00:00Hello. All those in the south will have noticed that fresher feel today and that fresh theme
00:05continues as we head into the new week. So underneath a cooler air mass through today
00:10and into the new week we've got an area of low pressure skirting its way southwards
00:15introducing again some colder air behind. That theme continues as we go into Tuesday
00:19and into Wednesday. As we head into Wednesday and Thursday though we are going to see more
00:24in the way of showers and stronger winds actually to the west of us. But back to the rest of
00:31this
00:31evening and overnight we've still got some cloud and rain just flirting with the south coast
00:35as we go through this evening. Otherwise this area of low pressure in the North Sea will continue
00:40to move its way southwards. So cloud outbreaks of rain across Northern Ireland, Northern England
00:46into Wales. This rain generally quite patchy in nature but behind that tapping into again some
00:53colder air. So turning cold across Scotland some of the showers over the mountain could even turn
00:59wintry with more of that brisk northerly wind. To the south holding on to clear skies here and it still
01:05will turn chilly here in rural spots perhaps seeing a touch of frost and likewise across Scotland
01:10temperatures could drop as low as minus three or minus four. But underneath the cloud and rain across
01:16this central swathe of the UK temperatures holding up overnight seven or eight degrees. So as we start
01:24Monday morning a bright start across the southeast but this cloud and rain will continue to sink its way
01:29southwards. It generally starts fragmenting and breaking up as we go through the day. So a few spots
01:35of rain possible as we end the afternoon across the south coast. But behind that plenty of blue sky
01:41developing a brighter day on offer. But we still hold on to this brisk northerly wind so it's still
01:49going to be feeling cool out there especially for the time of year and when exposed to that wind
01:54especially across eastern coast it's actually going to feel more like five or six degrees. As we head
02:00through Monday evening and overnight that rain gradually clears away we'll see late evening sunshine for
02:06many but the next weather system already moving through across western parts of Scotland and into
02:12Northern Ireland. So cloud will thicken once again here and temperatures will hold up given the amount
02:19of cloud cover. So milder here to start Tuesday morning but in the south and east where we hold on
02:25to
02:25the clearest skies a chillier night to come again with the risk of some frost. So do take note if
02:31you're a
02:31gardener. Now as we start Tuesday morning a bright start across southern parts of England but this
02:38cloud and rain associated with the cold front will continue to sink its way southwards. Again not much
02:44in the way of rainfall but a few spots of rain possible across Wales into the Midlands, east Anglia
02:49and across the home counties as we go into Tuesday afternoon. To the north of that there will be some
02:55brightening skies developing but also the risk of some showers more so focused across western parts
03:01of Scotland pushing their way further inland perhaps the odd one or two across Northern Ireland and
03:07Northern England. Across Scotland some of these could be heavy perhaps even a little bit wintry.
03:12Now ahead of that front we could see temperatures climbing up to 16 or 17 degrees but still generally
03:17below average 13 or 14 to the north. And as we head into the new week then it stays changeable
03:24we're
03:25more in the way of sunny spells and scattered showers through Wednesday and Thursday but for more details

03:34you soon.
03:34Bye bye.
