00:06of rain and hill snow pushing in from the west so we've had colder air in place today and as
00:11this
00:12weather front arrives from the west and meets the colder air that's where we're going to see
00:15a mixture of rain sleet and hill snow through monday it is a case of blustery showers pushing
00:21through they'll start easing though and we'll start to see some colder air again filtering in
00:27through tuesday so we could see a frosty start then but otherwise another system coming through
00:33into wednesday and where this meets the cold air there could be further risk of rain but also
00:38some snow as we head into the midweek but let's go back to the rest of this evening so a
00:44cloudy
00:44picture to end saturday with outbreaks of rain sleet and hill snow pushing in from the west firstly
00:52across northern ireland there's a snow and ice warning in force here and then more so across
00:57scotland and northern england accompanied by this strengthening southerly breeze there will also be
01:03some snow just across the welsh mountains as well but in these areas three to seven centimeters is
01:09possible above 150 meters but even higher than that 10 to 15 centimeters possible over 400 meters to the
01:16south of that still we hold on to a lot of cloud and a lot of rain as we start
01:21sunday morning otherwise
01:23a chilly start in places with icy stretches to start sunday morning especially across scotland and
01:29northern england to the south of that lows coming up at around six or seven degrees so generally milder
01:36here but an unsettled start to sunday especially compared to saturday outbreaks of rain across the
01:43southern half of the uk could turn a little bit wintry just across east anglia as we head through
01:49the afternoon otherwise behind that we've got showers that are actually merging to give longer
01:54spells of rain heavy down downpours are possible with the risk of hail and thunder but even behind
02:00that there should be some glimmers of brightness coming through accompanied by some blustery showers
02:05otherwise highs in the south coming up at 10 or 11 degrees but unpleasant underneath all this cloud
02:11and rain across the north highs here struggling at around five or six degrees so as we end the
02:18weekend this band of rain across eastern areas will continue to push its way eastwards then turns drier
02:24across the south and east otherwise for many places it is a case of blustery showers as we head through
02:31the overnight period into the start of monday and again some of these showers could turn a little bit
02:36wintry over the hills especially across northern england and more so across scotland underneath any
02:42clear spells temperatures will fall away will give us touch of frost in places otherwise holding up
02:46around six degrees in the south so as we start the new week then it's a chilly start in places
02:54but
02:54otherwise it is mostly a day of sunny spells and frequent blustery showers pushing their way through
02:59some of the showers will merge at times across northern ireland and into wales to give longer spells of
03:05rain but like i said there should be some drier weather and some glimpses of sunshine as well
03:10still the showers also feeding in from the north there'll be a little bit wintry across scotland
03:16otherwise highs of 9 or 10 degrees in the south that is all from me for now but make sure
