00:00Here's how to add holes for magnets to your 3D models in Bamboo Studio.
00:05When a model is loaded, click the right mouse button on the model.
00:10Go to Add Negative Part and select Cube.
00:18Click on OK to continue.
00:24Here you can select the cube.
00:28Then click on the Scale button.
00:33Uncheck Uniform Scale.
00:37For X, enter 10mm.
00:41For Y, 5mm.
00:43And for Z, 2mm.
00:49You see the dimensions of the cube have changed.
00:55Select it and click on the Move button.
01:04Click on the Align Left Right Center button to align the shape with the center in the
01:08X direction.
01:13Now align it with the center of the Y direction.
01:17You can also align it with the sides of the model.
01:23Switch to a side view by using the view cube.
01:26And you can easily align it with the top side of the model.
01:31Because the model is higher on the left, it floats.
01:37Enter the position manually.
01:43Exit the menu.
01:46Now the negative part is ready to be cut out of the model.
01:50Click on the Preview button.
01:54And you see the hole is there.
01:57You can put a magnet inside the hole for example.
02:01So if you're not capable of changing the model with other CAD software, this is a good method.
