00:00In this final video, you learn how to assemble four table legs to a tabletop.
00:04This is the leg you learned to design in the second video,
00:07and this is the tabletop from the first video in this series.
00:13First, the leg and the thread have to be fused.
00:16Select the active body and then the thread while holding the Ctrl key.
00:19Then go to Boolean operation in the part design workbench.
00:24Make sure it's set to Fuse and click on OK to apply.
00:28Now, the leg and the thread are one solid, which can be assembled correctly later.
00:34Let's start with the assembly by selecting the assembly workbench.
00:43First, click on the New assembly button and then on the Insert component button.
00:52Click on Open file to select the models that you want to assemble.
00:57So, select the leg and the table part while holding Ctrl and open them.
01:03First, select the body of the table part, which is the tabletop.
01:09You have to save the assembly before you can continue.
01:14It will be saved as a separate assembly file.
01:18And you see the tabletop has been inserted into the assembly.
01:22The lock icon means it's grounded and cannot move.
01:27When you expand the joints tab, you can see it.
01:30Click on the eye icon next to toggle the visibility of the lock icon.
01:34The same goes for the tabletop body, which you can hide.
01:40Now, click on the body of the leg to insert it.
01:45The second object is not grounded automatically.
01:50Hold the Alt key with the left mouse button to drag the object to another position.
01:55Now, insert a total of four table legs.
02:01And use the Alt key to drag them to other positions.
02:06Click on the eye icon next to the tabletop to make it visible again.
02:15First, select an edge on the tabletop.
02:21Hold the Ctrl key and select this edge on the table leg.
02:31Instead of selecting the inside edge, it's better to select the outside edge.
02:40Before you can add joints, you have to click on OK to exit this menu.
02:46Select the two edges again while holding the Ctrl key.
02:51And apply a fixed joint.
02:54This joint will connect the selected edges to each other.
02:59Click on OK to apply this joint.
03:04Now, do the same for the other table legs.
03:32You can also add an offset to a joint, but in this example, you can leave it at zero millimeters.
03:41Click on OK to apply the joint.
03:44And the table is fully assembled now.
03:50Finally, let's have a look at the design tree.
03:56By clicking these eye icons, you can easily toggle the visibility of all parts.
04:05The same goes for all joints.
04:19The same goes for all joints.
