00:00Good morning, it's a pretty mild start out there but there will be some spells of heavy rain for most
00:05of us throughout the day.
00:06We've got low pressure in charge at the moment, it's brought with it milder air but also plenty of weather
00:11fronts
00:11and it's this cold front that brings the risk of some quite heavy rain through this afternoon.
00:16Behind that, slightly more settled, a risk of showers into Thursday before the next batch of wet weather
00:21and quite windy weather moves in for Friday.
00:24So all change throughout the next few days.
00:27Through this morning though, plenty of cloud around, damp start for some of us, particularly across the north and more
00:33western areas
00:34and this is the spell of quite heavy rain I mentioned earlier.
00:37It pushes eastwards through the country around lunchtime, bringing with it some gusty winds as well.
00:43Now either side of this band of rain, there will be some sunshine, some brighter weather out there
00:47and it's not going to feel too bad in the sunshine at all, particularly across more eastern areas,
00:52parts of eastern England, northeastern England as well as northeastern Scotland
00:56and could see temperatures into the high teens.
00:58Further west, it will be a little bit fresher this afternoon but not too bad in the sunshine out of
01:04the wind
01:04but there is a risk of some quite heavy downpours through this evening as well.
01:08It then turns a bit drier overnight, some cloud pushing in from the west, clearer skies across the east
01:13so it will be a slightly fresher night for more eastern areas
01:17but we will escape any frost wherever you are once again.
01:21And then Thursday brings with it the prospect of more sunshine but also further showers,
01:26particularly across more north-western areas.
01:29Here the winds will be quite strong through the day as well as the south-westerly wind.
01:33Further south, yes, some brighter weather, risk of the odd lighter shower
01:37but I think for most of us it should be actually a relatively dry day on Thursday.
01:42Again, temperatures in the mid-teens, not quite as warm as Wednesday is going to be
01:46but I think with more sunshine we'll feel the benefit of those milder temperatures.
01:51And then through the rest of the week, well, low pressure sticks with us.
01:55As I said, a spell of windy wet weather through Friday
01:58but then there are signs of some change.
02:00High pressure moving in across more southern areas through Saturday, dominating into Sunday.
02:05So some drier weather on the cards at least.
