00:00Good morning. If you're planning on getting out this weekend, today definitely brings the better
00:05prospect of drier weather. Plenty of sunshine for many of us to start the day as well. Clear skies,
00:10particularly across many eastern areas, a frosty start out there, but that should melt away quite
00:15quickly once the sun comes out. We've got showers pushing in across more northwestern areas through
00:21the day. However, they won't be as frequent as they were yesterday, but they still bring a risk
00:25of snow above around 400 metres. Elsewhere, though, it should remain largely dry, though you'll notice
00:30there is a risk of the odd shower across some areas of England as well as Wales. Now, with lighter
00:36winds
00:36and more sunshine, it's going to be a warmer day today. 11 degrees across more central areas, 8 or 9
00:42degrees across the west and further north. However, that's a little below average, so it will still feel
00:47a bit disappointing despite that sunshine. However, tomorrow does bring more in the way of wet and windy
00:54weather, so do make the most of it. This evening looks largely dry at first, but from the west,
00:59that wet and windy weather does spread in, bringing with it a lot of cloud across much of the western
01:05parts of the UK into Wales and across the Midlands as well. Across the far east, we could see a
01:10touch
01:10of frost by Sunday morning, but I think that milder, cloudier weather will push in, so that frost risk
01:17won't last all that long into Sunday morning. With the wind strengthening as well, it's going to be
01:23a pretty breezy day on Sunday, particularly when we're close to the area of low pressure up to the north
01:28of the UK, so western areas of Scotland seeing gusts of around 40 miles per hour. And what's the main
01:34rain band clears through? Then there's further showers, these quite frequent, bringing a risk of hail as well as some
01:40heavy downpours as well. So all in all, a pretty unsettled day to come on Sunday, which is of course
01:47mothering Sunday, so make sure you've got some indoor plans for your lunchtime outings if you do
01:52have one. But it will be a milder day, highs of 12 or possibly 13 degrees across more central areas
01:58of the UK, 10 or 11 degrees though for many areas, so a milder day, temperatures much closer to average.
02:06Now how do things change as we head into the start of the new week? Well that weather front clears
02:10out
02:11the way, but then the next one does push into the northwest quite quickly. However, there are signs
02:16as the week goes on that we start to build high pressure in from the near continents so that spring
02:21sunshine could return by Wednesday. So make sure you stay tuned through this weekend and subscribe to
