audio.
04:29Two questions asked.
04:30The first one was about the Philadelphia Eagles.
04:32It was, no, it's not happening to Philadelphia.
04:36And then the second question was, well, do you think he's going to get traded?
04:40And then it went, well, you know, he didn't talk to his coaches.
04:42And there was never a yes or a no.
04:45There was, yep.
04:46There was a lot of walking around.
04:47There was a lot of, let me look over here while I do this.
04:50A lot of prestige happening.
04:51A lot of dancing.
04:53A lot of dancing around with that.
04:55And it wasn't, I don't even think he was dancing around the question.
04:58I just think he was saying some things where there's possibly some irons in the fire.
05:03And I didn't hear anything about the Philadelphia Eagles, I'll tell you that.
05:06I didn't hear anything about that in terms of them.
05:09I heard of a team out west.
05:12And the person I heard it from is a pretty damn good source, to be honest with you.
05:16So that's where it came from.
05:17And I don't say this to upset anybody.
05:18I don't want to upset anybody.
05:19I just look at it for what it is.
05:22And I've been in denial this entire time.
05:24In denial.
05:25Owen, you can specify to it.
05:27I think anybody else can.
05:28I have sat there and said that this is his usual schedule.
05:31I said it's not weird that he was at the Cavs game.
05:34Didn't say anything to Todd Munkin.
05:36Todd Munkin, the Munkin man's answers, have been basically the Munkin man's answers.
05:39What started to honestly throw me off was last week.
05:41And some people say, ah, you're looking for a mountain out of a molehill there.
05:44But the Mike Rutenberg answer where he kind of humm-a-humm-a-humm-a-humm-a-humm-a
05:49and answered the secondary question, answered the follow-up question before the first question
05:52was answered about talking to Miles Garrett, that seemed to throw me off.
05:57What kind of interaction have you had with Miles Garrett?
05:59Yeah, of course, knew that would be a question.
06:03I'm going to leave a lot of that interaction between me and Miles.
06:07There has been some.
06:08There has been some, yes.
06:11And so, I understand that there have been people who have said, well, he can just end it himself.
06:19For Miles, there's other ways that this can go.
06:23Where I've said that it doesn't help him to end all this.
06:27If it comes down to it, he could sign it.
06:29Guys, he could very well, with all that's being said right now over this hour,
06:33he could go out there and he could just sign another contract with the Cleveland Browns.
06:37And that, Nick, might be fine.
06:38He played the same cards that he played last year, you're saying?
06:41Yes, or because he has a no trade clause in his contract, he could just go right ahead and go,
06:47hey, keep talking.
06:48See if somebody actually hits the phones over this.
06:50Maybe it is an awkward situation.
06:52Maybe it is a situation where I would have read.
06:54I don't know if I'd want to pull up stakes and just leave a football team over Jim Schwartz for
06:59crying out loud.
07:00That's why I think that some of that seems to be bogus.
07:03And I'll probably say that if a trade is consummated because I think that coaches come and go
07:08and nobody knows that more than Miles Garrett.
07:10So I think it all being over Jim Schwartz to me seems to be a little bit silly.
07:13I think that this is a guy who's done everything that he feels he can do with the Cleveland Browns.
07:18And now, if an opportunity arises somewhere else, I think he's going to try to seize that opportunity.
07:24So that's kind of where I think I am on things with him.
07:27And if that opportunity is not good enough, then I don't think, I don't, he will come out,
07:32he will put together a supreme effort so I don't have any question that he's going to walk around
07:37or half-ass or anything like that.
07:39He's not going to do that.
07:40But obviously, the less he talks, Nick, the better it is for his business personally.
07:46Yeah, because you know he's enjoying this.
07:49You know, you know he's enjoying that there is this chatter.
07:52He could have put this to bed months ago.
07:56It would have been as easy when he was courtside at the Cavs game
07:59and then they had the, you know, workouts in Berea the next day.
08:02You don't even need to go work out.
08:04Go through the building, go up to the coach's office, shake the coach's hand,
08:09real quick, small talk, hey, Todd, I like dinosaurs.
08:13Hey, Miles, I like horses.
08:15And then you're about your day and you could say that you've met in real life.
08:19They could have put this to bed weeks ago, a month ago.
08:22And the fact that Miles didn't kind of shows me that he kind of enjoys this a little bit.
08:27And the more that I come to think about it,
08:31have they really settled what his bone to pick with the organization was last year?
08:36That they don't have a quarterback?
08:39I don't think so.
08:40They didn't do anything this offseason to cure Miles' biggest concern with the organization.
08:45And that's that, okay, yeah, maybe they took a step forward,
08:48but they're not competing for a Super Bowl this year.
08:51I think even our most optimistic, most passionate, delusional Browns fans would admit,
08:57okay, even if you've got them going to the playoffs,
08:59they're probably not winning a Super Bowl this year.
09:00Miles wants to win a Super Bowl.
09:022-1-6-4-7-4-0-0-92, are you willing to trade away Miles Garrett here?
09:07Because the stuff that Schefter says, Owen saw right through it.
09:12I've got to admit, guys, I'm trying to stick my head in the sand in so many ways
09:14because I don't want it to happen because I don't want to waste a season.
09:18But if I'm saying it's a seven-win season, the season seems to be wasted anyway.
09:212-1-6-4-7-4-0-0-92.
09:24Because I hear Schefter, it seems to be a resounding no about the Eagles.
09:29What could they offer back in return? I'm not sure.
09:33With other teams, though, I think it's a possibility.
09:35And he did not rule out the possibility of that happening.
09:39And I don't want to turn this on because I think that we can do this
09:43and do it for the best of all worlds if we're actually going to do this.
09:47But I don't want to turn Miles into the biggest villain in the history of villains.
09:51That's why I'm not mad at Miles for not saying anything.
09:54I understand it's his business.
09:55I understand that, and I've said this before, the less he says,
09:59the better it probably is for his business to go out there and to not say anything
10:03considering the ramifications that happened last year when he went out
10:07and went on Radio Row at the Super Bowl and all those other things.
10:10I think that there's a possibility that the more he says,
10:14the more it can end up blowing up in his face.
10:16You think he learned from that?
10:17You think he learned, hey, I went out last year and I did my spectacle on Radio Row
10:22where I pulled out a flamethrower and I torched the organization.
10:25Well, had he got injured, he got me nothing.
10:27Well, he got a contract, so that was one thing.
10:29But had he got injured, there I think is some pushback with the fan base.
10:33He could have got that contract without doing that on Radio Row.
10:35This is Miles Garrett we're talking about.
10:36He had won the Defensive Player of the Year.
10:38Now he's won two back-to-back Defensive Player of the Year.
10:41He could have got that contract without going torched earth on the Browns.
10:44I wonder if he learned from that Radio Row experience that that didn't get me my way,
10:49that didn't get me what I wanted, and now I'm going to try to go about it the right way.
10:55I'm going to have the backdoor conversations with Andrew Barry
10:58because Barry's been in contact with Miles.
11:02We know that.
11:03Yeah.
11:04What we're going to do here, I texted Danny.
11:07Danny's going to move back to 740.
11:09216-474-0092.
11:10I want to get to you guys on this.
11:12Is this a move that you think is imminent?
11:15Is this a move that you think needs to be made?
11:17Could your relationship as a Browns fan be injured if Miles Garrett ends up being moved
11:25at the end of business today or if they come together with an agreement today
11:28that's supposed to be at the end of business today?
11:30Because it's supposed to be post-June 1st.
11:32They can't agree to something in principle before 4 o'clock today.
11:35Again, I don't think anything's going to happen by 11 o'clock today
11:39when they speak to the media at the golf outing for crying out loud,
11:42but they're a crazy franchise.
11:44I've been wrong before about them, yes.
11:46Well, they can agree before 4.
11:47They can't do anything about it.
11:49They just can't consummate the trade, but they can agree to it before 4.
11:52I just don't know if they're going to go out there and talk and then go,
11:56okay, well.
11:56They're not going to put their business out there.
11:57Now we're going to go play golf while everybody's wondering
12:01what the hell's going on with the organization.
12:02Miles Garrett, though, that people are sniffing around
12:06and maybe that Miles Garrett will be moved to somewhere else?
12:10Well, look, here's the thing.
12:11That's a very unusual situation there.
12:14The fact that he has not shown up there,
12:17he has not seen Todd Malkin in person,
12:20that's a little odd to me.
12:22But, again, I'm not expecting that the Philadelphia Eagles
12:25are going to pursue anything there.
12:26Just for the record, have you had any face-to-face with Garrett yet?
12:30Miles?
12:31Yeah.
12:33Well, the second piece of audio was definitely Todd Malkin
12:37answering questions about talking to Miles Garrett.
12:39The first clip was Adam Schefter, 97.5, the fanatic,
12:42on our buddy John Kincaid's show just about 40 minutes ago
12:46about the possibilities of Miles Garrett joining the Philadelphia Eagles,
12:51says nothing, and then leaves it basically open-ended
12:53that there's definitely other moves in the mix.
12:56We're in an impossible situation.
12:58Nick Padone in for Anthony Lyman today.
12:59Now, Nick, I've accused you of this as a person who just likes to be yelled at
13:04at times over some of the opinions that you've said,
13:06but you've enjoyed it, whatever.
13:08I don't think that you're out there trying to upset anybody.
13:10I'm not out there trying to upset anybody.
13:12I'm left in an impossible position.
13:14You can speak for how you want.
13:16I want to wait.
13:18I want to wait and see what could happen this year
13:22before we really explore the whole thing of trading him.
13:27But there's plenty of people who go, Kenny, you're being unrealistic.
13:30Okay.
13:31I would like to wait.
13:33I also don't like being told that we're just making things up
13:36to get through the day.
13:37Guys, I can sit here and talk about Evan Mobley and LeBron James,
13:41and we're going to talk to Danny Cunningham about that at 740.
13:44There's a lot to get into other than this.
13:46But when we're getting texts over the weekend,
13:48Nick got them on Saturday.
13:49I got them yesterday.
13:51I didn't know you even got texts about this.
13:53No offense, Nick.
13:54I don't know you that well yet.
13:56It puts a paw on the day.
13:58It puts a paw on the show.
13:59And it could be a conversation that we could end up looking at,
14:02and they don't make a move,
14:03and then we could figure out we just wasted an entire morning.
14:07Now, there is possibilities that they could agree to something this morning
14:10and then make that move after the close of business today,
14:13which would be 4 o'clock Eastern,
14:15that they could agree to some sort of move after the close of business.
14:18Technically, that would be post-June 1st.
14:20However, to bring everybody up to speed on my theory,
14:23I don't know if they'd do it right now this morning,
14:25considering that they're going to be talking to the media at 11 o'clock
14:27during their golf outing.
14:30So I don't know if everybody's going to want to be standing there
14:32holding their three woods while they're talking about
14:35Miles Garrett possibly being on the move.
14:38It's something, though, that I think that just bothers everybody
14:41for one way or another.
14:42So I kind of want to ask, are you ready yet to make this move?
14:45Are you ready right now to make a move?
14:47And I think so many people are going, hey, and this is another part where it's at.
14:51Am I going to get red-faced and start kicking and screaming
14:53if whoever texts us from the West Coast ends up telling me
15:00that they're going to get three first-round picks back?
15:02How can I scream and yell and stomp my feet
15:05unless I have absolutely zero faith whatsoever in the Cleveland Browns?
15:09Then that point is the relationship cannot be fixed.
15:13As a Browns fan, it just cannot be fixed.
15:16Because if you were looking at it and go, well, we can get another player
15:18or we can finally get that quarterback of what it is,
15:21the only time you would ever have faith is if you're in a position
15:24to draft a guy like Miles Garrett, where we've said for years,
15:27Nick, anybody could have drafted Miles Garrett.
15:29Yeah.
15:29You know, you could have drafted Miles.
15:31I could have drafted Miles.
15:33Foghorn Leghorn could have walked up to the podium
15:35and drafted Miles Garrett.
15:36He was the number one pick that year with a bullet.
15:38I don't care what anybody has said afterwards.
15:41But this is what adds the intrigue to it here is going,
15:43how good do you think this team is actually going to be?
15:46And how much do you like Todd Monken?
15:47Because this is a significant challenge if they were to make a move here today.
15:52Yeah.
15:52You know, I don't like getting yelled at on social media a lot.
15:56It feels like it just ends up happening to me a good deal.
16:00It's not something that I actively seek out.
16:03I was like you, Kenny.
16:05Like, I thought this Miles thing was fishy.
16:07And that's really all that I thought that it was
16:09because I know that Miles has done this before
16:11where he skipped the voluntary OTAs.
16:13I did look back, though, to Kevin Stefanski's first voluntary OTAs
16:18and Miles did show up.
16:19And I thought that was a little bit strange.
16:21But really, I just thought the whole conversation was strange.
16:24And then I start getting these text messages on Saturday
16:27and I tell my fiancee Cameron, I'm like, you know what?
16:31This figures.
16:32I'm like, you know, my life is starting to come into picture for me here.
16:35We're about to get married at the end of the month.
16:37I'm getting these cool insider texts.
16:39I'm filling in with you on the Ken Carman Show Monday.
16:42Like, things are looking up.
16:44Only if the contents of said texts were not the worst thing that I've ever read.
16:49And that's talking about a Miles Garrett trade.
16:52And, like, I can't sit here and sell that to fans right now
16:55because I've been trying to sell to fans that I thought the Browns were further along
16:59than a lot of people wanted to say.
17:00I thought this was a team that could be on the fringe of the playoff picture
17:04in the AFC this coming season.
17:05I got to park all that, though.
17:08Like, all that's parked until I know what's going on with these texts that I got on Saturday.
17:13All of it's parked.
17:15I can't sit here and say that they're more ahead in the rebuild
17:19than what people want to give them credit for.
17:21That's seriously what I was telling people after the draft.
17:24I said, look at last year's draft class.
17:25Look at this year's draft class.
17:27You got a coach that's preaching we're going to win right away
17:30while we're developing the nucleus of this thing.
17:32I was so optimistic.
17:33I was flying high about the Cleveland Browns.
17:36I really was.
17:37I've been at practice.
17:38I thought Todd has been such a breath of fresh air.
17:41They know how to knock us down a couple of pegs, though,
17:43because I feel this morning I got a hole in my stomach, kind of.
17:47I have fought this kicking and screaming all winter.
17:52Not as much kicking, but definitely screaming.
17:55And I think I've reacted the way a lot of fans have reacted.
17:58I thought that this was a waste of air.
18:00I thought it was a waste of our time.
18:01I thought it was a waste of the listeners' time for these possibilities out there.
18:06I think there's a lot of people who still feel it's a waste of time.
18:08They don't want to hear it.
18:09And it got to a point last week where I could not deny it any longer
18:14that this was a little bit weird.
18:15To the point, I mean, I had our boss, Keith.
18:17I think Keith's an instigator in a ball buster in his own way.
18:20But, I mean, he had it himself.
18:22He'd go, Kenny, you can't sit here and be in denial this entire time.
18:24You can't just – he's like, I know you don't like to upset people.
18:28I know you don't like to upset Browns fans for that matter.
18:30But you can't sit here and be in denial about this.
18:33That once Rutenberg had said something or kind of went around it in so many ways
18:38and was basically like Kato Kaelin up there that I couldn't deny it any longer.
18:45I could not deny that there's definitely some sort of weird conversation that's out there.
18:51Now, that all said, this is a very difficult decision to make.
18:55I don't know for sure that there's an offer to be made.
18:58I think that there's been offers that have been made out there.
19:01In fact, I know from one of the texts that I've gotten that there definitely has been some.
19:04It would be a very awkward week next week if Miles Garrett is still there.
19:08But it's certainly less awkward than Miles Garrett not being there, for crying out loud.
19:11So I've dealt with this and fought with this for the last several months.
19:16How much air do I give it to where I'm not being such a downer with everybody?
19:22And I don't want to be a downer with everybody.
19:24But it's now a distinct possibility.
19:26And you've got to think about the ramifications of him not being here.
19:29It makes your defense worse.
19:31How much worse does it make your defense?
19:33Well, when you have to start and finish a game plan with 95,
19:35it tends to make other people available to make plays for you.
19:39Yep.
19:39And he speeds up the clock on every quarterback he's ever played against.
19:43So because he speeds up the clock, if you have guys in the secondary who can play it,
19:47and we have, it opens up opportunities for them.
19:49It opens up opportunities for other guys along your defensive line.
19:52If he's no longer there, this defense is going to fall out of the top five.
19:57It's easily going to fall out of the top five.
19:59And probably you're looking at, with everybody else,
20:01the most ardent fan, you're looking at middle-of-the-road defense.
20:04If your offense is still behind, still lower third,
20:09you're looking at a top five draft pick, which excites a lot of people.
20:13But let me bring this up again.
20:15We all know the golden goose out of this draft.
20:18Whether you like him or not, whether you like the guy or not,
20:22we all know that he's the golden goose.
20:24Will the Manning family allow it?
20:27It's been done with his uncles, and it was done with his other uncle.
20:30People don't realize that, but it was done with Peyton.
20:32He ended up going back.
20:32It's been done with his uncles.
20:34You don't think for a second they wouldn't do it for him.
20:37They would absolutely do it for him.
20:39And so you have to make damn sure that all your eggs are in a row here
20:43as you do it, because he could very well –
20:44we could get to the end of this, and you could be competing
20:47with the Cardinals and with the Dolphins for the first overall pick
20:50to possibly go out and get that guy.
20:52The Jets as well, damn it, I didn't even think of them.
20:54The Jets, you've got four teams that would possibly be competing.
20:57If you make this move, you are one of these teams
20:59that I believe are competing for that number one overall pick,
21:01quote-unquote competing.
21:03You have to make sure that you're the place that he wants to be.
21:06Because if you're not, then we're having different conversations
21:09about other guys, and you could end up number one overall,
21:11and then he doesn't even want to be a part of it.
21:13And it just adds to the mystique of how bad your franchise has been
21:16over the last 26 seasons.
21:18Go ahead, Nick.
21:19I'm sorry.
21:19Because I think part of the sales pitch to that family,
21:22to the golden family of football and quarterbacks, would be,
21:26hey, we've got an environment where we've got a top five defense.
21:29We've got the best defensive player of this generation.
21:32We've got this retooled offensive line.
21:34We've invested so much in these receivers.
21:36This selling point to the Manning family would be, Arch,
21:39you're the missing piece to this.
21:40We've got the rest of the puzzle put together except one piece.
21:43But if Miles is gone, and you're talking about this as a middle-of-the-road defense
21:48at best, and an offense that maybe takes some steps in the right direction
21:52but still has no real answer at quarterback,
21:55I don't know what the Manning family would think of that.
21:58You know, off the heels of, if this Miles thing does come to fruition,
22:03like I believe that it's going to by June 8th,
22:06you're asking how long, how much you should give this in terms of a runway.
22:09I think he's got a report, mandatory veteran minicamp, June 9th,
22:14and he's yet to meet the coaching staff.
22:16And they don't want to be in an awkward position year one at Todd Munkin,
22:19who said that, you know, on your show that he hates crappy football
22:22and that he wants to eliminate distractions.
22:24Well, you're not going to be fining Miles Garrett
22:26in our excused absence with Miles Garrett.
22:29If this is really a situation, they're going to try to solve it by June 8th here.
22:36And that's going to be a national fallout.
22:39Will ensue.
22:40There's going to be national pundits that come out of the woodwork
22:43that we haven't heard from in years
22:45that are going to be taking their pot shots at the Browns
22:48for getting rid of the best defensive player that's ever raised this generation.
22:50When most of them wanted them to do it.
22:52Which most of them wanted them to do it.
22:54I mean, we've heard every single possibility over the last couple of years.
22:58But the Mannings are going to hear that.
22:58The Mannings are going to hear that noise and that chatter
23:00about how dysfunctional.
23:02And I know Jimmy Haslam hates that word that the Cleveland Browns are.
23:05Everybody is going to be forced to listen to that noise
23:08if they decide to make this move.
23:10So it's a move that they've got to think really long and hard about.
23:13And I'll say this before we finish it up here.
23:15Because we've got Danny coming up at 740.
23:17However, and we've got Darryl coming up at 820.
23:19Obviously, you know what we're going to talk to about him.
23:21But we're focused on the Manning scenario of this
23:24if a trade were to be made.
23:26I've also got to think about Dante Moore as well.
23:28Hopefully he doesn't fall off the face of the earth
23:31like a lot of guys who have gone back.
23:32If he goes out there and has another tremendous year,
23:35well, I still think he's a guy who probably went back.
23:37Yes, there's money that's involved from Oregon.
23:39But I think he looked at the prospects of playing for the New York Jets
23:41and said, absolutely not.
23:42Now, that's my just personal belief of it.
23:44Maybe it's different.
23:45But I think he's a guy who looked at the possibility of playing for New York.
23:48He's seen so many other guys fail.
23:49Well, if we're in that situation, then you've got to sell it to him as well.
23:53It is a different era.
23:54And there's a lot at stake here.
23:57Even if you make the move, there's a lot at stake there.
23:59We can be as excited as we want to about the draft.
24:02But then again, you've got to get some of these guys
24:04to actually agree to play for you.
