07 February - National evening forecast presented by Kathryn Chalk.
Transcript
00:00hello there's more wet weather on the way especially for scotland and more so across
00:05eastern scotland this evening and overnight so low pressure does continue to dominate
00:10a cloudy theme this evening with outbreaks of rain across northern parts of england this
00:16eventually pushing its way northwards but another separate band of rain pushing into again eastern
00:21scotland so it's here where we do have another metal fish yellow rain warning in force so we
00:27could see 25 to 30 millimeters over higher ground and falling on saturated ground and with the mild
00:35rare coming through that will also lead to some snow melt so there could be some disruption and
00:39flooding in places but back to the rest of this evening then and overnight this band of rain
00:46continues to push its way northwards into southern parts of scotland and much of scotland actually
00:51seeing cloud and outbreaks of rain to the south of that though the showers will gradually ease
00:56we will see some clearer spells developing especially across the southeast and across
01:01northern ireland and it's here underneath the light winds that we could see some mist and fog patches
01:06to start sunday otherwise it is going to be frost free temperatures holding up around six or seven
01:12degrees so a wet start especially across eastern scotland on sunday morning and much of scotland even
01:19out towards the west we could see some spells of rain otherwise across much of england wales and
01:25northern ireland that low cloud will gradually lift and break but it stays cloudy for the majority of us
01:32somewhat drier though compared to saturday we'll still have still have a few showers in the mix
01:37especially later on in the day across again southern parts across devon and cornell into wales that's
01:44where we're going to see the heaviest downpours ahead of that may even see some glimmers of sunshine
01:50otherwise temperatures still staying rather mild for the time of year especially across the north
01:55highs of 9 to 11 degrees so as we end the weekend then heavy showers across the southwest pushing
02:03further east and northwards as we go through the night so eventually across northern parts of england
02:09into southern scotland to volt towards the far southeast though across east anglia and perhaps into
02:15northern ireland holding on to the drier weather here and again the clearest skies allowing for some
02:21mist and fog patches first thing on monday otherwise the wind's still coming up from that southerly
02:26direction so temperatures still holding up at around five or six degrees to start monday morning
02:34but it's a messy picture to start monday we've got showery outbreaks of rain may merge to give longer
02:39spells of rain across northern parts of england pushing their way further northwards into again
02:45part of scotland towards the west it turns downhill again without breaks of rain come into southern
02:52parts into wales and eventually into northern ireland as well but you'll notice something a little bit
02:58drier and brighter coming through during monday afternoon across the south and east so hopefully
03:04feeling pleasant enough where you catch any sunshine highs here of up to 10 or 11 degrees that is all from
03:11me for now though but make sure to hit subscribe so you don't miss any updates and i will see you very
03:15soon bye
