00:00Here's how to create a threaded bottle cap in FreeCAD 1.1.
00:07Create a new sketch in the part design workbench.
00:12Select the XY plane to sketch on.
00:16Then select the circle from center tool.
00:20Click on the origin and drag the mouse.
00:23Enter 33mm for the diameter and press enter to apply.
00:28Click on close to exit the sketch.
00:31Select the pad feature to extrude the circle.
00:35Check the reversed box to extrude it to the downside.
00:40Enter a length of 23mm and click on OK to apply.
00:47Click on this edge to select it.
00:50To round it select the fillet tool.
00:52Enter a radius of 5mm and click next to the box to see the preview.
00:58Click on OK to apply.
01:01Now it's time to create the threaded hole on the bottom side of the cap.
01:06Click on this face and create a new sketch.
01:11Select the circle from center tool.
01:15And draw a circle on the origin.
01:17Just click to create the circle, the diameter is not important here.
01:21Click on close to exit the sketch.
01:23Now select the hole tool.

01:32For standard, select isometric regular.
01:39For the size, select M30.
01:41Maybe not a realistic size, but this will fit the one from the bottle model.
01:48Uncheck Drill Angle to end with a flat side.
01:52For the depth, enter 20mm.
01:58For the hole type, select Mottled Thread.
02:03And check Update Thread View to make it visible.
02:07Now you have a good preview of how the thread will look.
02:12Click on OK to apply the threaded hole.
02:18And the threaded bottle cap model is finished.
